Hannah cut my hair last week. Today when I was getting ready to leave the house I put my hair in a pony and while I was brushing my teeth I noticed a huge chunk of hair that didnt get cut. On top of saying I look like a Christmas tree and not bothering to brush out my hair after thinning it so that I had hair out all over walmart as I walked around. Not a great job. I WILL NOT EVER GO BACK!

I came in with a reference picture to color my hair and I asked if it was something they could do. I asked for dark brown roots blended into blonde. Hannah seemed very confident and excited to do it and claimed she was known for her color skills in school. She was very friendly and I enjoyed talking with her! At the end of the visit she only dried the bottom of my hair and left the top very wet. I never color my hair, so this seemed semi-normal to me. When I got home and dried my hair, I saw the mess she left me with. The brown was not blended into the blonde and was very choppy and uneven. You can see the straight edge line between the brown and the blonde. I went back and the other girls were very friendly and happy to help solve the problem. I did not want Hannah to fix my hair so they issued a full refund. I unfortunately have to say I wont be going back. It is definitely a place to go for a basic haircut or trim, but nothing more.

Quality stylist, great value for the price. Been getting my hair cut done at the Newton Smartstyle for the last almost 5 years.

I like getting my hair cut at Smart Style Hair Salon located in the Newton Kansas Walmart. There is a stylist that I always request. She is great. The Smart Style also offers a senior citizen discount and send good coupons via their website that you can apply towards your hair cut/styling or product purchase.

Absolutely the worst haircut Ive ever got the hairdresser did not listen to a word I said it was way too short and it was completely uneven there must have been at least an inch different between the back of my head and the front of my head

I would like to open with I do work in this salon, but the reason I give our salon 5 stars is because1. We are constantly growing2. We have been told we have one of the cleanest salons by state inspectors, clients, and those who maintain our salon (lighting, floors, etc)3. Our stylists are talented, friendly, and understanding. Not everyones personalities mesh, client to stylist, but wed rather you give another one of us a try you might be surprised.4. Our work is AWESOME! :) (Ill try to post some in the images).in the 8 years I have been a stylist I have worked at both booth rent and commission style salons, I enjoy it here. I love the clients, stylists, and the company I work for!CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU!

Went in on a whim and was lucky enough to be seen by Shannon. My son has been wanting this haircut for quite a while and we havent been able to pull off the style, let alone try the cool design. We are thrilled with the outcome and have already gone back again and plan to continue on.

Fast friendly and affordable.

Very disappointed !Went in last week and wasnt happy. Was told I have to be seen and it fixed by same stylist.She admitted she didnt even cut the top. Instead she cut the longer layers that were below my shoulders super short. They dont even lay on shoulders now.I was very clear I didnt want to loss length and what I wanted. Came home with top layers that barely reach top of my ear !They were almost to bottom of chin when I went in. They did not listen nor did they care about what I was saying. I will not go back.

They have patience with my special needs daughter who thinks getting a hair cut hurts. They can even get it pretty straight which is no easy task.

Always a great experience when I go in. Never have to wait long to get seated. My stylist always knows what I want and if I dont know what I want is always good with different ideas. The ladies know all the products well and can point you in the right direction for whatever you need. This is the only place I go in town for product and hair needs.

Love coming here. Ive been coming here for years, and have only had one bad experience with my color being too dark. Cassie had me come right back in and corrected it free of charge! All the girls there make you feel like family and are always happy to see you!

Yesterday was the first time in 6 months I could have my baby taken care of and leave home to do my hair. I was a walk-in...the lady who got my data at the entrance had such long and dirty nails that I was praying to myself: please, dont tell me you are going to do my hair, cause if she had I would just turn away, never would let anyone like that touch me or my hair...then I got a guy who was so loud and spoke like a professional, Matt is his name, I described what I wished, nothing special, really,just to trim the dead ends and make a long fringe...so when he was sort of done he forgot about the request to do a fringe and when I mentioned it he just cut it in the middle of the forehead not measuring anything!!! Never did I cry before in my life after leaving a hair saloon-he made me look like a star from the movie about psychopaths...mentioning: it will grow back!Awful experience, so unprofessional and careless,never coming back and dont recommend this place to anyone!!!

My husband and I took all four of our girls to get their hair cuts before school. The ladies were very nice to us and asked us and our girls what they would like. Very respectful and friendly. Sad to say there was not enough time to get our hair cuts so we went back the next day. JoHanna was nice and friendly but not so good at cutting hair. Both my husband and I were disappointed with our experience

A great place to go for walk in services and salon hair supplies. This chain of stores seems to frequently have BOGO 1/2 off sales on hair products, so if you see something you want, get it while the sale is going! Since these stores lease space out of area Walmart locations, and their walk in times can be busy at times, you have the option to add your name to the walk in list and leave your cell phone number, so you can be called when they are ready, while you do your Wal-Mart shopping. The option is also there to call ahead and schedule an appointment with your favorite stylist.

They do great with my kids my son loves.

Took my 3 year old to get her first hair cut. When she was too scared to do it Derinda talked to her while our son got his hair cut. After we left my daughter decided she was ready, so we went back, she hopped up in the chair and let Derinda cut it for her. Was really impressed with the way Derinda put my baby at ease and made her first cut an enjoyable experience.

They raised the Price on Haircuts $26.00 for a mans Haircut with Beard Trimmed.

Horrible place, I use to live going here but lately Ive had horrible experiences and so did my two friends. One girl waxed half of my friends eyebrow off and didnt even tell her about it. Then getting my hair cut she cut it so uneven I had to go pay another Solon to fix it. And when I complained all I got was a rude response. They all need to go back to school!
