My husbands high-end car was hit by a hit-and-run driver. Enterprise is contracted through State Farm for rentals. Reed from Enterprise called us almost immediately after we reported our accident to State Farm. We had a detailed discussion with Reed about the type of car we needed (Reed offered us a BMW or an SUV and didnt indicate any problem with availability)and what the State Farm rate was, so we were rather impressed at this point.Then it all went downhill. We showed up the next morning at 9 am, as arranged, no Reed was there, of course, and were offered a damaged Chevy Impala. We said no to that, and after misquoting the rate to us, they said we could come back to get a BMW later in the day. So I had to go back and pick up my husband and bring him home.Later, we were notified that the BMW was there. I dropped my husband off, and 15 minutes later got a call to pick him up. The BMW had various mechanical problems and wasnt drivable. Again, we had gotten no heads up on this. I had to drive back again to get my husband. Now, we have no car. This Enterprise branch has virtually no cars on the lot, and the ones that are there seem to be damaged or in mechanical disrepair. They said they would look for another car, but we dont have any more time to play around with this. If you want a junk car that may or may not be on the lot, this is the place for you. For me, they have wasted my and my husbands day after a very devastating day yesterday from a hit and run driver. No thanks.

Booked online. Showed up to the store and no vehicles were available except one with a check engine light. Clerk called to have another delivered and stated he couldnt accept either of my debit cards due to corporate policy only accepting credit cards for out of state ID. I found Turo and booked with them. Same price but instead of enterprises corolla I found a Range Rover, porche, and Maserati for the same cost! Do yourself a favor and use Turo app if you dont have a credit card. Sorry Im not in credit card debt enterprise....

Terrible experience. Assistant manager kept telling us how much our vehicle was and stated I need to make sure you can cover my 100k vehicle. Actually called my insurance. Never in 20 plus rentals had that happen. I guess he saw a family that had been displaced by the Irvine Fires and thought he could be constant condescending. Vehcile was dirty everywhere. Im a veteran and have a disability. Sad experience for three children and a parent. I will never go back here.This assistant manager has been there for a few years and several bad reviews and they still keep managing the same way. People go through things like a fire. I had three small children with me. I am a veteran. Maybe that doesnt mean much to Enterprise since the manager is so young. I was displaced to the mandatory evacuation. I am also disabled. What else screams be nice. New management would be in order in Newport. Speed of the boss, speed of the crew as they are watching

My experience with this Enterprise was very good. All the staff was very attentive and friendly. I was always picked up on time and taken back promptly to where I was staying after returning the car. The office was also good about reminder calls the day before the rental. All in all a great experience.

Took my BMW for service at the BMW service center located next door to that enterprise .The BMW place was running out of looner cars to drive until my car service is done .so they sent me to that place to pick up a car free of charge .I did and after I got a call from the BMW that my car service has been completed I went dropped off the enterprise vehicle they took the key and told me you are good to go.A month later I receive my credit card statement (that they kept on file at enterprise ) and there us a charge of $114Contacted sterling BMW to see what that charge for they told me they put insurance on the vehicle and this is the amount for the period that u used the car..When I signed up to take the vehicle I thought its just a signature for taking the car not for the insurance .When I dropped off the car someone tool the key from me and told me (you are good to go) never mentioned any coming charges ..Be more aware of that place and dont get ripped off.

Absolutely horrendous service, I scheduled a pick up for noon and they were closed when I got there.

Always quick, friendly service by upbeat, energetic young people, most of whom appear to be starting out in their careers. For me, it is a short walk from my home, so I find it very convenient, with the exception of the fact that they are closed on Sundays. You cannot rent a vehicle for one day on a Saturday, as you cannot return it on a Sunday, so you must pay for two days. This is nuts! They should charge you for only one day, if the vehicle is returned by 10am Monday.

The customer service agent stated they would drop me off 20 miles away but when I asked if they would drop me at John Wayne airport only 7 miles away the return agent declined. Said they only have a 5 mile drop off range. Ended up getting dropped off at Starbucks near the airport and had a short walk to JwA. Would like more consistency in services promised.

Careful! Many Cars are missing registration which makes them illegal to drive!! My debit card was charged inaccurately and unauthorized multiple times. Told one price on the phone by Manager Josh and then 30 minutes later billed almost double by other manager Johny Pen. They blamed it on the new upper lever manager Taylor Brown. I called her twice and never heard back. Im an Enterprise gold member and have been using this location 6+ years. Ive never seen so many corporate policies and values disregarded. Ill be using another location or another company.

Wait time was very short picking up and dropping off. The employees were nice with good customer service. The car we got was a Ford Fusion was marginal at best. Would not rent that car again.

This particular rental location has been my go-to for rental cars for years, they have never disappointed yet. They are professional, accommodative and courteous. The location has always left a positive image of your entire company in my mind after the completion of a rental. Car was very dirty all around and smelled like someone drove and sweat inside for days. I had to wipe the car clean as best as I could and put Downey sheets to cover the smell. It also had a weird sound when braking and didn’t feel safe. THE worst experience ever! Customer service was awful as well. They need to shut down to make drastic improvements all around. Need to send management for comprehensive customer service and management trainings.

We rented 3 15 passenger vans for a big trip and the rental process could not have gone smoother. The employees were very professional and the check in and check out was fast and seamless. I will definitely rent here again.

Always use enterprise. Change from the shop I used for years because they refused to match another shop. Only 6 miles away. There are 5 shops in 10 square miles not including the airport and the airport is as much as 40 percent higher then the local shops.

Worth place everI made reservations for car and I came all the way to get the car and they didn’t give me the car cuz something go wrong with the System

Great rental location, tho we attempted to upgrade to a larger size vehicle but they were short on vehicles due to the size of this location. They provided transportation to and from our hotel which made the whole process very seamless.

Rented a car from here for my trip to OC. The staff member that helped me out was very straightforward and there were no hiccups in the rental. The only issue I have was that he didnt really run through the toll requirements for driving in the area. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

So I recently got a rental form this place and everything was fine except that they take a long time to give you your deposit refund, it has been more than a week and I still havent gotten my money back, I understand that Sterling hasnt approved the billing yet but that is not my problem, you have a contract with them not me, it is your job to call bmw and ask them why this is taking too long .This is absolutely ridiculous.

DONT RENT FROM THIS LOCATIONHorrible customer service, plus they rent out cars with mechanical issues.Ask them to switch and you will be denied just like I was .To top it off, the Manager was completely unprofessionalRENT SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!YOU WILL REGRET RENTING HERE

Horrible service and the guy running the phone/front desk had an attitude from the 1st phone call till we got our rental car.... Stay way from Enterprise Newport at all costs if you have a chance book else where do it. I would have paid more for a car just because of the poor service and horrible attitude of Manger Jake and the rest of the staff. Normally I have a great experience with this company but this was far from that.

Was in Newport Beach for work and planned going to LA to see friends. Reserved a car online the week before. Called at 8am to schedule a pickup, sat on the automated system for 20 min. Took a cab instead to Enterprise. Got there and there was only one guy there, the manager. Said four employees called is sick. Serious? he stated it was a rough week because the Senior PGA tour was in town. I asked why is that my problem?. Id reserved and midsize. He said they had no cars available. and for me to wait. An hour and a half later, he gives me a Town & Country minivan. I should have taken the cab to John Wayne Airport...Wanted to avoid the airport surcharges which in Cali are extreme. He told me he was sorry and that this was an embarrassment and that the rental would be free...Really? OK...Make it right. Returned my vehicle at LAX with full charges and no note of what happened on my file. Very frustrating and unprofessional.The above was my review the last time I used the Newport Beach location. Dont know why is wasnt submitted. Guess I failed to hit Post. This time around had a much better experience. Timely, clean car. Glad to see you got your act together at this location. Its a great local for when Im seeing clients in SoCal. Was wondering why I never heard from you about the previous experience.

Id love to know how I was charged for an additional 2 hours when I have an Uber receipt proving the car was back at 10:00 AM as agreed upon in my rental agreement.
