I just renewed my lease for another year and I couldnt be happier! The property itself is excellent and well-maintained with great amenities, and the location is perfect. Its hard to imagine a place could be so convenient to all of Nashvilles fun and still feel so safe! Ive had a couple of minor routine maintenance requests and theyre always handled immediately. The staff is so friendly and professional and every interaction Ive had with them has been top-notch! Im looking forward to another wonderful year!
I lived at Octave for almost two years, and absolutely loved it! Such a great central location - super close to everything in Nashville with tons of good restaurants nearby. The pool and gym are amazing too. Office staff is always very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend!
I love it here! I’ve been at the property for about 6 months and honestly it’s so amazing here. The people are so nice and for the most part mind their own business. Also the staff host a lot of community events throughout the week which I personally love.
I was strongly considering this property after visiting the location on 06/26/2021. The staff person was nice and after the tour I provided both my email addresses and my contact number. I was told I’d receive a follow up email shortly. Well it’s close of business the following day and I have at either email address (checked my junk mail folders) and no missed phone calls or texts. I’ll guess I’ll keep looking and find at places that is actually interested in having me being a resident.
I’ve really enjoyed living at Octave. Great location and people. Favorite place I’ve lived in Nashville!
I had the pleasure to move into Octave a few months ago. All of the staff have been wonderful to deal with. I had a couple minor issues, which were dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. I work in hospitality and can say the staff is top notch!
If youre looking for a place where the staff is not only rude, but gossip about their residents with their neighbors, then this is the place for you. Furthermore, there is no accountability, if you wish to escalate an issue to upper management, good luck! They have each others back! The current property manager has no boundaries as her regional manager will have her back no matter what. Your emails will be ignored for the most part and if/when you get an answer, the manager is rude, condescending and unprofessional. It is unfortunate, because people who have been here longer than I have all say the previous management was a lot better. They are now bribing a few of the residents, (the chosen few) that they fraternize and gossip with to write positive reviews in order to push the negative ones down. Stay away from this community until this management team is gone!
I placed a client in Octave today and he was absolutely thrilled with the quality and amenities of this apartment complex. Ask for Juliano, he’s an extremely bright, talented and responsive leasing specialist at Octave.Guy - Apartment Insiders
The team at Octave has been very helpful and accommodating. Alison goes above and beyond to make sure that you are happy with your stay. Everyone is also very understanding. I highly recommend!
Attempted to lease an apartment here a few years ago. Got all the way up to signing the lease, and they informed me that the deal which lured me to Octave in the first place was good only for the day I came in to look at units. I would have to pay way more a month in rent for my chosen unit. What a bait and switch. It had my head spinning, and I spun right out the door never to return.
Good luck getting someone to answer the phone at the front desk. Its impossible getting in touch with anyone at this place. Its as if they purposely dont answer the phone here.
Have really enjoyed the management here! SO friendly, always willing to help out, genuinely care for the residents and are attentive to needs. Great amenities and nice apartment units as well. Definitely would recommend!
The focus on the customer has simply declined in recent ownership changes.
I moved to Octave in Dec. of 2020 and have had a great experience. The leasing office is super friendly, attentive, helpful and down-to-earth. The maintenance people are very responsive and kind. They do an excellent job of keeping the building in great shape. The neighbors are very friendly and considerate of one another. I love the salt water pool, 24 hour gym, cozy lobby, convenient computer lab and Luxer One package system. The location on 8th Ave is very ideal. Walking distance to Publix, Maple Street, Zanies is right down the road. The pricing is a good value for the apartment size, amenities and location. IMT across the street offers the same things as Octave but is almost $500 more a month. The resident cafe portal is super easy to use to pay your rent or put in a maintenance request. I have to laugh at one of the reviews on here. Talking about no one answering the phone at the front desk. This isnt a hotel...LOL If you have an issue, just hop on the elevator and go talk to the leasing people in person! They are super friendly and accommodating to you walking in.
The current management team is running this place into the ground. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and incredibly difficult to work with. Please spare yourself the headache (continuous throughout the course of your lease) and lease elsewhere.
The apartments are great and the staff is even greater. Mayer has helped me so much since the day I moved in, I’m beyond thankful to him and the rest of management!!
I lived at Octave for 4 months and then moved out early to buy a house. I would have absolutely stayed at Octave for longer. They have wonderful amenities and an amazing staff that really tries to go above and beyond to connect the residents. The location is also prime. Although I was there for a short time, I highly recommend octave, as moving out and breaking my lease was very easy. Thank you for everything!
I toured last week with Kiki, and she was phenomenal! I have a few other options Im looking at but Octave is super high on my list. The property is nice, the amenities seem really great and the location is perfect.
UPDATE: Tara from Pinnacle Living reached out to resolve this issue. I am thankful for her attention to this matter and have faith that she will remedy any issues. I am sure it was a simple oversight and the case of someone having a bad dayOctave was recently purchased by TIAA. Last minute, they warned residents that the portal to pay rent would be down. I found a paper check (who uses those?) and paid rent for November. December rolls around and the portal to pay is down. On 11/30/20, I received a notice from their new system that rent was due 12/7/20. This was great news since their portal was down to make payment on 12/1. I dropped off a paper check in the office on 12/7 only to be told that I would have to pay a 10% late fee. I have never been late on my rent in the 3+ years. Not only was the CSR disrespectful as she was talking in front of co-workers and others but she was also wrong. There is obviously a lack of communication within management and/or new ownership but it should not be at the cost of the tenant. The CSR rep needs more training when it comes to communicating with tenants as it can be an easy turnoff when there is one bad apple. Hopefully, the portal will be up for next month and hopefully this CSR is trained.
I have lived at Octave for close to a year now and I feel I should tell everyone how great the staff is! They are always so helpful and considerate and know me by name any time I come down for something. I know Elissa and Kevin best, but I also know their new staff and management are just as great as they are! Its a great place to live, super close to everything nothing is more than a 15 minute drive. Any time Ive had an issue its fixed very promptly, and theyre really great with all my packages I have delivered. Definitely 5 stars, its as well run as you can get for such a busy city to live in!
Im new to Nashville and this location is perfect! Not more than 10 minutes from all the great Nashville locations but just far enough to avoid downtown rates and traffic. The amenities and color of the floors/cabinets/trim are so sleek and modern. Love that the parking garage is gated so I feel safe and that I can park on my floor.
I recently moved to Octave after moving from my previous apartment due to how badly the community was run. Octave could not be any more different than my last apartments and im extremely happy I made the move! The staff has been extremely helpful and understanding. I was also welcomed by the apartment life team and couldnt feel more at home! Big thanks to the entire staff for being amazing!
Just moved to Nashville with my girlfriend. We chose Octave for the up-and-coming neighborhood, the friendly staff and the apartment layout. We moved from out of state and did everything online, and Rachel made everything easy and efficient. We were very satisfied with the online leasing process, it was super easy! We had high expectations that were exceeded once we saw our new apartment! The Octave experience has been great and we look forward to the rest of our time here!
Ive been here almost a week and its been a great experience. Rachel has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process (answering countless emails during the weeks leading up to move in and even helping me bring up a bunch of boxes I had shipped here). The whole staff is incredibly nice. The apartment is absolutely amazing. Theyre all new so everything is nice and clean. The complex itself has been quiet so far, which I appreciate. There is construction going on around the neighborhood, but I only hear it sometimes during the day. Its really close to so many great restaurants and theres a Kroger right down the street which is super convenient. No complaints so far, I love it here!
I have lived here three weeks now, and the experience has been great. The amenities are well kept and convenient. You really feel secure and safe living here. The staff at Octave are very professional and pleasant to interact with.
Just found my next life at this amazing spot right in 12 south!!!! :)I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Bailey and he was super helpful, funny, and patient in helping me select which apartment was the best fit for me!Its super clean, updated, and a young enviorment!
Just moved in to our gorgeous, brand new apartment and couldnt be happier with the experience. Our leasing agent, Rachel, made everything super easy which was great because we moved from out of state. All the staff has been really friendly and maintenance was very quick to respond! Location is within walking distance to some great restaurants and the amenities are really beautiful. So glad we chose Octave as our new home.
I absolutely love this community! The staff, residents, and location are great. I would highly recommend Octave to anyone trying to find a beautiful, friendly place to live near downtown.
DO NOT RENT FROM OCTAVE. I’m not one to write a review especially a negative one but I would hate for someone to go through my experience. Customer service is terrible. I was locked out of my apartment with my dog trapped for over 18hours and they refused to help. They directed me to a locksmith who can’t get into the secured building. I moved in to a used, dirty and stained carpets that they would not replace. For $1400 plus for a one bedroom I expected more from the Octave team. I opersonally can’t wait for my lease to end so I can leave the building. I love all the people in the building renting and the desk employees but the corporate structure is awful and not personal. Once they get your money, they don’t care. They have key pads on the building that don’t work.
Octave offers a vibrant community culture, fantastic amenities, and various apartment layouts to choose from. In addition, the leasing management and staff are extremely gracious and helpful. My leasing agent, Rachel was a delight to work with before, during, and after my move in.
My experience with Octave was HORRIBLE! If i could give 0 stars I would.1. I signed my lease and the leasing agent quit her job the next day. The turn over in the office is terrible and therefore nobody ever knows what is going on. Therefore nothing ever gets done. This is why it took until I turned in my notice to move OUT to get my move IN bonus.2. I didn’t get my move in bonus until the month I moved out. I asked about it several times and never got anywhere with anybody. They requested copies of my lease because they said they could not find a promise of a move in bonus in my paperwork that they had. I had to to take off work to provide them paperwork and re-sign paperwork in order to get it. It was a nightmare!3. My car was STOLEN from the “secured” parking garage only a couple weeks after I moved in. It happened on a Sunday and even though the property manager lived on site the manager on duty would not let me talk to him. I understand separating work from life but this was a big deal. It caused me to miss two days of work. The manager basically looked at me and said “well these things happen.” There are supposedly cameras in the garage and they told me they would review them, in the end they were very little help and I am not sure the cameras were even reviewed.4. I told a family member I had moved to octave and a week later they moved in. I NEVER received my referral bonus. When I tried to address this with management they said that my referral never moved in. Even after I provided a copy of their lease with my name on it as a referral they still would not do anything about it. They told me it was too late.5. The overall quality of the apartments dwindled quickly due to lack of upkeep by the facility. Scratches on the walls, the grills in the courtyard never worked, and stains on the carpet in the hallways.6. Be prepared when you move out. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. They said I stole the smoke detector and cords to the cable boxes (seriously) and charged me for those. After arguing and proving that I didn’t do this they did credit it back.7. The biggest thing is that they charged me $1,600 for the refrigerator. I had a pickle jar fall one night and placed a 1 inch crack in the base of it. This did not affect the operation of the refrigerator at all, some white epoxy and it would have been fine. The best part is that property manager flat out lied to me. He said that the refrigerator cost them $2,200 so I was getting a discount. In actuality it costs $1,200 brand new or $800 at the sears outlet. I did end up getting the refrigerator in my possession with the hopes of reselling it since nothing is wrong with it. However it is hard to sell something that you paid $1,600 for when it is not even worth that.8. Don’t even think about talking with them about the charges it’s a waste of time. The property manager asked me to meet with him and discuss my issues so I took time off work to come in during business hours to meet with him. It was a pointless. Also be sure to pay them because they will send you to collections for all of the bogus charges.9. They charged me to replace the carpet which I expected. I had a black dog and they have white carpet. However, $400.00 to replace that carpet is steep considering it is not that much space, the carpet is incredibly cheap, and I paid a pet rent of $25.00 per month and put down a $250.00 deposit. Where does that money go?10. After you post one of these reviews they send you some pro forma comment about working with you. That is also bogus. Everything about this place is absolutely horrible. At this point I will pay them whatever they want but I would like for them to get their account off my credit report but this is difficult to accomplish since you cant ever talk to anyone. My advice would be to stay away. There are so many places in Nashville. The offer of move in bonuses and free months looks good up front but unless they actually honor those deals it is not worth it. Avoid the stress and hassle.
Ive never lived in a community that was so focused on the residents. Hands down, this is the BEST living experience Ive had. Amenities are wonderful, community is pleasant, and its super close to everything so I typically Lyft places and dont have to worry about parking. I love it.
These apartments are very nice I have throughly enjoyed living here --- except that our hallway smells like an ashtray every night in a non-smoking community. I have called and emailed multiple times about this with no reply from apartment staff. This complex is way too expensive to be dealing with these issues, and makes me reconsider signing here again.
Octave has friendly staff and great amenities and for the most part I love living here, however, I have had a roof leak in my bedroom since January (now April). I have been told at least 4 or 5 times that it was fixed. It even seemed to be fixed for a few weeks, but every time it rains the leak returns. The front office explained they could not do anything because a third party put the roof sealing material in. That third party has apparently been out to the complex to fix it a number of times but seem to be incapable of solving the issue. Now I have black mold growing on my ceiling. Ill definitely think twice about renewing my lease.
BEWARE!!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!!! We had a nice living experience while at Octave but the departure from there was horrible. We left the apartment clean and handed in the keys. Days later we received a bill that the carpet had to be replaced because of a spot. That spot on the carpet was not there when we cleaned the apartment. We initially had given a non refundable pet fee so even if it was, you would think that the carpet could have been cleaned. However, we were being billed almost $600 for carpet to be replaced in the bedroom. After several exchanges with management, they sent the bill to collectors. It is not an amount worth my time for small claims court but I WARN anyone wanting to live here, BEWARE on your exit for a major bill. You will also be forced to pay the bill to keep your credit record clean. Again, I am certain that the spot on the carpet was not there as I purposefully went to Nashville to help and clean the apartment with my daughter. There is also no way that commercial grade carpet for one bedroom can be that expensive. I truly believe it was their way of making money for an apartment complex that is not fully occupied. BEWARE! There are plenty of other places in Nashville to live. Do not make the mistake we did.
This review is solely based on the design of the building. If you decide to move here, you are way better off using a pickup truck and/or trailer, since any sort of moving truck will facilitate a nightmare that will be hell on you or your movers. Most high-rise apts have poor access, but these are the worst of the newer buildings in town that I have seen. If youre paying any kind of hourly rate at all for moving service into this building, prepare for a long ride.
Been moved in for 2 months now and I’m more than satisfied with everything here.Staffs are super friendly and helpful.
Love it here! The location and staff are amazing, would definitely recommend.
Amazing living experience! The property is absolutely beautiful. They have a top secret signature fragrance that’s pumped throughout their buildings. I’m pretty sure it’s made from the tears of God. They’re pretty tight lipped about it but that’s my guess. The amenities are amazing. The gym is stocked with just the right amount of equipment which means you never have to awkwardly jog next to that marathon runner who is obviously training for the Olympics. (Seriously, my 23 min. trot to a mile is disheartening enough.)The real pièce de résistance is the Maintenance staff. I’ve lived in places where I had to wait 40 days and 40 nights just to have something LOOK at a leak. The Octave’s maintenance team is always punctual and prepared to offer a solution immediately.Kutos to you! Thank you guys for making my living experience a breeze!
I recently moved into my brand new one-bedroom apartment at Octave and am incredibly happy with the experience thus far. Rachel and Kathleen went above and beyond to facilitate making my move as smooth as possible (even going as far as personally arriving well before office hours to accommodate my early morning move-in). Even after move-in, the leasing staff has continued to check in routinely, making sure that I am happy with my living situation.I must say I was hesitant at first to move away from the Gulch, but couldnt be happier with my decision to move to the rapidly developing 8th South / Berry Hill area. The Octave sense of community is phenomenal, amentities are top notch (saltwater pool, massive club room with community TVs, pool table, free community Wifi, local Frothy Monkey coffee served daily, top of line gym and fitness center), and the units are incredibly high quality (all Whirlpool appliances, very nice wood finishes, and great overall color scheme). Moreover, the surrounding area is great and only getting better. There are a handful of good restaurants, a craft beer taproom, and multiple grocery stores/ pharmacies within walking distance (less than .25 miles). More importantly, the list of businesses moving into the area is growing very quickly (new Hattie Bs soon to open, Pizza spot, and Spanish Tapas restaurant within a block). Simply put, the area is great and I have high expectations that it will be even better as new places open over the next 6 months.Very happy that I chose Octave as my new home...
Not actually dog friendly. Also generally not nice. Stay away!
HORRIBLE!!!! If you want to live with degenerate college kids and crack addicts look no further! The staff does nothing to help with the constant partying and noise. The courtyard has fleas so if you have a dog please be warned!
Cost to much!!!!!!! This place will have u so Poe!! u owe 1000 homeless people 5 dollars per person!!
Amazing Staff! Cielo and Juliano were extremely helpful and polite, they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease about the whole process with COVID and everything going on in the world. The apartments were extremely nice and fair priced for the location and the entire staff and complex exceeded my expectations. Will definitely consider calling The Octave home if I choose to move to Nashville
