SAVED OUR FAMILY VACATION!!!!I bought my boat to Lake Norman for a two week vacation. The engine started overheating on day 3 (a bad impeller). Advanced Marine took my boat the next morning and the boat was fixed within 3 hours —- and we were back on the Lake. The guys were great and went out of their way to fix the boat quickly so we could get the most out of our vacation (other places couldn’t even look at it for a week). Top quality service and quality!
We were on vacation at Lake Norman (first time ever coming here) and got a tow rope caught up in our jet ski. It was bound so far in the front that it could not be removed without pulling the pump. Called several places and they said they were way too busy to even consider working it in. Called Advanced Marine Service and told them the situation and they said to bring it in and they’d do all they could to help out. Dropped it off that afternoon and they called the next morning and said it was ready to go. Service people worked several hours of overtime to repair it the evening it was dropped off and we were able to enjoy the last 2 days of vacation with it. Very appreciative of their consideration of our situation and the willingness to help out.
You can trust these guys. They do good work and will answer your questions. They charge a fair price and are up front about prices. I drive from Shelby to take my boats here because its hard to find someone you can trust in the boat repair business.
Had an older motor that no one would work on. They picked up the boat and had the repairs done before they estimated. While working, they found a few issues and notified me of them. I had them fix one of the issues that I felt was outside my abilities but understood that I would be doing the rest. I feel I was charged a fair price. Brad even called and followed up to see if I was satisfied with the work. I do not leave reviews unless I feel the service was excellent and it was.
They did a great job with follow up and keeping me updated during a major engine repair on my Supra. Completed everything in a reasonable time. I will definitely use them in the future.
Always courteous and professional. Able to come to us and get us back on the water in a timely manner. A pleasure to work with.
First off Jerralin is not my mom .Second I did post pictures of me on the ski on fb. Having a great time. Assuming you seen that from a certain somebody that works next-door because I’m private and have 40 friends. The ski works good and still does.Never complained about the repair. it was how you never called me with a estimate like I was told before I decided to have you do it . I Just got a total after the work was done. You guys even seemed nice but that’s the hussle of small time mechanic shops. You are what gives small shops a bad name. Should’ve went somewhere reputable. This is why people are weary

I, typically, do not write reviews because I rarely encounter exceptional service. Let me start by saying that I acquired a boat from a relative and was informed that it needed to be winterized. I started calling numerous marine servicing companies within an hour radius. I was constantly being told that the company didn’t service boats that were as old as mine (20 yrs) or the company wasn’t accepting new customers. I’d also like to add that the tone of the people in which I spoke with were not pleasant and very short on the phone. Absolutely no help when I would ask if they knew of a place that might service it. I, finally, happened to call this place. This was the only company that said they could service my boat. I learned I was talking to Patty. She was exceptional!! I explained what my situation was and that I was clueless about boats. Patty was so friendly, professional and patient with me. She explained everything to me and I made arrangements to drop off my boat. Upon my arrival, people greeted me with a smile and to my surprise, helped with detaching the boat from my vehicle! Let me also say, I am very analytical and ask a lot of questions. I was very impressed with their customer service. When I asked a question that Patty couldn’t answer, she immediately brought others over that could answer them. I could not believe the exceptional customer service!! Throughout my experience after dropping off my boat, I was continued to be impressed. I received follow-up calls that included estimates I requested about additional services. My boat was done on time and the price was exactly in the ballpark estimate!! That is very rare, in my experience, with the servicing industry! Lastly, when I arrived to pick up my boat, I received the same assistance with getting my boat attached to my vehicle! I would definitely recommend Advanced Marine Service to anyone seeking marine service and repair!! I definitely plan to continue to take my boat to them for everything!
We are so happy with Brad and Advanced Marine Service. We had major engine issues and they were able to repair the engine and even fixed our fuel issues quickly. They were reasonably priced and professional. We will recommend them to everyone!

I had issues the past 2 years with my SeaRay Sundance 260. Trim tabs didn’t respond, boat was sluggish and couldn’t get it on a plane. Frustrating. Brad picked up the boat out of the water, power washed the hull, replaced motor trim sending unit and tuned up the boat. He delivered it back to my home dock when I was away. Took it out this afternoon and thought I was driving a new boat. Awesome job Brad! Boat responded like it hasn’t in years, even the auto trim did what it’s supposed to do. You brought back pleasure to boating for me. Highly recommend Brad for your boat service!
Boat maintenance and repair can be tricky! The people at Advanced Marine Service are genuine and hardworking. Being a small business owner these days is a challenge, but Brad and his crew do an admirable job of navigating those tricky waters...pun intended! haha!
I had my boat at 2 different shops since March and spent almost $5000 on repairs with no solutions. Brad listened to what was going on and he got to the root of my issue. My boat has been running like brand new for a month now! And he didn’t charge me near as much as the previous shops did. I was extremely pleased when he walked me through the issue and took me out on the boat to show me it was fixed. It’s hard to find a great family owned place but I’m happy I did. I find it extremely hard to believe these other reviews that just happened to be left on the same day. And it’s sad to see a great guy receiving so much negative feedback by people who seem to be on a smear campaign. Advanced thank you for your dedication.

Over charged and paid for parts and services that were not installed or done.. Asked for an itemized list of what was done.Had to take my cabin cruiser to another repair shop to make engine repairs to find out that what Advance claimed the parts were replaced were not.Not saying they dont know what they are doing. I am saying that they dont do what they claim they did.SHADY would be a good description compared to what they actually deserve .CONSUMERS BEWARE

(Owners responses is false and has me mixed up with someone else. Never got any info from them when I dropped off that’s why they were suppose to call)Dropped my jetski off wendsday morning I was told I would be called when Brad got back. They were suppose to look and call with estimate before working on it. Never received a phone call until Friday saying it was ready and wanted payment. More than I wanted to spend. I should of just done it myself. All I wanted is a phone call for how much before they start.Sad, I thought I found a cool place for work.
My son wrecked my boat into the dock causing damage. I needed to file a claim with my insurance (Geico) which usually is a pain. These guys made it simple and handled everything with the adjuster. After the repairs they installed a new radio and wake tower. Very please!
Advanced Marine diagnosed my muskrat damage, gave me a fair estimate, fixed the boat as discussed and also serviced the motor. Treated me with respect and returned boat on agreed upon date. Very pleased with the service.
I call advanced to check out my boat, didnt start. When he arrived he seen that I had water in the fuel filter. He said that I had a fuel line thats broken. He picked it up and called me 2 days later and said he found the fuel line leak. He said it took him 15 hours labor, plus tow, parts, and the bill came out over $1900. I maybe wrong but you can rebuild a engine in that time. I thought it was expensive and got ripped off.
Last Sat. 4/11 while we were out on LKN, all of the guages on our boat stopped working. We were able to get back to our dock without issue and then put in a call to Brad @ Advanced to setup an appointment to fix the issue. The appt was set for Sat 4/18 at noon and Brad arrived right on time. He was able to isolate the issue to a poor connection in the dashboard wiring. A secondary, but equally critical issue with the serpentine belt not riding correctly was also fixed on this visit. Brad was not aware of this one per our connversations, but went right to work on it and had it tracking perfect. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and he willl be returning next week to replace the worn out belt and the water impeller for the generator. Advanced Marine has the know how to make boating safe and without issue for us!!!!!!!Thanks - Rick and Lisa with our Sea Ray Sundancer

If you say youll give an estimate prior to doing the work, than thats what should happen! You dont do the work without consent, and than charge the person! Its theft from the very people who keep you in business....very sad this is how your business is ran..
Brad and his team are hands down one of the best in the area. From the basic winterizing service to major repairs these guys get the work done the right way! True professional and highly knowledgeable in his line of work. Highly recommend these guys!
Brad came out to our dock; was professional, on-time and most importantly got our jet ski up and running. They did a great job and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! They come to you-that is a BIG DEAL and saves a lot of hassle and waiting with other repair options on the lake.
I can’t warn enough about how non reputable this company is. Not only did they put the wrong color for a gel coat/fiberglass repair (dark gray vs black) on our jet skis BUT also found that the stole a fuse. This resulted in us having to replace & have secondary repair. Where it was located, it took effort for them to get it out...very disappointing.
