I’m not into writing reviews but sometimes a business is so exceptional, whether bad or good, that it’s impossible not to comment. Barber Shop NYC is one of those places. I was looking for a place that did haircuts and beard trims and could be reserved online. BSNYC fit the bill and has a decent availability of weekend hours. I was assigned to a gentleman named Eli who seemed to have a pretty idea of what I was looking for.Well, let me tell you this- that day I received the Best Haircut of My Life! Full stop! Eli had performed a minor miracle- I looked about 10 years younger and about 10 pounds lighter just from this haircut and beard trim. Every single person I know commented on it to say how great it looked. Even people who, maybe, it wouldn’t be a great idea for them to make comments about my appearance couldn’t help themselves to say how great they thought it looked. It may have just been an illusion, but I would swear there were even 1 or 2 people who I didn’t know/never met who gave me positive feedback on my hair!I realize that not everyone will have the same exact experience. But do yourself a favor and book yourself an appointment with Eli- I think you’ll be really happy that you did!

Staff is friendly and nice . However if you want your head shaved and a buzz cut or just one number all around they are perfect for that . No sense of personable haircut styles, no time dedication just in and out no talent to the style nor texture of your hair . Zero talent with shape ups . No negativity here just telling you my experience . I’m sure they do well with specify texture and style of hair .

Theyve got a picture or theyre either using the hands to demonstrate what you want. You may have expected a decent outcome. My daughters haircut was so perfect, and it was done by one of her expert barbers. I highly recommend this position to you.

I went here a few weeks ago to get a haircut. Robert was amazing!! Im very wary of barber shops because even though hair is just hair, and mine grows back quickly, every time I request a specific style or cut, its always a little off from how I like it. However, at this place, I had the best experience. Robert was friendly, and the haircut was quick. Not only that, he took the time to talk to me about what I liked, and how I actually styled my hair. He then even helped with showing me how to fix the cowlicks that I have in two places. I recommend everyone going here for a haircut because it was the best experience that I have had in a long time, and I loved my haircut! I will be going back.

My hair is uneven when I ask for a simple basic fade, the suggested tips at 25% - 45% I when you go to pay by card?! I tipped 25% because its a service job. One and done, not going back. I wouldn’t have left this review if I didn’t get an email from the shop asking me to post one. Well I hope others have a good experience.

Im usually hesitant of going to new places but due to the lack of time going to my regular spot and the desperate need of getting a cut, I thought Id give this place a try since its only across the street from my office. Having just a photo of what my hair use to be and explaining how grown out it was, Richie was able to get me the exact cut I wanted. So happy I went and glad I found a barbershop that finally fits my schedule. The place was nice and clean with the charm youd expect from a barbershop, and staff was great. Im definitely going back as this has become my new regular spot.
