Cristina Vargas was my recruiter, I want to say she is amazing. She responds right away with emails, she is open minded, and caring. If you have a preference for your placement, ask her and she will gather the placements you prefer. Let’s say in the end you got rejected and didn’t get in, she will continue searching for a similar placement until it’s a success. Cristina always checks in and asks how you feel once you get into your placement. Let’s say you didn’t feel comfortable, email her right away and she will continue looking for another placement. If you need a break, tell her and she will reply back in a month asking if you are ready for placements. Another word she would already gather your placements while you take a break. In the end it’s up to you to tell her if you want to expand your break or accept those placements she had gathered. Therefore, don’t be afraid to ask questions and if you have a preference don’t be afraid to state it. Christina is very reliable and I was never unsatisfied with the service she had provided me.

Deceiving, slow to respond, SCAM. Felt like this company was fishing. After agreeing upon a pay rate and getting submitted for a position, the recruiter goes on to tell me that the positions have been filled. I go to find that several other agencies have the same positions still open and even offering better rates. Asked the recruiter how this was so and was told that sorry he forgot to tell me it had opened up again and that he had resubmitted me but for a rate that was now $200 lower. The effort and time I put into trying to obtain job with what I thought was an honest and decent company was all a waste of time- which was my experience with this one.

I work for them months and I m waiting for weekly check more then 3 weeks all the time

Fran is great about telling you what type of work the company is looking for and how to appeal to a potential interviewer. I have never met a recruiter so intent on finding me a job. I was here about a year ago. I had a recruiter who never helped me. I constantly had to reach out to him and he never called me back for any jobs. There is no excuse for it since its been a long time and I have reached out to him several times. I think its best to go elsewhere where they actually help you.

Ive only worked with one recruiter, her name is Rose. She has the worst attitude. She doesnt respond to emails and when you finally get her on the phone her tone says it all. I tried to get another recruiter but that didnt work. Apparently shes one of the top recruiters there. If you are assigned to her please request someone else. She is unapproachable. She will not work with you to get you a decent salary or anything. If you start an assignment make sure you get all the details upfront and in writing, like the pay, hours, etc. Once you start she will not even check in on you to see how you are doing. I get it recruiters are busy but this place only cares about placing people and getting there commission. They dont care about you credentials, that doesnt mean anything. I cant speak for all the recruiters but I do know for sure Rose has a nasty attitude.

The absolute worst agency I have ever dealt with in NYC. Insanely unprofessional, to the point I wonder how they are still in business.You go in and you realize 80% of the place is empty and its just a handful of people left. The ones there were the opposite of helpful. No one has looked at your resume before hand. You fill out the forms, wait and then they have no idea what to do with you. So you get passed around waiting for someone who knows what they are doing. The four people I worked with were useless.Completely conflicting advice. No professionalism. One women kept referring to me as an adorable puppy. Then went on and on about signs and how Im such a Sag. Then went on and on about her kids then after about ten minutes had nothing. She told me to email her and I did and nothing,I went back a few months ago out of desperation and wow. The next/last nut job just yelled at me after someone handed me off to her. She looked at my resume and started to scream at me how I am overqualified for the job she has and there is no way Id be there long. She was accusing me of just taking it to run away later. It was insane. Even her coworkers seemed a little taken aback. Then I was told that how she always is?!?!?!?!?!?!??Avoid this place. Avoid it hard.

Theyre decent. Got a job through them within 2/3wks of working with them. Gave them a 4 star bc the person assigned to me, Rose, doesnt seem to care much. Once she got me the assignment, she really didnt respond much to my emails asking questions. Everyone else Ive spoken to from there are pretty helpful, but I dont interact much with them. Overall, i like them.

I have seen some really negative reviews, and while I cannot speak for anyone elses experience, it seems that all depends on the recruiter you get.I have had NOTHING but great experiences when I worked with Winston from 2015 to 2018. After I sent them my resume in April 2015, I immediately received a call, got tested, and was offered a position at Barnard College. After 6 months, that assignment ended, however, in 2 weeks, I was at another assignment. From November 2015 until March 2018 I worked at that company. I asked for and received raises, albeit small, every 6 months, and was grateful that my recruiter was open to getting me more money (salary went up by $5 per hour over that period of time). In March, I was finally hired permanently at the company, with a much higher rate, and I am still here today.I have to say, Winston really did well for me, and for everyone at my company who worked for them. Going with Winston was the best decision I made in my career so far.

Unprofessional biased company who picks and chooses whom they give assignments to as staff. They also practice retaliation against you if you dare question why others are given preferential treatment. Finally they do not offer competitive rates and will lowball you on your hourly rate. Worst company ever.

Called me and swore they had something for me. I told them I really didn’t want to use staffing agencies anymore because they bring you in, and then you never hear back. My recruiter promised it wouldn’t be a waste of time. And sure enough that’s exactly what it was. When I asked again in an email what the update was, they told me that now the position they had for me was filled. Would’ve been nice to know that ASAP.

If I could, I would give no stars. The staff are very unprofessional. I was given an appointment. However, upon going there, I had to wait about 4 hours before even seeing one of the recruiters. I dont know why it took so long since I had all my paper work. Whats the point of an appointment if you have to wait till like 3 hours later or more to be seen? After that I spoke with one of the recruiters who said shed try her best to get me a job. I havent heard back from her since, despite emailing her. If they have no courtesy to answer back, they are not worth it. Go at your own risk. I shouldve believed the other reviews before I decided to go to this place.

Horrible staffing agency. They make nothing but false promises. I never contacted them rather they reached out to me and told me they could easily have me placed in a hospital for a job opportunity. I went in filled out all the information and they continued to show me all the positions that I’d be a perfect candidate for. After not hearing from them for a week, I was then pushed on to another agent in the company who took over my file. Instead of getting me into a hospital which they promised they sent me out on interviews for non profit organization and simply other jobs. These jobs have a low rate of pay and since you are being paid through Winston your rate will be even lower. They just try to get you placed so they could get their cut. Rose and Hemala are horrible agents. They call and email you a million times but they just don’t know how to do the job they promised

Melissa Allen was extremely disrespectful and discourteous. She was rude and dismissive towards me. What a complete shame than any working professional would behave this way. If I could give them a zero I would.

Akber is the best recruiter. Ive worked with other agencies before and they always sent me on numerous jobs that never went perm. He fixed my resume and did everything to get me into the department of health. I went perm in seven months and now a city employee.

I went out on an interview for one and got completely lost when I called her at the office no answer so I emailed her and got a call, not from Cristina, but some very rude lady at the office. She was going off at how I should follow directions and it wasn’t hard to get to the office. Mind you I had taken a train and TWO busses it was really far. She gave me the nastiest attitude and was very unprofessional. I have no idea who she is, spoke to her ONCE but that was enough for me to not want their services anymore. Plus all the jobs they where trying to get me into where paying an awful amount an hr. Nothing close to what I wanted. Cristina was great but who ever she decided to pass my call to was horrible and just made it uncomfortable for me to want to work with them.

I worked with Cherryl she was very organize and very helpful a lot times! Everyone in the office is very friendly, and they definitely have very good medical clinics for temp positions. They safe me when I most needed.

Yes I called because I referred to them by a friend. I called and the lady told me to send resume. I sent my resume within 5 minutes. I didnt hear from her all day. I called the next day and she said to send it again, so I did and as of today have not heard back from anyone. Not a courtesy call or anything. I have 15 years and more experience in the work field, I feel my resume was very impressive but I guess they didnt think so. Its ok, I found a great agency where they are very courteous, caring and professional.

However, I now see that her actions and apparent incompetence is a direct result of a poor company and she is most likely a direct product of her environment.Karen contacted me first; I never made any submission to Winstons website nor had I applied to any jobs that they were involved with. The job in question was with Stony Brook University. I have handfuls of family from both sides that have attended SBU, so I liked that a job role relevant to me was revealing itself. It helped that I have a positive history with SBU as well.The problem was that Karen failed to give me much details. I felt a bit like I was pulling teeth just to get an answer. My main concern was not having a job description. When I finally received one, most of it was redacted. I already wasnt feeling good about the situation but decided to wait to hear more.I was called after the weekend by Karen telling me I had the job. No interview necessary. Ive never had this occur in the history of my job search, nor when I was on the hiring side of the table. So I called SBU using the phone numbers on their website. A recruiter there kindly explained some of the information to me.This prompted Karen to call me back and she was highly upset that I reached out to them. I apologized because I had never used a temp agency and therefore did not understand the process in full but she insisted that she told me ALL of that already. She didnt. Failure to communicate and there I was apologizing to be nice. I dont know how many times she needed me to say I was sorry but she continued to yammer on about it. I knew right then and there that I would not continue my business with her or Winston Staffing.I wish it ended there but it did not. I told her that I would Get back to her about it because I still had the paperwork on my laptop. I called around to recruiters in different companies that I was interested in working with and then finally sent Karen an email simply asking her to withdraw me from consideration for the role with SBU.Earlier, before my email, Karen told me shed be in the office until 5pm that day. She began to pelt my phone with calls every 20-40 minutes and well past 5pm (I have the call logs on my phone) and she never left a voicemail nor replied to my email. I guess she finally got it through her head that I lost interest because it was close to 6pm on Monday before the calls stopped and it is now almost 1pm on Wednesday and she is radio silent. Finally.Overall I would not recommend anyone signing up for Winston Staffing nor do I think anybody should take their call if they solicit you. It seems like from thumbing quickly through the reviews that there are a lot of other recruiters here like Karen, and I cannot believe that they were even capable of earning what is currently a 2.8 out of 5 rating.

Extremely unprofessional. I was criticized for 5 minutes straight that I didnt have a job already since graduation and that I should be working at McDonalds at this point. I was then told that I didnt have enough experience for the position I applied for and I was hung up on while I was still speaking. Ive never experienced this much rudeness during my job search. Jeff Kliegman has no right having a career as a recruiter if this is the way he treats candidates. IT professionals should stay far away from here.

Cheap rates!! Cheap rates!! My recruiter, M. Palkin would give me such lousy rates. As nurse with experience and education I was never so insulted in my professional career with those 30 dollar rates... and the sites....sheesh. She allowed one of her big clients to make such unprofessional remarks about me without even having a conversation about these things. She never reached out to me to discuss these scenarios. Poot.

Awful customer service. Im not sure where I applied to or how they got my contact information but the woman that called me was super rude. She asked if i was at my last position and I said no, so she proceeded to ask where I am now and who owns my current company. When I asked what the position was she responded with well why would you be trying to leave if you just hot there?. I said Im not and she hung up on me. I called back to complain and they apparently have no system at all to see who out of their staff placed that call. Rude and unorganized as a company.

This place is completely unprofessional, they send you jobs you accept them. They send you to the job(s) and then you never hear back from them again. Then every 6months the cycle begins all over again. By that time neither them nor you no longer knows who your hiring recruiter is, spoke to about 15 different ppl, submitting my information all over again. Begin the cycle again finally told them to just remove me from their list please. Also have spoken to ppl who have worked for them long term and still the same gripes not worth it.

Its a shame that one person from a company can leave such a bitter taste in the mouth of so many. Luckily I had Jim Westcott. He was great! Found my resume on Monster and called me. I had an interview and a job on the same day. I now go to Jim when I am looking for employees. Great experience, great guy.

The Rep, Jennifer Wasserman, is rude and highly unprofessional. She told me the company liked you. Do you want a second interview? I said yes. But the following day she played like she had so many other important things and thanked me for reminding her about following up with that company and how she would get back to me asap. I NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL ABOUT DATE & TIME OF SECOND INTERVIEW. Its unfortunate that these agencies are middle men to prospective employees. They seem to play games and waste our time. Just give us the direct contact of the Hiring Manager & we (prospective employees) will handle the rest. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!

Avoid working with recruiter Rose Harry. She is sadly mean spirited, unresponsive, rude and unprofessional.

Someone from this company just called my phone and was very rude. Not only did she hang up the phone on me but caught an attitude when I asked her to identify herself. I like to know who Im speaking to on the phone. Not sure how they got my information, but I would hope they never call back.

Was hired for a position at a hospital 2 hours from where I live. I was told it was $21 an hour. After completing and passing a background check, drug testing and physical I waited a month to hear from them. I got a start date and was excited, only to be told 2 days before starting that it was $6 less than the original amount I would be starting at. I didn’t know I was dealing with false information and Liars! Nothing but lies the entire time I have dealt with them. I wouldn’t recommend them in any way. Stay clear of rude and unprofessional “recruiters” and “Account Managers” because they seem to have many. It was a Crumby job and even worse pay. I Had to quit and start somewhere else, such a waste of time!! Tarsha Tew and Mark Sumi are some of the most unprofessional people I have dealt with up to date. Beware of misleading information and always get things in writing, even if it’s a email when being offered a position from a staffing agency. I gave them 1 star and that was too much in my opinion.

I have worked with the agency since 7 31 2015 and i have had a great experience working in different areas. I just wish that the pay was better!

Deyanira A. Pimentel is the rudest person i know. She criticized my attire after i told her my reason for wearing what i wore was because my apartment was flooded and i was just getting back on my feet or at least trying. She told me that i should wear makeup because she doesnt want me showing up at these jobs with my face looking as if i just rolled out of bed (verbatim). She also suggested that i change my nail color because it was too bold. The color was green a very sophisticated green but i guess she didnt think so. She told me that i should buy new clothes and show up with a blazer; mind you i had one but i took it off because it was over 85 degrees outside; reason why I didnt wear makeup.. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. She also told me that i shouldnt wear the jewelry that i wore because it makes too much noise. I had on 3 thin bangles that i got from my dad who is muslim so its a religion thing. My earrings according to her were too long, I should have worn studs and not small drop earrings. I express to her the hours and days that i could and couldnt work and she said that it was fine and i also told her since she made it mandatory that i change my appearance that she would have to give me a week to get things in order. I was not working at the time so my money was very low. She agreed to that as well all to call me later that night and offer me a position for 3 days at a hospital in Jamaica Queens and i live in the Bronx. She kept on going on and on about my clothes which in my opinion was interview attire so i didnt want to show up at the place she sent me to not presentable so i turned down the offer and she then said to me oh dont worry about the nails theyre fine just make sure you get a blouse i told her i dont have any money and that i am relying on a relative to help me and she kept pushing and pushing. We eventually ended the call and she never called me back to follow up or answered any of my calls or emails. When i did finally speak to her she told me that its not her job to reach out to me but that i should keep in contact with her and for me not to get an attitude because shes the one helping me.Ive tried countless times to notify someone of the experience i had but i havent been successful. I left numerous messages on the supervisor Charles Orandello phone and even he has yet to call me back. I would never ever recommend anyone to that agency.

Very unprofessional. The guy who picks up the phone in Manhattan branch is rude and nasty. Please people don’t give your personal information to this agency, the front desk guy knew my name and he said that he wasn’t going to let me go into the building with no reason. This PLACE IS VER UNPROFESSIONAL and treats clients like you aren’t nothing.

Bozo had my resume from 4 years ago they were probing told me i wasnt a fit for a job even though i have 10yrs experience for the job presented. Also one of the jobs was related to my old job. Looking at the reviews with these people and the individual i spoke with im glad i wont be wasting my time with these guys.

Invested hours of my time showing up for a meeting with a staffing agent to be told the available job I applied for job description changed, I am overqualified for any positions unless I lower my salary expectations which were already low based on my experience.Clearly a bait and switch. And doesn’t help a seeking candidate.

Terrible company! I had a recruiter by the name of Monique Allen who literally sent me too offices who were never hiring or four other people who just interviewed for the same employer on a temp assignment! Really was a waist of time and carfare being spent! Very heartless and cut throat individual! Whatever you do stay away from this agency! I was told I would be employed the day after Memorial Day! Big Lie and Vindictive young woman!
