Highly recommend Embassy Dental Hillsboro for all dental services. I use them for routine cleanings and check ups, and my husband has had more extensive work like crowns placed. They do quality work and are friendly and professional. They handle insurance filings for you, so that makes it really easy. COVID-19 procedures are followed so you can have confidence in the office environment.

I love everyone at this office! Dr Jay is always straight forward and honest with you. If anything ever comes up that needs attention right away they get me in as soon as possible. And the girls are super sweet every time I come in 😊

Words cannot explain what these people at this Dentist mean to me starting with Dr J and his staff that I will name LaRhonda and Cecelia, These woman right here always assist Dr J when he’s doing his magic on my mouth always being very careful and making sure that I’m OK doing the procedure. I trust them so much that I will put my life in their hands and I would feel safe thanks to them to I have a mouth full of crowns and bridgework done with minimum pain throughout the entire procedure. I just experience a new hygienist her name is Zee very professional and knowledgeable for my needs of getting and taking care of my teeth the right way I look forward to my next cleaning with her as well. Real quick let me tell you a story about Dr J I literally Followed him from another dentist in Murfreesboro where I live and when I first came to this office he made me feel just like I was home it’s been like that every since I trust everything that he says to help me get the most beautiful smile ever thanks again buddy. They would come in a little early when my temporaries will fall out and make me others some of the people there I cannot name I don’t remember but the entire office has been good to me!!!!! I love this crew and I know they love me because they have taken care of me to the fullest thanks again❤️🦷❤️🦷💯

Literally fell asleep during my root canal… I have such a horribly low pain tolerance and I’m terrified of needles. They made this process so peaceful. ALWAYS come here for dental needs!

I’ve visited this place a couple times for x-rays, cleanings and a night guard—which turned out to be the most comfortable (hard) mouth guard I’ve ever had. The hygienists were very professional, and the staff is top-notch.

This place is AMAZING! The whole staff there are so sweet. I had to get some work done on the 8th of July and had to get a temporary bridge put in and Doctor Jay was amazing! Definitely will be making him my dentist from now on.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Also this is a novel, but worth the read. I recently got a new job and made a new patient appointment with Embassy Dental for a basic routine maintenance cleaning. When I arrived, a hygienist took pictures of my teeth and checked my gums, etc. all normal right? Well I was informed after that this was just a consult appointment NOT a cleaning appointment and that could be made after today. I wasn’t made aware of this when I spoke with scheduling on the phone prior. Then the hygienist tells me she needs to create a treatment plan for me. Let me preface, I have some genetic issues that run in my family that we’ve all been dealing with for years. Without consulting me, she goes and calls my insurance company to get a quote for how much it would be to do a deep cleaning that I “have” to have done. I then get quoted for $365 for this deep cleaning that no other dentist in my entire life has told me was necessary. I then asked them if I could pass on this and just schedule a regular cleaning, and I was told that wasn’t possible. Well, I called my insurance after and they told me that Embassy just inquired on how much it would be, and at the end of the day it’s my teeth so I CHOOSE my treatment. Needless to say I made an appointment with a different dentist after today’s experience. It’s a shame because the dentist himself is super informed and really nice, but the hygienists don’t listen to what you want to do, and tried to lock me in to paying for something I didn’t want to. Super shady.

If you can avoid this dentist and this company DO IT at all costs. Went because my insurance covered them and although the dental services they provided are fine they will SQUEEZE EVERY PENNY OUT OF YOU! I am a young college student and they took complete advantage of me with predatory charges. You have no option: they will always pick the most expensive procedure without asking you and charge you for their supposed mistake. They are COMPLETELY un transparent. After getting a refund for their price scamming after consulting my insurance provider, the next time I went I brought the charge schedule and they still did the procedures without telling me the cost of it beforehand and charged for every little thing they did down to the fluoride treatment. I’ve spent more than $1500 there in the past few months, which is at least 600 more than I would have if I had chosen another dentist. I really like Dr. Jay and the staff there are really sweet and talented but unfortunately I can find that at many other dentist’s offices.

I love Embassy Dental! When I moved to Nashville 5 years ago I found them and instantly felt so comfortable. Now I live in the outskirts and still drive in 45+ minutes to see the staff here. Kim and Christina are both wonderful! So happy here!

Ive never dreaded going to Embassy Dental. Because Dr.Jay and staff always makes you feel right at home. further more, my confidence in the quality of there work. Has never been tested, over the decades and they are superbly located within the Vanderbilt area. with ample free parking. OH yes did I forget to mention. That they have many payment plans, to ease any financial concerns.

Dr. Jay made a treatment plan quoted more than $2000 and the treatment was arranged in the next week. Then I visited another dentist (with >4.5 star rating on google) for a second opinion, the dentist gave me treatment immediately which only cost less than $500. What’s more, the molar Dr. Jay said needed root canal turned out to be in good health, while another molar he believed was of no problem was actually the reason for my severe toothache. Will never come here again.

I had quite an exceptional experience at Embassy Dental ! They treat patients kindly and with respect! Dr J was very thorough in explaining procedures and I appreciate that type of service. A special shout out is due to Z ! She was so funny and great at what she does .

Dr Jay is a gentle and kind dentist! I never knew I could feel this way but after years of working together to fix my teeth after an accident, it’s been a great experience. Everyone else here is awesome as well. Renetta at the front desk always greeted me like an old friend and now at the end of my dental journey, Jessica has been empathetic and thoughtful in helping me with my implants.I love this place!!

Overall, I had a great experience at embassy dental today. This was my first visit to this office and they did very well screening visitors for COVID-19 and asking appropriate questions. They escort you in after taking your temperature outside. I immediately felt welcomed by Kim, the dental hygienist who took care of me today. She was personable, energetic, and kind. Most of all she made me feel like she truly cared about my dental health. My teeth feel so clean now! I have never been scared of the dentist, but it’s not something I really enjoy because how expensive it can be. She explained the cost of different dental treatments. I really appreciated her explaining why I would benefit from such treatment and the cost before hand so i could agree. Aside from being a very professional dental hygienist, you can tell she’s a great woman and she deserves the recognition. She seems to really love her job and makes your day brighter when you meet her.Thanks Kim!Dr. Jay was nice and professional. The whole team did a great job of educating and that’s really important when you don’t understand dental health.I look forward to returning in 6months.

I just came from a New Patient appointment with Dr. Jay and I wanted to leave a comment for the team! Jessica was my nurse and I spent the most time with her - shes an absolute delight! She was friendly and funny but not like that fake kind. It was an absolute joy having her do my x-rays and such. She made me feel really comfortable, as did the rest of the team. The gum specialist was super kind and explained everything she was doing, Dr. Jay was thorough and didnt make me feel rushed or passed over, and even the woman from billing went over our game plan for work I need, with pricing and everything. It was an excellent experience and I look forward to going back (which - who ever says that about the dentist?!) Thanks guys!

The quality of care I receive here is excellent. Dr. Ruark, Kim, LaRhonda, and the rest of the fantastic team are all customer-oriented. They want to make sure they do the work right. I can tell that the comfort of their patients is another of their top priorities. For example, Dr. Ruark calls me the day after an appointment to follow up with how I have been doing since. I am glad they are here serving the Nashville community!

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Jay, he quoted me $7,300.00 worth of dental work. Ive always had good, strong teeth and never before needed dental work. Dr. Jay was very nice, but during the consultation, I felt like he was giving me a sales pitch. He used charged, daunting language that felt wily.I visited my previous dentist for a second opinion before proceeding with Dr. Jays treatment plan. He said that my teeth look great and no dental work was necessary.Further, I was shocked by Embassys up-charges on base level procedures. I have dental insurance, so I expect to incur no costs out-of-pocket for routine cleaning and examination. Instead, a cleaning was an extra $88.00 after insurance. Just now, I received a notification to pay $100.00 for the examination.However, my hygienist was Jessica, and she was lovely.

This was a great experience. Very knowledgeable and welcoming even amidst the pandemic going on. As a new patient and new to the Nashville area, they made me feel comfortable and went the extra mile to make sure this would be my dental office as long as Im a resident here.

Since I live close by to Embassy Dental, early every morning Im serenaded by the employees with their loud music blasting, yelling/cursing/screaming, and the loud revving of a black Dodge Challenger or Ram truck for no real reason at all. Im sure the dentistry itself is fine and somehow the employees clean up their act before treating patients in order to keep their job. But as far as being neighbors with them, its awful. Im not sure whos running the ship there but it seems crazy to let your employees represent your business like that.Im not trying to be a Karen, I just want to sleep.

Dr Jay and Ms La Rhonda are simply awesome. While on a trip to Nashville, my tooth filling came out. From scheduling an appointment at short notice to getting treatment in a clean, friendly environment, the whole experience was simply extremely professional. Highly recommended!!!

Kim is wonderful. Shes attentive, personable and hard-working. Highly recommend for cleanings.I was less satisfied with the pain I experienced after a filling was redone. I had to go back twice for bite adjustments and decided to seek a second opinion elsewhere.

Dr. Jay and the rest of the lovely folks here are great to deal with. Sometimes teeth suck and (in my case) are tricky to sort out; the staff here do a good job at being available and performing quality work.... I can crack sunflower seeds again. To me that’s a big deal.

After having issues at other offices I have finally found a location that I like. The hygienist Kim was very professional and up front with me. She explained in detail everything that she did and explained costs to me so there was no surprise when I went to pay. Definitely a great experience and Im now excited about dental hygiene.

I went to this office from June 2018 thru March of 2020. When I first saw the dentist, I was told I had a number of cavities that would need to be addressed. However, I was never given a treatment plan. I came in every three months for perio cleaning, and neither the front desk nor the hygienists brought up cavities or a treatment plan for 2 years; I did not see the dentist in that time frame at all. I assumed the cavities weren’t serious given that no one at the office seemed concerned about them after that initial appointment.Finally, in early 2020, a hygienist brought up cavities and I elected to have them filled. The dentist was alarmed by how deep the cavities were, and said I would need crowns (which I opted to have done elsewhere). The fillings were not flush with the tooth, and I could feel jagged edges of the fillings in my mouth. I went in for an adjustment and explained this to a hygienist - she dismissed my concerns and said the fillings were fine. When I started seeing a new dentist, see was clearly unhappy with the look and feel of the tooth after the fillings, and said she would make sure the tooth had a “more natural shape”.I do not feel like this dentist or office were a partner and my dental care and I do not recommend them.

Moving during a pandemic has many challenges. Luckily, finding a dentist wasn’t one of them. I can’t say enough about Dr. Jay and the entire staff at Embassy Dental. From the receptionist, to the hygienist, to Dr. Jay himself, I have never felt more at home and confident that they all had my best interests at heart. The office is insanely clean and has all of the newest technology. However, what is more impressive was that they really listened to my concerns and made a point to make certain that I was comfortable. The dentist has always been a nightmare for me and I get horrible anxiety about going. Now, I am looking forward to my next appointment! I highly recommend Dr. Jay and his entire crew, you won’t be disappointed!

Ive been to this clinic for years and there are definitely pros and cons, however, I have to say that they have one of the best hygienists I’ve ever been to. Kim is amazing. She is knowledgeable, explains everything in detail and gives the best cleaning you will find! She really shines and you can tell she is passionate and excited about what she does. Their new-ish hygienist Kim is a gem! I came in for a routine cleaning last week and by the time my appointment was over not only had she done a great job of cleaning my teeth, but she had also gone through my dental record with me to make sure everything was up to date and even helped me with some sensitivity I had been experiencing around my crowns! She did multiple rounds of desensitization and testing until she felt absolutely sure I would notice a difference. She recommended a fluoride treatment, but took the care to check if my insurance covered it and then, when we found out it didnt, made sure to ask my thoughts on if we should do it or not. If its any indication, she even helped me with the sleeve of my coat on the way out--she has a genuine care for her patients, as well as a strong knowledge of what she does! In conjunction with Dr. Jays awesome filling/crown work, this is a great place to come for dental care!

Ive been to this clinic for about five years now, and I was not always satisfied with the service, to say the least. And while the dentist has changed and the general staff mildly improved (lots of turnover, it seems), Ive never been as satisfied as I was with this past autumns bi-annual visit. The dental hygienist Kim was super friendly, flexible, and taught me more than Id learned about my own oral health in the last three years combined. She was so incredibly thorough with my cleaning that I left with NO questions; and let me tell you that as a nurse, Im very curious about my own health.Will definitely be following this hygienist wherever she goes.

Had a great cleaning for first time in 7 years - they were able to do a new patient appt and a cleaning same day.

This is the first time I’ve ever left a review somewhere but I’m honestly just amazed at how terrible the service here was. Had an appointment for a cleaning last week and they didn’t get me seated in a chair until an hour after my scheduled appointment, only to tell me that since I was a new patient they wouldn’t be able to do my cleaning that day and I needed to schedule another appointment. I had also chipped a tooth and wanted them to smooth it down so that it wouldn’t be pointy and noticeable and they said they could take care of it, but when I got home and looked in the mirror the chipped part looked exactly the same as it had when I got to the dentists office, and I can’t help but wonder what exactly they were doing when I thought they were fixing that. I also saw a lady walking around the office who’s mouth was gushing blood and when I went to the bathroom there was blood all over the floor. I scheduled another appointment because I thought since I already filled out the paperwork I might as well go back and let them clean my teeth, but they just called and cancelled my appointment for today, so I will not be going back there and neither should you. The only highlight was the nice lady who took my X-Rays and helped me schedule that second appointment, I feel bad she has to work in such an unorganized environment.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! I rarely write bad reviews but people need to be aware of this sham of a dentist. I wish I could give 0 stars.Dr. Jay completely botched my crown replacement and told me I needed multiple fillings when I had just seen another dentist a year before and was given an all clear.The crown he replaced caused extreme pain, it just didnt fit. I had to go back multiple times for him to try and fix it and he never got it right. I have been in pain ever since.When I moved to Miami and saw a PROPER dentist, I was told that the crown was done terribly and needed to be replaced. In addition Dr. Jay had filed down enamel on a healthy tooth to make the crown fit and theres a gap on the other side that has caused me major problems.Long story short I paid over $1500 two years ago and I have to pay AGAIN to get a crown replaced that should have lasted for much longer. I have had issues chewing, hot/cold sensitivity, and extreme nerve pain to this day. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Do not waste your time or money with this fraud.

First time at this office and I am so happy I went. Kim is so passionate about her job. She explained everything she was going to do and taught me how to better take care of my teeth and gums. Please go see her.

Going to the dentist is not most peoples idea of a fun thing to do, but this dental office is different. The office staff are so warm, helpful, friendly; the technicians are the same and really great at their work; and Dr. Mark (Jay) Ruark is fantastic--very skilled in both simple and complicated procedures, a great diagnostician, excellent at explaining what needs to be done. He also has great follow-up skills, calls to see how recovery is going and is available for questions.

My appointment was at 3:30, didnt get out of there until close to 6. My cleaning was perfectly fine, but far too much waiting. When it was over, I had to wait for the dentist for my exam and he wasnt coming anytime soon so I had to reschedule it. When my hygienist asked the dentist if he had time to do my exam after doing the person in the room next to me, he quickly said nope and walked away. Just too much disorder, lack of organization, and lack of care for patients. Even stopping in with an apology and to let me know whats happening would have gone a long way.

The staff is always nice, helpful and willing to answer whatever questions I may have. And Dr. Jay does a great job with breaking down needs, procedures and recommendations. I’ve done routine visits and a more advanced procedure at Embassy Dental — the office has a friendly and professional staff and Dr. Ruark does a great job at putting patients at ease and fixing complex dental issues. Dr. Ruark followed up with me for days while I recovered; he communicated and answered questions (after hours and over the weekend) and made my recovery and comfort a top priority. Highly recommend.
