Had a good experience at the salon, the lady tending to me was pleasant and did her job well, but their product was not great. I selected a color from their “luxury” shelf for my manicure and pedicure. The bottle was almost empty, so I assumed they would open a new bottle; but I loved the color. However, they kept the same bottle and went through the entire services needing shake, beat, and tap the bottle to get the very last bits left. I assumed their luxury product was better than my at home polish, and that it wouldn’t be the goopy remnants that never dry. But that’s exactly what I got for my $40 manicure. The nail polish continued to smear on my nails for hours later.
I have never had a manicure last as long as this dip set!! It still looks perfect 3 weeks later…the chip on my thumb just happened last night after a full day of moving furniture and DIYing! Besides the chip there is very little separation on the rest of the nail. It was a little expensive at $70 with tip but so worth it! Incredible work and one of the fastest manicures I’ve ever gotten. Absolutely will return!
I enjoyed the mani-pedi, it was relaxing. The only issue was that one of my nails chipped the same day, even though I paid $10 extra for a longer-lasting polish. I also got my eyebrows waxed, and they look amazing, as well as my upper lip. However, I noticed that the worker was not wearing gloves while waxing my face, which made me very uncomfortable since we are still in a pandemic. I would go here again because it is reasonably priced and convenient, but I was not 100% satisfied.
Update:I went to N square nail salon for a second time because I was very happy with the first manicure I had there. But this second time around.. disappointed is an understatement.I asked to have new tips applied and for a dark grey/black matte finish. So many things went wrong. First of all, one of my natural nails that had grown out had been badly chipped while the tech used a Dremel to shave down my nails causing it to have to be shortened. Next, so much glue was used on the added tips that now my skin is glued to the tips and while the tech was trying to peel my skin away she actually tore my skin and now I have a cut on my thumb that Im worried will be infected. A powder was used to color my nails rather than polish and it caused my nails to be extremely bulky and uneven and the color is completely different than what I requested. Not to mention absolutely no work was done on my cuticles. I am so unbelievably disappointed by the outcome of my nails and it completely changed my opinion of this salon. I wasnt offered any type of discount for having my natural nails chipped or my skin splitting because of the amount of glue used. I now have to find a way to detach my skin from the added tips and dont have time to go see another salon to have it fixed. I spent $100 on the worst manicure Ive ever had. Dont recommend at all anymore. Such a shame.By far the best manicure Ive ever had. They took me as a walk in and made sure I was completely satisfied with the shape and length of my nails. Very highly recommended and will be switching from my previous nail salon 🥰
I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure here and it was a great experience. I had Ling Li and Peishan Lu (I can’t remember their American names but I think it was Sammy and Diana?) They were very professionally. I’m a tall male and I did not feel judged and was not talked about in there while being serviced. They made me feel safe and taken care of when I usually feel a bit awkward, judged or out of place in other nail salons.
I am sad because I’ve been here more than once and this was my go to place. I got a gel manicure and was initially very pleased with how they turned out. Unfortunately the gel started peeling off after about 3 days and I also got an infection in my nail bed due to the technician over plucking my cuticles. They also don’t use freshly sterilized tools, she used tools that were already lying on the table and looked used. Disappointed as the service totaled to around $85 for simple gel French mani. Won’t be back :(
I came here today from reading previous reviews about the place and they’re not wrong at all!!This place is just amazing. The treatments, the manicure the pedicure the staff everything is just so perfect. The staff are so nice, kind and professional. They’d help you doing what’s best for you regardless, I went thinking I would do full nails extensions when I ended up having only one nail extension since the lady told me my nails are good.I did the dip manicure with Grace, she’s so wonderful and professional. This place deserves more than 5 stars, highly recommended.
Got my nails done today and was very happy, my nails were very short and Grace did a great job at adding nail extensions to my nails and shaping them into an almond shape. Im quite particular about the shape of my nails but she really spent the time to make sure it was perfect. When one of the extensions didnt pass her inspection after glueing it on, she (unprompted by me) took it off and took the time to re-do it which I really appreciate.
I’ve been here twice now and I think this will be my go to spot! Not only is it cute and clean it’s also quite affordable and they do such a great job. My nails consistent last 2-3 weeks each time and you really can’t beat that.
I had to rate 5 stars because my visit was spot on.I read the reviews before coming and this place and it definitely measures up. The nail tech took her time and gave quality service, diligent and professional. The only thing I will say is this nail salon is about they’re money. There were a lot of “up charge services” which isn’t always fun especially if you are on a budget.I decided to get a regular mani and pedi because the gel mani/pedi cost significantly more.gel removal was an up chargeThere was even an up charge for some of the regular nail polishes. So the color selection was slim picking. The Foot massage was amazing, wow. But there was an up charge for 10min.You could definitely leave there spending a good amount of money if you enjoy luxury services. So beware! All in all you will get a good service tho!
This place is pretty superb. They pay a lot of attention to detail & make sure each of your nails looks perfect. It’s a bit pricier than most places but you get what you pay for.I did the dazzle dry bc my nails can’t handle gel, it’s $10 more / $30 for a mani which is pricey... but it ACTUALLY dries in 5 minutes like gel does and I got my first tiny chip after 5 days - as someone that washes their hands obsessively & bangs their hands around, pretty impressive for a nail polish.
I got my nails done here on 4/17 by Sammie. She was super sweet. I got a Gel Mani & Gel Pedi with the added lavender scrub/bath. I was there for about 1 hr 45 mins. I hadn’t had a pedicure this entire quarantine and Sammie really put in work. My feet look amazing. I chose the gel color 113 in their book. Its pink but pearled. I’d love to go back for the service but it is a bit pricey. It’s worth the great ambiance and service you receive.
Took my girl here first time both of us been here really amazing people professional and very nice and comfortable and relaxed very good place
First of all, this place is gorgeous! It’s very clean, modern and minimalist. I was impressed that they’re going for very eco-friendly vibes (considering how toxic nail polish typically is) and their atmosphere definitely matches that. The service was great too. I had a nice pedicure that lasted for quite a few weeks and it was very relaxing. Definitely going back!
N Square Nails is amazing! They are so welcoming and friendly. The nail quality is top notch!
Good service friendly staffs and nice price
My first gel chipped day one and the whole set was ruined in less than 5 days. I’ve had normal manicures that last longer. The manicurist didn’t apply evenly and when I asked her to she was annoyed about it. Clean place though.
Ugh. pedicure chipped after one day. So expensive! What a waste.
Had such a great first experience at N squared with Sammy. Will definitely be coming back!
I got a dip manicure here before my boyfriend proposed and they made sure that my nails looked perfect! The manicure has lasted for a long time. It isn’t thick at all and I loved the color options. Will definitely be going back!
This is my go to nail salon - such a cute place with the sweetest staff! Grace never fails to make my nails look amazing. Highly recommend going here ☺️
Made an appointment for 7pm...at 7:53 they had not even gotten started on my appointment.
Nice place nice staff
Fantastic experience even for just a basic manicure. The salon is bright and clean and minimalist. They were all so sweet and helped me make sure my nails were super dry before I left! Definitely go here over some of the other places nearby.
Clean, quick, professional. I made same day appointment changed the time an they were so accommodating. I had the green tea pedicure. All natural products so it doesnt have the smell of regular nail salon. I will definitely be back.
Well designed saloon, cleaned with relaxed and professional service. A must-stop
Very quick and friendly service. Its my first time in NYC and I didnt have a manicure in over 3 years. If youre looking for a good nail salon, this is the place. The venue is aesthetically pleasing and looks very clean.
Friend and I booked manicures - they sat ya side by side so we could chat. Quick, did a great job- nothing fancy here so don’t expect a super chic space or experience but solid manicure. Would go back. Good value for service.
This is by far the best nail salon experience Ive had in NYC... and Ive been to A LOT. So nice, clean, and even the massage was so much better than your usual nail salon. Its not messy or cramped like others with massage chairs that are falling apart and chaos. In fact, its so calming and everything has the most thoughtful details. I swear rose petals melted in my foot soak accompanied by all natural ingredients. Impressed yet? TLDR, its amazing, go here instead.
Got my hard-gel nail removed in this salon. The staff are friendly and professional. I had a huge crystal on my nail and the person managed to remove it quickly. The place is clean. The price is also very reasonable. Highly recommend.
Great friendly service. They were supper gentle with my pedicure. Reasonable prices. Would definitely come back again.
This place is so nice! So clean and they do such a good job and listen to you. The space itself is beautiful and they don’t try to sell you anything — only help you save money haha. What a lovely spot!
It was good for my first time yesterday. Extremely pricy for toes
Love this toxin-free, high quality nail salon that serves up great service every time! The prices are commensurate with the great quality and service that you get every time!
They was great 👍🏻 I gotta go back
Great service and products! Everything they use is vegan and non-toxic, while the staff is ready to make sure that you’re happy with the service. It’s a new place, so visit it while it’s still undiscovered.
This place is amazing! They use non-toxic nail polishes and gels only. I went there on weekend, they offered free rose! Definitely will come back again.
The new salon is a gem. I took a group of clients to N Square on Friday night. The salon was clean, modern and they had a great nail polish brand selection. The service was top notch and my clients also enjoyed massages.
Best spa pedicure known to man
Beautiful spot with very detail oriented professionals. I treated myself to a vegan gel mani with a design and it was flawless for ovet a month.
Cute space! I went there with my friend and her kids, we did gel nail and her kids did a nontoxic nail service called Cute Me, very great service, love it
It’s my favorite nail salon! Girls are very good and nice!
I did not have the same experience as many of the reviewers. While I agree that the staff is clean, friendly, and professional, I believe the services are severely overpriced for what youre receiving.
The best nail salon in NY
Great ambiance, cute nails!
