My daughter and I booked appointments for pedicures. We splurged on the deluxe green tea pedicures $55 each. It was wonderful! It’s a pedicure that emphasizes exfoliation. It was over an hour long service and it was great! My feet have never been so smooth. It is family owned which I appreciate. And they required a mask and sterilized everything including the chairs. Will come back for sure!

I liked it best pre covid, but they are really kind and always take their time. You are not rushed. You matter.

Did a really good job. Very nice too. I got there an hour before closing and she didnt rush through or anything. UPDATE: Nails started popping off around a week later. Paid 40 and 10 dollar tip

This is by far the best nail salon in West Nashville. They provide exceptional service. I love this place.

I have been going to this place for a minimum of 2 years. its pretty clean, not overly crowded, & reasonably priced. I think Ive only had 2-3 unsatisfactory visits but this last visit was the last straw. due to covid they are appointment only right now which I completely forgot about but I had showed up @ opening time & they were kind enough to fit me in. I got my regular selection (I work in healthcare so its never super fancy), normally it runs me about $50, this time it was $60 but I got extra length. I even tipped and thanked the man for squeezing me in. they seemed a little thinner than normal but they felt secure & looked nice. I got them done on a Friday morning by sunday (2 days later) 1 of the nails broke off IN MY SLEEP. not @ work. not doing any activity. simply sleeping. even my boyfriend thought that was crazy. I called them Monday & told them what happened & asked if I needed to make an appt to fix it. the man said no, to just come @ opening time which is 930a. I REPEATEDLY asked if I should make an appt. he said no. I work 3rd shift in a medical facility. I had planned to get off from work & get to the nail salon. I was held up @ work & got to the salon ASAP which was 950a. there were people being serviced already. i did not expect them to stop servicing anyone to accommodate me, however Linda kept telling me that I could make an appt or come back in an hour. I did not have that kind of time which is why I called the day before! I do understand I was 20min later than expected but I did not anticipate having to wait an hour or even having to come back so quickly in the first place! I only had 1 nail broken but it was completely missing. I left without being serviced. a few hours later, ANOTHER nail was beginning to break! again doing absolutely nothing! there is no way my nails should be unforcibly be breaking completely off in less than a week! unfortunately I will probably end up removing the set they did & finding another salon. I can not continue to patronize a business that does not stand by their work after its done & who are not considerate of their customers.

Why have I never reviewed this place before?? Ive been coming here for 15 years and I love it. Its run by sisters Linda and Karen, their husbands and some of their kids. I *do* wish theyd update their nail polish selection more often, but if Im feeling super-particular I just bring my own. Very affordable and the service couldnt be friendlier. Make an appointment if youre in a hurry but know that they always take walk-ins.

I went to get a full set acrylic, the man who did them was so nice and so kind but he did a poor job. They were thick at the end and thin in the middle which caused them to snap right after the day after I had gone in. I went to get them fixed today and they wouldn’t fix them. The women said that it was my fault and that I would have to pay another 40 dollars to re do them. I was furious that they wouldn’t fix their mistake. The only reason I am even giving it one star is because of the nice older man. I wouldn’t recommend going due to poor quality and lack of customer service.

Warm family owned business. Orlando was so sweet. The store smelled awesome and I was in and out in about an hour and a half. Love them!

This place is a joke. Over priced, if they could they would charge you to use the bathroom. Pay for fill, but getting your nails cut during your fill is 10 bucks. Keep going down Charlotte for something worth the money.

My nails are absolutely beautiful and even.! The first time Ive ever been, theyre so nice, and interested in your babies lives lol. Pretty good prices as well, I got a new set and color for $30.!

These people are not professionals. They are horrible at what they do! Tried to put acrylic over gel. My nail broke before I even got to my car so I went back in. Instead of fixing it, they just filed it down. Now my nails dont match. Asked them to fix it correctly and they said no, wait a few days and it will look better. What?! I will never give these people my business again and would advise others to go elsewhere.

UPDATE: 4/17/2021- I came back after a 1 year delay because of COVID. Now fully vaccinated, but still being careful, I really appreciated the By Appointment Only services, temperature check, mask requirement, and hand washing requirement. There were only 3 other customers in the salon with me. The price for the OPI Spa Pedicure went up from $35 a year ago to $40, but I was more than happy to pay it. Lynda did an excellent job again, taking her time with my poor, neglected feet, and I am leaving a very satisfied customer, looking forward to coming back. I highly recommend Star Nails and Lynda!3/2020: I had a $35 OPI Spa pedicure by Lynda this afternoon. She took her time with my cuticles and heels, and did a great job on the nails. Ill be returning!

I was completely disappointed. I sat and waited in cold water for 10 min then he finally changed it and left me for another 5 just for the lady who walked in after me, to be serviced before me. I will never return. They appear nice but customer service can use a lot of work.

Cheap prices. Nails look good. Place just needs to be cleaned...its dusty as all get out and they have no barbicide where the scrub brushes are for your nails....

Worst place EVER!! Do not come here, Im warning you. The gentleman in the shop ruined my toenails completely. He snipped until I was bleeding everywhere and then told me it was okay and that it happens all of the time.. I was terrified but trusted him. A few days later, i went to the hospital to get it checked out and discovered I was contaminated with MRSA due to the sanitation of this place. STAY AWAY!!!
