Flew EVA from TPE to JFK on Royal Laurel class (equivalent to business class) and I am very pleased with the service. Ive flown to Asia multiple times with EVA on economy and thought it pleasant, but Im certainly very impressed with the business class.Upon departure you have access to their dedicated lounge which is top class. Great shower facilities, plenty of seating, and good selection of food.Entering the flight, a dedicated stewardess introduced herself and addressed me by my name and made the trip very enjoyable by constantly checking in on me for my needs. There were two main meals, one heavier and one lighter. They had a good selection of quality food and alcohols. I enjoyed several glasses of the Krug 2004 Champagne. The reclining chair converted into a bed which was very comfortable to sleep on with the provided soft pajamas, nice pillow, and thick blanket.Upon landing my bags were the first to come out on the carousel. Great experience and would fly again!
They never pick up the phone and then automatically hang up on you after you have been placed on hold.
Useless. When you try to use your points for a business class upgrade they put you on a wait list even though they have availability. Very useful when you have a 26 hour flight. Will not use this rewards program any more.
They targeted me for extra security supposedly randomly upon check in at the counter . I only had one backpack no carry on. My backpack was scanned twice which means I had to wait in line again twice for a SMALL BACKPACK that has a sandwich, ginger candy, home keys, cell phone, and battery charger inside. They then proceeded to interrogate people with extra security check at a special curtain AFTER being scanned twice by a machine. They asked me to remove my sandwich that they checked for bomb residue or what not. They did the same for my hoodie and my shoe. They also tested my belt and my small backpack with the sandwich and ginger candy inside my bag.Such stupidity is a waste of time. If your ticket has SSSS and CHK written on it upon check in, be prepare to be harassed and humiliated by EVA security employees who speak limited or no English in Taipei and treat you as if your just a piece of cattle to be processed.I will never fly EVA again ever because the way you treated people like me who obviously is just a traveler in a humiliating fashion.
Very friendly staff. It’s located in the 31st floor. A front desk and a big call center. They are bilingual and speak more than one language.
They say they open at 8:30 AM and I’ve been calling since they opened until noon....
Racism in Taiwanese style hurt me badly, at Laguardia airport .
