My sister and I toured Eitel with Michael a couple weeks ago. He was friendly, but did not provide us any brochures of floor plans or information about Eitel. We liked the building and apartments and they were offering a good price. Michael threw a bunch of numbers and dates at us and we asked that he send us all the info following the tour for us to review. We didnt hear from him so I followed up the next week only to find out hed been out of office. I asked Mary (who had answered the phone) to send me the info instead. After she provided a couple layouts I asked that she send me pictures since we didnt get to see the one we were interested in; Michael had mentioned many of the apartments had different finishes. We AGAIN did not hear from her and when I followed up a day later she was ALSO out of office. I forwarded my email to the only other address I had for them and its been weeks now and NOTHING. If this is how they communicate with people that theyre trying to impress/persuade to move into their building I cant imagine how they treat their tenants.

Had a great tour of four different floor plans which were all beautiful in their own way! Each apartment had characteristics which made them stand out - i.e. large private balconies, rustic-looking timber stairs in the lofted units, etc. I liked how they were not as cookie cutter as some of the other places Ive seen - a large reason why I was so excited to see them in person. Upon finishing up the tour, I was told I would receive an email with summaries of each floor plan I saw that day and application links to each. It has been a few days now and I still have not received anything from anyone... :( All of the other buildings Ive visited sent follow-up emails to me immediately after leaving the tours. It just makes you feel non-important. Its unfortunate because communication with the leasing office prior to the tour was easy and everyone I spoke to was very responsive! For this reason though, I would not rent an apartment here. I dont like feeling like just another number.

I visited Eitel last year for a scheduled tour. Before setting up an appointment, I had talked to a young man who I had informed that I have two cats, but was recommended by my doctor to get an emotional support dog that I could bring with me to work. The young man said he didnt see it as an issue, since they have a two pet policy, but if I had paperwork from my doctors they would approve it.I arrived to my appointment excited and hopeful that I had found a wonderful building nestled in Loring Park. Instead, I was greeted by a young woman who was incredibly rude and disinterested in me. Her first thing she said to be was No, we arent going to let you get an emotional support dog, so there isnt really a point in viewing an apartment, is there? I insisted that I still see an apartment, since I had taken time out of my day to go there. I was showed a tiny 1 BR that faced the park (gorgeous view), but the bedroom would barely be able to fit a Queen size bed, it was a hard pass for me.Overall, dont waste your time. Clearly, Im not the only one who has had less than favorable experiences here. Even visiting is a nightmare.

We loved living at Eitel! We lived in one of the two story lofts and always received compliments on how beautiful and unique it was. The views of Loring Park are great, and it is close to so many restaurants and events. Also, it is super dog friendly and surrounded by dog friendly amenities (dog park, Lakes & Legends, patios, etc.). The office and maintenance staff were always friendly and helpful. During COVID, Jana & team were very transparent and communicative with updated building policies, which we appreciated. Would recommend!

I have signed a special lease here for 7 months due to a special case. The person who showed me the room was Brandon, and he said this room will have reconstruction at the end of my lease. They will change my room to a 1B1B, and I cannot lease the room after my lease termed. So, I have one month left here, and the manager emailed me I can renew my lease if I like. Then I replayed her back saying we will not renew the lease. After one week later, she sent a form wanted me to sign for a more month lease. She said that I supposed to give a 60 days’ notice before my lease end, and I was not informed that they change their mind with the reconstruction. I called the office, and no one answer the phone. I went to the office and tried to see if there is any room to make things right. Jana is the manager who was very rude to me because I knocked on the door for three times. The manager said Brandon is no longer worked here, and verbal communication does not count. If I dont like it, I can find a attorney. I dont want to continue to live here because my wall where near the window has mold growing over, the closet door is falling apart, the dryer is too old to be use because it will takes me 180 minutes to dry my sweater, and the pipe is leaking from the upper neighbor. Although the pipe has been fixed, but they cut the bathroom wall and just leave it there for weeks no one is coming to seal it. I have submitted the work order to have them to fix those problems, but due to the COVID 19 no one is coming. I understand that people dont want to come, but no one is taking me seriously. The manager is no going to help me. I paid my rent on-time every time during COVID 19 with no excuses. But the management is letting me down. I hope everyone who is reading this will take my advice seriously. The apartment is great, but the management will let you down. They only sit in the office and chat in their phone, and they dont know that the nozzle does not work for a month until I email them. Please stay away from here. The price is too high, and you dont have to be here if you can.

Im a current resident. I had a few bad experiences but management They made mistakes in the past as people always do. I had to keep the conversation rolling to get anywhere to address issues. Luckily their new management staff is wonderful. Mattie, Tanner, Shannon, all work their butts off to try and catch this property back up to snuff. Its hard when youre constantly playing catch up from mistakes that werent even made by you but by a previous employee who is no longer with the company. And if I could give a S/O to the coolest maintenance crew around Ramsey is a boss and gets things fixed quickly. And the cleaning staff, Gary, is beyond friendly as well as works way too hard. Ive changed my review from 1 star to 5 because theyre doing their best and thats all you can do. I love living here. And you will too!

I have had a fantastic experience living at Eitel. The staff, management, and maintenance are all wonderful! The apartments are incredibly clean, and the entire complex is clean and safe. The underground parking is a huge perk, along with the numerous other amenities. I looked at many different apartments when moving to Minneapolis, but honestly none of them compared to Eitel, especially for the quality and size of the apartment for the price. The location is also great - you have all the perks of living downtown, but its not on a busy street so you dont get all the craziness of downtown living, such as the noise. I have never really had any issues living here - but they do take care of anything I need right away. I think the management went through some changes awhile back (hence the not so great reviews over the past few years...) but everything seems to be very settled now and has been nothing but improvements around the apartment. I would highly recommend checking out Eitel - and be sure to ask any questions you may have when you visit!

I just recently moved into the Eitel, and so far Ive been loving it. The management has been great at tending to any needs Ive had. They helped expedite my moving process, which made things go smoothly. I love the fitness center, yoga room, movie room, and sauna they have on site. Most of all, having a washer and dryer in the apartment is a great convenience. It certainly beats having to take time out of my day to go to a place thats out of the way. The apartment is sleek, spacious and has a great location. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great apartment with great amenities.

Have you ever seen the movie, “The Money Pit?” A man and his girlfriend set out to find their dream house, only to be plagued by shady deals and a home’s crumbling structure. The movie might have gotten three stars and ended happily, but Eitel would barely get one and ends in disaster. Don’t be the conned couple that falls for a smile and a propped up façade. Eitel is structurally and operationally a rental, real life money pit.

Ive lived in the Eitel Building for almost 2 years and love it. Not only is my apartment perfect for my dog and I, but the amenities are great and the staff is even better. Always helpful, prompt and direct, they are always there to lend a helping hand when needed. The rooftop patio is gorgeous, and the fact that Loring Kitchen & Bar is apart of the building doesnt hurt either. I was a co-hostess for a bridal shower organized at Eitel Apartments and spent a whole afternoon/evening around the buildings common areas and interacting with the employees on-site. This building is beautifully maintained - to the underground parking garage to the rooftop event space that easily held 20 attendees (could have doubled the guest suite and still been fine, honestly). The 7th floor skyclub (estimated to be at least 600/700 sq. ft of indoor space) we were able to privately reserve was spectacular for events with a huge kitchen island, ample outlets, ice maker, sink and with a private restroom right around the corner for guests. We had sliding glass doors that we could open/close depending on weather. This space would be a great amenity to have access to as a renter at Eitel. Not to mention, the beautiful and largest rooftop deck Ive seen in that neighborhood! The staff was so accommodating and sweet to every single guest - especially Bruce the concierge - some of the staff were even so helpful to stop by the event on their day off to make sure we had everything we needed. Lastly, we had really great interactions with the tenants as we shared the outdoor space and in the elevators. If that was a good sample of the type of neighbors you would have, it seems like a great place to live.

Im not one for reviews, but this one is necessary. Throughout my wife and Is time at Eitel it was nothing less than horrid. For starters, they switched management the day before our move-in date with no prior warning or communication and would go on to have 2 property managers and receptionist quit in the year we there. It blows my mind how an organization can care so little about its tenants. Absolutely unfathomable. From accidentally double charging us for rent, to stealing $250 from our housing deposit without explanation, Eitel apartments and Greystar Management are the most unprofessional organizations Ive ever experienced. Dont bother trying to contact them. They dont return calls. They dont return emails. I honestly am confused at what they spend their time doing because its definitely not on the needs of the tenants. If they spent half the time worrying about the needs of the tenants that they spent on that hideous redesign theyd probably be able to scratch the surface of a having decent apartment complex to live in.To anyone interested, save yourself and your wallet...go anywhere but here.

If you are thinking about living at Eitel, I urge you to reconsider and save your money and time. This building’s property management is horrendous.Elevators are broken down for weeks, workers servicing the buildings go in an out of unlocked units as they please, they are taking away the amenities (including putting a card swiper on the lobby coffee machine), they frequently overcharge on rent “on accident”, they lose packages, and they don’t answer maintenance requests or any request for that matter. The way they handled my lease was at best idiotic, at worst fraudulent. Also, beware of the “concierge” who has the master key to all the apartments. He is a volunteer and not even employed or background checked by the management company. There was a time when this building was managed better, but in the last 6 months there have been three cycles of turnover. No one from Greystar is competent or aware of what is going on, and asking for help or improvement gets you nowhere. I was thrilled when my lease expired. If you decide to live here, you’ll soon come to wish you hadn’t.

Mice everywhere! My apartment is infested with mice. Ive trapped or killed at least 7 mice. Ive discovered a mouse in my bed! I still have nightmares. The building manager said sorry and Elin at the corporate office was equally as unconcerned. They called a pest control company to put poison and traps through out my apartment. Despite this Ive still discovered mouse droppings through out my apartment. While they did offer to place me in a different apartment, the pest control company, informed me the infestation is building wide Moreover, the building hasnt had consistent front desk help for months and exterior doors are often left unsecured. The garbage dump is located inside the building and in the summer the snell can be overwhelming to me. Between the mice, smell and poor service Im leaving and warn others about this building. One can only assume it will get worse, whats next, roaches?

Terrible management company. The building is poorly maintained – the hot water doesn’t work well, the elevators break all the time, the fire alarms go off frequently, the amenities are often broken or unusable, and the garden area walkway has deteriorated to the point that it’s unsafe and has been that way for over a year. There are frequent billing issues. They double charged everyone for rent one month. They randomly added a new utility charge for all residents to start paying. Greystar coordinates the billing for two of the utilities – they struggled to get the bills right for a long time and then sent an invoice for a whole years’ worth of charges.Good luck contacting them about anything. They don’t often pick up the phone, and emails often go unanswered. There’s a resident portal where you can post things, but if you post a question or a concern, they’ll take it down because, as they told me, “they don’t want negative feedback.”Talking to them in person is worse. Usually they’re out showing the place to prospective tenants and you have to stop by all day until someone’s finally there, and then when you do get to talk to someone, they blame you for any issues and claim that the lease contract gives them the right to do anything they want.Actually, this is true – they put a clause in their leases stating that they can change anything about the lease during the term of the lease. Seriously. They could double your rent a month after moving in. They said this is a common business practice and they see nothing wrong with it. This alone should make you wary of them. They’re also terrible about communicating with residents. As an example, they once reprogrammed all the doors to the building so everyone had to get new key fobs. The problem is that they made very little effort to notify people of this. On the day they did the reprogramming, tons of residents were suddenly locked out. The management company sent an email later that basically said “Sorry we’re not very good at communication. We’ll try to get better.” They didn’t.When we gave them our official notice of our move-out date, we asked if there was anything we should know about moving out, turning in keys, etc. They didn’t respond. We checked with them again as we got closer to our move-out date, and they said there wasn’t anything we needed to know. Then, they completely wreaked havoc on the day of our move because apparently we weren’t doing it to their specifications.Do not live here. If Sonya responds to ask me to contact her directly with these concerns, you should know that we did contact management about some of these concerns while we lived there, and we were met with rudeness, hostility, and unhelpfulness.

Eitel Apartments is owned by BlackRock, an investment firm that manages trillions in assets across the globe. Among many things, they are the largest shareholder in two American gun manufacturers - Sturm, Ruger & Co. and American Outdoor Brand. BlackRock’s assets reach far and wide - do your own research - but know that real estate is hardly their strength or specialty. With that information, be aware that living at Eitel is not “living the life of luxury” as their marketing suggests. Instead you’re just an opportunity for BlackRock to add maximum value to the their portfolio of assets at a very minimal expense. I am not against the idea of making money on property you own, but know that you will get nothing in return for your monthly rent payment, especially a decent living experience.Greystar, the current property management company (and 3rd property management company BlackRock paraded through the leasing offices in the short couple of years I lived there - a nightmare for another review) will try to woo you with the fancy lobby/rooftop remodel and amenities, but don’t fall for it. I’ll be the first to say - having a locked closet for resident packages is hardly a groundbreaking amenity at this point in this type of rental. In reality, the entire building is just a veneer of new cheap Ikea-style furniture, Crate & Barrel nick nacks and fresh paint coating underlying foundational/mechanical problems and utilities that are old and failing. Hot water access, non-functioning elevators, false fire alarms, non-staffed concierge, building access issues for tenants and non-tenant intruders alike were some of the frequent failures that were rarely addressed with a sense of urgency or completely solved. You’d think paying $1,600/mo. would be enough to avoid these types of issues so regularly. It’s not. You’d think Eitel/Greystar would try to live up to their “live the life of luxury” marketing schtick. They don’t.My advice? You can easily find newer, better run properties in Minneapolis in the same price range.

Rent at Eitel if you: enjoy very poor resident service, complements of Greystar management & Patrick Godsill. They roll out the red carpet on your tour but ignore you once youre into the lease. The hallways are dirty and avoid any rooms next to the trash closets. It takes days to have maintenance respond to inquiries. The area can get pretty sketchy at night thanks to the near-by section 8 housing. Your packages will sit out on a table for anyone to grab and I have found homeless people sleeping in the sky deck. The only amenity is a 3 person hot tub that gets lukewarm at best.Lastly, lock your car if youre in the garage. There have been numerous break ins and lack security cameras. The receptionist and cleaning staff are great, but avoid this apartment at all costs.Update: Took a client relations issue to the Regional Manager Jeffrey Flake. He was extremely rude and unprofessional to a point where it is only laughable. I am amazed at the poor service provided by Greystar. Glad to be done with this whole ordeal soon. May God help you if you have to deal with Pat or Jeff.

Thank you to Greystar management for ruining my years of living at Eitel. They lack serious competence when it comes to ownership. Rent at Eitel if you want your stuff stolen, car broken in to, no hot water, elevators always being broken, no response to emails and calls from management (when they do return messages it was 1 week or more later-dont be in a rush for anything), smell of trash (trash is in the building in a loading dock-summer is the worst when the trash was up-yuck), lack of concierge (even though they advertise it), garage doors dont work properly so any Joe Shmoe off the street can walk in and steal your bike and break into your car, packages just sit out for hours for all to see and steal in the lobby until someone from management decides to check them in (once I watched them sit for 7 hours-even though Greystar employees are in an office five feet away), no one in the area picks up after their dogs, I could go on but I wont you get the idea. Greystar management at Eitel lacks serious professionalism. Spend your money elsewhere, where tenants are actually smiled at. Eitel just seems like the bottom ring on the ladder in the Mpls apartment world.
