The technicians arrived within the expected window of time. They were professional. They were able to quickly diagnose the problems. Recommend solutions And completed the repairs in a timely manner.
Very interesting as they did not post the first review I sent. Do not use Sears repair service for your water heater. I called as the information on my Kenmoore water heater said it still had a warranty on parts and labor. When I called Sears they said that it was stilll under warranty for the parts but not the labor. They assured me the total charge would be $99 for the labor. The guy comes out and tears the lower unit apart and then told my wife it needed a flushing also. She texted me and I said no, it was flushed at the end of March. Sure enough the repair person admitted it was clean clear water as he went ahead and flushed it. Then the technician said that its $249 as he had to put it back together which is not what we were quoted. The tech said to just complain as they do it all the time. Over an hour after the technician left we recieved an email that is signed with an X not our signature for an estimate of $249. On the lower portion of the estimate it clearly states that in Ca a written estimate is required beforehand.. I have been calling Sears every four days and each time they have no reference of my previous calls, switch me to other departments, provide me with 800 numbers that are busy or voicemails that are full and always have no information of any previous calls. Every CS person apologises and they see the signature with an X and understand this is not LEGAL and promises a refund but again, they are very sorry but they do not see a refund being processed. One CS person said she was sending me a copy of the refund to my email. Two hours later I called the 800 number back and a different person said they unfortunately can never send an email. I was also asked to send an email to Sears and provided the address and never recieved a response and lastly, asked for a supervisor to call back by chat and never got a call.
Compressor went out on my refrigerator sears technician would not do the job unless I agreed to replace the compressor, condenser and motherboard, would have cost over $1,000. I declined and went elsewhere to have compressor replaced for less than half the price sears would have charged and fridge works just fine.
Technician was timely, polite, was not hurried and explained in detail the issue.
Our technician Mohammad S was fantastic and went out of his way to fix our refrigerator within a day. He came first thing in the morning to assess the issue, and then went out of his way to get the part we needed and came back later that night to replace part so our fridge would work. We appreciate and are thankful for his time and efforts.
Best repair. My Stove is working now excellent. Highly recommend
I would give the technicians five start. The technicians who came to my house to fix the broken appliance were cordial, respectful and knowledgeable. They know what they were doing and got the job done in no time.I am giving ZERO Stars (not an option so had to give them one star) because .... Initially i had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment and guess what it was a no show. They did not even care to let me know that they will not be able to make that appointment. I had to call in again and get a new appointment for no mistake of mine and i had to wait 2 more weeks. The Tech shows up and had to order parts that was one more week before the appliance was up and running. FIVE to SIX weeks to fix an appliance is not acceptable by any standard. The customer service reps were cordial but were not taking responsibility for the no show and I ended up waiting for 5 to 6 weeks.12/26/2017It happened again. Second time.... this is absolute nonsense. Please do not fall for this SCAM.....
Sergio was perhaps the best repair-person that has ever visited our house! Very informative, very friendly and polite, and best of all, did the water-heater-repair job needed in about 20 minutes! He also give me some great tips on water-heater maintenance to extend its life. Job very-well-done. Thanks, Sergio! :-D
I called Sears to fix my washer that had a connectivity fault in the electronics. At the time of the call, they up-sold me to $50 a year with a $75/visit charge to cover all major appliances in my home. I asked several times to ensure this was true as it seemed a good deal. It took them three visits to fix a relatively simple problem, but thats ok.About three months later, I noticed that they had been charging us $50 a month, not $50 a year!! They completely lied to me when the signed us up. AND they wont let me cancel without a $99 fee. AND they wont even give me someone to talk to about it. Told me that we could write a letter to the corporation. They are a complete scam. Completely misrepresented themselves. Flat out lied and wont work with you to fix it. Dont use them!!!
The service by the technician was superb! The issue that will be an on going problem is with the circuit board. It simply is not powerful enough to receive signal from more than a few feet from the garage door. This is the 3rd Sears Garage door opener over the years and the worst, because of this issue. This needs to be upgraded!
The service man was helpful and ordered a new dispenser drawer for our washer. He also checked our dryer while he was here. He was amazed at how well our appliances have been cared for over the past 8 years. All checked out just fine. Thanks for such good service.
Great service. The technician called ahead, arrived when he said would, fixed my machine, was polite, friendly and neat. Everything you expect but usually never get!! Kudos to Patrick.
Very impressed with the service and professionalism. On time, worked quickly and efficiently. First time in a long time that I have been completely satisfied with the service provided.
The lady Technician who came out to assess and provide maintenance was the best service technician that I have seen. She was sharp, efficient and very forthcoming about the best and most important ways to maintain my LG washer. She is a credit to Sears and would be outstanding anywhere
The repair technician was able to quickly fix the problem with my dishwasher. He had a very friendly and professional manner. His name is Richard and Ive had him as a technician before. Thanks, Richard! Good job!
Sears has been out repeatedly keeping this old 2006 refrigerator alive. After failing to resolve a serious icing issue, the last technician ran a thorough diagnosis, ordered parts, and returned to complete the repair. He displayed professionalism, technical knowledge, and great customer interface skills. So far, the problem appears to be fixed, so only time will tell. This is not Sears best product, with all the work thats been performed in the past.
Both service Technicians are very professional. They know their job well. I admire the tech. who fixed our stove. He even wore booties when he entered the house. Great job Blue Team. Keep it up.
Sears came to the house 3 times and never fixed the problem with my air conditioner. 1st time, they couldnt find anything wrong even though there was ice forming on the heat pump. 2nd time, they wouldnt workon it because there was ice on the heat pump. 3rd time, the diagnostic was that there was a refrigerant leak and that it would cost a $1 to recharge and the leak MIGHT be in this $4000 unit. Very poor
My dishwasher hasnt worked in 8 months! We have had Sears repair people out 11 times and even though we have a warranty, they havent fixed the machine nor replaced it. When you try to call Sears, you are on hold for literally an hour at a time, then transferred a bunch of times, then either disconnected to connected with employees that have no idea what good customer service is! I will NEVER EVER buy one more thing from Sears. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WORK OR WORD. I wouldnt give them any stars but this site is making me or I cant post on it.
The scheduling department worked with our schedule. The service person called us before the scheduled time to advise us that he was on the way. The service person was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and respectful of us and our home. Great job!
Sears now contracts with DISH to do the maintenance service and I am not happy at all with the competence of the person they sent. He was professional and courteous, but NOT trained well at all. The service that he did was something I essentially could have done myself by just cleaning my appliances. There was a checklist provided by Sears for which he did not fully complete saying he didnt know where the part to check for was even located! Very dissatisfied with the training Sears is providing their contracting company. Even worse is I called to speak with a manager to rectify this and was promised a call back to reschedule a Sears technician to come out and NO ONE has even called me back. The warranty we purchased was a huge waste of money!
The tech was good. He even fixed the loose parts of the washing machine that the other tech didnt do. I called for dryer service only. The tech does good work and some.
Waited a month for repair after the diagnosis and waiting for parts. Only the refrigerator was out but NOW the freezer doesnt freeze so I am out both....after calling many different numbers in Sears the best they could do is re schedule service again at a later date. So now I have waited 6 weeks total, out over $120 in ice for 4 ice chests and have lost some foods in freezer, including $92 worth of medical food for my terminally ill husband...(easy to prove if necessary).I was offered today points to shop Sears for compensation and I STILL do not have a working refrigerator. My refrigerator was bought new in 2012 and I have had problems every year. Points at Sears is NOT what I want....resolution of fixed refrigerator and replacement of freezer food makes more sense!!! Thanks, Sheila Taber
Unfortunately my gas grill is still not right it has almost been 2 months and 4 tech visits later still not right. The technician tried his best but could not fix the problem. I have 4 burner grill. Main burner lights sometimes, one burner does not light at all. the other 2 light but make a popping noise I only gave 2 stars because of the technician. Otherwise I would give this experience negative stars if it would let me.
We were very pleased with service repair. We found Service Tech Bassiv both very knowledgeable and helpful in answering our questions. We were so pleased that we purchased your best service warranty.
Technician came later than the scheduled time. Did not open the electric key pad to check if there is loose connection. Few years back we had great service from Sears. Technician opened the keypad and repaired the loose connection. We told the technician about the loose connection but he was sure about part failure, He confirmed the parts are not available and charged the fee. Then he was selling his other products.
A Sears repair person assured me during a service call on November 4, 2015 that my Cozy gas wall heater was safe to use and, according to his report, running properly. On November 6, 2015, PG&E rendered the unit inoperable until repaired as it was found, upon inspection, to be emitting carbon monoxide gas, a gas toxic to humans. After repeated conversations with a number of customer service specialists, Sears refuses to refund the $129.99 they charged me for the service call. I find it nothing short of incredible that Sears maintains that I should pay for a service call that could have resulted in physical harm to the inhabitants of my home. How does one rate such incompetence and arrogance?
Rudy was on time and called ahead. Did the work quickly and even gave me some tips on maintaining the refrigerator for general wear.Very pricey though. Just the appointment cost 95 and then another 145 for the service work of repairing clogged defrost drain and clean up.
My service call was promptly taken care of, parts were ordered and sent to my home. Technician arrived on time and took care of the service efficiently and quickly
I think waiting 14 days for service is terrible. The service people were great. So they had to order a part. The part came 3 days and then it was another 14 days before they could come back out.
Our first appointment was for over a week away. We were able to reschedule the appointment on the web. Bassir arrived and determined the washer pump was not working, but he did not have the part with him. He picked up the part that evening and came to install it the next day. Bassir was friendly and helpful and did an excellent job.
This place is closed. Dont waste time visiting
The part system ad credit card system was very slow. Also I was told i could have a $20 credit for having both washer and dryer evaluated. I did not receive the credit. The repairs were as much as a new machine. Outragous!
The repair on our microwave was scheduled for a couple of days after we called. The two repairmen were very efficient and polite. The repair did not take long as it was only a switch.
Dan came on time even though my address wasnt on google maps yet. He was very professional and helped me understand what was causing the leak. It was an easy fix.
This is strictly for our May 16th service for our washer. James, the repair technician for Sears, was excellent: super knowledgeable in the repair process and very courteous. He went above and beyond all areas of repair and maintenance service for both our Kenmore washer and Kenmore dryer... We highly recommend him. The process of getting a repair appointment, however, was a bit frustrating. You have to speak to a Tech person first (at 1-800-4-MY-HOME) and theyre the ones who decide if you need a repair appointment or not. A total a waste of time for us as appliance warranty holders. Just give us a repair appointment already...
Tech flushed tank and reset thermostat. Bought an extended 5 yr warranty so never have to worry again about it breaking down its fully covered.
I had given one because i did not find anything less than that. Worst scheduling and management. I scheduled an appointment on a saturday evening between 1to 5. I did not get a single notification as to when the technician would come to fix the issue. Called 4 times to the call center and everytime i was told that the associate will come between 4 - 5. Finally the technician calls at 5 saying that he cannot come and i have to reschedule my appointment. I call Sears and without any apology they straight away ask me to cancel the appointment and then wait for a day to reschedule.Firstly I am not sure how they are surviving with such an useless customer service. Secondly the stupid process of canceling an appointment and waiting a day to reschedule. How on earth do they think that i can just forgo whatever happened and wait for another day to reschedule with the these people.I work in similar customer service domain and i understand issues do happen but if you respond to issues in this manner than you are making your customer even more frustrated.I do not recommend them to anyone.
I had a dryer repair done. The machine wasnt turning off at the end of the cycle. The technician gave an invoice of $550+ for this repair, - almost half the price of a new one. It seemed one board had to replaced and it costs $250+. I reluctantly agreed. My bad that I forgot about the 20% duscount they were offering online. I thought it would be taken care of automatically and forgot about it when the technician came. But the main reason i am giving 3 stars is for the quote for the control board. The same day after the technician left, i checked the price for the same part was $116 only, and available at sears parts direct. I called their customer service and told them about the price difference. They kept on transferring the call. The last person I spoke with said someone will call in 72 hours. But noone called. The part did come on time. And the more strange thing happened on the day the technician came to replace the board. The dryer was working correctly, i.e. shutting off at the end of the cycle. Nevertheless I replaced the board. But I dont know it is the technicians fault of not making a cheaper fix, or is it just luck. Bottomline, please check the price of the parts before accepting the quoted price.
We ordered repair service for our refrigerator, the water dispenser is not working. First time the technician came to diagnose the problem, he said he found the problem. He ordered the parts and schedule the another time to replace the parts. When the second time the technician (different one) came, after he replace the parts, the water dispenser is still not working. He said this is a mainboard problem and not parts available. We got charged for $99 without any results. We are not satisfied for the service. In order to have this rate posted, I have select at least one star so I did. Other wise, I would give none star.
The service rep was pleasant, thorough, friendly and full of household tips. Please send him back for our next service appointment
Incorrect Diagnosis for the AC problem. The problem was in the furnace where the fan was not working. Instead, Sears went ahead and pumped Freon in the evaporator coils suspecting a leak or low Freon. And I was being asked to replace the evaporator coils. Luckily, I got a second opinion, and got the problem solved. I will not call Sears again for home appliance repairs.
The repair technician did not have the diagnosis from the original technician who came out. He kept asking our Nanny what was worng with the dishwasher. We paid up front when the first technician came out. the technician who came to actually fix the dishwasher kept asking our nanny for payment and stood in our kitchen for 30 minutes and REFUSED TO LEAVE MY HOUSE making my nanny and my children uncomfortable. after 25 minutes of us telling our nanny via phone (I was at work) that we had paid, he FINALLY called the service center and found out we had in fact paid in full and left. the fact that he refused to leave my kitchen and didnt know what the issue was really bothers me. this is unacceptable. If you believe you are owed money and dont want to leave the address, he should have waited in HIS CAR and called his service center FIRST. not waited 25 minutes in my kitchen. I am incredibly unhappy with the way this was handled and I almost wish I did not have a service contract with them.
Repair man came - said nothing was wrong with my dryer that doesn’t dry properly or requires a couple of repeat drying cycles - told me to check my vents were clean and left. I wasn’t there myself but I did tell them when making my appt that I had all the vents cleared before having the dryer installed. It works the same as before he came - still not drying well! Actually since installation a year ago there have been problems - but I gave it a year! So not really satisfied 😬
He was great. On time and very quick.
I want to be fair in my rating. I am ok! with the techs. that cometo work on my appliances. But I am not happy with the peoplewho schedule appts. I had a problem with the fridge it took 3monbefore they could fix it .Lost a lot of food from my freezer.Who doI complain to to replace that. The warranty is under my nameMaria Martinez
Sears is the WORST! Weve had the extended warranty for 20 years and its not worth it! The refrigerator broke on July 28th and it was finally repaired on September 25th. The old one was 20 years old. Where do you put the broken one while youre waiting for it to be fixed? With only weekday appointments, we missed hours of work. I cant count the number of hours spent on the phone trying to find out when the parts were coming. By the time they paid for the rental refrigerator, the parts, and three service calls, they could have easily just bought us a new refrigerator.
Very bad experience. The guy who came was very rude and did not do anything. I was in the office and my wife asked him to talk to him and he refused to come on the phone. He told that parts are not included in warranty. Its amazing that when u buy new appliance at Sears store, the sear associated will do tall promises for the Sears warranty and almost brain wash u to purchase this expensive warranty. This is really waste of money.Very disappointed.
The Service members was vertical professional and provided outstanding service.
On time, professional and a quick repair. Very satisfied.
Excellent and very friendly service - quick and no-hassle
Great tech, well done repair. Tech was knowledgeable, efficient, and personable.
It was quick, it was painless, it was on time and it was free because I have your extended warranty.
Repair guy was awesome but ice maker still not making ice.
He was efficient informative and all around excellent
The phone operators are the worst. All I wanted was for someone to come out and take a look at our dryer and had to call twice to get it done.
So I purchased a refurbished Dishwasher and when I had it installed it didnt work. They scheduled a repair guy to come out the next day but it couldnt be fixed and now I had to pay to have my old dishwasher reinstalled and I have not heard back from Sears regard the pickup and the return of the bad dishwasher.
Whatever the mans name is that you sent out destroyed by freezing. And simple problem and now my whole freezer is freezing over what ice machine button is frozen over the door is not in properly. I called right away and made me wait almost 2 weeks to get it looked at again I called when I noticed things were freezing over and your department didnt seem to care about it. Actually one of your employees even laughed while I was on the phone. So you know Im not happy with your last service call. It documented that your employee wrecked my freezer. I also feel you should have sent someone out right away it when I told you what the problem .
Sears home repair service has gone down the toilet ever since they switched to a 3rd party years ago. 2-week wait for first available appointment. 3 days before scheduled appt., had to reschedule because tech got into an accident. Next available appt., 2 weeks out - they cannot/will not get a tech to us sooner. Customer service keeps telling me to call and ask if dispatch can get a tech to me sooner but always the same result, nothing. So 1 month without a working refrigerator, freezer is fine. Technician finally comes to check the refrigerator, does not have the part(s). He orders the part(s) and schedules the next appt. - in 2 weeks!! Finally got the repair done after 1.5 months, but the tech did not put the drawers back properly so now they are not sliding out smoothly, they get stuck. This is the second time theyve had to replace the same part. The first time, last fall, the tech was better because he actually drove and picked up the part for us so he could fix it the same day. He just left the broken part for us to dispose of. Will also never purchase Samsung again.
We have been dealing with Sears Repair and Customer Service since May 4, 2016 regarding our Kitchenaide Built-in Refrigerator. After over 4 attempts to repair it including over 10 visits between May 4th and July 14th, that include at least two calls with Sears cancelling, (one a robo call and the other one from the Technician who was to arrive between 8am and 12pm, who called us at 4:45pm to tell us he would not make it today but he had scheduled an appointment for us two weeks out.) the Sears Master Maintenance Protection Agreement department decided Sears could not repair it and they would need to replace it. Again, that was July 14, 2016. After returning from a short vacation, we went to Sears and chose a new refrigerator, as we were not given a choice as to where we could purchase one...only through Sears. That was on Tuesday, August 2nd. The old built-in was to be uninstalled and hauled away on Thursday, August 4th and the new refrigerator installed and left working. The built-in was uninstalled but when the team bringing the new refrigerator got there they only had two Technicians and no way to haul out or away our old built-in. They left. They sent a team back today, August 5, 2016. They were able, with 4 men, to get the old built-in out and in their truck to haul away. They brought in our brand new refrigerator, hooked it up and it would not work. They also scratched the brand new refrigerator in two places. They left it here, not working. Long story short...or still continuing...we have not had a working refrigerator since May 4, 2016 and today, August 5, 2016, we still do not have a working refrigerator. However, we did have a Sears Master Maintenance Protection Agreement! When we contacted Sears Customer Service today, to update them, the best they could do for us was to say, We are so sorry. Is there anything else we can do for you? We appreciate your business and thank you for using Sears. We cannot give Sears even one star! We had to click on one star before we could post this review!
The repair man was a hour late, suppose to be here from 8-12 and got here at 1:30 on a Saturday. Put in parts but didnt order the new parts, so ice shots onto the floor. I called to order parts and they said I have to wait 2 weeks til someone comes out to order the Ice shield that they lost with the new door. Very Frustrated, have had ice all summer:(
So it was a 5 experience ICE machine makes ice now BUT we both forgot to check if the depenser worked I have repair man coming on Thursday the person i talked to on the phone said this may not be covered not sure if that is fair but it is what it is. Thanks✌
One of the items needed to be replaced was the dishwasher rubber trim (gasket) and he started installing the wrong way luckily I was there to point that and he corrected it. I should not have to do that.
Tech came at the end of the scheduled time, just checked the gasket around the refrig door and looked at the back of the refrig and was gone within three minutes. What a waste.
I had to change the front gasket because of mold build up.The service was ok, except the price. About $140 for a 45 minute labour is very expensive. and about $100 for a piece of rubber was too much.
The repair man didnt have the part needed. The part he ordered came but it doesnt look like what he showed me he would need. Now I have to wait for another appointment. This happens every time I need a repair.
It took two months to get a repair person out to my house to fix my dishwasher. The repair tech too two visits so it was almost three months before the repair was complete. Not acceptable.
Arrived on time, pleasant personality.
The Technition was good and he knows how to fix it but I got the appointment to get the dryer fix after 12 days was horrible.
Cannot understand customer service from Philipians
The worst service I have ever experienced!I would never recommend a extended warranty to any friend or family member!
8 calls and 3 visits later, finally fixed. But what an ordeal.
I waited FIVE WEEKS to get someone out to check my new refrigerator, when he checked it, said the computer in the refrigerator fixed itself and left!!!
Was completed same day.
Issue finally fixed!
Alvin did a nice job.
Problem resolved quickly and parts ordered & receive.
My technician was awesome.
This placed is closed please change it
The technician came and quickly fixed the problem.
Never made any ice after repair
Excellent Job...
Was horrible after repair freezer went out have been with out refrigerator for 2 weeks before they can come back terrible service!
Very helpful
Nice!
Still broken
