Walking distance to downtown mountain view.Cons: Apartment itself is a bit dated. It would be great to have double pane windows for nosie reduction and energy conservation.Overall, I like this complex, and would recommend it to my friends.

We lived here for more than one year until August 2020. Overall, we had a mixed experience. The personnel and service was consistently great. On the other hand, the apartments are old and the appliances are cheap. If you are coming from another Avalon, like us, you will likely be disappointed.Pros--------+ Good location within walking distance to Castro street where all the restaurants are.+ Very good maintenance staff, always responsive.+ The pool is nice.+ Amazon lockers.+ Covered parking spaces.+ Beautiful green spaces.Cons---------- Caltrain tracks are very close. You can always hear the horn. Building E is very close to the rails.- The buildings here were constructed in 1983-1984. According to a member of the staff, there was a renovation around 2006. As you can see in the photos, there is a lot of room for improvement. Indeed, I question the safety of the stairways (see the pics).- The appliances are cheap and low-quality. There is one old window-style A/C in the living room barely enough to keep the apartment cool. This is especially true for the top units. The bedroom has no A/C so it is hot in the Summer.This Avalon community should really be advertised as Eaves (lower-priced community brand also by Avalon). With the same rent you can find better apartments nearby.

Early this morning I went out for exercising. But the lock of my door was broken and I couldnt go back into my room. I was locked outside in the cold morning wind waiting for the leasing office to open and help me. Then Myrna noticed me, gave me temporary key, and helped me fix the lock. She was very nice, skilled and helpful!!! Thanks her so much for saving my day!!!

We love this community- it is in a great location, walkable to everything we need and plenty to amuse us even throughout the pandemic. There are multiple parks and playgrounds that are easily walkable. The complex itself is very well maintained. There always seems to be something blooming and something exciting for my toddler to find (not to mention close to the train and fire station so we can see the trains/fire trucks/police cars regularly!). It’s very quiet and very dog friendly with a dog park on site. Geo is well known to all the dogs because he always has treats ready for them.I love the layout of our apartment and the beautiful yet hardy floors. The walls are very well sound proofed which was important for us with a dog, cat, toddler and infant.Everyone who works here is wonderful. Geo, Oscar, Myrna and Hilda are always extremely quick to respond to any maintenance problems and always stop to say hi when we see them around, even when I know they are busy. We don’t know many people especially with the pandemic and we are so grateful to see their smiling faces each day. We’ve only had a few minor maintenance issues and I’ve put the tickets in at night after hours and by noon the next day they were completely handled and fixed.Stephanie, KC and Mae in the main office are just as wonderful- always friendly and accommodating. They have gone out of their way multiple times for us. They are always looking for ways to improve and to better our experience living here.It is the perfect combination of things for our family’s needs and tastes and we are so glad to live here!

I was able to tour a three bedroom apartment unfortunately I’m looking for a two bedroom. I love that the washer and dryer were inside of the apartment. After touring the outside I can see why people move here, it’s very clean and pet friendly. Everything is very well-maintained. Hopefully a two bedroom apartment is available soon.

I am new to the Mountain View area I took a tour of Avalon and was so grateful for the staff. Specifically for KC Lanuza he answered all my questions and reassured me they are pet friendly. The community looks very well maintained. They have a pool, BBQ are and gym everything looked very sanitary. I am still looking at other locations closer to my job but this is a top contender. I wanted to thank the staff for answering all my questions.

We lived in Avalon Mountain View for a year now. We always find it agreeable when it comes to the service the complex provides. However there are some major cons.cons:- Inconsiderate neighbors and poor management enforcement. Loud phone call on the patio day/night, dog poops not being picked up, watching video in a high volume at night, walking in the complex WITHOUT wearing a mask during pandemic, leaving a mess in the garbage disposal area with unflattened boxes.Management only send out email reminders which no one reads. With no enforcement, issues would always persist.- Inadequate safety precaution for Covid-19. Still seeing residents walking/wandering in the complex. At least put a sign to remind wearing masks!- A/C is very old, and LOUD. It also drips water to the AC downstair— the dripping sound can literally drive you crazy at night if you are a light sleeper.- Water can drip through the patio wood panels, which can be very frustrating if you want to hang out in the patio and your upstairs neighbor overwater their plants.- No light fixtures in living room or bedroom. Don’t let the switches fool you, those are for the wall outlets. We had to live in the dark for a few days until we bought the lights.- Noises, from Caltrain and construction.To be fair, caltrain is not that bad, as long as the windows/doors are shut. We lived in building E, which is the closest building to the Caltrain, but on the further side, the noise level is all right inside the apartment. Outside can still be quite loud.But the construction noise is penetrating as it’s happening right outside your door. It usually don’t last too long overall(like 1-2 weeks?), but it’s hard to concentrate/rest during the day(9am to 4pm)when it happens.pro:- The complex is well maintained, lawn is mowed weekly, pool is regularly cleaned, tree trimming, etc.- Requests are always fulfilled in time, usually the next biz day- Dog poop bags are generously provided- Amazon locker(not sure if it’s a pro, recently I noticed the packages are outnumbering the cabinet count, and left in mail box area unattended)- Positioned in a relatively safe area even without a gate(but do hear from management team that car break-ins happened lately in November)- Close to central expressway and 101

I recently moved into an apartment and Casey has been phenomenal in answering all my questions, promptly addressing all my concerns and being genuinely awesome. I can recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an apartment with great management.

I’ve been living here for 2 years and just signed on for a third.5 stars for the staff here- everyone from the leasing office (KC, Mae) to the maintenance crew (Geo, Oscar, Hilda, Myrna) are so helpful and kind.The apartments are older and not renovated, but I guess it’s reasonable for the price range here. It works fine and issues are fixed quickly by the maintenance team.The ceilings/ walls can be kinda thin, but it’s tolerable as long as you have understanding neighbors. We had some noise issues and KC and Mae were great in helping us with them.

We have very positive experiences living in Avalon Mountain View for the past year. The staff is professional, helpful and responsive to residents needs. We are in the process of moving to another Avalon location out of state. While it can be overwhelming to move to another state, Stephanie has been very helpful in guiding us through the process and required tasks. Highly recommended apartment community.

This review is primarily for the office staff (KC) and the maintenance staff (Geo, Oscar). KC is super sweet and will try to help you with all your needs! I know I can always go to KC with any problem and I will find an understanding ear. I am very happy with all our interactions and all the help I have received :-) The maintenance is also always very quick and very friendly and helpful! They have been around for a long time and care about the tenants. Thank you so much for all the help you have provided me over the years and solving the numerous maintenance requests!

Lived here since 2016 and continuing my lease. Here is my opinionPros:- Maintenance staff (Geo, Hilda, Myrna, Oscar) is prompt and excellent always.They take extra precaution during COVID-19.- The proximity to Castro street and the neighborhood is plus.- They apartments are dog friendly.Cons:- The apartments are old so there can be some features that are missing compared to newly built apartments but for the price and location it’s a good deal.Overall I don’t have anything negative to say and my family continues to have a good experience staying here.

KC has been so friendly and helpful throughout the move-in period and beyond. The team of staff here is always ready to help which is fantastic. The apartment unit itself is spacious and the outside area is nice and well-maintained. Its only a short walk from downtown Mountain View, so easy access to shops and restaurants. Can definitely recommend!

If you have a dog, this is the best place complex I have seen. There is a dog park and everyone knows each other by their dogs names. Downtown and several parks are walking distance. Gio in maintainence gives dogs treats and every dog knows him.I have been locked out a few times and maintainence is very responsive. They have food trucks come once a week which is nice. I have not been able to use the gym or pool yet because of COVID. The train is a pro and a con. It is a quick walk from the complex, but it is loud.I had a bad taste in my mouth from a previous experience with Avalon a few years ago and was initially hesitant about renting from Avalon.

I lived at Avalon Mountain View for a year and moved during the pandemic.Although the rent was relatively high for these old buildings (it got down during COVID so its better now), the staff are awesome and deserve 5 stars.Management helped me when I locked myself out of the apartment (3 times) and organized amazing activities through out the year. Special shout out to Richard and KC (if they still work there)Maintainance staff are also very friendly and responsive.

Changing it to 4 stars from 1 because majority of issues were resolved and in general we have the positive experience with some exceptions.- Maintenance team is awesome. Simple as that.- Apartments themselves are very nice, but you can feel that everything is cheap. The outlets are cheap made and loose, paint on the walls is the lowest quality possible, cabinets are covered with some kind of plastic veneer. Again, it is not bad, and it is enough for 1-2 years of leaving here without a problem. Having washer and dryer inside of the unit is the huge plus, but they are half-size vertical machines. If you need to wash your shoes or big blanket - you are out of luck. Sometimes theres not enough hot water for two to take a shower, but it is rare. Never had major issues with appliances or the unit itself. Note that the heaters are wired in the weird way and you shouldnt expect separation in heating between bedroom and living room. If you need warm bedroom, - you will get warm leaving room as well (watch out for PGE bill in such case).- premises themselves are well maintained and clean. I would even say, they over maintained. Each Thursday they will wake you up around 8-9am with leaf blowing activities. Windows (at lease in building A) are not sound proof, so it is a little bit annoying. I would suggest lowering amount of such activities and do it at least 1 time per two weeks;- in the summer we noticed that sprinklers are over watering the grass. Seems like such a waste of water;- amazon lockers for your packages are finally here and it is huge plus for the residents;- lots of parking and it is free. One spot is assigned and covered;- spiders in the summer are your constant guests. They do not pay the rent though.- big patios;- proximity to Cal-train tracks is bothersome (basically just behind the fence). Apartments are constantly shaking and sometimes the amount of noise from the trains is tremendous;- 10-15 minutes walk from downtown Mountain View and Cal-train station with Bullet trains;- Shoreline, around 8.30am-10am, is the mess because of the Google employees. It takes a lot of time to get out of mountain view to 101.- small dog park and BBQ area within the community is nice to have;- fitness center is nice. Free Wifi in the leasing office and good pool;- 30 minutes of walking to Stevens Creek Trail next to HW85. If you like to run/jogging, you will find it useful;- When we moved in there were are some issues related to construction and noise. Now it is much better though. I wish management had a better solution to the construction of the hallway stairs and didnt block residents for 8-9 hours from entering/exiting apartments few times during the construction. Its done deal, but I would suggest management to learn from that to avoid residents frustration. One start is removed because of that.

A very nice apartment!

They have construction repairs almost every week. Be prepared to wake up to loud drilling right outside your window weekly at 8:30 am, sometimes multiple mornings a week. Absolutely ridiculous - as my sleep has been severely deteriorated in the past year living here.My roommates and I sent them many emails regarding this, which the leasing office ignored for months. However, they sent us emails requesting for updated proof of renters insurance. This means they only choose to reply to things that concern them, and they dont care about the tenants at all.The leasing office claims that the repairs are necessary for the safety of tenants, but if an apartment complex needs repairs on an almost weekly basis, it is probably too old.

We have yet to move into Avalon Mountain View, but we have already had such an amazing experience working with the Office in preparation for our move. We have been shown amazing customer service from the entire team, especially from Community Consultant Stephanie Lorenzo. From answering 100 emails with questions and concerns to accommodating timelines, Stephanie has been our savior through this whole process. Overall, this entire team has truly gone above and beyond and we already feel like were a part of the community. Cant wait to move in a few weeks!!Update: My husband I have been living at Avalon Mountain View for about a year and a half, and we LOVE living here. The grounds are pretty and the apartment is super spacious. We love how close it is to Downtown Mountain View and how walkable everything is. But we continue to be impressed by the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and always available to help with any little thing. Geo is so friendly to chat with in the morning, and KC is always around to help answer questions. Myrna is an absolute sweetheart. The rest of the team is just as incredible! They really care about our community. Plus, our newest favorite perk - they bring food trucks to us every week! Love not making dinners on Thursdays :) Thank you to Avalon Mountain View for creating such a great community!

TLDR: Avoid. Flea/Bedbug-infested apartments. Incompetent, management that will ignore you and lie.We moved into Avalon Mountain View in #226 on the 9th of August 2020. When we toured the complex, it was apparent that it was in bad shape. The buildings are old and look rather dilapidated with poorly maintained staircases and decks. This was an early warning sign that we unfortunately ignored.The initial few days we got used to the thumping sounds when anyone walked on the decks above us, the roar of the Caltrain behind our building, and continuous deck repairs with drills and hammers that started at 7 am. On the 18th of August night I discovered bite marks on my abdomen which were from either bedbugs or fleas. We immediately called the maintenance and the leasing team.They sent a person from the pest control company accompanied by a maintenance person who demanded to see the bites and vociferously claimed that there were no bedbugs here and these were flea bites--as if that makes it any better. Both were extremely aggressive and poorly behaved. They barged into our bedroom without our permission, did not care to keep their masks on. They claimed that the previous residents had a cat that probably caused the fleas. When we called the leasing team later, they said that they had no idea if the previous resident had a pet. I do not know who was lying. These two people asked us to vacuum the place regularly which we did--and we still got bitten for a week later. They were clearly negligent in preparing the apartment for us and anyone planning to rent there needs to know this.The leasing team had promised us VIP treatment for all our maintenance requests in the first 14 days. But after this initial encounter, no one picked up my follow-up calls or replied to my emails after my initial complaints. After many of my calls were ignored I called from a different number and it was immediately answered--so the leasing team is either incompetent, dumb, or malicious. Neither of which is desirable. They were extremely polite and responsive prior to our signing the lease, but promptly ignored us afterwards.The only good thing about Avalons lease is the 30-day guarantee term, where you can get out of a lease within 30 days of moving in. Our experience at Avalon was so bad that within a week we started looking for a new place and moved out after 17 days. The Avalon team sent us the bill after moving out and added $165 cleaning fee that they took out of our deposit. We stayed in their flea/bedbug-infested apartment for 17 days, regularly cleaning it, and they had the shamelessness to charge us a cleaning fee.

KC is extremely helpful during the move-in process. The community team is excellent. Before I choose Avalon Mountain View, I was kind of worried about the Cal train noise, however, when I move-in, I find the noise is so subtle that can be ignored. All in all, great experience here!

UPDATE:We clearly told the leasing office (by email and by submitting a hard copy request for pre-moveout inspection, see attached photo) that we did NOT want to participate in their clean sweep program, yet they billed us $150 for it anyways.In addition, the leasing staff initially did not respond to our request for our pre-moveout inspection due to Not performing due to COVID-19 social distancing. This is ILLEGAL. The laws in California about the tenants right to a pre-moveout inspection have NOT changed! Also, we made the request for the inspection in March 2021. This is no longer lockdown times like it was in March-April 2020. There are methods to conduct a socially distanced pre-moveout inspection--you guys just didnt want to do it and used the pandemic as an excuse to skirt the laws. After multiple emails and calls, the leasing office finally relented and sent Oscar (maintenance employee) to conduct a pre-moveout inspection on 4/9/2021. Note that this was only a week before our moveout date, while California law stipulates the inspection should be conducted at least 2 weeks prior to moveout.Finally, they added a random $65 charge from Solution Cleaning Service, even after Oscar noted no damages or cleaning needed. See attached itemized apartment receipt from Avalon. Oh and that receipt says we said YES to their Clean Sweep Program--thats incorrect!For anyone reading this, dont expect to get your full security deposit back unless you fight for it. I dont know if its this complex or AvalonBay as a company, but theres some shady s*** going on. Take high resolution pictures of the apartment. Save all your invoices and forms you deliver to the office. Keep documentation of all this because if you dont, theyll do shady s*** like this!OLD REVIEW:Pros: Maintenance staff is awesome. Front desk staff is great too and tries their best to accommodate. Grounds are well maintained. Apartments are generally okay but theres some issues (see below).Cons: Apartments are old. Wall outlets are very loose and feel like theyll rip out when you unplug something. Theres some noise from the train and neighbors. Theres frequent construction and maintenance of the grounds (e.g. railing repair). Theres major construction next door for the Villa MV apartments by Prometheus. Our washer has been defective for over a year (it almost flooded our kitchen once). It was finally replaced with a brand new GE washer/dryer unit, but that turned out to be defective too (would overheat and smell like its burning). The GE service technician came twice and still the issue has not been resolved. Avalon maintenance has been excellent about this issue, but in some ways their hands are tied.The biggest complaint is more directed towards Avalon as a company and not the staff at Avalon Mountain View. Avalon is a greedy leasing company like any other company. They consistently increased our rent to the maximum allowed by law. When COVID struck and rent dropped by ~40%, they refused to budge on our existing lease. Transfers to cheaper apartments in the community is more or less impossible. Youre stuck with your rent price for the 12 months. Other smaller leasing companies around the area (not the big name companies like Avalon, Prometheus, etc.) will sometimes try to help out tenants. I understand theyre a business and all, but when you treat your customers like ****, you should not be surprised when many of them (over 25+ vacancies at time of writing!!!) leave when their lease is up. We will too when time comes.

I lived here for almost three years and had a great time. The community is friendly and the location is convenient. The staff members are super helpful. They even helped me track down mails and packages that were delivered after I moved out. Maintenance is great too -- there has never been an issue that was not solved within a day. Highly recommend!

Ive lived in Avalon/Mt. View for the past 10 yrs, and I can categorically say that the current office and maintenance staff have been the best Ive encountered. Not only are they the most helpful, but they are able to observe and anticipate your little needs before you even you ask them. The apartment complex had also undergone the most improvement projects during their tenure, and Ive just nothing but good things to say about them.

Awesome customer service. I lived at Avalon Mountain View for 10 months. During my stay here, I had no unhappy experience with the management team. I usually contacted Richard for accommodation issues. He was always responsible and considerate. He showed a warm smile every time we met, and for every accommodation issue I reported, he got it down within the same day or the coming workday. Even after I moved out, he helped watch the mailbox and inquired the next residents for some important documents that were mailed to me. Thanks a lot for the wonderful service, Richard and Avalon!

I lived at Avalon MV for four years (2015-2019) and had a great time. The community is nice and management is amazing. Richard is the most awesome leasing consultant. Once he even helped me carry a heavy sofa through the stairs to the second floor because delivery guys refused to deliver it at my door. Frank from maintenance is awesome too. I never had a problem that was not solved within 24 hours.

The rent is a bit lower than nearby communities. The maintenance requests are handled promptly - usually the same day. The staff at the leasing office is very friendly. The interior decorations and utilities, however, seem a bit old.

We moved in a week back and have experienced an amazing customer service right from looking at different apartments in the complex till our moving day.We are grateful to KC Lanuza, for being very accommodating to address our questions over several phone calls and emails and making the process quick and easy for us. Thanks for going above and beyond to address our concerns.Thanks to Mae (Marilou Riedel) as well for being extremely helpful through out the process.Apartments - Good amount of closet space. Inside Laundry units are a plus point. Lovely patio.We were also worried about the Caltrain noise but after living here for a few days, it doesnt seem to be a problem for us.Community is beautiful and serene, we have already started our after-dinner walks as we love to stroll in the complex (of course with our masks on for now :-) ).Appreciate all the measures the staff is taking during the pandemic.

Nice area, close to Caltrain and Castro St. Very dog friendly. Nice dog park and family picnic area in complex, nice BBQ area and pool, plenty of parking. Good amount of storage in apartments (closet off patio) with good sized kitchen. Living rooms are a little small. Laundry in units is very nice. One major complaint is all appliances are the cheapest possible. Stove is very cheap electric with coils, dishwasher is very loud, bathroom fans are loud and not very effective, toilets are loud.

The maintenance team here is really fast. Myrna, Hilda, and the other people on the staff have fixed issues the same day I requested them.Location is good, and the on-site gym is really convenient. Laundry is in the apartment, which is super nice. The only thing holding back a 5-star review is price (but then again, this is California).

I could not have asked for a better move in experience. Richard Kim in particular was fantastic in helping us follow up on the many items we pre-ordered, ahead of our expected move in date, as well as helping us settle in. The maintenance team, at least the ones I have met, seemed courteous, responsive and eager to assist when called upon. Our first week at Avalon Mountain View has been extraordinary, we look forward to spending many months here.

Ive been living here for almost a year and I could not be happier. Very peaceful community, very well maintained apartments, maintenance comes within 24/7 hours, and the staff that run the front desk are ridiculously helpful and kind. I also have a cat and the complex is very pet friendly, and all the animals seem to be live well together.I was in a bind recently, and needed a LAN cable to do some data transfer. I really didnt want to head out to Walmart, Best Buy, or back to work to get one and thought I would ask the front desk to see if they had one I could borrow. Low and behold the kind gentleman at the front desk finds one in the backroom and lends me it!Would recommend if its in your budget. 10/10EDIT (April 25, 2018): I just want to reiterate how awesome this apartment complex is! I have moved out of this complex to move closer to my new job, but accidentally sent my tax documents to my old address here. Richard was able to help me get into contact with the new current residents of my old address and have them turn in those tax documents. It saved me a ton a trouble and i just cannot recommend them enough. I dont even live there anymore and theyre still kicking ass!

I want to share my pleasant experience with their leasing office, special thanks to Rebecca Lewis. I am not currently living in bay area and cannot visit the property in person, but I need detailed information to make quick housing decision since my relocation is just weeks ahead. Rebecca is very helpful. She is patient in answering all my questions and took pictures of multiple units that I was interested in. Those were useful pieces of information for a non-local customer. Although I didnt finally choose Avalon Mountain View due to other personal constraints, I am pretty confident, judging from my experience so far, that this property is a desirable place to live with such helpful staff.

I am a new resident at Avalon Mountain View and highly recommend it to everyone looking for housing in the area. I am most impressed by how well kept and responsive the place is to residents’ needs. Everything is very clean, which immediately sets the place apart. Jessica at the leasing office is truly incredible. I was unable to visit the area to look for housing, so my search mainly relied on calling different places to find out more about them. She patiently and thoroughly answered my every question. Beyond the apartment itself, she explained to me its location in the complex and the city and its ideal accessibility to public transportation and major highways. Once I was there, she gave me a tour of the whole complex and my apartment and responded to my every concern by collaborating with Avalon’s maintenance team. Avalon Mountain View is the most responsive community I’ve been in touch with. I always hear back right away versus the sporadic communication I had with other communities. The community itself is very pretty and well laid out. It has a very nice pool and BBQ area and fitness center. They also plan fun community events for residents, such as holiday parties and brunch. My only suggestion for the complex so far is to change the fitness center to 24/7, as its 6 a.m. opening is too late for my work schedule and possibly other working professionals who live in the community. Overall though, I am very impressed with Avalon Mountain View and am thrilled to be a resident there.

Repairing service is really immediate here. In this August, one pipe in our laundry room was broken, and workers came to repair in one hour after reporting and clean floor after repairing.One problem here is noisy issue, because apartment often conducts repairing and upgrading and it is noisy sometimes.

Amazing experience. We just booked an apartment at Avalon Mountain View and loved the overall experience. Suzzaine, the apartment coordinator, is exceptionally awesome. She took care of our whole booking and gave a personal touch. Thank you for coordinating and giving a warm experience.

Even though I did not end up renting from here, the people I’ve met during the tour were exceptional. They were very courteous and helpful throughout, even when I called to cancel the application and request for a refund of the holding deposit.

Really enjoy living here. Everyone that works here is extremely nice and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and service issues are addressed quickly. I would recommend this place to others.

Its a quite, clean, convenient, green community; with a nice gym and swimming pool and offer free maintenance.Their maintenance staff is awesome! Shout out to George, Ed and another awesome lady (whose name escapes me). They are super responsive and responsible and take care of any issues right away, like your family would. Our washing machine broke and they replaced it right away, lost my key and I got a new one immediately. They fix any issue no matter how small or big.They organize events and parties every once in a while where entire community is invited. Have a nice barbeque/ get-together area by the swimming pool.Be mindful of rent related statements and finances, things might be off once in a while.The community has a friendly and homely feel :)

A very nice place to live. Real close to downtown Mountain View and all the shops and dining facilities. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Also very pet friendly. A nice place to call home!

Great service! Geo, Myrna, Hilda and Edward are great maintenance technicians and solve requests very promptly. We are very happy with the maintenance service here, it makes a real difference for us.

Avalon Mountain View staff are very professional and really do care about folks overall experience. The maintenance folks, especially George,Ed, Marlena are the best that I have ever experienced. They manage the problem quickly and have a really fun loving attitude. George is superb with humans and their pets. My crazy dog Myles thinks that George is the biggest hero on earth because of the tasty treats he has for him. Folks at the front desk, including Zobair and Caitlin are fantastic and very professional in their work. They are calm when matters need to be addressed and truly care about the community of folks they are working with. I cant express my gratitude and satisfaction enough.

Gosh, Ive been a resident of Avalon Mountain View for 4 years and just LOVE the maintenance team!!!! The response to any maintenance requests is completely amazing :)). Service is super fast (they often show up minutes after submitting an order online!!), very friendly and really efficient.. I appreciate that everything works pretty well in my home and in the different areas of this community (except that the pool can be too cold in the Winter.. oh well :) ) !

The best part about living here is the really friendly and helpful staff. Geo, Ed, and Myra are really wonderful maintenance staff. Any time I had a maintenance request, they were quick to respond and fix the problem. My dog Wrigley also loves living here because he frequently gets treats from Geo when we are on walks around the neighborhood.

Im only a new resident here at Avalon, but i have to give a stellar A+ to Richard Kim in the leasing office. I had to find an apartment site unseen and do all of the paperwork from NYC, then move in late at night on a holiday weekend - and Richard made it all possible. He was such a huge help for making this come together.

Spacious apartments with all the amenities. Most apartments do not have central A/C, but have a wall mounted unit. Is usually good enough for the summer. Staff are quick to respond to and fix problems.

We have been here since Dec. and we love it. Bianca, Andrew, George, Ed, Yesinia and all the staff Rock. If you need anything they are there to help, they always say hello to us and are very friendly. Our fridge went out and they replaced it within 1 hour of my service email and also credit us for the food we lost. Best place Ive lived in 10 years. Thanks M&M

Avalon MV is excellently situated near restaurants, homey downtown, public transportation, supermarkets, and many more. The community is diverse, friendly, peaceful, and safe. The staff is amiable and responsive. Cost is pretty good as well. Been here for almost two years and counting.

Nice place overall.Trains go by far too frequently and its far too close to the tracks to justify the high rent.Apartment was clean when I moved it.Quality of paint on the walls is horrible, marks up really easily so you need to be very careful so you dont get hosed out of your deposit.at $2500 a month its just OK. sub $2k, it goes up a star.if you have young kids, the school district is good.

Avalon Mountain View provides exceptionally well placed living life style. With lush green nature around and clean environment, one feels like living in a nature resort. Right from booking the apartment, to moving in and to living here, it feels like living in one’s own house. There is so much of a personal touch given by leasing management folks. Suzanne and Richard, leasing officers are the best agents we have ever met. We have lived in 5 communities till now but Avalon Mountain View experience is one of the best, classy and homely. Maintenance guy, George and his team is just one call away and although hardly ever there is any maintenance issue but nevertheless he is very supportive and sorts things like a family. Gym is well sufficient and poolside is nicely kept for residents to bask in the sun at summers. Parking is superb and can accommodate a big size SUV. Mountain View downtown- Castro is 3-4 min walk which allows us to party late ;-). Complex is peaceful and residents are very respectful. Frequent social get togethers arranged by complex office helps us to network and be social, this has allowed us to make many more friends here.This is one of the best experiences we have ever had till now in rental communities, Avalon Mountain View is more than a family. Living here is an absolute joy!The Leasing Office: Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff. How the leasing office handled our visit with such preparedness secured our decision of moving here. They continue to be helpful with any little thing I need!The Maintenance Staff: The friendliest maintenance staff Ive ever encountered, they treat you like family. Theyre always courteous and knowledgeable and willing to help out - even if its to teach you how to use the in unit washer/dryer.Apartment: The apartment itself is small, some would say cozy. However, I find that I dont need anything more for me and my boyfriend. Its just enough space for us (although Id certainly like more closets!) and our cat.The in unit washer and dryer is more than convenient. Despite others saying they are small I find myself having no problem stuffing a bit extra inside, dont forget that clothes will shrink when watered down! There is enough room. Theres a dishwasher, fridge, and electric oven. All more than enough in size. And there are endless cabinets! With AC, this place cannot be beat.Parking: I have two vehicles and while Im only given one covered parking space I have no problems finding an uncovered open spot for my second car.Landscape: Its gorgeous. Come see it for yourself. Theres even a pool that is well maintained!! Im looking forward to using it this summer. :pThis is a very friendly and safe community. I see children running around occasionally without a care because theres not a chance anything could happen. The neighbors are all friends and willing to help each other out. I feel completely safe here. Having moved from the city, safety is very important to me.Yes, there are bugs. Every place with foliage is going to have bugs. To combat this the apartment offers free big exterminations every Tuesday and Thursday - very convenient and kind. But always be prepared to deal with one or two little creepy crawlers here and there.Animals are welcome here! It can be a bit pricey but nothing someone living in the heart of Silicon Valley wouldnt expect.If youre finding yourself reading endless reviews like I did, just schedule a tour. The worst that can happen is you dont live here.

Great experience living here. And staff at leasing office are very nice. Services are always in time. The only problem is that the weeder always works at noon and too noisy to take a nap.

Ive lived in Avalon Mountain View a little over a year now and really enjoy the staff and location. The grounds are kept clean, the staff is very accommodating and responsive, and most importantly, friendly! My fiancé and I have utilized the gym, pool, and even reserved the available private BBQ area for personal celebrations. It has been a smooth transition since we moved from OC! I would highly recommend anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep to explore these cozy villas. And best of all, its a short ten minute walk to downtown!

I have lived at Avalon Mountain View for one year and just signed a lease for an additional year. The staff here is friendly (Yesenia and Gio are rock stars), quick to respond, and super helpful. The grounds are kept clean, the amenities (pool, gym, grilling area) are fantastic, and the location cant be beat- 10 minute walk to downtown Mountain View. Their online portal makes it easy to view your bills and submit service requests, which are answered within minutes at times. One con: the package room is in the front office so you can only get packages within office hours though standard mail is outside and accessible any time.

We have been living at this community for several years and love the place! Walking distance to Castro St., Caltrain, El Camino Real and several local parks. Washer / dryer in every apt. Quiet, clean and comfy. Kids and pets friendly. Both office and maintenance staff are extremely friendly and accommodating in every possible way. Recently renovated and replaced with brand new widows. Definitely recommend!

I stayed about one and a half years @ Avlalon apartments. My stay was very pleasant. It was great to see Marlena, George and Ed with a smile. They took care of any maintenanace issues promptly. I liked the rustic and open nature of these apartments. They are in a residential area. landscaping is well planned. I had to move before my lease expired. Zobair and Caitlin worked hard to provide me the flexibility to adjust the move out dates. I really appreciate this a lot. I will move back here again if i had an opportunity. I wish all the staff the best.Kris

This apartment complex is a magnet for sex offenders. Right now, there are at least two registered sex offenders living in the complex. I sometimes seem them hanging out by the pool. Im disappointed that the management does not do background checks on tenants.

Theyre a bit draconian in their policies but if you dont do anything unusual I guess its okay.EDIT: Actually, theyre really draconian. Trying to charge us for normal wear and tear? Okay. >.>
