Just went to 4J quick lube for a state inspection, buy what stood out was their friendly and efficient customer service. I was in and out within 15 minutes.

Tried to charge me $400+ to change my spark plugs and air filter on my Kia. Almost laughed but felt too disrespected. I don’t advise going here for work if your not “from around here”

It is also a clean place and freshly painted. Great staff, I had 3 people ask if I had been taken care of already.

They are rude when they cant keep their word on when the vehicle is supposed to be ready (Eric). They overcharge for labor. Poor customer service all around. I took my vehicle in at noon for a 2.5 hour job and they said they had to keep it overnight because the tech couldnt put it back together. Looks like all they can do efficiently is state inspections. Dont take your car here, seriously. Never using them again.

Pulled up for an inspection, needed brake light switch replace nbd.Ended up waiting for 3 hours for a switch replace (45 min) and radiator flush (30 min, they weren’t busy at all.The guy working on my vehicle had to reorder the switch which is no problem it happens, but didn’t perform my radiator change while waiting until I said something.Seems like they worked on everyone’s car but mine.Still waiting here now if the price isn’t what they said it would be I’m reporting them to consumer bureau this is ridiculous.

I took my for ranger in for break issues later in the afternoon and Caleb helped me right away. He found the issue and physically showed me what he was looking at. The quote that he gave was very reasonable. When I wasn’t able to leave the vehicle overnight to pick up the next day (they were very busy and it was close to closing). They worked with me and fixed the major issue that day and then told me to come back the next day when I was ready so they could finish. The work was done right and Caleb was very professional. I will definitely go back if I need any mechanical work done.

Since moving back to New Bruanfels in the late spring I had to go through the motions of finding an affordable and reliable automotive shop. If youre looking for an honest business to work with, this is the place! Took my son for his driving test and discovered one of the brake lights were out. 4J inspected it and it discovered it was just a loose bulb, tightened it and sent us on our way. There are many shops that would have changed the bulb and charged me! Thanks guys!

They stuck to their promise to keep the price within the estimated range even when the car took an additional day of labor. I greatly appreciated their time and the major discont on labor. Honest and dependable. My truck was spitting a transmission code. Instant diagnosis was slipping gears, clunky gearshift, none of which are good signs. After their mechanics opened up the transmission pan the estimate dropped significantly! A small sensor replacement saved me thousands. I feel that reducing the estimate is really one of the most honest moves a mechanic can make. My truck was ready after one day. This was my 3rd time back. And will definitely not be my last.

I needed to get my inspection done quickly, before I had to drive an hour to work. Went to 2 different places for my state inspection. 1st place completely ignores me and the 2nd place said the wait would be 45 minutes after already waiting 5 for someone to acknowledge me. When I showed up to 4J Quick Lube, they looked so busy all the bays had cars in them but I thought I would ask anyway. They inspected my vehicle right away! No wait! Amazing customer service! The guy I spoke with was very polite.

We have been using 4J for about 3 years. They are always quick and professional, they did a transmission flush in our Hummer and also corrected a seized up oil drain plug. If you need a vehicle inspection this is also the place to go!

Weve been returning here with all of our family vehicles ever since we found this gem a little over a year ago. Any time I come in for an oil change, the service is fantastic, the work is done quickly, and its always at a good price. They usually greet you at your car and take care of you right away. As far as pricing goes, I never see the mysterious charges or get trumped up add on recommendations like Ive received at other places. It’s a Monday afternoon, just got off work and picked my little up from daycare my truck temp inside was reading 108 degrees blowing out hot air. I pulled in and saw the business closed just 10 minutes prior. As I’m getting ready to pull out the tech came out and asked how he could help, i explained the problem he checked with the boss and without hesitation they told me to pull in and they got my truck blowing cold air in no time. Recently got our oil changed here and the service was excellent! Noticed a small oil leak a few days later and brought our truck back and the staff here took care of it without issue. If i could rate below a 1 star i would...DONT DO BUSINESS HERE. New staff here is horrible! Not a place friendly to women! Now one of those shops that lie and find everything they can wrong with your car to charge you for! If you have had this problem i would contact BBB as I found out so many have already!Actually they are going to help, because your inspector gave an incorrect reading and i have proof. This is factory tint and came from the dealership! BMW really found this unacceptable! No one was asking you to break any laws just to do what you charged me for. You charged me when you should not have, you did not complete the job due to your incorrect reading! In speaking with some other customers we know that have gone here this seems to happen quite often. Your explanation is less than acceptable but thanks for the suggestion we are already reporting this along with whats in the system. #captured! And its Mrs. Johnson!!!!

Very nice place. I was able to get both our cars inspected in less than 20 minutes each. One car needed the third brake light replaced and the store owner did it himself for an extremely responsible cost. We did not need an oil change at the time, but I will certainly go back. Great location for those of us on the east side of New Braunfels.

4J did numerous excellent repairs on our beloved old Buick, keeping it in good working order until it was hit and totaled. Then they saved us thousands of dollars by inspecting two different cars we were thinking of buying. Also, we referred someone to 4J and I learned today they were very pleased with 4Js work! Great local family owned car care buisness! This is the only place I want my wife going to. They do not pressure people into buying things they dont need (which is rare if you have ever been to other oil change places). Service is always fast, professional, and friendly. This is our go too place for maintenance!

If I could put negative stars I would. Please whatever you do, do not go to this shop. I went in for a simple oil change, and the next day my car breaks down. I took it back to them and the mechanic starts talking to me like I dont know anything because Im a woman. Then it takes a week and $300 for a water pump and a pull that werent even bad according to the guys at autozone. Then he tried telling me he had to check the valves for some reason and wanted to take apart my engine. When I told him no and tried to leave, he blocked my car and wrote down my license plate number. Very shady people working here. Ill never go back or recommend them to anyone! And the positive reviews they have with generic names...they areGUARANTEED workers from there. They take up for each other real quick if you ask ro speak to manager. Everything is the customers fault and they make no apologies and no notifications if another repair needs to be done. They fix it and charge your a$$.

The most courteous mechanics Ive ever met. I will only go here from now on. And, the office was clean, and smelled pretty.

I was driving through new braunfels when my car randomly stalled out and then my emergency lights switched on. I was basically panicking on trade center dr, when I noticed their shop on the end of the street. When I pulled in they immediately came up to my car. In a matter of minutes they were checking my car to find the problem. I had pulled in pretty late in the day, so the car was kept there overnight so that they could run more tests in the morning. Surprisingly enough it turned out that my 2-3 year old battery was fried. They had me back on the road shortly after with a new battery. My car is now running fine without any issues. The staff there was amazing and took good care of me and my car. Im really glad that I broke down right next to their place, and they were able to help me through the situation!

Let me just say that I had the same experience with a guy at this location as another customer at this business. The guy claims my vehicle wasnt legal for the road and was trying to tell me I needed to add stuff that wasnt on the car. If the car wasnt built with it, I think there would be major up roars over this across the state etc??? The guy was very intimidating and I wouldnt recommend any other females to go here. The guy was very pushy and made me feel very uncomfortable. Reminds me of those creepy movies where the guy stalks people. He was writing my plate information or something as I was leaving. I may end up filing a police report because I dont know what that guy was really doing with my information because I wouldnt get service he wanted me to get.
