Poor communication & fraudulent behaviors. Don’t let reviews fool you.

Was quoted almost $800 for one wisdom tooth to be removed (the one that has been bothering me and the main reason I went in) and nearly $2000 for all three!!! And this was a supposedly discounted rate and was including the small bit my insurance does cover (which isnt much). I was told that the high quote was due to complications with a nerve beneath the lower tooth and the uppers overlapping with my sinus cavity. When I told him about much lower quotes I had received from dentists, the surgeon condescendingly scoffed Im not a dentist. Fair enough, but he didnt have to be so demeaning about it.I went to another OS (yes, another surgeon... NOT a dentist) and they removed the single tooth for $275 with no complications or issues... easy in, easy out. Decided not to get the other two out just yet because of finances, but similarly, I was quoted around $200 for each of those teeth when I decide to get that done.To me, C&M seems like a money-hungry scheme masquerading under the guise of a surgeon who will do a better job than a lowly dentist.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Appointments easy to set and fast, no long wait in the office, professional and knowledgeable office staff. Dr. Millaud was amazing, I had virtually no pain, no swelling, no bruising after my wisdom teeth removal and sinus closures. His after care instructions were easy to follow, and every step was explained to me. He personally called me after the weekend to check on me. My follow up visit was so simple and FAST! Literally everything from start to finish was a well oiled machine, and I’ve already begun recommending his practice to friends and family. Thank you for making a scary surgery such a great experience!

I was sent here for a surgical extraction. Everyone was extremely nice, respectful, and professional. I was overly impressed by the honesty from the Dr. Due to a medication I was given in the past, a regular dentist could not pull my broken tooth. The Dr took the time to explain to me the dangers of having the extraction done at this time. He could have just extracted it without explanation and hope for the best. Even though I was unable to have the tooth removed, I am happy with how my situation was honestly handled!

If you ever need Dental work and or surgical work in the New Orleans or surrounding area Dr Millaud is definitely the way to go!! Very professional and he treats his patients like family! Very clean facility, staff is very professional and friendly. Wait was very short, and Dr goes above and beyond with his service. He calls to check up on you after surgery and makes sure you have the meds, and things you need afterwards. Very excellent service I will say! Very pleased!

I was really worried about the fact that I had to get all my wisdom teeth removed at once. Whenever I went here for the operation I was in a friendly environment with the staff there. Before I knew it I was waking up to a completed surgery. And in only a week I feel like it never happened. I havent even felt this comfortable at my regular dentist before I will definitely be recommending this group to whoever needs help

I was overly terrified about getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once. The surgery went by very quickly and smoothly. Dr. Millard even worked with me on my copay. He is definitely the go to guy. I felt absolutely no pain once I made it home. He is highly recommended by me!

C & M Surgical Group was an overall amazing experience. I was referred to Dr. Millaud for getting my wisdom teeth surgical removed. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and very helpful. When I first meet Dr. Millaud he was very humorous and nice, however he definitely knows his stuff. He talked about how the best option was to take them all out at one time and he would be able to fit me in whenever was convenient for me. My surgery was held on 02/19/2020, before my surgery began the staff was very helpful in informing me of what to expect after and what I need to eat after and how the medicine should be taken. I did cry a bit but the surgery was very successful. The pain was definitely intense but the medicine did help. After the fourth day the pain was very manageable. When I went back for my follow up appointment everything was healing well and most of stitches had began to fall out prior. I’m glad that I was referred here. Definitely one of the best dental experience I’ve had by far. From my experience I highly recommend Dr. Millaud and I suggested getting them all the wisdom teeth removed at once.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed so quite naturally I was nervous. The staff made sure they explained everything in detail and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Millaud personally called the next day to see how I was doing and his nurse Pam called also later that evening. I wasnt in hardly any pain, just swelling, which is to be expected.

I was so scared of the fact that i had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Im so glad i chose this place! The doctor and his staff made me feel at ease through the whole process. He did an amazing job on the removal. I didnt have no pain or bad swelling after 3 days! I refer them to anyone :)

The whole staff is very professional. I got more than teeth extractions. He was so knowledgeable about teeth and it relates to other parts of the body. I would definitely refer anyone I know. This was the first time i ever had surgery and Dr. Millaud did a wonderful job. I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled and another tooth that was not supposed to be there. I was so scared going in there but their hospitality and the way they explain what is going to happen during the procedure while making u laugh made me be able to get through it.

Our son recently had his impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Millaud. From the first phone call until the follow up visit after the procedure, everything went like clockwork. Dr. Millauds staff is top notch. They were polite and courteous, making us feel immediately at home. They helped us navigate the medical/dental insurance confusion, presenting us with a clear invoice of what our cost responsibility would be. Before the procedure we were given both written information and a video to help us understand the procedure, risks, etc. We also were given a clear and concise list of post-surgical dos and donts. Nothing was left to chance, and if we had any questions (which we didnt) we had reminders from Dr. Millaud and at least three individual staff members that they would be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns. Dr. Millaud himself is very personable. He is not only a talented oral surgeon, but has an excellent bedside manner, making both us and our son feel comfortable with what to expect from the procedure. He even personally called to check on my son the day after surgery! I cannot stress enough what a smooth experience this was. We recommend Dr. Millaud with no reservations whatsoever! I would recommend C & M Surgical Group to everyone. Dr. David Millaud and his staff were excellent. They were very pleasant, courteous which puts a patient at ease before getting their procedure done. After my procedure, my pain was minimal and my post op checkup visits were a breeze.

I met Dr. Mullard after I had oral surgery with another dentist (Dr. Ambrose Martin). After surgery I was given inappropriate post-op care directions & a low dose of antibiotics. Unsurprisingly I got an infection which lasted for THREE weeks. Dr. Martin did nothing to help except give me more pills. Dr. Mullard gave me a run down on how a procedure such as mine would normally go, what to do afterwards, & basically did what the 1st dentist didn’t. He performed a debridement, a procedure Martin NEVER mentioned. Mullard is competent and knows his stuff. He fixed the errors by Martin and made me feel much better about going to the dentist.

Painless tooth extraction. Very professional. Best dentist I have ever been to. I was traumatized by a painful dentist and avoided them for years. This dentist knows exactly what he is doing. I felt no pain at all during the oral surgery. They also worked with me on the price because I could not afford the full payment right now and needed emergency procedures. Pain was 9/10. Thanks so much Dr. David Millaud -Clint (I know who I am going to see again and would recommend them to friends and family.) My Pain is a 1/10 now and after my Free follow up exam everything is healing great. He has a great team and I felt very safe with them.

I visited C & M Surgical Group on Wednesday the 24th day of April, 2019. The waiting area was clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly; knowledgeable, and the wait time was good. Doctor Millaud is very knowledgeable; but also insist that his patients is educated in their own health care.

Today I made an appointment because I was having a lot of pain by my wisdom teeth, arrived at 11:15 for my appointment at 11:30, did not leave until 1:15. I was told I had an infection and needed to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Contacted another doctor for a second opinion and was told I need an antibiotic. Why wasnt I given an antibiotic at C & M, NO IDEA! I will never go back here!

Dr.Millaud and his staff was and is very professional and welcoming. I had 4 wisdom teeth that were causing problems and needed to be pulled. Dr.Millaud and his team provided me with adequate information about my operation. They answered any and all questions and concerns I had and made sure I knew any potential risks. After my operation I immediately felt better and in 1 week was nearly completely healed and still fell great.I highly recommend C&M Surgical Group to anyone 👍😁 .They are a prime example other surgical groups should follow

I had my 4 Wisdom Teeth removed on yesterday and Im feeling great today. There was very minimal swelling and Dr. Millaud and his staff are good at what they do the best experience I have had. Dr. Millaud is a really personable doctor and made sure that I felt comfortable with who he was before he performed and surgery on me. I recommend him to anyone. Surgery and rehab was nearly painless. Great job!

I went to see Dr Mullard because i have a serious Max Sinus issue. Making the first appointment was very easy with Don. during my consultation, Dr Mullard looked at the X-RAY assessing my case and discussing possible complection when under the surgery, than he looked into my mouth, dont be surprised if the doctor look at the X-RAY more than your mouth (he is just that good). Special consideration was given to me by the doctor and two days later I had my surgery on Thursday.I have not experienced any major pain after the surgery, I was able to go to work at my office next day. Don called me on Friday and Dr Mullard called me personally on Monday.All in all, an excellent doctor, kind, considerat, very nice staff and a very entertaining waiting area.If you are a smoker, you better accept the advice and dont smoke after the surgery.

Not very helpful with initial contact or with initial visit. I was told they took my insurance but once I arrived they then informed me most of my procedure was not covered and I was not prepared to pay so my time was wasted. Then upon rescheduling they knew that I had been repeatedly delayed and was in urgent need of operation and last minute cancelled and wanted to reschedule. Again wasting my time. Poor communication and information.

The staff was very professional and understanding. Dr. Millaud was very professional and understanding of my combative way. The procedure was done without any problems or feeling of any pain. Would recommend this doctor if you are hesitant about seeing a dentist. I received a telehone call the evening of my surgery and the day after to make sure everything was going well. Never felt so important beibg checked upon. Never had that experience before.

The best experience I’ve had yet with any surgery I’ve gone through. Second to none hospitatly, and excellent work done to boot. Dr Millaud Called me himself the day after just to check in and see how I was doing. I would recommend him to anyone I know. Very grateful to have found out about him. My son was experiencing excruciating tooth and jaw pain and were referred to Dr. Millaud. He explained the procedure an answered all questions prior to performing oral surgery and put my son at ease. In addition, he called the next day after the surgery to check on his progress. Follow-up visits were conducted to make certain that my son was healing as expected. Glad for this referral!

This place misplaced my partial and swore to God they gave it back to me,or I picked it up after I woke up from anesthesia! The Dr is very mean and rude.All I wanted was for them to do is replace my partial or give me the money so I can replace it. There where 4 other people in the room with me and nobody knows where my teeth went! My partial was a month old.Ridiculous.

Frequent visits to C & M has always resulted in me leaving feeling like a special patient whom all of the staff, including the Ofc Mgr cares about. They are absolutely the kindest, most professional & caring team. I have & will continue to recommend C & M for any dental procedures that they perform, as well as, other services. Dr Millaud has years of experience & is very knowledgeable....& can be pretty funny oftentimes 😂 Seriously, he makes ya feel ok about what’s going on even though it’s not always the most pleasant situation, hence me wearing wires to heal my fractured jaw for a total of 8 wks. I’m in my 2nd week & it’s been challenging, however I always think positively. It could be much worse, as Dr Millaud reminded me sharing stories of the procedures he’s performed over the years. I’m still able to fulfill one of my most important & fulfilling roles- a mom to my teenage son. So what I’ve lost 10 pds so far, I’m sure I’ll gain em back eventually as & still be within a healthy weight post removal of the wires.

This is an excellent place to have a procedure completed. I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Millaud. First of all, I was nervous and procrastinated my surgery several times. After finally talking to Dr. Millaud at my one on one consultation, he explained step by step to me about my procedure. He also allowed me to view a video to further explain what was going to take place and what was expected after surgery. Dr. Millaud and his staff made me comfortable and after surgery, I couldnt believe it was over because I didnt feel a thing not even days after surgery. So Yes, if youre looking for an A1 surgeon look no further. Hands down Dr. Millaud is the Person to see and I will definitely be back if needed without second guessing.

This place is lucky to get one star from me and thats only because thats the lowest one I can click give. Overall this office seems to be nothing but a scam and the prices are ridiculous!! They tried to charge me $4000 for extractions, so I went to another dentist and was only charged $450 and received better customer service. Not only are the prices ridiculous, but they dont respond to messages or pick up the phone. If by chance youre lucky enough for them to pick up the phone so that you can ask them some question they are more than likely to rudely rush you off by saying, Ill have them call you back. Im still waiting on my call back and its been a month now. Do not go here unless you have time, money, and your mental health to waste.

My overall experience with Dr. David Millaud, and his office staff was great. My reason for visiting his office came from a referral to remove wisdom teeth. The consultation with Dr. Millaud was pleasant he was very knowledgeable explaining my procedure, and all the detail about my recovery time. My procedure went well, he also followed up with a personal phone to check on my recovery. I would recommend his service to all my family and friends.

When I came to Dr. Millaud, I was fearful of dental professionals because of all of the negative experiences I had in the past. This experience was very different and very pleasant. I had to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Of course I was very nervous being that my teeth were in my sinus and on the nerve. Dr. Millaud and staff were very nice and kept my mind at ease by talking and making jokes. I opted to be put to sleep because I didn’t wanna see or hear what was going on. Surgery was only an hour and I had little to no pain. Just left my follow up appointment and everything is great. I was recommended here by my dentistry for teeth extractions. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE and I told my dentistry not to recommend this place due to their lack of customer service. I mean, I work in customer service. I know people have good and bad days but this place is dreadful. The receptionists, especially the Hispanic one, is very short with you. Sitting in the waiting room, I watched her be impatient and short with every single person in there. Ive called on several occasions with different questions and every single time, I felt as if the other person on the phone was aggravated. Do not spend your money here. Ive even had a receptionist laugh on the phone when I called to get a copy of my xrays. I planned on taking my business to their competitor but they said they lost my file. THEY LOST MY FILE!!!! Either they are lying or now my information is no longer confidential.

Some of which were in very delicate situations. Dr. Millaud and his staff sat down with us and were very informative, knowledgeable, thorough,friendly, courteous, and most of all, very professional, in explaining the cost we would incur out of pocket, and what our insurance would cover, the surgical procedures step by step, from extraction, recovery time, and follow-up visits.Thanks so much Dr.David Millaud for the flawless and painfree surgery you performed. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Millaud and his staff! I had an appointment a week and a half ago for extractions and a biopsy. Going into the procedure, I had high anxiety, but Dr. Millaud and his staff could not have been more warm and accommodating! Before the procedure, I was well informed on what exactly needed to take place, and also given detailed post-op instructions. Following the procedure, I followed the post op instructions and had slight discomfort, but NO PAIN!! I believe I only needed to take the stronger pain medicine for 2 days, but after that, ibuprofen was enough. Dr. Millaud called personally to check on me the day after the procedure which I really appreciated.As far as cost, ALL dental procedures are pricey, but his office gives an amazing discount to patients paying with cash. There is also a lending company to accommodate patients who may need to take out a small loan, which is really helpful.I would highly recommend him to all of my peers!

Horrible customer service. Hispanic lady at the desk was rude. The entire situation seemed sketchy... the Dr didnt want to use the x-rays from my dentist and expected me to pay additional just for him. No thanks. Go somewhere else!

I was nervous to get all 4 of my wisedom teeth pulled but the surgeon told me not to worry because I wasnt going to feel a thing and I didnt believe him. I went to sleep and woke up and forgot what was going on. I didnt feel a thing and when the anastesia wore off, I had some good pain meds and everything went smoothly. The one thing that made my journey smooth was the ice pack I kept on my face. Would recommed him to anybody that asks about an oral surgeon.

My dentist (Dr. Melanie Saloy, DDS) referred me to Dr. Millaud to have 1 Wisdom Tooth and a decayed tooth extracted. At first I was nervous about sedation, but the Dr. Millaud assured me with humor and professionalism that I would be fine. I have Guardian Dental and one of staff members discreetly informed me of what portion of the bill after insurance coverage was my responsibility. The cost was affordable and I was able to get the work done 2 days later. On the day of the extraction the staff was warm and understanding of my anxiety. I dont even remember going under sedation for the extraction or feeling any pain. It felt like I had the work done in 15 minutes. THAT is how wonderful my experience was in the end. Its now a week post extraction and Im healing well. Would definitely recommend Dr. Millaud and come back to have my remaining 2 wisdom teeth taken away.

When I heard the word surgery I instantly became nervous, but Dr. David Millaud reassured me that I would be fine. I had been dealing with the pain of a wisdom tooth for months that was impacted in the bone and once under the care of Dr. Millaud I feel like new money. I was treated very kindly and the staff showed that they cared by talking to me before the procedure and being right there once the sedative wore off. Dr. D called and checked on me the next day to make sure that I was ok and I assured him I was and I was actually able to stop taking the strong pain meds after three days. I had to have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted and Dr. Millaud was referred to me by my dentist. When I got to the office I was extremely nervous as I have never experienced any type of surgical procedure. Dr. Millaud took his time to to explain every aspect of the procedure as well as what was expected prior to and after. He was very pleasant and offered me the opportunity to ask as many questions as I needed to get a better understanding of what was to come. After this initial appointment I was comforted and confident in his abilities to perform my extraction. When the day of surgery arrived the entire staff was very pleasant and supportive. My mom was there and they kept her informed throughout the procedure as I was sedated during the procedure so I dont recall what happened until they woke me from my beautiful sleep lol. I had minimal swelling and the pain was tolerable. That was to be expected after having 4 teeth removed. Dr. Millaud called me the very next day after surgery to see how I was doing and the staff called the following week to check on me. I did have some pain but when I told the staff about it they scheduled me that same day and took great care of my needs. I am now pin free. The healing process is going well and Im just glad I get to eat cake for my birthday lol. Thank you Dr. Millaud and staff for the amazing work you do.

My 14 year old son had 4 extractions done on June 16th and it was a success. The cost was reasonable and he did not complain about any pain. The staff was great with assisting me with all paperwork and answering all of my questions and concerns. When my son got his X-rays taken…..Dr. Millaud sat me down and explained to me what was going on in my sons gums and what he knew to do to correct it. Dr. Millaud was very thorough with explaining the process of my sons procedure. He told me what he was going to do and what to expect afterwards. He gave me a list of dos and donts before and after the procedure was complete. The procedure took about an 1hr. C & M Surgical Staff took great care of my son. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for an oral surgeon to consider Dr. Millaud and his staff. You will not be disappointed.

Dr.Millaud was asking me medical questions about my experiences at daughters of charity and university that I had to do to be able to get to this point where I could have the oral surgery (I have a heart murmur). And I would answer him with the information that I was given by that doctor at that location. Then he would get visibly frustrated and sigh and get a little aggressive in demeanor and say loudly ...maam! Its not a .....its a ...... and use a different term or different name for medication. I dont know the terminology. I am not in the medical field so I would simply say, oh, I dont know, the doctor just told me it was a pre-beat or if we were talking about meds, I would give that info that the doctor gave me. I was perfectly calm and just answering with what information I had been given by my doctors and yet he was getting so frustrated..then strangely he said, Maam I am thinking we should call this off, after all the work it took to get to this point with these complications and now you are questioning me... I was completely puzzled. I had not questioned any of what he was saying. I was answering his questions with what I had been told and he was telling me something different, which I did not have a problem with, as I recognize there is a lot of different terminology in the medical field. So at this point I was completely puzzled. And I asked...questioning you? I didnt question what you were saying, I was just responding with what I had been told. Then he gets even more hostile and says maam, you have been coming at me And I said..coming AT you? at this point I left. I was in a perfectly fine mood this morning, I was even still in a good mood at his office but he just seemed to be getting so frustrated with what these other doctors (that I sensed he viewed as much less knowledgeable than himself) had been telling me. The whole thing was very strange. And if it had been anyone else I dont think it would have been an issue. I think the communication could have still been pleasant. There was no need for the hostility. Perhaps by questioning him he is refering to when I first arrived and asked, since my tooth is sitting on a nerve...if the nerve gets affected and affects my tongue, could that cause any problems with speech?. I think that is a reasonable concern that I have the right to know but Dr.Millaud was once again frustrated that my lack of medical knowledge as a patient was not on par with his as a surgeon. In all honesty, I believe that this was all to avoid having to do a more complicated surgery that he may not have felt secure about. In addition, I second what the other reveiwer said about the staff, they were very unprofessional and unfriendly, I agree.

Dr. Millaud and his staff made me feel comfortable, as I feared having to go under anesthesia to extract my wisdom tooth. Everything turned out well.
