I took my 16 year old son with ASD with me to get a pedicure.. NINA started him 15 min after I had gotten started. I selected the Deluxe because of Sensory stimulation.How about Nina rushed his experience and he was done before I was. This pedicure is supposed to last 40 min and I paid 45 dollars. I hate when people take advantage of children or people with disabilities. I made a complaint and she says everybody does things differently. Refusing to speak English. I can’t believe the level of disrespect my child experienced today.. 🧩

Bad attitude, BAD COSTUMERS SERVICES started by the owner or the boss who does not know apologies when someone places a complaint the employees do what they want. HORRIBLE I do not recommend it at all do not waste your time.

Ive been going to Vans for a few years now. I decided to try someone new for my eyebrow wax. I WILL NEVER GO TO IVY AGAIN. I was highly disappointed. I did not come at closing time, so I dont understand why she rushed through it. She also put too much wax and I ended up with light burns. She gave my eyebrows a completely different shape. I was so afraid that would happen. She put neosporin on them. I have never had anyone do that. Ridiculous. She also was not friendly. Nor did she greet me. Ive worked in customer service before. Im not saying you have to be so cheerful, but dont have an attitude. I recommend Trish for eyebrow waxing. She does an amazing job!

Bad experience nail look like shave ice. Nail tech need more training

The tech cut my cuticle with the drill. I was bleeding. he was very rough. way too crowded. seems they are more concerned with getting everyone in the seat instead of quality of work. I have bubbles in my polish. acrylic overlapping onto my skin. will never ho back.

Absolutely no class. Very rude and disorganized. I was rendered manicure and pedicure services. It was performed as rush job, very painful. When I stated that hi was hurting, I was ignored. Then when it was time to pay, I was billed for services I hadn’t received. Upon my telling them I didn’t receive the services. I was yelled at by the matriarch of the salon. She came into my face, waving her hands and telling me to get out… the attendant at the desk was very apologetic about the whole thing but the elderly woman was disgusting. The clean up after the services was poor as well. I left there feeling very unpleased. When I looked through Yelp, I realized that most of the reviews were terrible. Had I looked there first, I would not have patronized such a place.beware!!!

Van is the friendliest, outgoing, and loving person in all of Aventura! Van always makes me feel like I was sitting in the living room of her home, not her business. Van treats her customers like family and all of us love Van, her family and the other ladies who work there. Van always looks out for everyone else. Van is capable of taling care of many people. I love Van and her family! They all do terrific work, very professional and clean. I am always able to get an appointment not like other places . I recommend going to Van’s Nails if you are looking for a permanent home like me!

I decided to give this place another try because i was running late 7:28pm and most nail places close at 7:30pm or 8pm the latest and i desperately needed a manicure. I walked in exactly at 7:28pm and they said they close at 7:30. No one was willing to take me but when i was walking back out the door, a nail tech named Cindy said she would take me. She was very nice and didnt rush through my mani/pedi. She took her time and we were the last ones to walk out. I definitely tipped her for her work and staying late for me and will be coming back to see Ms.Cindy. thank you so much. Im glad i decided to give this place a second chance. If you want quality, ask for Cindy.

Only been here once and Love this salon. I was in and out. I broke my toe nail and the tech was able to fix it and have my toes looking brand new.

This place does ok eyebrows, but horrible nails. I had the worst experience there last week.1st: The guy doing my nails started to glue them on crooked. after I told him they were crooked he argued with me and became upset.2nd: He was filing my nails super hard, as if he was pissed off.3rd: They all you too pay before they polish your nails and I truly believe its because that determines how they will polish your nails4th: My polish job looks as if a child did it, its so bad that Im going to have to pay some one take the polish off and redo it.Moral of the story...... Just get your eyebrows, and lashes done and go to a real nail salon for you nails and feet!

Eyebrows tinting prices are good. Dont go to Tammy for your eyebrows tinting, she speaks no English and does not do what you ask. Was super disappointed when she did my brows. My friend had a good experience with a different tech. Customer service is not that great.

I was a loyal customers here for years however the service started lacking once it started getting too popular. They started rushing to do your nails to get to the next person not caring about the quality. All in all I personally never had arguments with anyone there. I switched to another nail place because of the poor serviceUpdate: Went here May 25th 2018 because my go to nail place University Nails was packed. A girl names Sofia did a wonderful job on my nails. She was so gentle and amazing. In addition she did my eyebrows just the way I like them so upgrading my review from 3 stars to 5 stars

I got my eyebrows done here back in December 2017. The results were excellent {as shown in my picture here}. The cosmetologist there arched my eyebrows (by waxing them) and did brown tinting; she recommended brown based on my skin. I knew the first time I saw their work that it was a win. The first time I saw their work, it was when I was inside a convenience store the someone walked in which had her eyebrows done there. I gravitated towards her, complimenting her, and asking about what services she got done. She told me that she got her eyebrows arched and tinted at Vans Nails in Miramar. I was so impressed that later in the same year I went and got the same service for myself. The only down side for me is how far it is from where I resided. I definitely want to go back soon!I got my skincare (specialized facials) done at Aventura Aesthetics along West Dixie Highway. I strongly recommend getting treatment on your face there. It is the only thing I did for my face then and I did not take the picture professionally.

Just left and all I can say is impressed! I am huge on customer service and I got it from my first step in the door. I am visiting from out of town, so I didnt know if this would be the place for me, but the reviews were great, so I thought Id check it out. I was greeted by every employee in sight, asked how I could be helped, and then assured that I could be. I had to wait but that gave me time to decide on color 🙂 I was also reassured several times that it would be just a little longer (although I wasnt in a hurry, I truly appreciated not being ignored!). Through the process of getting my nails done, I was treated wonderfully by . She was kind, gentle, never rushed or assumed I wanted something I didnt. She truly treated me with respect. Also when I went to wash my hands she gave me a warm towel to dry them off with, so nice. Ive never had that before! She had also offered me a drink when we say down, so many nice things, I just cant remember them all! Please go see them!! 🙂 great prices, great people!!🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

On vacation, a friend brought me to this location because he said his wife comes here. I should have followed my first mind and requested a mere polish change for my feet; but it was a big place that looked decent enough to get a mani & pedi. BIG MISTAKE.The lady that serviced me was pleasant. We made small talk about Chicago & my vacation. As she went though the process of the manicure, Im thinking When is she going to start? It was like no manicure Ive ever had ... and never want again! There wasnt any cuticle care, and then she took out the drill and went across each of my nails! I was mortified! I get a natural manicure for the very reason that I dont want my nail & nail bed butchered by the drill and that unnatural process & she somehow incorporated that into a natural manicure!! There was very little soaking in warm sudsy water (the water was barely warm with no liquid soap & it barely covered my fingertips and my fingers rested in the water less than 30 secs??)What happened to nail techs using a nail file, clippers, cuticle pusher, nail buffer?! Finally, she didnt massage or moisturize my hands before applying the nail polish. It was honestly THE WORST MANICURE, I have ever had. I dont think she knew what she was doing. Being that I knew I would never set foot back in this place, I didnt complain; but I knew I would Yelp!The pedicure was pretty much the same. Very basic like theyd read the steps on Wiki-how then didnt perform them! I received a basic polish not gel. So I didnt expect for the polish to last more than a few days on my nails. My pedi usually last a couple of weeks. When I tell you that my nails look like ISHT the next day chipped & peeling on both my fingers & toes!!Both services were outrageously priced for the poor service at $43. Then I tipped out of courtesy several more dollars. ( I really have to stop doing that. Tipping out of obligation, when the service is mediocre. But like I said, the nail tech was pleasant and the place looked decent, except her skills sucked terribly!) I would not recommend this place. If they cant do something as simple as a mani & pedi; I cringe to think how they would butcher other services. Not even recommended for a quick service such as polish change. Its not done throughly & no one has cash to waste. Im back in my hometown need to head to a decent salon.

This review is for the eyebrow specialist, Tina. She is the best. Shes patient, attentive and talented. Ive seen her install eyelashes and tint eyebrows too. Shes very good. As far as the nail services, they are okay, nothing different from any other typical nail shop.

Love this place. The staff is always friendly and they will always try to accommodate walk ins, even on a busy Saturday. My only wish is that their color selection was a little more varied, but they still have a pretty great spread. I usually get a gel manicure. As a huge plus, the owner always remembers me (and that I like dark nail colors) despite me being a sporadic client. That goes a long way in my book.

I cannot stand that place I wish they never made the update. I USED to LOVE VANS NAILS but now its nothing like it used to be. I dont like the way they conduct business they dont do what you ask. I feel as if they have something to say they should speak English not Vietnamese its disrespectful.

Very unprofessional,they will book an appointment and will not honor it, lie and ignore phone calls.. Over 10 years Of loyalty and still get treated poorly ! I was handled by the “manager” and he did not recommend any accommodations or anything, very disappointing

LOVE IT! The girl who did my nails- I think she was the owner- was SO friendly and sweet and funny! Did my nails exactly how I asked and really knew what she was doing, I didnt have to keep specifying what I was looking for because she gave me exactly what I wanted! Slightly pricier than the salon I go to in Marin but still very decent and VERY worth it. My acrylic full set with gel glitter . I will absolutely be coming back and recommending to friends.

Relaxing environment, great skill, helpful and they really go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I had a great experience. They did a great job of making sure it did not hurt and my nails look greatLove it here and worth the price.

I’m a regular customer. I come almost every week for eyebrow tinting and clean up and every other week for pedicures. But today will be my last day. They have too much favoritism with Customer’s allowing them to skip others who are waiting! My time and money is valuable and I won’t be pushed aside for less than 15 minute service! I guess I’m not as important!

Wonderful and relaxing experience here. Im not even from FL, but I definitely would stop by whenever Im in town.My nail technician didnt know much English, I did ask for a paraffin wax but I dont think she understood me or heard me? Its okay though! She still did a great job and all my needs were met within this pedicure, so Im kind of glad she didnt hear my paraffin wax request.TIP: Make an appointment rather than doing a walk-in.Comfy chairs, super relaxing, and unbeatable prices. Ladies and Gentlemen this is one of the best place to get your eyebrows and eyelashes done. As always the weekends are always pack. Please do not expect to be in and out during the weekend. Usually in and out is during the weekdays.

Ive been going to Vans since they had only one side. My before tech is Kristie (THE BEST) she never rushes always takes her time and if you dont like something or it may be out of place (in your opinion) she started over and fix to your liking. I never had a problem with her. My nail tech is Julie love her been going to her for over 3yrs never had a problem with her as well. Only thing they do need to upgrade the art for nail design. Other than that I wont trade these 2 ladies for nothing

Very fast yet clean and beautiful work. However they are a busy shop due to the eyebrow station which is bomb! Best time is mid day on a week day or early morning. Liz at station 1 is the sweetest thing

I just spent an hour and a half waiting to get my eyebrows done. Not an exaggeration - an hour and a half. I was told I was next and when I looked around, the person I was waiting for was tending to another client. When I inquiries why this was happening, I was told that they called my number several times and I didnt answer. This couldnt possibly have been true since I was sitting right next to the counter where the numbers were being called and heard nothing. I even got up several times to check during the hour and a half I waited. They missed my number and did. Nothing to make up for my time they wasted. I will never spend another dollar here. They are extremely unprofessional!

As I write this review, I am waiting for this place to be opened. They are suppose to be open at 11:00 am on Sunday. Online it says they are closed. The hours posted on their window says otherwise and so are the regulars standing outside. The hours for Sunday posted on the window says 11am-4:30pm.This is my FIRST time coming here. A extremely bad first impression. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone and I wont be coming back. This is disrespectful and disgraceful.But the people who usually run these places dont usually respect people; especially black people and their communities.If you like disrespect then please, by all means come here!

I had my nails and lashes done here. The lashes were great; however, within a week my nails were popping off like Lee Press On Nails. I will never get my nails done here again.

The people that work there are very rude and impatient. Bad customer service skills. Over priced for quality of work at times. Not all workers are bad but there are so many rude employees including managers, that they should be shut down to take courses in good customer service skills.

I decided to upgrade my experience from 1-star to 2-stars because Ana, who does eyebrows and lashes is amazing. Otherwise, Vans is horrible. They lack customer service and ownership. I asked if I could change the color of my polish because the polish looked cheap... After spending $80, I was advised it would be an additional $7 because I chose that color. Wow! You would lose a loyal customer over $7. Ive been going there since 2007 when they were doing waxing in the back of the shop. How soon they forget humble beginnings.

On 3/31/2015, Mimi the nail tech, cut my cuticles back to far that she drew blood on two fingers, stained my maxi skirt with acetone and caused me pain while cutting my toe nails. While I was getting a pedicure, Mimi put a bowl of acetone on my lap on top of a small towel to start the process of removing the shellac from my nails, i asked her about the side table, she said it was broken. When I lift my leg out of the water so she could work on it, some of the acetone spilled on my maxi skirt. I told her if the stain did not come out after I washed it I would be back the next day to be compensated for it.She then proceeded to pull on the cuticle of my big toe which cause me pain. She didnt even apologize when I flinched. I should have left at that point, because while she was performing my manicure and shellac. She cut the cuticle on fingers so far back, she drew blood on one and caused pain on another. Still no apologize, just go wash your hands - oh she did put some alcohol on it.I spoke with the manager, Mr. VAN as I paid for this bad service, showed him my skirt and spoke to him about my nails. I told him I would be back for compensation if the stain did not come out of my skirt. Well after washing the skirt, the stain did not come out. I return the next day just to be told by the owner, Mr. VAN that it was my fault my skirt was stained. You should not have moved, he said. This was not an expensive skirt. I purchased it at Kohls on sale, but it was as always, the principle. He offered to give me half of the value of the skirt, which I refused. Then told me to get out of the salon. After about 10 minutes of me saying I am not leaving without full compensation and him threatening me with calling the police. He finally gave me what I was asking and proceed to throw the damaged skirt on the floor. Mind you I may have raised my voice, but was always respectful. That will the first and last time I enter this establishment.

Every time I come here I’m always getting into arguments with who ever does my nails, it never fails. Customer service sucks! Don’t think you can bring your problems to the guy at the desk because he’s rude as well. For this to be the closet nail salon to my house I will gladly drive pass and take a further drive and go somewhere that actually cares about not just the customers but the quality of their work.

Not a bad place but some of the quality is lost with such quick service. The pedicure foot sinks need to be replaced. I think they look/are kind of old. The eyelashes are ok if you are into the thick-obviously fake kind of look. I used to get my lashes done here until I discovered silk/mink lashes. The prices for everything are about the same as most other places around here.

One unhealthy apple spoils the bunch. I was there today, I am 8 months pregnant and the lady that did my pedicure was rude and un-polite. I told the young man the front only because it was that bad. Almost like she was racist and ready for me to leave the store with her gestures and manners, even though I strolled in there needed a very relaxing pedicure, I got the opposite! Very disappointed!

Tips stick with one tech guys on the right as you enter the best techs there my guy is ethan however he doesnt do feet no more i guess so ask for his wife or lady behind him forgot her name majority of the eyebrow techs are good chances are you will be happy but prices have rise so i only go if im going somewhere special

I have been a customer since there was only one side. I came in today and the customer service was the worst. I wrote my name down to be serviced by Cindy because she was recommend to me. After my wife had a horrible experience I expressed my concern. Shortly after my name was called to be serviced by Cindy, she declined to do my nails because she said she did not like me. To my surprise i told her who I was and who recommended me and she stated I do not care I dont like you. Once I get in touch with the owners who I know so well, you better believe I will let them know and explain I will never return.

Terrible with a capital T! The woman at the front counter was extremely rude and seemed annoyed because I was asking questions. The woman who did my pedicure was rough and did not know what she was doing. The only positive thing about my experience was that it was clean and they were sanitary. My first and only time visiting this place.

Lash service: I was told Diane is not there, so I asked the girl if they have someone who is experienced in doing lashes and the receptionist indicated she did not know. So she set me with someone and the tech first started breaking out my lash when normally they use a liquid to remove them. After that she lost credibility with me. On top of that she used too much of the glue removal. I asked her to stop that I was not going to do that to myself (being her Guinea Pig). I asked the receptionist if there was someone who was more experienced she had me with one more tech who I spoke to and she did not understand English nor did she give any effort to figure out what I was saying. I was so done.

If I could give this place based on my interaction with the owner a lower then a 1 star I would.... Angel who did my nails was a angel she was very gentle very courteous I did have a cut on my finger she didnt hurt me at all. After waiting at the salon for over a Hr 20 min to hear my number get called for my lashes thats right by number. I was going to get up and leave when hanna said she would take me hanna did my lashes and feet. i was done with the lashes even after informing them the lashed were poking me in the eyes whish is a sign they where not glued all the way. Informed me to pinch then so the glue can evenly distribute. In which i did. I came home 2 hrs latter i am in the bathroom I stand up to look in the mirror and I see I am completely missing an eyelash and I didnt even notice that it was gone so I found it I was like its not a big deal Ill just go and you know they can reglue it back on or fix it I went to rub my face just like wiping some excess moisture from it making sure that nothing got on my other eyelash the other eyelash decided to fall off not completely but by chunks . so I was very upset I made my way over to the van nail salon on Miramar Parkway and Palm Avenue in Miramar Florida my interaction with the owner of the place but the owner and how he handles his customer service and his business one star not only did he hand me the wrong money .and then Im looking at him confused because I informed him I paid the transaction on Via credit card he ends up snatching the $15 out of my hands with no explanation. I begine to question him the amout it was for the full set ( which fell off off the same day) with gel and the pedi with gel. No words come out of his mouth. and then persists to put $22 in my hands when asking Im sorry sir I didnt pay in cash he informs me to leave did not even allow me a moment of any type of communication the moment I tried to inform him of something or ask a question just to keep my nerves calm because as a customer who just spent $108 I did a full set acrylic with gel and then a pedicure with gel and then my lashes. Only to have his products fall off. Yes i am going to be supper upset. But not once did I raise my voice not once was I rude to him but he felt the need to belittle me as a customer by throwing money into my hand and first of all it was the wrong amount and second of all not just once but twice but I made that transaction through my credit card there are processes and procedures in place for the payments to be returned on the card and you have an apple system setup in your store so how is it that you couldnt reverse the payment for my lashes. And others things as well. I have contacted my credit card unfortunately I cannot do anything as of yet due to the transaction is still pending but I have been in touch with a credit card company. Worst experience ever. I do not recomend this place what so ever. If the owner can not conduct his self as a professional. There is no hope for his techs then. It will soon fall apart.Nails ended up

Ladies who like to have a gel manicure please read.... As I have began to get gel nails I have done my homework and spent hours researching the difference between gel and acrylic and what Vans calls gel is really an acrylic marked gel which they then finish with a gel polish. Ladies do not pay these thieves for gel when you have gotten acrylic, the key difference is that acrylic ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS starts with a powder and liquid mixture always. Gel is a thick clear liquid that is applied to your nails and only hardens once the UV light is applied. Know the difference because this process is about $20 more at vans and they are going to make you pay the wrong price telling you that it is gel. Vans management I hope you read this because you are lying to your customers and I will be helping to educate them. Please remember me I came in today 9-28-16 paid $95 instead if $100 because I got what you wanted to call gel which was really acrylic well here you go I didnt cause a scene in the store but I will cause a scene here. I will be posting this on every website that has reviews for your store. When I asked for my money back you should have given it back now I will make sure anyone that reads reviews about your salon knows the truth. Hope that was worth my $20

The go-to nail salon in the area. Theres usually not a wait, decor and music are relaxing, prices are good, and quality if service is consistently great. I switched to this salon a couple years ago, and all of their technicians seem highly experienced and skilled.

Ive had eyebrow waxing and tenting done here several times and they do great work. I gave 3 stars only because I decided to get a full set of acrylics done and my nails are horrible. No shape, flat, & pricey.

Service is spectacular here. are perfectionists and take their time on each client even though they are very busy with their booked appointments. I got a gel mani and pedi and my sister got solar nails and a pedi done here-- both lasted for over 3 weeks, polish still intact. There are myriads of gel colors and solar acrylic powders to choose from. Trang always makes sure that you are happy with the end outcome and goes extra lengths to do so. If youre looking for quality top-notch service instead of a cheap nail fix, you get what you pay for! be sure to book an appointment here. I loved this place, but not because of the customer because that sucks, it’s because you become loyal to 1 or 2 ppl for years! I love Ivy & Tina for my lashes and eyebrows. Ivy is #2 and Tine is #17 BUT OMG FOR MY NAILS TECH, I WOULD ALWAYS GO TO ETHAN! BUT....Unfortunately, he’s no longer there and they told me he moved home. Well that was a lie! Ethan has his own shop, it’s called Lovely Nails in West Miramar. He was the only person at Vans I would let touch my hands. Because he had no problem fixing it, and that’s even if he had to! Ethan can POLISH YOU HEAR ME!? Well maybe you can’t LOL .I found him visiting another shop and the nail tech has beef with Vans so she told me where Ethan was! Yayyy me!! Customer service was less than subpar and My nail tech was very cold and pretty nonchalant but he did a beautiful job and completed a fill on short nails and paint in less than 10 mins! I was pleased.I recommended them for quick services but if you are looking to be pampered, look elsewhere.

Dec 6th 2017 I need my nails done for a special occasion and decided to go to vans nails. Walked in was greeted my a pleasant man and I told him I wanted a full set . I waited l15 minutes and was greeted by nail tech Linda . Told her I wanted coffin nails one design showed her a picture of what I wanted, she said no problem. She put the nails one and they where falling apart because, the glue wasn’t sticking so I had to point that issue out. 2# the nail was very thin I could bend them with the acrylic on not a good sign. Fail # 3 the shape of my nails was so wide and ugly looking I wanted to cry. #4 fail the polish was messy and # 5 fail she charged me 69.00. Never ever again .money was the issue .Two days later four nails fell off .pissed out these people are robbing you guys had to go to #1 nails where her redo my nails all together 120.00 dollars . I can’t never ever again.
