Absolutely great service! I’ve been coming to this barber shop ever since 2015 and not once had the let me down. My barber Arturo has always given me a sharp look and one that doesn’t change much while my hair grows. He’s a honest hard working man and one that won’t let you down. I don’t think I could ever change barbers or go anywhere else. The price is worth it and deserves what it pays and with their products they sell you’ll be looking good until your next haircut. I’m proud to say that this is one of the best barber shops anyone could ever go to and one you could rely on!
Best Barbershop around hands down. Friendly guys, always on point. Hot shaves smooth!!!
I tried this place out a few months ago, and typically get a shaved head with a manual razor blade. The normal, older barber I see is really good. Were talking about 4 star territory here. His razor skills are amazing. But I only knew that his skills were amazing until today, when I decided to use another barber (since my regular barber was on vacation).Imagine someone has a razor blade shaving your scalp, and is pressing the blade so fiercely and at such a bad angle that the blade cuts through your skin. It hurts. Now imagine this happens several times while you are trying to remain calm and composed in your seat. After reacting each time he cut me, the guy didnt even change his approach. He was also clumsy, and came close to shaving off my eyebrows.I must admit, I made a mistake by staying in the seat after the first laceration to my scalp. That said, I have been to other barbers where its just one nick, and they adjust their approach. In any event, I am paying for my reluctance to simply walk out of the place or to switch to another barber in the same establishment. At the end of this ordeal, I ended up paying my fare, having the cashier say sorry about that, and telling my barber you get no tip. The barber just stood there, listless, as if nothing had happened. You know its a bad shave when you have onlookers (the cashier) apologizing and the barber saying nada. That said, I am totally fine not to have engaged in any argument about how bad of a job this barber did, how the place shouldnt hire barbers like this, or how I shouldnt pay for my shave. Instead, I will vote with my wallet. Never going back here ever, even though I like my regular barber. I average a $5 tip and $20 haircut twice a week, so thats only about $2,600 / year this establishment will lose by allowing such an incompetent, untrained barber to be working there.Overall, I give a rating of (a) 4 for the good barber, (b) 0 for the crappy barber, and (c) 2 for the establishment for hiring crappy barbers. A total of 6 points, averaged over three criteria equals an overall score of 2.
Love this barbershop! I took my son for a haircut and he looked so handsome in his new cut! The barbers are so professional and friendly! Greatly recommend this awesome barbershop!!!!!! Thank you guys!
My go-to barbershop in the city. It took me over 2 years to find THE place and this is it. The hot towel and massage are an amazing add-on to an already inexpensive, top notch haircut!
I was visiting from out of town, and happened upon this barber shop. I am so glad I did; the staff are friendly and professional, and I was made to feel at home and got a great haircut. Ill be back if Im ever in midtown and needing a haircut!
Great bunch of guys. Short wait times.
Great barber shop! Always clean, affordable cuts, and friendly barbers.
Dasha is great. Perfect haircut with a hot towel shave at a great price. Less than $42.
Wish Id read the reviews. Older barber had to fix my hair when a younger barber who of mumbled not only left my hair a mess, but whenever I tried to explain, he made it worse, doing the exact opposite of what I was voicing my concern over. He just kept saying, this is what you wanted instead of just listening and fixing it.The older barber finally jumped in and did what Id been asking, but my hair us far from what I wanted because the younger barber couldnt communicate well and wanted to work off assumptions instead of what I was explicitly asking for.
Their prices have gone up recently due to rent, but Ive been visiting here for over five years and always get a quality haircut in a clean and welcoming environment.
Never going to get another haircut at another place. Very old school. Proper old school.
Friendly, in a NY sort of way. Quick, affordable. Have gone 6-7 times now and havent really been disappointed.
Great shop; great barbers; great haircut. Quick and friendly. Highly recommended.
Randy is the best barber in nyc. The Cuban.
Worst haircut I have ever paid for - the barber was a younger kid who doesnt know what a hard part is - simple barber lingo. Furthermore, he didnt know how to execute a simple number 1 guard high & tight - more simple barber lingo and job. I told him not to touch the top, and he buzzed right through the part and took off the top and part off... WHAT A ROOKIE (Hes not even in the game, he shouldnt even be in the sport!). I called the Manager and he wants to make it right... but, cannot fix what has been cut off. Plus, the kid never apologized for f**king up the job, which makes me the most mad about the whole thing.Stay away, unless you are like me and need a barber cut immediately and cannot walk to somewhere else. Thanks for making my hair the worse it could be during Fashion Week.
WORST BARBERS EVER!!!! STAY AWAY. I ASKED FOR A BEARD LINEUP AND THEY SHAPED UP MY NECK AND SIDEBURNS WITHOUT ASKING ME AND I REFUSED TO PAY FOR A SERVICE I DID NOT WANT, AND HE THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE!!! THIS GUY IS A LUNATIC AND ALWAYS SMELLS LIKE ALCOHOL.
Not good. They dont know how to cut.
