Nails & Stuff never fails to do an amazing job. The staff is extremely friendly and the inside is very clean. They are very attentive to detail and take their time to perfect your request. After going there my first time I knew I had to return and make it my routine nail salon here in the city. I am always pleased and I 100% recommend!
I’ve been coming here to do my manicure and pedicure for the past year . Every time I come in I’m very welcomed by all the staff including the owner . They give exactly what you ask for. There’s enough colors to choose from and their gel color lasts for weeks. Very clean place and happy environment.
EXPENSIVE NAIL SALON AND WITH CHEAP OUTCOME! I went a week ago to this nail salon to get tips. They offered me acrylics for $45 and dip powder for $55. They convinced with getting the $55 saying that it will last longer than the acrylics since they only last two weeks. After a week of getting my nails done they started to chip off from the corners and lifting near the cuticle areas. It looks so bad, like 3 week old nails. I called them and told the the issue I was having and they said to come in and that they were going to take a look at it. I came in and all they did was apply the glue they use for the dip powder and applied nail polish and told me to come in in a week to get a fill in for $35. When I asked them why am I being charged $35 if they are just applying one layer of thin glue when they told me that the nails should last me 3 weeks. She quickly started to say she never said such thing and that she said it only last 2 weeks. I again asked her then why were my nails chipping so fast, she responded with the “it happens” and to come and spend money on something that clearly won’t last. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS SALON. They charge so much money for the worst products!
Been coming here for a while now since it’s close to where I work and have been loving every moment. They don’t do appointments and it’s first come first serve and they do get pretty busy past 5pm so plan accordingly. I guess that’s what happens when you’re right near penn station/time square area. They do a fabulous job but make sure you have some time to spare just because it can get very busy at the salon and you might need to wait. Everyone there is super nice and friendly, the salon has sooooo many color choices and the salon is clean. I always get my gel nails done there and never have been disappointed.
Great place - VERY clean, and staff is nice and accommodating. I suggest making an appointment if you want to come during lunch, they get quite busy. I could go to places closer to my office, but I chose to go to Nail & Stuff because I always get good service and the place is clean and relaxing.
I have been a customer of Nail & Stuff since 1999 and by far, have always had a great experience! The service and skilled technicians have kept myself and co-workers loyal to the business and I have given gift certificates to family and friends who also expressed the same.Thank you Nail & Stuff for that always feel good touch.Simone
For a small nail salon in the heart of Manhattan, this place is very nice. I have gotten a manicure and pedicure here once or twice, and often visit just for a back/shoulder massage! Good service with average prices (cheap for Manhattan prices).
This nail salon isnt bad. I had to wait a bit, but the service was pretty efficient. I was the last person in the salon getting a manicure and pedicure. It was convenient for me because its right by my job. While I wouldnt say this is my go-to salon, I like it enough to return.
I have been here several times for manicures. They do an excellent job and the salon is clean and well-maintained. Nick gives an amazing gel manicure. I will definitely continue to get services here.
This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon do not go there if you value your time your money and your nails. I have a flight in the morning and wanted to fix a broken nail - an emergency. They refused to repair my one gel nail, and told me that there was only one person who does gel, and she was busy. I offered to wait for her, but the front desk kept telling me that it’s a long wait and that they wouldn’t have the right gel, trying to dissuade me from waiting. All of the other manicurists were sitting around and staring blankly at me. Then a Caucasian woman walked in right after me and they gave her service right away.
This is my go to place. Its super convenient in location for me and also fair for the price in the area. My Reg Mani will last me almost 1.5 weeks always pedicure 2.5-3 weeks depending on the season. The service is always great and the ladies are very nice.
I use to be a loyal weekly client at Nail & Stuff for many years. Then I changed my career path and worked in New Jersey. Now I am back and working in midtown, Manhattan again. I went in search of my favorite nail salon Nail & Stuff and had a fabulous time! The manager, staff & services were just over the top! I personally had Choy for my spa pedicure and back massage. They both were amazing, can’t say enough! I am ready to visit again very soon!!” ~ Elsa
Nice place to get a mani and pedi after work. Ive been here a few times and cant really complain.
The worst place ever! So unhappy. The nail technician servicing me was rushing me the whole time. I just wanted a regular manicure, but each step of it was poorly done if that and in the end it looked awful. I had to have the technician remove the polish. The manager gave me a partial refund, but I did not by any means think that was fair compensation for the poor service. Never going back. It was a waste of time and money.
I have been a customer here for 20 years. Any where else I have visited no one compares. The professionalism, courtesy and service overall gets 5 stars easily. Any time a mistake has happened they always try to fix it and are very apologetic for it. I highly recommend nails & stuff, you wont be sorry.
I went in this place for the first time, I paid 65$ for pedicure, French nail with gel polish and feet massage, and I liked it, but a different lady that was supposed to do manicure didnt want do the complete job, I had old tips on my nails and I asked before if she would take this off to get my nails done and she said yes, but when was time to do it she started to complain and she was keeping persisting that she would just do my nails over the old tips .. whats ?? It was looking horrible!! Then I told her that Im not doing it, Im not paying a expensive nail for a incomplete job .
Ive been coming here for years, and the service is great! Super friendly staff and a clean place. The gel manicures really last!!!! Worth the visit!
Clean nice place overall, but a little pricey. I recommend not going past 6pm any day- they will rush you and do a subpar job! Used to be an excellent salon, mot sure what happened to the emphasis on quality.
I was getting a regular manipedi and was told to choose my colors from a specific shelf that had the regular (non-gel) nail polishes. Once I chose them and sat in the chair to start my pedicure, the lady told me that one of my colors actually cost $5 more, even though I had chosen it from the regular shelf. I said I didnt want it, so I just went with one color for my hands and feet. Later I realized that they were doing the same thing to the others: telling them to choose from the regulars shelf and then telling them that one of their chosen colors cost more. This isnt fair and its a trick! Plus, the lady who did my nails and the receptionist werent nice at all, and all the ladies spoke constantly in a language I did not understand. Never going back.
I went here twice in four days, the first time I got a manicure and when I asked to see a selection of regular polish I was shown the 10 day manicure selection for which I was charged an extra 5 dollars - a fact I was not made privy to until the first coat was already applied. This manicure chipped in the first 24 hours.I went back a couple days later with my sister as she wanted a pedicure and this place was close to our hotel. While I got the same technician as I had last time, she got the receptionist who left her sitting in the chair every few minutes to go back to the desk and answer the phone/greet customers. The nail polish on two of my toes has come completely off in the past week as it was applied too thickly - as in it came off in one piece!Avoid this place!
Never Going Back.!This place tries to trick you into getting charged more at every step of the way. You select your color from a shelf which they asked you to - and then once you are in your chair itll cost you $5 more because you were wrong. They tried doing it to me and I had them change my nail color bottle. The dryers barely work and nail color chips off in merely 24 hours. Do not be scammed.
To start off with the pros, the staff is very friendly. They were quick to have me seated. The store is very nice and welcoming. And the reason why I will never go back, I went there on a time limit for a gel manicure. And I expressed that the moment I got there. And the technician said no problem and shed be done within the 45 minutes I had during my lunch break. NOT WHAT HAPPENED. After 45 minutes she was just getting to the point where she was ready to apply the polish. And my nails do no require much handling, as I get them done religious every two weeks and I have strong nails. So after 45 minutes I told her I have to come back when I get off work. They were nice about that, and I appreciate that. I paid before I left, and returned when I got off work, and once again was seated quickly by friendly staff. And Im not sure what kind of gel they use, but I get gel because it last a long time and it really doesnt chip. After three days I found the polish randomly chipping off. And the color ( pink ) starting to change colors. If it was ONE nail then Id easily go back and have the one nail redone. But it was about 4 nails that were chipping. I hate to make this seem like a rant but a gel manicure chipping after 3 days is a deal breaker for me.
Overpriced, charged for requested nail shape they didnt fulfill my expectations. I got nicked several times. I should of walked out the moment my instructions werent met, she took her sweet time when I had somwwhsom I needed to be. I dont like my time or money wasted. I wasnt satisfied with the look or experience of getting my nails done. Thanks least I know where I dont want my money spent.
Always a great experience. Being coming here for years and the ladies here are great and friendly. They handle difficult clients well too.
Love this place I work in the neighborhood and always come by! They always accomadate me even without an appointment and I always walk out happy! They also have a such a great selection of colors
I love this nail place. The gel manicure is what I get all the time and I love. Affordable for the area. I highly recommend this salon.
The staff is not at all friendly, tha manager is the worst. I had to get a lip wax and they tried to sell me the sensitive wax which was pretty much the same as the regular one. I also got a pedicure and the manager was trying to charge me extra for the wax even though i picked the regular and not the sensitive one and then she said the girl gave you quick dry top coat so that is extra for pedicure. I told her I didnt ask for it. They dont stick to the prices that are listed, always try to over charge people. This was my third time here because the location is very convinient for me but every time I have had a bad experience with the staff and the manager. And even the service is not great, they try to finish off so quickly so they can move to the next person, even if I point out that my nails are uneven or anything at all, they start speaking in their language and complaining and being rough on my feet. One time they messed up my eyebrow also. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Wow.... the worst nails Ive ever paid for. I sat there for an hour and left with worse hands than I did before walking in. The only reason I didnt leave one star was because the nail tech smiled. Do not get your nails done here.
Dont be turned off by the coziness (smallness) of this establishment: It is the best nail salon I have experienced for these prices. Ive been coming here for the last 2+ years and have never been disappointed. The staff is professional and efficient. I simply walk in, pick out my color and RELLAAXXXX.... I have yet to stop anyone mid-process to do anything over (filing, a design, my eyebrows) or had any problems during my experience with the staff. They are friendly and they recently have the OPI gel manicure system which is awesome. My nails were in the same perfect condition for 2.5 weeks!!!Awesome place. Try it.
I went to the place to get acrylics finding out they dont have acrylics. They talked me into extension nails making it sound like that was the only fake nails they had. Come to find out they had fiberglass nails which is similar to acrylics and much cheaper than the extension nails. About 2 days after I got my nails done, the get nails polish which usually suppose to last between 2-3 weeks was chipping. Along with my polish chipping part of the nail broke. No great quality for the prices they charge.
It is a very clean and huge nail salon. They did my nails really nice. I loved their spa pedicure.
Love this place been going here for over a decade. These ladies know what they are doing, and the price is pretty reasonable for the area.
They jacked up my eyebrows, like seriously hacked it up. They had to try and fix it in the end plus the debit machine went down and had to walk to bank to give them cash instead. But the pedicures are heaven and the manicure are very neatly done.
This is my go to nail place twice a month, They do great shellac, and they also use a good soak-off liquid that is less damaging than acetone. Nick is a perfectionist and does the best Mani pedis!
Definitely agree with those who said they were scammed. The manicurist tried the $5-for-polish-you-pick scam and then charged for a foot massage service that I didnt ask for. Total charge for pedicure alone: $42. Beware!!!
Terrible! I stopped in yesterday for a full set and regular polish. I asked specifically for a full length look. After being poked and prodded by an amateur tech for what felt like forever she cut my nails very short the. Said tech Proceeded to tell me that a regular polish would cost $48 but a gel set would only cost $2 more. After looking at how uneven the Nails were I decided though pricey gel might hide the inconsistencies. I get up to pay with my debit card and was told to include my tip all together 54.00. I see the tech pull out regular OPI polishes and I ask about the gel in just paid for and then was told she misspoke and that gel would be an additional $20. I question her and her colleaugue and they both insist Ive misunderstood, so I give up because Im already over the entire experience at this point. Annoyed I leave. This morning I Check my account balance and notice Ive been charged twice for a single service.Do not waste your time here.
I have been going to this nail salon for 7 years, and this is the ONLY salon I will go to- no matter where I live in the city. The technicians go over and beyond for extremely reasonable prices. I always leave with hands that look like perfection, and a gel manicure that lasts three weeks- and I am one of those people who are crazy about washing hands. I have gone at all hours of the day, and never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. Below are the reasons that I will continue going to this salon as long as I live in this state-1. CLEANLINESS- super clean! When it comes to any places that administer beauty services, I am extremely picky about how I assess the cleanliness. This salon passes my benchmark- clean floors, nail stations, doesnt smell like anything besides nail polish [ive been to some salons that smell like wet rags- this place isnt like that]2. Nice Staff- The staff is kind and speak English. They will understand your requests and they are SKILLED. I never have to worry about unevenly cut or jagged nails + they give AWESOME hand massages during your manicure. The staff also isnt pushy about adding services that you dont want. The experience is relaxing- 100%.3. Color Selection- This salon literally has every color you can imagine- both gel and regular nail polish. Whether its glitter, some metallic color, a natural neutral, or some seasonal color- they have it!!I highly recommend this nail salon to everybody. I live all the way up on 90th St and I refuse to go anywhere else- even with a crazy New York schedule!!
This has been my go-to salon for almost a year...and they are pretty great! I dont see the same nail technician every time bc I always get a great manicure. My only critique is that sometimes the wait time is super long and inconvenient but I find that to mainly be on Fridays and Thursdays during lunch hours and after 5
The dryer here is not great and my nails began to chip instantly. The eyebrow waxing was not great. Inexpensive and quick.
Returned after 3 years out of NYC. Great to be back. Great silk wraps.
Love the attention massages and talk with ladys
I went there for a spa pedi and had a pleasant experience. The girl I had was great and everyone was friendly however here is why it got 4 stars instead of 5.1. A spa pedi generally comes with a 10min massage anywhere you go, but here I had to pay an extra $11 if I wanted it.2. The spa chair itself was broken so being a person with long legs I felt a little squished in the chair because I could not move it back or even use the features. However, with that being said I would go back again if I was in a pinch and needed a pedi.
Nice people but I didnt like how they tricked me into paying more that what I should have paid for a mani + pedi. They advertised 45$ for mani + pedi + quick dry + massage and then the lady told me that she needed to charge 10$ more for the dry and 10$ more to remove shellac ! The polish I had is already chipping after a few hours. I think you can definitely find cheaper places for a better quality around the area !
Terrible service! Terrible nail job! I will never come back. Dont waste your time nor money
The scenery was carming. Great job with the nails
Received the beat foot massage Ive ever had here!
My feet havent felt this great in a looong time!
Went here as I needed a mani/pedi before heading out of town, with all my luggage with me. They were nice, even when I had to insist (twice) that they clean the foot sink before my pedicure. I thought the place was okay, but the $26 price for a nyc mani/pedi was a little high, especially since this was the special price offered M-F. I used to live in nyc, and usually wait to do these since I come to nyc every month or so and usually get it somewhere in town for $20 w/o tip. I guess since this part of town has so few salons they charge more. But the lady was nice, and gave me a quick shoulder rub while my hands dried. It was busy there I need a Monday afternoon so I saw that as a good sign as well. But at this price, please offer me water/glass of bubbly/coffee/etc as other nail salons around town often do.
Worst pedicure ever! Friendly staff, but the young man who did my nails was terrible. I can still see my old polish. He barely took off my cuticles and he used so much polish it looked like my 12 year old neice did it. Was going to get a mani too, but not now.
The woman at the front desk is HORRIBLE!!!!! I came in and I asked how long the wait would be for a mani pedi and she (front desk lady) told me 5 minutes. So I sit and wait and 30 minutes go by. Just as I am about to walk out another girl comes in and says she is in a hurry and can they take her right away and the front desk lady says Yes, Yes, 5 minutes. And I told the other girl that I have been waiting here for 30 minutes and they told me 5 minutes. The other girl says thank you to me and walks out. The woman at the front desk told me that I was a horrible person for doing that and that I hadnt been there for 30 minutes. I dont know what constitutes 30 minutes to her but I had been there from 6:40-7:10pm. Thats 30 minutes!!!! She shouldnt lie to her customers about time frames in order to get there business. Thats not fair to the customer. Finally walked out and went somewhere else. I would never ever go back there. DONT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!
My gel manicure didnt last more than 4 days
WHEN I CAME IN SHE SAID ITLL COST ME $10 TO REMOVE MY POWDER GEL. WHEN CHARGING MY CARD SHE CHARGED ME $20 BECAUSE 10$ SHOULD BE TIP FOR HER EASY UNEARNED WORK
They do good work but they are seriously over priced.
Pedicure is accommodated for big girls like me and made my Horrible feet look great but I cant speak for other but I lived the service.
Poor customer service, extremely rude technicians.
I walked in to have powder nails removed and they told me to go do it at home.
Best Nail salon i have been to in NYC!!!
Very clean and nice staff
Super rude! Im new in town I called to ask for an appointment to make sure Id have enough time to get gel polish on my lunch break. No appointments and no grantee they could help. Piss poor customer service if you ask me.
They gossip you in front of your face. guess what? i an korean too. shame on you
They over charged me for a fill in, then they tried to gangster me out off a tip, when I tried to squeeze the water out of my mop, all of the nails flew off of one hand.
Great service.
Trust me. Please dont go here. They cant even do easy regular pedicure...And service is awful.
Beautiful job
Love it.
Date night lol
Very friendly and clean.
