There horrible at doing sns powder long nail tips. My nails started peeling and breaking the next day. I had to go back three times in one day.
Giving this one star to balance out the possible fake 5 star reviews. Went into the shop with a specific color in mind for just a color change. While given the only samples the store had I realized they didnt have the color I wanted. I was already in the chair by the time I realized this. During that time they took off a coat of nail polish that wouldve been clipped off if they actually cut down my nail. After my realization I just wanted to leave and probably pay $5 for any inconvenience, even though they did nothing. After rejecting their colors selection several times I decided to have them use clear polish. Which they again didnt cut down all nails, they were not filed down, and there were after color residue still left on the nail. Frustrated, I went to pay and they tried to charge me $12 for a color change that they couldnt even justify because they wouldnt look in my eyes and would only point to the sheet of paper with the total. Even though I didnt change the color, the amount would have been accepted if my nails were actually taken care of, not a simple wipe off of color that was barely there. They eventually asked for $10, I paid that, left and will never go back again. Beware of this place and go anywhere else.
Rare place that still gives a shoulder/neck massage briefly while youre drying. Best pedicure Ive found in this neighborhood (been here for 7 years)
By far the worst manicure. Very sloppy and poorly done. 👎🏼
My favorite nail salon, there service is fast and good
They were rude and the job done was horrible. The lady was rushing cause she had to leave early and messed up coloring my nails twice. She did such a poor job at taking my gel off that my nails are all broken already from how weak they got. Do not go there!
One of the few places that does acrylics in the FiDi, reasonably priced.
Super quick service
Cute, cozy little salon. I got one of the specials which included a fantastic foot/leg madsage.
Nice price. Great crew. Generally fast and good work for my friends and my basic manicure. Cocoa and company are amazing.
Nice salon. Nice staff. But beware of the up-selling. I came in for a gel manicure and was quoted $27, the lady doing my nails asked me if I would like a massage while I was soaking my nails. Who wouldnt say yes please!?. Lo and behold, that costs extra and no, she didnt tell me that.My bill ended up being $65! Ive been to a place in my neighborhood where I can get a gel manicure & a gel pedicure TOGETHER for $44.She was sweet, but I wont be back. If I ever do come back, Im saying no to anything extra. Dont even smile at me if i have to pay extra for that too. All I gotta say is They saw me coming. Newbies beware.
Nail salon is convenient but the stylist are always in a rush to customers out. My nail stylist did not want me to get white power nails because they are too much work for her. I asked for normal pink polish and instead gives me natural clear polish. She did not listen and then had the audacity to ask for a bigger tip. Not going back here and I recommend other salons in the area to locals and tourists.
This is a very busy nail salon. Its not bright and shiny but its relatively cheaper than other salons in the area. Their gel manicure is done well. However they do upsell but not super pushy. The staff is very friendly and nice. I do recommend it and will go back.
0 stars. Went in 30 mins ago to get my eyebrows done. Showed the lady a picture of a thick eyebrow that was slightly arched. I always show a picture so there is no confusion. Super straightforward. When she was done my eyebrows were completely different, thin as could be, no arch, the same width all the way around and half moon shaped. I am so upset.WORST OF ALL, they RIPPED one or two layers of skin off my eye lid. I will now have to get antibiotics in order to prevent bacteria from getting under my skin and deal with scabs under my eyebrows. All they did was apologize and waive the service fee. NEVER GO HERE!!!
This has always been my go to nail salon but after today I’m not sure that I will be returning. Not only was the person next to me ridiculed and laughed at for the tip she gave, but then I was tip shamed as well, with the manicurist telling me that I could leave a larger tip on my credit card. I’m sorry but that is completely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. A tip is completely discretionary depending on quality of service. What was supposed to be a relaxing visit turned into something that was stressful and embarrassing. To top it off their massage chair did not work and was unplugged, and their nail equipment is dirty and not properly cleaned between clients. With so many other nail salons in the area save your time and money and go elsewhere!
I went in for a pedicure because it was so close to where I live. The spa is nice and everyone there is very friendly. The only reason why Im giving a 3 star is because the spa doesnt follow sanitary protocol. The nail and cuticle cutters that were used on my feet/nails were not sanitized. They were just laying in a basket beside the pedicure sink. The file used on my feet and nails were also old. This made me very uncomfortable as using old files and clips is how infections are spread, not to mention that its against regulation.I didnt mind the upsell because they do tell you the price of all the service. My pedicure came to $59 plus tips. This is not bad but considering the unsanitary equipment and the fact that it was regular polish, I wouldnt go back again. If the old nail clipper and files doesnt but you, its a decent place.
Worst place ever. I got acrylic full set and it absolutely looks horrible. When I told her to fix them she got annoyed. Unevenly shaped and its super thick.Got my eyebrows done and had to tell her to fix it more than 5 times and on top of that I was bleeding and its gonna leave a scar. 1st and the last time for me. Highly unsatisfied.
Worst experience! First off, clutter and health violation central. While getting my aweful gel fill, another customer actually tripped over one of the piles. Furthermore, if you do venture in bring own nail tools. They do not believe in sanitation.Second issue, I am there to relax not up he sold every product under the sun. They could put a car salesman to shame!Lastly, the nails themselves. Four hours, three manicurist, 92 dollars later to destroy my once beautiful nails. They came out uneven and painted with skills of a toddler.BEWARE
I used to come here all the time, and for the most part, most of the ladies are nice and do a good job, however the results are inconsistent and so is the service. One day its great small talk and an extra few seconds on a standard foot rub during a pedicure session, the next time I have a lady hounding me for payment before my nails are dry and snatching her short tip out of my hand because after a poorly done job. New York is too big for the BS. Ill be looking for somewhere else to go asap.
Love Tracey! I always make sure she is available. She does the best work. She is a true perfectionist. She takes her time and she is very sweet. I always leave the nail salon looking fabulous!
Go to Coco, she’s the best. She’s the only person I let touch my nails. This place is one of the most affordable I’ve found - $30 for gel.
I go here regularly and today was super annoyed. You charge me $109 and I leave a $20 tip. Then the manicurist comes back and says she forgot to charge me $3 extra for I guess special nail polish. Lady thats petty. You made a mistake. Take it out of your $20 tip but dont come back asking for it. So on my list - find somewhere else to go or go to a neighbor salon in the weekends.
I came in pretty late in the day and got in fairly quickly. The girl that did my nails stayed a little late to finish my nails, which I tipped her accordingly for. Even though she was in a hurry to leave she really took her time on my nails and made sure they were symmetrical and smooth. She was really sweet and made me very comfortable during my service.
Hi,I was there for the first time and had a very bad exp.The lady who did my pedicure was not at all..She was unhygienic and did not had a feel of having a pedicure done. She cut the nails and did not even file them and did not put the polish correctly and for everything. even for drying and for scrubbing legs they ask you for extra money. She did not even massage properly and even after complaining them it was not considered.Really bad place to attend. Be very careful before you go there
I visited AA Nail Spa today and the service was great. Sofey did a fantastic job on my nails and the 10 minute massage just made my day. I will definitely go back.
Great nail salon with friendly, accommodating staff. Reasonable prices for area. Great work.
I called first to find out if they do acrylic fill ins and was asked for my phone number and what time I planned to come in. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and didnt have to wait which was great. The service was decent although the tech made my acrylic wrap a little thicker than I like - Ill just be sure to ask them to keep in on the thinner side next time. The price was decent considering that its in the financial district and the 2 minute neck massage she gave me while my nails cured was a sheer delight. I almost proposed to her while she massaged my hands as well, she hit points that i didnt even know needed soothing! I recommend this salon without reservation.
They do good work for the price. Dont kid yourself into thinking its a high end spa, its not. Its a small nail salon but they do it well.
This is a busy nail spa in the busy FiDi district. I have been here once only and the service is good and fast. My gel manicure came out beautiful. I wish it were a little cheaper but it is definitely reasonable.
Nice pedi and gel mani for $50. Clean with good polish selection.
My experience here was so poor, it has motivated me to write the first review of my life.I would highly discourage anyone who is expecting their nail tech to have common courtesy and do a halfway decent job on a gel manicure. To start, she ripped the existing gel off of my nails taking the top layer of my nails with her while her dirty jagged fingernails kept scrapping my skin. She was so aggressive in every move she made, it was as if she wanted me to know she despised her job. On top of that, I ended up with more gel on my skin than my actual nails.Just disgusted by her rudeness and the utter lack of respect. I was not alone in my experience, the customer next to me was equally dissatisfied with her experience with a different tech.Do not waste your time or money - I was better off with my 2 week old manicure when I came in than when I left.
Great job on nails, but it’s always very busy on weeknights. I waited 30 mins and was told 15, and felt very rushed during my manicure. The end result looked good, but it was rough and hurt at times. They need to say no to customers walking in because it makes others experience rushed and worse.
Not impressed with the attitude of the person who did my nails tonight. I would rather $15 more somewhere else for gel nails than ever having to deal with that. She needs to be disciplined. Or fired.
So, Ive been going to this place for a few months now. Reluctantly I might add because the first few times I was there, they were very pushy about trying to get me to take a Spa pedicure. So much so that it got VERY annoying. However, in trying to remain reasonable since its a small local business -and I can understand a place trying to maximize their profits- I eventually caved and even continued getting them every once in a while with my daughter. It should be noted though that the Spa pedicure ended up being no different from any other special pedicure youd get at any nail salon...its just an extra $30.00! I see others fighting them off constantly. But in the spirit of goodwill, one might say I became a regular and even continued bringing my daughter once in a while.Where it gets hazy is, a lady that worked on me two manicures ago came up to me while I was in ther middle of a pedicure and said that she undercharged me the last time she gave me a manicure (almost a month ago!). According to her, she forgot to charge $5.00 for a buff (which I always get) and her boss made her pay it to the house as retribution. When I told her truthfully that I didnt remember not being charged (I mean, seriously), she persisted, and persisted, and PERSISTED. She kept walking around me while I was getting serviced by the other worker, speaking intensely in her language (Korean I believe)...and it ended up making me feel me very uncomfortable. The kicker here is that when it was time to pay, she walked right to the register while I was being charged and pretty much demanded I give her the $5.00 I owed her! The worst part though, was that the surrounding staff members had no qualm with her reasoning, or her demand. They supported this tacky attempt at getting money I had no way of knowing was previously charged to me or not.So, like the Spa pedicure, I caved.I traded a measly $5.00 for every other dollar I (AND my daughter) will now NEVER spend there. This place is short-sightedly money hungry, and incredibly tacky. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
Service was ok but i felt rushed because girl was running to go and i had to correct a blemish here and there. If u are going to do it then do it right, dont lile feeling like cattle
Friendly staff, about $30 for a gel mani, and they did a great job. accommodated a group of 3 really quickly.
Good spot to get a quick mani pedi
Ive had Angela twice and shes incredibly rude. I used to love this place. Ill never be back. It takes time out of my day to come here, why come to a place with rude technicians?
Ive been here twice, the first time my gel nail polish lasted a week and half and i thought maybe it was my fault. The second time it didnt even last a full week. When i asked her to put an extra layer on she told me there will be an upcharge of 5$. When i gave the girl her tip she asked me if that was all that i am giving her. However they are pretty friendly but I dont think i will be going back.
I literally had the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon... Even a budget one like this! I used to live around this area 3 years ago and this was my regular spot. I have come back here at least once a year when I visit out of some crazy loyalty...but NEVER EVER AGAIN!! the woman I had was sooooo rude! She barely said a word and when she did, she would bark instructions that I could barely understand as she could not speak English (until it came to tip time). She did not ask what shape I wanted my nail just proceeded. THEN she proceeded to put cream on my hands and alllllllll over my diamond engagement ring and wedding ring!!! And then proceed to massage it into the fingers with the rings on... Without once looking at my hands!!!! Who does that?! I the freaked and ripped my rings off my hand! She then did not apologize and did not even offer to clean my rings!!!! Ugh! I also very clearly noticed that I did not get a enthusiastic welcome or goodbye whereas anyone Caucasian that came in there or left was given the most happiest of greetings and goodbyes.... For me... Stares and silence. In conclusion, do NOT go here, I will never ever be going again. I do not think I have ever been treated so rudely.
Good job on the predicure, but the woman who did my service was very pushy about me getting additional services. She also was very impolite about the tip. She asked several times was she getting one and when I did give her my $10 tip she didn’t even say as much of a thank you. I also paid $40 for my gel pedi. Won’t return customer service was horrible but great job on the pedi.
Great little find down in FiDi... Nina did an awesome job and the place was full of fun girls getting pampered -- not too expensive and well worth the short walk!
Rush service. Tried them three times. Each time my nails did not Last and a different problem occurred -With gel and SNS. Came back the final time to try Coco last Friday. My nail broke and my polish has started to come off by Monday. Which shouldn’t happen with Powder nails and UV gel paint.
Finished a pedicure session in flat 10mins... With a 10second foot scrub! Zero value for money.
I WAS TREATED HORRIBLY I DONT KNOW IF ITS BECAUSE IM BLACK BUT THEY WERE CONSTANTLY SNICKERING AND LAUGHING WHILE DOING MY NAILS MADE ME HIGHLY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! DID HORRIBLE JOB ON NAILS ASWELL. I WORK ACROSS THE STREET TOO:( FOUND NEW SHOP FEW BLOCK OVER
I really liked Coco the owner. Very friendly and professional!
Perfect place for a quick lunch break mani & pedi... Great service, good price and the ladies are super nice (coco).
Dirty! I’m shocked I’ve never seen such a dirty salon.
Great work but they surcharge you for credit card use
Horrible service. Poor quality products. They ask for tip upfront.
I wish there was a half a starCame here for a pedicure not happy with it. Never coming back on top of that they charge a $1 to use your debit. No bueno
Always good and fast service
My old gel was being removed so aggressively that my nail was broken and torn apart covering the towel with the blood
