I am very impressed with this group. Everyone is very kind and professional. I had to have an unexpected root canal and Dr Sheats-Mathis completed it without any pain at all. The X-ray techs and assistant were also awesome. This is the most organized Dr’s office I have encountered ever. The receptionist gives you a warm welcome feeling when you arrive and the financial officer was awesome as well. IHave nothing but excellent marks for everyone!I highly recommend this practice.

First of all I am not a paid spokeperson but a patient who had a root canal with the Sheats Endodontic Group. I can honestly say that the root canal with Sheats was one of the easiest dental procedures maybe ever. I hated going to the dentist as a kid fearing pain of the drill and needles. Here there was no pain and once I was numbed up they were done in little over 30 minutes! Wow! Not only that but after the novocaine wore off there was an absolute minimum of soreness and discomfort. I am shocked it was so easy. I know everybody is different and everybodys dental situation may vary a bit but I felt I had to say something. It is not everyday that something merits high praise. Kudos!

Had such a great experience with the greeting staff, I wish I could remember the name of the woman that sat me in the room and asked me the questions, I don’t want to say assistant without knowing her title but she was assisting the Dr during my root canal operation. I wish there was a better system for keeping someone numb. I felt the second half of my operation due to not understanding what I should be feeling, and with breaks for X-rays, I couldn’t tell if the numbing was wearing off until Dr started back up. I felt horrid things going on and felt the procedure continue after I had made it obvious I was in pain, until finally was given more numbing meds. Being pregnant, I wasn’t allowed the longer-lasting kind. But there should be tests done to see when a certain amount of time has passed, to go ahead and reamp the meds to avoid my experience.. Luckily though, the assisting Dr, I want to say Shay, was the best!! We had great conversation, and she eased my anxiety. Even while having an attack during procedure, her presence made me feel as safe as possible. I would recommend anyone to her.On the plus side, I am no longer in excruciating pain, it was a well performed operation and I applaud the dentist. I just can’t shake what I felt :(

They provided excellent service. The entire staff was very friendly. Atmosphere was welcoming. I gave 3 stars because I was overchatged. When I informed the lady that I had applied for care credit, the price changed. I spoke to her about it but she made up some bogus story. I went ahead with the $1800 procedure because I needed the 1 root canal but surely shell pay for it in the long run. Not to mention that dont include the filling and crown I have to go back to my dentist to get. I know l was overcharged.

The staff is just not welcoming at all. I would suggest training in phone ethics.

I went in for a root canal. This wasnt my first root canal but second with them. It was a very good experience! Very informative and efficient service. All their staff is nice and caring with a relaxing atmosphere. I have anxiety so this means alot. I would highly recommend Sheats Endodontics!

Dr. Jay Sheats (Sheats Endodontic Group-Nashville,TN) is an excellent Endodontist, great chair side manner, thorough & precise work, as well as professional. He and his staff made my first office visit yesterday a pleasant experience. It was so pleasant I fell asleep during my root canal. No pain during or after the procedure. Due to a recent unrelated traumatic dental experience, I was apprehensive and nervous about going to an endodontist for the very first time. Dr Sheats and his staff were compassionate and caring which relieved me of those emotions. Im looking forward to my second visit next week.

I recently had a root canal performed by Dr. Sheats-Mathis and it was honestly the best dental experience I may have ever had. I went in hurting, and from the time of the initial numbing gel forward, I felt no pain, even in recovery. The procedure was honestly so un-remarkable I almost fell asleep! DURING A ROOT CANAL!

Everyone in this office was friendly and kind. After x-rays and a consultation ($$), the doctor told me I did not need a root canal. He could have made more $ off of me, but was honest about alternative treatment and still took the time to answer all my questions. He helped again with sending a timely referral. I would recommend this practice, and I thank them for their gentle treatment since I was in a lot of pain.

I have been to this office for two different tooth/root issues and both times the office was extremely professional and helpful! About a year ago I had excruciating tooth pain and ended up needing to be seen multiple weeks in a row to fix the issue. Dr. Sheats and all of the staff at Sheats Endodontic Group were extremely kind and helpful and made the whole process as bearable as can be expected. I had to go in again because I was having more sudden pain in my tooth and the office squeezed me in with a same day appointment. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing to see an endodontist.

Just Had the opportunity to utilize their services today and wanted to commend the team on the expert care, professionalism and quality of service. Going to the dentist is sometimes scary however from making the appointment, to reception, billing and finally executing the service....it was top notch all the way. Kudos to the team.

I was sent here by the Veterans Admin. This was one of the most professional offices I have ever been to. All, and I mean All the staff was friendly and helpful, explained every aspect of what was being done. and if there was ever any little pan, they stopped and corrected the problem before continuing. I was very impressed and would go back if it was needed.

I want to say Thank You to all the staff and Dr. that assisted me on Friday. I walked in with a painful toothache and only water would make me feel better. The front desk lady went to find me a bottle of water so sweet of her. When I saw the Dr. a test was done to find out what tooth was causing my toothache and then he numbed my tooth. The assistant was super sweet and personable as well. It was not painful and I am thankful I went to the office. I am now recovering from my root canal.

They charged me to do X-rays that my dentist had already done, just for them to tell me I needed a root canal. Obviously that was the reason why I got referred there. The dentist assistant I had was not friendly at all, it seemed like she hated her job.

My first root canal went great! Dr. Sheats and his staff were very informative and professional. Barely any pain during my root canal and after the swelling went down and the feeling came back I had barely any pain and no problems. I was happy. I would highly recommend my family and friends to see Dr. Sheats and his team if they need a root canal done.

I had to make an appointment for a possible root canal. I had a consultation with the older gentleman and was put at ease with his demeanor and system he and his his staff have in place. I am very pleased with my experience.

If you like dentist who cant wait for you to numb before they shoot up with novacaine, then this is the place to go. I couldnt believe that the dental tech had the nerve to say, oh, you one of them kind, when I was saying that the Dr. couldve waited for the gel to numb the area, that was painful... The Dr. even had the nerve to make me want to think it was pressure. Im almost 60 years old, I been going to dentists a long time, and I know the difference between pressure, and down right pain. In such a rush to get rid of you to go to the next patient, instead of taking the time needed to ensure that patience are comfortable and having an experience, and not feeling like they are on some conveyer belt like meat going to the slaughter or something. Two stars because I did make it out alive, and the tooth did get fixed in spite of the pain.

They are so friendly and professional. They had very good communication in explaining to my young girl what was going to happen to put her mind at ease.

I came in with a tooth ache and referral for an evaluation of tooth number 29 and/or 30. The technician informed Dr. Jay Sheats that there was sensitivity on tooth #29 however he retested and insisted that it was tooth 31 causing the pain. I paid $900 out of pocket and woke up with the same pain the very next day. Went back to office and was given 2 prescriptions. One month later the same pain has returned and now he tells its tooth #29. It was #29 the whole time, I never had pain in the back of my mouth. So now Im STILL IN PAIN, out of $900,l have to pay for crown, and gotta pay for whatever works needs to be done to #29... They will never get my buisness again!!!

Experience was very good. BUT I mailed a check on March 3 and it still has not cleared my back. A month is entirely TOO LONG!

My mother made an appointment for a consultation for a root canal and had a great experience with the father and had a horrible follow-up experience with the son. The son was very unprofessional, arrogant, and sarcastic. The son really needs to learn to take a more professional and non-leisurely tone and approach with his patients. Just like the metaphor, a rotten apple spoils the bunch. That rotten apple just received 2 stars.

A root canal is never something one looks forward to, but there is no other place I will go if given the choice!! Sheats Endodontic has provided warm, professional and timely service to me on two separate occassions. They are a gleaming example of how to treat a patient. There was no long wait, they diagnosed my problem, explained the needed treatment, confirmed my insurance coverage, proformed surgery and then contacted my dentist to schedule my follow-up appointment for my crown before I left their office. When the anesthesia wore off, the discomfort was minimal and I did not have to take pain medication. I strongly recommend Sheats Endodontic Group. They were GREAT!!!!!!

I went to this place years ago, my dentist referred me because of my insurance coverage. I never went back and allowed my dentist to handle my root canals. There wasnt much personal attention, they kept bouncing from patient to patient like a lazy susan over and over my whole appointment. The office didnt seem well kept as I remember and they required payment up front not after the procedure, which Id never seen in my 20 years of dental / endodontic care.Id never seen such a lack of personal care and distrust of patients in my life.

I was referred to the Sheats Endodontic Group by my dentist for a root canal which I did not want to do because I remember the last time I had dental surgery. I was surprised that I felt zero pain during or after the root canal was completed. Everyone there was very professional and I would recommend Sheats Endodontic Group to anyone.

I would highly recommend this practice if you are in need of a root canal. The Charlotte Avenue office is currently undergoing renovations so I went to the office in Franklin. I was referred here by someone that works for another dentist in town and she said that she had a root canal done there, and they did a great job. Everyone that works at Sheats Endo was very pleasant and professional. They were very accommodating when my flight to Nashville was delayed by 2 hours and let me come in an hour later for my appointment. Dr. Jimmy Sheats and his dental hygienists explained everything that they were doing, in a way that was extremely understandable. Fenecia (sp?) in finance was very helpful at explaining the insurance and what everyhing would cost. Janet, the front desk receptionist, called me the day after the appointment to see how I was feeling. That has never happened to me before. If you need a root canal and are in the Nashville area, this is the place you should make your appointment!
