Amazing place to live! We spent a lot of time searching for the right apartment and finally found it. Here are the main things that helped us to make the right decision:- a lot of shared amenities with an amazing interior design- small community. Pool and gym is usually empty- high level of security. You need to have a key to enter to any space- app that helps to resolve issues quicklyRecently we had couple of events that helped to get to know our neighbors! Love it!
This apartment complex treats its residents extremely well. The respect masks and social distancing, and have really good parking options. Located right on El Camino, you can get to the freeway and downtown really easily. If you have a dog, they love them here and have a place that is walking distance to get your dog taken care of. The even treat their residents to unlimited coffee/espresso drinks. Thats nice. #sipbiecaffe
We just moved in here a week ago. Absolutely love the gorgeous apartments and the community/neighborhood. That’s the extent of our positive experience so far.The major complaint we have is with the package delivery system here. For someone who just moved in, we have a lot of heavy packages and furniture that is getting delivered and is being left in the retail parking garage (near the package delivery area which is outside the community) even though we’ve paid for front door delivery. On reaching out to the FedEx delivery team, we were informed that the lady at the leasing office has been refusing them access. We do understand that security is a key concern but when we reached out to the leasing office staff to check if we could borrow the cart to move our 150lb bed and other items to the apartment, the person refused rather rudely saying the carts were not meant for residents. We ended up dragging the package ourselves. We have mixed feelings about this place so far, hopefully this isn’t a mistake. The least one would expect is for community staff to be polite to new residents.Update: The team reached out to us personally and has addressed the issue.
The UDR leasing office is extremely unresponsive. It is extremely difficult to get a hold of someone, even during regular business hours. We always have to go through an automated answering machine and leave a message and wait for a call back. When it comes to getting maintenance service It takes an absurd amount of time to process such requests. I dont think this is an issue with the maintenance crew because when I have seen them and asked them for help they are very responsive. I think this is an issue with how the requests are processed centrally (but I have no way to know). All I know is that I requested a water filter change for my refrigerator and it took them 8 days to get it fixed (this is after we called to follow up on the request). If you want assistance over the Holidays, you are out of luck. Our garbage disposal broke on 12/23. We did NOT expect maintenance to come fix it on 12/24 or 12/25. However, when I called today (12/26) to ask when they might be available they said 12/28. Meanwhile, we are doing dishes in the bathroom because the sink is clogged. For the amount of money we pay, it is unacceptable to have nobody available for 5 days to deals with this mess. The apartment stinks and we dont want to cook to avoid worsening the situation. The list of issues goes on, but I will stop here. I hope you get the point. Dont get me wrong, the apartments are very nice (except for the fact that I get a view of all my neighbors living rooms and bedrooms from my living room and have to keep my curtain semi-closed) but its not worth spending your money here with all the options you have in the area.
Lived here for almost 3 years and once the on-site manager left, things went downhill. Still paying just under $7k/month to be ignored by management. UDR is not responsive and rude. With the exception of maintenance (they’re amazing), the leasing manager is awful and not properly trained on professional communication. The complex is not being taken care of, mail is constantly being stolen, Latham Street is unsafe. You can definitely find much better places at this price point. Waiting for our lease to end. Very disappointed. Do not recommend!
Ive lived here 2 years and have a mixed feelings about Verve. Weve noticed a deterioration in conditions and service over the last 3-4 months. The onsite management has experienced some turn-over. Service requests are taking longer. Emails are going unanswered. I suppose these things can be tolerated. However, particularly surprising is Verve is trying to RAISE rents when the lease expires (yes, even during a pandemic). Many empty units so not sure what the strategy is here.
EDITED IN OCTOBER 2020: I have mixed feelings about Verve. I lived there for nearly two years, and for the first 12-15 months, was happy with my situation. In 2020, things deteriorated. I was without air conditioning in most of my apartment during July-September - which were not only the hottest months, but also when we suffered from poor air quality due to the wildfires. And I was working from a hot and stuffy home office. Verve made a small compensation in my rent for part of this time, which was appreciated, but did not cover the full time I was without AC. Emails on this topic received no response. Some of the staff are engaged and helpful, while management seems disconnected. Overall, while these apartments are pleasant and conveniently located, management doesnt seem to realize that - at over $5K/month rent - they owe their tenants more attentive service. With rents softening due to COVID, Id recommend you shop around for a better deal where customer service is more highly valued.
My heart breaks for those who are still having to pay or owe market rate luxury apartment near google prices only to have to be babysat and ask for permission to use facilities. Even though social distancing was already a practice prior to the nonsense because this complex mainly markets to professionals who want quite down time. Oh! But they are smart successful rich ones! But you still need to ask for permission....I understand this is not the company is fault and it has to do with santa clara county officials being overpaid and out of touch, but please remind yourself where their overpaid income comes from :). And it is fair to say that we ALL funded their lively hoods which good chance includes an inflated priced house with their own backyard and private space. Who knows...maybe or most likely a pool and gym!!!These over reach rules are just that. I will be happy to do this for homeowners (no one says they earned it) who have no idea what its like to be robbed and have your right to quiet enjoyment ripped from you. This is not the only complex that does this. And the formatting prior to the psycho control rules were just fine (just not large gathering and keep to yourself duh!). Anyways. Yes i am technically a guest here. And not good enough to ever be a tenant for all these available units....but I was hoping that it was only affordable housing building that acted on abusive regulations due to the ignorant rhetoric attached with affordable housing. But I am sad to find out from a tenant I am close with that lives there this high end management has boarded the crazy train as well...And non tenants going about their lives have no clue thanks to their sense of ownership that they have yet to realize is a privilege here in santa clara county!!!
Before you pay close to $5k/month for a one-bedroom, Id encourage you to do one thing first: walk up to the main gated entry on El Camino and see if you can simply pull open the door without using a fob. About 95% of the time this is the case. The gated doorway doesnt even work, and they dont care! Anyone walks through the door, not safe at all.
The maintenance here is absolutely pathetic. They claim everything is fixed just fine when they dont do a d* thing and leave you with the exact same problem when you come home. They do not understand that people dont just want to PAY for luxury, they want to RECEIVE it. When you leave a detailed maintenance request and you show everything youve already tried to do yourself and how it failed, then they should not leave the job until they have confirmed that they have in fact fixed it. Verve probably hired the maintenance staff from one of the dumps on the block right behind us (where rent is a quarter of what it is here). They have not been trained and do not understand that the only job that is done is a job that is done right.
I was looking for a 2-bedroom apartment and visited many places in Mountain View, Palo Alto, and Sunnyvale. However, Verve and its charming staff was something different among others. A modern condominium with all facilities on site, and especially Pamela, their welcoming and fantastic community director, made my day of visit an exceptionally different experience so that I went with submitting my application right away and without any hesitation. Pamela provided a fantastic tour of the site, and addressed all my concerns. She is such a wonderful, responsive, and helpful person that you completely feel at home in Verve. Pamela helped me through all the process of application and moving to Verve and I’m sure you will experience the same if you choose Verve as your future home. Overall, I’m very happy with my choice and strongly recommend Verve to those who are looking for a great place to live.
Excellent place. We love living here. Highly recommend. All office staffs are awesome .
We have moved here less than 2 weeks ago, but the experience so far has been great. Both the apartment and the common areas look almost new, are well maintained and clean. Pamela & John have been very accommodating so far, both before signing the lease (they were available for multiple visits and were understanding about us changing our mind regarding the selected apartment) and afterwards, by answering our questions promptly.
Excellent experience living here. Highly recommend! Will miss the kickboxing machine at the gym.
Mike and JuliaFrom 2017 to 2018 we rented an apartment at Verve and had a wonderful experience there!First, Verve management team is great. We had more opportunities working with John Tacci and Pamela Petersen (recently with Marcos), and it was always a pleasure. They are friendly, responsive and they care about the Verve residents, and always happy to help in any way they can. For example, we were the first tenant of Pamela. She was very kind and eager to help us, and provided us so much support through the entire process – we made lease decision during our first visit. John was amazing – very knowledgeable and professional, and always responded our emails very fast and answered questions in detail. For instance, I emailed John about one treadmill issue, and he replied immediately and the issue was fixed within one day! Before our move we met a problem, John provided several options and solved the issue finally!Second, Verve has amazing amenities and is in the heart of Mountain View. Verve has beautiful communal space, pool, gym, game room, and several places to hang out, gather with friends, which are very well maintained. You have everything you need for living there. In sum, my family really loved living in the Verve community. If we did not have to move out of California, we would have renewed our lease at the Verve. Thanks for fantastic Verve team for all the support they provided and we had wonderful memories there! If you are looking for a new home, dont look past Verve.
You all should know that many of these reviews are fake and created by the Verve. As soon as a negative review goes up, these slimy folks take it upon themselves to make up good things about the building. All you need to do is walk to the back entry door and see it just hanging open for anyone to enter! Or perhaps go by the club room any day and see that management treats the place like a hotel conference center selling it out to the highest bidder. That is probably why the gates are so often wide open for anyone to enter. This place is a profit center for the Verve/UDR, not a residence. And watch your bills, John Tacci is crooked. He double charges you and then ignores you when you repeatedly try to get it fixed.
I went to Verve while looking for temporary housing. I was pleasantly greeted by Pamela, she was friendly, knowledgeable, professional & gave me 5* customer service. Verve has amazing amenities and is located in the heart of Mountain View. I highly recommend!
Verve at Mountain View is absolutely amazing. After spending the day going from apartment complex to apartment complex from Palo Alto to Sunnyvale, my husband and I still hadnt found the one. As soon as we walked into Verve, we knew we wanted to make it our home. The spacious apartments have beautiful hardwood floors and lots of gorgeous natural light. All the appliances are brand new. Maintenance requests are taken care of within 24hrs. And in regards to the staff, they are extremely friendly and accommodating, and go out of their way to help you and to make you feel welcome. You truly feel like you are a part of a tight knit community. Lastly, be sure to check out the amenities, which include a gorgeous pool, a gym with brand new fitness equipment, a game room, a work center, and much much more. Im so happy to call this place my home!
I live across the street and fire alarm has been going off all day. Very unprofessional.
The team here is amazing! The property always looks great and the team there is so friendly!
Great location and amenities. I love all the events they host
Very nice place to live, with great facilities and amenities. The staff is very kind, but not so responsive. Price is higher then the average and you can find equivalent options spending low money.
We are new tenants and love the building, amenities and community. We would like to give a shout out to Pamela Petersen, the property manager. She was the deciding factor in our picking Verve as she is so nice, professional and always responded to our questions and was very knowledgable about the building, leasing, amenities, etc. This is a stark contrast to other apartments we visited where we didnt get responses or the property manager didnt have any information (i.e. including for parking, storage, floor plans). Pamela gave us accurate information, was very kind to us and our daughter and was a pleasure to interact with. We are so happy to be new tenants!
My husband and I loved living at the Verve. The communal space is very well maintained and beautiful. The pool and hot tub are a great place to hang out and gather with friends. There is a lot of outdoor patio seatings to relax on during the weekend or after work. There is also a game room, a gym, and a place to host parties. The management team is great. They are always happy to answer questions and assist in any way they can. The managing director, John Tacci, was really helpful in suggesting resources to accommodate our move. The building also throws monthly parties. It is a great way to meet the other residents and enjoy your Friday evening. If we did not have to move to another part of the bay, we would have definitely renewed our lease at the Verve
Love the pool and the room interior style! Very clean brand new apartment. Enjoyed the time here.
Amazing facility. Strong staff. Great place to live.
Love love love the pool, community events, and of course the great people (Pamela and John are awesome) that work at Verve! Cannot imagine living anywhere other than here. My boyfriend and I have met so many people and made some great friends living here. #greatpeople #youwontbedisappointed #pooldays #gamenights
Pros- Fantastic leasing staff that is so responsive and has great communication skills. For example, I had issues completing my application online with the new resident discount and Keagan helped me through it outside of his regular working hour via text message (even when I said he could wait until the next day when he is back in the office).- Keagan took extra care to make sure we could be settled quickly and comfortably. He contacted us 3 days before our move-in date to confirm when we would show up and what we should expect. He had our keys and fob programmed already and walked us into our unit where we were greeted with Verve-branded gifts, and a special treat in the freezer to keep us cool for the move.- The apartment has beautiful stainless steel appliances and spacious interiors; our bathroom and walk-in closet could sleep 2 more people (they are huge!)- A brand new building means the newest technology is available with regards to your keys and internet (AT&T offers 1GB fiber in this building)- The neighbors seem quite friendly based on the folks we have encountered; the staff hosts a social event every Friday and Sunday so there are plenty of opportunities to meet your neighborsCons- There arent that many shops or restaurants around the Verve (yet); they are opening up more retail underneath the Verve building- Your unit may face W El Camino and the whooshing of cars can be annoying- Their gym doesnt have a yoga room, mats, towels, or foam rollers (could potentially request for some of these things and get them added); they do have fancy boxing machines, an indoor biking room, and a weight machine- The in unit Frigidaire front-loading washer and dryer has some load balancing and drying issues sometimes, mostly due to its sensors (I actually prefer the lower tech washers and dryers because they always get the job done, no matter what you put into them since their washing cycles and drying times are completely manually set)- Our particular unit had ventilation issues where flecks of drywall was spitting out so we ended up having to move out (without penalty); they were trying to fix it but since everything had been sealed up already, sucking out as much of the drywall was possible was all they could do (but some drywall was still blowing out.) John, the manager of the building offered to let us into another unit that didnt have these ventilation issues but we had found another apartment down the street at that time and decided to move out of Verve.
Verve is as good as it gets. My girlfriend and I looked at literally every single apartment from Palo Alto to Santa Clara and there is nothing that compares. Right off the bat, Pamela our leasing agent was top notch. She didnt just give us a tour, she made us feel like we were already walking into our new home and community. Turns out she was right, as we leased it the same day. There are agents we dealt with at other properties that were so bad I would have specifically not leased from them, Pamela is literally the polar opposite of that. The rest of the leasing and management teams are nothing but a pleasure to deal with. Every question was answered and our move was so easy (apart from the moving the way too much stuff we have). Any tiny issues during the move in were resolved immediately.Pros:- Brand new building, we are the first to live in our apartment- The finishes are fantastic, Nest thermostats, stainless steel Frigidaire Gallery appliances, keyless doors around the complex. The extremely well-maintained property is spotless, the pool, the grounds, the gym. Everything.- 1 bedroom with den = amazing. The extra space in the den is awesome to have and the closet in the master is the biggest I have ever seen. Even without the den the floor plans are really well laid out. Space where you need it most.- Amazing community. The neighbors are all super friendly and immediately made us feel welcomed.- Amenities - the amenities are in a class of their own. The pool is large and youre able to swim full laps. We were very pleasantly surprised considering how low the competition in the area set my expectations. As a born and raised New Yorker, a good pool was a must have. The community center has all the typical options TVs, pool table, BBQs, but goes above and beyond with the kegerator (I cant wait to throw our housewarming party there). Theres a huge scrabble wall, which once I get into playing daily, I will update this review with all the big words I learned. Theres also what Ive codenamed the man cave, which has 4 huge TVs for multi game watching, classic PAC-Man video games, and giant Jenga.- The fridge is a side by side thank god! I hate the ones with the pullout freezer (horrible design).- Hardwood floors in the kitchen/living room and carpet in the bedroom.- 10-foot ceilings (at least in our apartment)- Complex hosted events - Wine and Cheese nights, summer BBQs, and more to come.- Big gym with all the equipment you would use. They even have a boxing machine.- Gated below ground garage, you do not have to worry about your personal items here unlike some other locations.- Retail is coming at the front of the building, coffee shops, a pet spa, etc.Cons:- Added approximately 2 minutes to my commute.TL;DR - Verve is far and above the best community in the area. Do yourself a favor and forget every other place and go with Verve. I promise you wont be disappointed. FYI, if you tour and leave without leasing there is a very good chance you will lose the apartment!
Amazing apartments... Clean community.. great facilities
My wife and I were seeking a new apartment in the Palo Alto and Mountain View area. We were not considering an apartment complex and had settled on a duplex. This was until we stopped by verve.I had a few moments to stop by the new verve development on El Camino real. Upon entering I was graciously greeted by Pamela who was kind and eager to help me learn about the new property. This was much different than other nearby unnamed properties where the staff made me feel I was inconveniencing them.Pamela showed me a unit and the incredible grounds at verve. I was so pleased I had my wife come by shortly after. John the property manager offered to stay beyond his hours to not rush us through touring the property. We were so pleased with the property, and equally important, the people, that we committed to move in on the spot. After 30 days of occupancy, we couldnt be more happy. We are mid 40s professional without children. The property fits very well for us and we have already met some great people living in the community. It is a very social setup without being overbearing. A resort style pool, gourmet bbqs, outdoor pool table, shuffle board table and outstanding community center for events. The gym is also very nice for workouts. The staff has held formal, and some informal, social gatherings. Pamela, John and Keegan have helped resolve any issues quickly and are a pleasure to know.If looking for a new home, dont look past verve. If I had to site anything wrong is that the building is still completing construction. However this has actually been a positive leaving the amenities to a limited few for a short period of time.
Its a great place, Highly Recommended.
I lived here for about one month in the temporary housing, the community is quite and the garage is gated, everything is new. The only downside will be is very expensive, anyways i enjoyed my stay here
Really nice apartments! Prices are extremely high though
Lovely amenities and management.
Wonderful new apartment complex
