I am moving to NOLA and found what I thought was a nice place. I was interested, so I filled out an application so when I found the right place I could sign up and move in.Well, the place was not as it appeared in the pictures. Rooms were small and somewhat dingy. Pictures were misleading at best. Parking is far away and expensive. Nothing I read online about the apartments available to rent was accurate. The application process states there are application fees and a deposit. Application fees are nonrefundable. Im okay with that. Deposit was $400. When the apartment did not match what I expected, I decided not to rent. Thats when I found out it is NOT clearly stated on the application that the deposit is not really a deposit. It is a fee that is NOT refundable. When I called, they noted they held the place for me and took it off the market. That is true, but I applied on a Friday and canceled on Sunday.Either way, I am unhappy with their lack of clarity on what a deposit is and what a fee is.DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WANT TO RENT. What a waste of money.

I love living in this building. Everything about this place is fantastic except for the security that happens to work here and somehow get the idea of being rude to the residents. I’ve live here for 2 years and it happened to me and my roommate more than once. The way securities talked to us is shameful! I do not understand if the management of the security company ever teach them manner of how to communicate with people; especially people who pay monthly rent to the property, which means part of what we paid is the salary for those people whose embarrassing us in front of other people. Other than that this building is excellent!!!

I lived here for about a year and a half and moved out only because of a work location change. I thoroughly enjoyed living here, from move in to move out. Staff was very helpful when I moved in and I had no knowledge of the city. And the rooftop view is incredible; arguably the best view in the city. Hidden benefit here as well is that they have a very large freight elevator, which makes move in and move out significantly easier than a lot of places. The security staff was wonderful. After a short amount of time, they knew my name, called the elevator for me and I almost never had to use my key to get to my floor. Even when I had guests, they would remember them and treat them like a tenant. Overall, great place. Highly recommend it.

Dennis Murphy is referring to the Merchant Lofts; the property that you also own located 4 blocks away on 201 Magazine St. Wrong building, but accurate review; that place was not worth the, money, noise or rude management. However, the Four Winds is nice.

Hands down one of the best apartment buildings Ive lived in. As others have mentioned, the rooftop view/patio is probably the best in the city, and arguably the largest. The management team has been great to work with in the event of any issues, and the maintenance crew are also pretty cool, quick and very responsive. The front desks guards are welcoming and provides exceptional service (shout outs to Chester and Tash). I can recommend this place to anyone looking for a long term place to stay in New Orleans.

Both the building and staff are really nice. They have probably the nicest building and finishes in the city. The rooftop is huge and there are 2 grills. The apartments have showers with full slabs of marble on the walls, and I havent seen that anywhere else. The lobby is really cool too with giant chandeliers. Lots of decent people live here.

Absolutely gorgeous building. Very well-done lobby and rooftop. Great pool, views and location, away from the noise in the french quarter, yet walking distance from it. Loved the time spent here!

The location is great for local stores, restaurants and nightlife. Located blocks from the French Quarter. It has the best rooftop view in the city. The professionalism and care from maintenance dept., to the people in office and security team, is Amazing. If Luxury and Location are important to you, then the Four Winds is a MUST!

Four Winds is one of the nicest apartment buildings downtown. The lobby is full of grand chandeliers, beautiful bronze, and restored marble. The walls and elevators look to be the original ones from the buildings early days. The apartments are nicely equipped with stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and ample storage spaces. The rooftop pool area is also a great area to entertain, with exquisite views of the city. Also a great place to have a gathering or throw a party.

Best rooftop in NOLA. Movie room perfect for Saints games and playoffs. Great staff. Last year when the storm cut off our water, they brought bottled water, delivered to our doors and cases downstairs if we needed more. Cant beat that.

Fancy, luxury apartment building in a safe area downtown! So many great things to say about this place: quiet and clean building, cardio and weight equipment in the gym, rooftop pool, high quality appliances. The security guard at the front desk 24/7, so it feels safe walking in at all hours. One of my favorite features are the large windows in the apartment, which allow a lot of natural light to come through to open up the space. Highly recommend!

A great place to live for those in the CBD. The amenities (rooftop pool! gym! movie screening room!) are unmatched, and its near restaurants / bars galore. Views are good, and any maintenance needs were taken care of quickly. Happy I made the choice to move here!

I recently moved into the Four Winds, a couple of months ago, and honestly have nothing negative to say. The myriad of amenities and facilities make it a tough place to compete against. Furthermore, the staff maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, always willing to work with their tenants and address their individual needs. I’m more than content living at the Four Winds and would highly recommend it.

Could not ask for more -- Tall ceilings, wood floors, granite and stainless kitchen, and a rooftop pool with views of the city and the Mississippi River. Awesome staff and 24-hour security. We looked around a lot before making a decision, and In our opinion, Four Winds is by far the best apartment building in the New Orleans CBD.

I have been living at the Four Winds for 4 months. After researching and visiting about 10 other similar apartment buildings in the area, I believed the Four Winds offered the best combination of price and quality. I have been extremely satisfied with my experience thus far. The rooftop and views are unbeatable, and the Four Winds offers may amenities that other complexes in the area do not, e.g., a movie theatre and sauna. To top it off, the staff and 24-hour security guards are extremely helpful and accommodating. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Four Winds for anyone looking to enjoy living in the CBD.

Maintenance of the building declined considerably while living here. The garage door broke months ago and was never fixed and subsequently my bicycle was stolen. Management was completely unsympathetic, unprofessional, and downright rude - and I am a very good tenant. It should also be noted that if youre on a lower floor your unit will never be dark as there are 3 streetlights directly in front of the building. Also, the side of the building faces the Sheraton Hotel which has very loud garbage trucks and deliveries coming in at all hours of the morning and night. I would not recommend this building to anyone who has a budget to afford it. There are better options in the CBD, plus many others have pools which this building does not.
