Went to Denny Moe’s today for the first time to get a shape up. The atmosphere was extremely professional. I made my appointment online and Denny Moe, was punctual, professional and polite. The shape up/line was exactly what I asked for; I left his shop looking fly, feminine and sophisticated. I will be back and will highly recommend to my friends to patronize his establishment. Took my son to Levels Barbershop. They exactly what my son asked for ...a fade on the sides. The barber didnt advise my son his hair needed grooming and trim. That is exactly what Denny Moes did without me saying anything. This is the shop my son will be going to for now on. He cut all those dead and uneven hair off...and shaped his hair. My son went there for a haircut last week and and he will not be returning. It is the most expensive ($30) and the worst cut he has ever received. They didn’t even wash and blow it out. His line was like a fork in the road. He says he’ll be wearing a hat and hoodie until the cut grows out. NEVER AGAIN🤬‼️If I could give a -10 that would be a more accurate rating.

This was my worst haircut experience by far. Do not get a haircut with Sherlock. I have to wear a baseball cap for the next two or three weeks until my head recovers. I asked for a fade with a picture to show him and I ended up almost bald. I started with lots of hair after finishing a model show and now I have none. I hate the way I look and on top he charged me 40 after messing me up. I hate this place. I’m gettingroasted by everyone. I can’t understand how someone get a picture I showed so wrong. I can’t believe I had to even pay for this cut, I wouldn’t take it for free!

Ive been getting my hair cut a Dennys ever since I moved to Harlem. I tried several shops in the area before I settled here. Its clean, child and family friendly without the testosterone that barbershops are known for. After trying several barbers in the shop, I settled with Carol over a decade ago. Shes the best barber Ive ever had in my 72 years!

Second time coming to this place and trust me never again.First time I got a cut, showed the gentleman a picture on their yelp and asked for the same thing. I think he focused more on talking then the actual cut. Turned out nothing like the haircut I wanted.Second time, I walk in and I am completely ignored. I say hi, no response. The 4 barbers were all busy cutting hair so I decided to excuse them and just sit down. Luckily, sat down next to a women who alerted me that she had been waiting for over an hour for a haircut she had an appointment for. When I asked if she was greeted, she stated she was ignored as well. It felt bittersweet to know I wasn’t alone, but also dissatisfying that every customer who walks in is treated this way.Do yourselves a favor and dont come to this place, worst experience ever.

Walked in, wasnt waiting for too long. I asked for a skin fade. The cut was clean, precise and efficient. He used a twist brush for the top, I didnt ask for it but it looked good! I walked in greeted everyone. There were 5 barbers there. No one greeted me. I asked for a shape up no one responded to me. After 4 minutes someone looked in the back and said someone would be with me in a minute. Definitely I would not get my hair cut with that negative vibe...

I visit the salon to see my natural hair stylist, who grooms my locs. This is a neighborhood staple with a host of master barbers and an experienced hair braider on site. It has a modern decor and the inner atmosphere is in alignment with that of the classic AA salons where sports, the dozens, opinions and observant talk abound. In all, you will more than likely walk away satisfied with your braids, cut or groom...no doubt.

Very hit or miss. The lady two chairs down on the right gives a good haircut. I’ve been here two other times (including today) and got butchered. Uneven haircut, terrible angles. Will not come again.

I stopped in to get a haircut and was surprised to see that this barbershop was very clean and inviting. The only issue that I had was that the basic haircuts are overpriced and the barber that cut my hair was mediocre at best. Denny Moes on Fredrick Douglass in Harlem is great. Theyre all friendly and they have TVs around the shop and a lot of barbers so you dont have to wait long. Jay cut my hair. He was cool and gave me a sharp lineup, a smooth fade and cut the top nicely with scissors. If I visit New York again, Im going to Denny Moes for a 20 dollar fresh cut.

Cut was ok not the best, had to basically shave the next day. One side of my beard was wider than the other side had to reshape myself, and was not the shape I told him. Barber was getting distracted easily busy talking with other instead of cutting properly.

Went there one time and they didnt have my online appointment even booked, went a second time and got cut by Jay. Seemed alright at first but ended up being upset because I told him he didnt listen about cutting my goatee and basically kicked me out of his chair. Didnt do alcohol or anything. Denny was cool though when I explained it to him.

Im sorry i have to put a review but i made an appointment at 1:30 but i came a little earlier and he had someone in his chair so I waited and 1:30 passed and he ends up doing someone else’s hair. Secondly, the barber i was all the way in the back from all the other barbers and during the cut he kept stopping to do other stuff i showed him a picture of the style just so he can have an idea. During all his pauses and distractions, my hair ended up looking a hot mess i was embarrassed but i had to act like i liked it because I didn’t want to make him feel bad even tho i felt worse and most of all he charged me 40 dollars which was crazy. But i gave him the money and went on with my life.

First I’d like to say if i could I’d give this review negative stars but anyway.....I’ve literally waited 2 weeks for a 8oz container of scotch porter beard conditioner. Wednesday the 17th i made the order for pickup i went in they said they didn’t have any. Some guy gave me the owners phone number and the owner tells me next Thursday is when they get all shipments.That’s fine about the same time shipping would take. Even though it said it was available that day. ( If i had known that I’d have just ordered off the scotch porter website). Thursday the 25th ( mind you this is pickup date the owner told me it would be here by, the site never said it was sold out after they removed money from my account for it ) comes i call they tell me the woman who monitors the items isn’t here and at some point Friday she will be. I call Friday she picks up she ask someone else if the order is in ( i thought she monitors all orders and items 🤔 ) naturally it isn’t and tells me oh it should be here Saturday or Monday. My whole thing is i haven’t received a tracking number. Just an order number which is totally useless at this point and nobody knows when my order is coming in it’s now the 29th. ITS BEARD CONDITIONER from an American made company not a foreign substance from Russia that needs to be Checked first. Customers work just like you do we don’t have time to constantly check to make sure they have an item they paid for that’s the shops job.Take my number down and contact me when it’s there, or how about check the tracking number on the items you purchased for your shipment. I’m tired of constantly calling well after the supposed delivery date. If you don’t have the item call the customer and tell them it’s not in stock instead of wasting time and gas money to check. Most places of business tell you it’s out of stock before placing an order online. That’s like ordering food an 1 hr goes by you call to make sure everything is okay and they tell you they didn’t have the ingredients so they’ll deliver it next week. You’ve had the money 2 weeks and i still don’t have my product. I’ll say this though i will never purchase anything from the establishment again, they can’t even get online orders done correctly I’m definitely not trusting them with a cut. Don’t bother buying anything 3rd party items just order them directly from whoever make the product smh.Update it’s monday and the idiot Chris i spoke to says he has no idea what I’m talking about and offered up 2 wrong phone numbers that didn’t work and apparently doesn’t have his bosses phone number or the girl that works behind the counter....I’ve filled a claim with my bank and received my funds back **** Chris, Denny Moe’s and everybody that works in the shop. Pricey hair cuts!!! Rent must be very sky high here or they trying to put a down payment on a Maybach 2018. Quality of the cuts ✂ seem average to me and I travel around a lot though queens, bronx, brooklyn and manhattan and dont have one barber that i am loyal too. But i have a list of barbershops whos cuts are above average for reasonable price mostly in queens and brooklyn.But Its a Nice and a well laid out looking place and very spacious and clean not your average cramped barbershop. All the barbers are wearing the moes uniform its a good look and looks very professional and high end. But If you dont have all that Moolah$$ for a hair cut go down to the brothers down the block they are pretty good.

This barbershop is a media haven. If youre into being surrounded by photographers, videographers and spectators while getting your haircut, then this is the place for you. If you appreciate a warm, welcoming atmosphere with professional barbers who show courtesy and respect for their clients than steer clear of Denny Moes. The barbers are very rude and inconsistent, and because of the constant media attention, you can bet your barber will be distracted on the quality of your cut a majority of the time. Denny Moe is the more courteous of the staff, however, barbers like Aric show little to no courtesy whatsoever. You get the feeling that youre wasting their time when youre there and it makes you reluctant in expressing the ideal style for you. Overall my experience with denny moes has been horrible. Stay AWAY!

I have been acquainted with Denny Moes Superstar barbershop for over 4 years. Undeniably, they have highly skilled barbers, beauticians, hair dreaders, and an excellent nail tech. But this shops owner, Dennis Mitchell, along with the support of the barbers and stylists, is a community outreach individual. He gives annual health seminars with the best HHC companies. The public is welcomed to the many screenings anywhere from hypertension, colon awareness, diabetes, spiritual enlightment and the list goes on. Also annually they hold an annual BBQ in which at least one young adult is given a nice monetary denomination to aid in their continuing education. This function is held at the infamous FDR state park, upper NY. One of the biggest and growing events is the Cutting for a Cure. The barbers partake in a non stop, hair cutting for 48 hours straight, giving haircuts, where the proceeds are contributed to finding a cure for cancer. While this event is going on you have several other events for your entertainment, such as spoken word poetry with participators from Smokey, to Autumn Ashante, The Truth, Isrealite and countless more legends.Located in central Harlem, which is nice diverse and safe community, I would definately recommend any culture to go there and be welcomed, and also walk away a very satisfied customer, with the excellent skills, and expertise of each barber and stylist.
