Average rental place. Independently owned. I’m a Preferred Plus member of Avis; every time I rent from an airport I get upgraded. I’ve never received an upgrade from this Avis location. Cars are not as clean as they should be. The befit of renting from this location is 1) closed to John Wayne Airport; and 2) i don’t pay the airport additional fees. Saves me a few dollars.

Amongst all rental offices I’ve dealt with, No rental car agencies my in Orange Country provides better service than Avis 4200 Campus Dr. New Port Beach 🏝 . Maureen and Chris are very helpful and courteous.

At pickup in Newport Beach, David was extremely courteous and professional. A great experience. At drop off at the Lake Forest local location, my experience was extremely the opposite, she was unpleasant, grumpy, and cold. If the latter experience was not the case, Avis would have had a raving 5 stars!

I had an emergency and Peter was the one who helped me initially last Friday. I know it wouldve been far more cost-effective if I had made a reservation online, but he walked me through it calmly, seeing how stressful I was that day. He was very thorough on the entire process and showed me two options. When I brought it back yesterday, Chris was very helpful on processing the return and answered my questions promptly.If youve never rented a car before, you are assured that Peter and Chris would help you all the way. I rent cars regularly. And this has been the best experience ever. Things can get really busy around the holidays but the gentlemen that work at the Avis on campus drive are sweet as pie. He upgraded my rental to a more plush SUV because I had to wait a little while. But the wait didn’t bother me at all, b/c it’s the holidays and people get busy. The SUV rental was only 267.00 for an entire week, which I thought was a steal.. I loved the car it was a smoooth drive. I was just happy all together with the service the rental. Good people working at Avis on campus drive. I will definitely be back XOXO

Great Staff and great company, I will rent with them again. To park your car isn’t easy but there is street parking close to the location. Well deserved 5 stars!

Dishonest I filled up the car right before I returned it. Avis charged me $110 for 10 gals of fuel. The gas station is like 2 miles away. Called customer service told me i need proof. i paid with cash at the gas station dont have the receipt. Avis sorry cant help you. Asked for a supervisor said they will call in 48 hrs but its been 5 days no calls.

Chris, the manager, made the rental experience fantastic! Highly recommend renting from his location. I sat waiting for my ride for a few minutes and he greeted many of his regulars by name.

This is the best rental place in Orange County and the best in the Nation, if you value flexibility, kindness, honesty and quality customer service. I will never go to another place when in Orange County. They are simply the best. Avis is a reliable company with great rates, no scam artists.

This is by far the most dysfunctional rental car place I’ve ever been to. I had to wait an hour just to pick up a car that was prepaid for. First their computer crashed then the printer crashed then the 1 guy that works there tried to reboot everything so the printer started printing everything from a week ago. Clearly the printer was broken for a whole week. 1 hour I waited and I’m still waiting as I write this review. Absolutely disgusting!!! I’m never renting from this company again. Whoever runs this branch should be absolutely ashamed and fired immediately.

This Avis location is a hidden gem! Where do I begin? Great location, car selection, & rental prices. Each time I rent a car, Yash & Chris go above & beyond in accommodating my needs. They both have a can do attitude, and are so friendly and welcoming. You can tell that they both enjoy their jobs, and it really shows. Even when they are busy with customers in person & on phone, they always seem to make sure that no one is ignored. They never try to hard upsell/upgrade add-ons/services. And they are both so capable and efficient, in the quick check-in/check-out process. I am so thankful that when I am in need of a car rental, that I have a go-to that I can depend on. Thanks, Avis!

Ima keep it 💯 service was great as soon as I stepped in to the lot I was greeted kindly and helped quickly. In less than 10min I was driving out.

Car maintenance. Oil light came on during drive. Roadside assistance sent us to another Avis to exchange cars and the agent there told us before we could exchange cars we had to go fill the car up with gas.

They go out of their way to take quick and professional care of us!
