Sam is my stylist and always listens carefully and has great suggestions when I want to try something new. She is meticulous and a true artist. Gastons Salon and Spa offers the best ambiance of any hair salon Ive been to in New Braunfels or San Antonio. In fact, I changed from my SA salon due to how frazzled I felt getting services. Gastons is very clean. The salon was the only place I continued to go to during the pandemic once they were allowed to re-open. The manicures and pedicures are relaxing and a nice treat. I have had massages with Lisa which I recommend too!

Cindy was very friendly and professional. She was on time for our appointment. I had come by Gastons previously and given her my long-time Vegas hair stylists notes on what she used for coloring/highlighting my hair. Cindy wrote it all down and was prepared when I came in a couple of weeks later. I am very pleased with both the coloring job as well as the haircut I received. Gastons also receives high marks from me for having a clean and comfortable hair salon. I have found my Hill Country hairdresser!

Darlene always makes phone calls to remind me of my appointment, and she individually greets me when I enter. Samantha cuts my hair how I like it after an excellent scalp massage. She also regales me with funny stories. Gastons is serious about mask wearing and I don’t feel worried about COVID.

This is a well run salon with excellent stylists. From the time you enter the door until you leave (looking good!) everything is totally professional and top quality.The staff members are friendly and service oriented. If something is not right (which is rare) they will fix it. Ive been a client here since 2009 and I highly recommend this salon.

The place is clean and nicely decorated. They also have nice pedicure seats. And a great selection of nail colors. I have and will continue recommending them to anybody who needs wonderful services!

I have been having my hair done at Gastons for over 40 years. In all that time the service has been professional and friendly. Gastons is a hometown salon that has grown with the needs of the community. Lisa, the physical therapist is knowledgeable and professional. When I need a therapist thats who I turn to. All the stylists are excellent at their craft. And Barbara has continued the excellent service started by her husband so many years ago. I cant imagine going to any other salon.

Best salon AND spa hands down! Massages are to die for! The massage therapist is so wonderful and professional!! She makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable. Also the establishment is very clean and super relaxing and they will greet you with your choice of either a crystal glass cup of water infused with fuit, your choice of hot tea or coffee for free. It is a bit more pricey then other places I have been too but soooo worth it!! I absolutely recommend this place especially for massages you get about an hour for $85 you pick your own scent, the music is very very relaxing and you are in a candlelit room I said they put these warm socks on your feet so your feet wont be cold. You also get an amazing scalp massage which is my favorite!! And you also get that scalp massage when you get a haircut too! Best Ever!!!

I always enjoy coming to this salon, I love the trickling Waters of the fountain in the lobby, the wonderful Aveda tea and the hair stylists are awesome. They have a great selection of Aveda hair and skin products and do a great job of explaining how and what to use. Im a regular customer!

Had previously had a good experience with Gaston’s, so my husband decided to treat me to the spa day package for Valentines Day. I was so excited for the relaxing day I had ahead of me! I was getting a massage, facial, mani and pedi, makeup application and scalp massage, hair wash and style and lunch. I went in, and was off to a good start. The massage therapist is wonderful, and does a great job. Finished up, and went for my facial. The facial was okay. She did a very few extractions, and seemed a little rushed to get everything done, but it wasn’t too bad of an experience. But that’s where anything good stopped. Whoever scheduled my appointment, decided I should be put with the student. Had I known this from the beginning, I would have either asked for someone with more experience or cancelled the appointment all together. She did my nails, which were halfway painted. I didn’t get the manicure at all, I simply got a polish change. Next up, Was hair. I got a simple curl, that came out okay. That experience wasn’t too bad either. After hair, was makeup... which was a complete joke and humiliation. She used a color way too dark for my skin, and didn’t even bother blending in. She added bronzer to my cheeks, and it was a burnt orange color. She did not blend the eyeshadow. And my eyeliner was literally half an inch off my eyelash line. I looked like a clown!! On to my pedicure, she didn’t bother cutting my cuticles, cut my toenails way too short, and didn’t even paint my entire nail (same she did on my manicure). She also had painted my skin in multiple areas, and didn’t bother cleaning it up. I’m on the verge of tears at this point as we paid about $300 and my expectations were not met. I had a little trouble getting a refund after everything was over but the lady finally decided to give me $40!!! At this point, I was completely fed up and decided I would let my husband handle it from then on. He called a few days later and was able to get another $40 but we ended up paying over $200 still for an absolutely horrible experience. As a salon, they should have booked someone with a lot more experience to the lady who was spending the whole day there and made sure things went right, not the student who very clearly had no idea what she was doing. My husband and I had plans to go to dinner immediately after me leaving the salon but that could not happen since my makeup looked that awful.. I had to go home and try to get that color and product off, which was not easy, and I had to go spend another $70 elsewhere so they could fix the horrendous job that was done on my nails.

By far the best jewel in New Braunfels! The salon is fabulous and never been dissatisfied with any hair cut or salon experience. I live in San Antonio and still drive to this salon...its worth the drive!

My favorite Aveda salon in town! This is my go to place for haircuts, styles, pedicures, and THE BEST massages in town! I love Samantha for my haircuts and Lisa for massages. When I was pregnant she helped with my back so much! Ive been going to this salon for about ten years now!

My experience here has caused me to have negative feelings about my wedding day. My hair appointment lasted 1.5 hours, and when the appointment was over, my hair looked NOTHING like the picture I brought. I wanted a simple bun-type hair style and got something...strange. I couldnt see what was happening because of how my hair was hanging in my face while my updo was being put together. Since it took so long, there wasnt enough time to start over and actually get what I wanted because I had to get back to my venue. Despite the long time and 38 bobby pins in my hair, my hair started falling before I even put my dress on. I was so distracted by falling hair pieces and I was so heartbroken because I did not feel like the beautiful bride that I should have felt like. Since my mother paid for the appointment, she contacted them with our complaints and there was absolutely no response.If you want to feel gorgeous on your wedding day, DO NOT go here.

Robin is the best! She really knows how to cut and style hair. Always gets it right. I just go in and tell her what im thinking about doing and she does it even better than i imagined. I will drive to New Braunfels to see her no matter where i move to.

Gaston’s and staff are amazing. Since moving from New Braunfels several years ago I have not been able to find an Avaida Salon that even comes close to Gaston’s. Any time I go back to New Braunfels I book an appointment. The service, friendly staff and shampoos are incredible. Give them a try!!!

Gastons Salon and Spa is my go-to salon for highlights and haircuts (with Cindy) and full body massage (with Lisa). This has been true since we moved permanently to New Braunfels almost twelve years ago. There are two things I like most about Gastons--the atmosphere of cordiality and the sense of a team working together (no big egos) and the no-tipping policy.

I was very skeptical booking my appointment here due to other experiences with customer service and judgment in New Braunfels. Im SO thankful that I decided to give Gastons a try. The customer service is excellent from everyone, its clean and the product set up is organized. Christina has given me the best pedicures, always making sure i am happy and comfortable. I do think the pedicure area can use some cosmetic updates but other than that I love Gastons and will continue enjoying this spa.

I was looking for a nice salon for pendiqure. I came across this one. I give only 2 stars and that because the atmosphere, the clean place and the ladys in the register, so sweet ladies. The young lady who did my pedicure needs more experience. My 6 years old kid would do a better job. My nails was all over painted and around the skin, never clip them(even when I asked for), never remove the quticals and they were over painted. Few days after I remove the color my nails were yellow, probably from too much color and stuff she put on. I wanted to go back if the result was professional but unfortunately it wasnt. Too but for Aveda name brand. The other lady was doing a very good job to the costumers next to me. I was looking at her all the time and was wondering why mine was unexperienced. Never go back to that lady even if she was sweet, the result is the job well done which wasnt the case here.

Very good stylist that are loyal. No tipping which is different but works as the staff love working there and are well.
