I love this management company. This is by far my best renting experience. The Keyrenter Salt Lake crew are super friendly and attentive and take care of anything I need and quickly. Also, the system they have in place for maintenance requests and paying rent is really nice! If I ever move, I am definitely going to stay in their property network.

I really enjoyed having Keyrenter Salt Lake as my property management. They were always quick to respond with any request and email that I sent in regarding the property. They seem to have struck a good balance between representing both tenant and landlord. Fairly priced and good service.

In my 25 years of renting apartments and houses I have never dealt with a property management that was so invasive of our privacy. We had inspections probably every 3 months which I have never ever had to deal with. Upon move out we were charged for pest control,to have the home re-keyed(completely ridiculous and tenant should never have to be charged for). They tried saying that our mailbox was damaged and charged us $160 as well as saying that our doors were damaged. Also they tried charging us for our smoke detectors $50 when there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I see that the only people on here giving them good reviews are people who own properties. I would never ever recommend this property management to anybody

They are complete garbage. They are terrible at communication and do not do things they have promised to do. We are owners of a house they were managing and the tenants often contacted us because key renter was not responding to them. They didn’t go look at our property to check how the house was doing or whether or not the tenants were taking care of the house. They told us they would send an outside picture (at least) monthly, in 4 years we received 1. We live out of state and should have fired them years ago, but when we finally did they said they wanted an interview with us to discuss the termination of their service and they never returned phone calls. If you own a house and need a management co to help with renting it DO NOT USE KEYRENTER.

They don’t give you clear answers to any questions I had. Gave me the run around for weeks. Know they never ran my application they refuse to refund the application fee. The infamous year of Twenty Twenty. It seems that most of us had some of the worst experiences of our lifetime during these months. This is true for me complete with family members, friends, a career, relative good health all disappearing into thin air for the foreseeable future.In the middle of this is Kelsey and Keyrenter. Rather than go the rational eviction route, they never brought it up.Keyrenter went the human route. Kelsey responded to my emails wanting to know how they could help. For more than a half year she and Keyrenter worked with me until I could get back to financial normalcy.Im not sure why this was their way of responding to my situation. A century ago this was a kind-understanding and natural response. In twenty twenty it is so abnormal and unexpected, to be understood and extended human curtsies by a business, it was hard to believe. This before government mandates or any talk of stimulus bills... This at a time of mass evictions and record homelessness. Personally, their help was an important grounding so that I could stand back up.

Been with Keyrenter SLC for about 6 years and its been one of the best business decisions weve made. Makes property ownership from afar an easy process. Ask for Andrea.

KR handles one of my properties and they do a good job. They are quick to let me know of issues. I have no worries about my property which allows me to be a hands off landlord.

Just moved from Miami to West Jordan and used Keyrenter in the process. I was able to receive appropriate and detailed instructions from start to finish along with Michelle going above and beyond to help. Glad I was able to do the entire process without having to speak to anyone face to face with the pandemic going on. My recommendation for improvement would be to respond to residents in an adequate timeframe instead of us having to reach out to you. Second recommendation would be to pay more attention to the move in inspection notes regarding the property as I personally had to request all items a second time as a maintenance request when I had already noted then down on the maintenance comment section of the inspection. 5/5 stars but overall pleased with the process.

Keyrenter and Andrea are the best! Ive worked with many Property management companies. Not one comes close to Andreas attention to detail and promptness with service claims.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience trying to apply to one of their rental properties. The leasing team was not helpful at all. I would not recommend renting a property here, they are a pain to work with. Im assuming they dont like college students because they showed no interest on having us rent a house by the University of Utah, as students.

Had some miscommunication at the start but once I was able to get a hold of Michelle she was amazing is helping my wife and I get into a new home.

Professional, high quality and wonderful customer service, I would give 10 stars if I could. I have not had any issues with Keyrenter in the last 2 years weve leased with them. They work well with our schedule for maintenance requests and are so responsive. They also go to bat with our HOA to make sure that even things outside of their contract with us get addressed. Couldnt recommend using their services more.

We have been working with Keyrenter for over a year now. They are a great support to tenants and have provided assistance and timely maintenance when we have needed it. I appreciate that they physically check in on their properties to make sure they are being taken care of and change the furnace filter at the same time. Their web site and mobile app are easy to use to request maintenance and make payments online. They also have a physical person available during business hours to ask questions and voice concerns.

Trust the bad reviews over the “good” reviews! Keyrenter does not care about their tenants, just accepting their money. You can be the greatest tenant and pay your bills on time, being a good neighbor, etc., but when you come across a conflict that they’ve created, they are nowhere to be found. They had me on hold for over half an hour to speak with the manager and then ended up hanging up on me. I called back and of course it was already after hours. I left the manager a voicemail kindly asking to call me back and they never did-this was over a month ago. Worst customer care I’ve ever encountered.

Luis took care of our problem urgently and was quick to respond to any emails and phone calls. Removed a lot of stress from the situation for us. Thank you.

I relocated to SLC end of 2019 for work. I have always been a home owner and had not dealt with a property management company before. I was concerned when I first started reading the requirements and costs of the lease that Keyrenter manages. I went to the office to talk to the staff and found them professional, friendly and very willing to talk through all of my concerns. They have been phenomenal to work with (even with my slightly odd landlords) and super supportive. Theyve dealt quickly and professionally with any maintenance requests. And as I said, both their office staff and their maintenance staff are very easy going and great to work with. I would not hesitate to rent one of their properties again.

Were new with keyrenter but so far they have been amazing and quick in responding! Theyre understanding and nice which makes doing business with them easy.

I have rented through Keyrenter Salt Lake city for about 1.5 years and my experience has been near to perfect. When ever I have a problem they fix it right away. They are very prompt and make everything super easy. Such as paying the rent, setting appointments for inspection, and for problems with the homes (everything is made available to do online). When I do need to talk to someone in office they are always so nice, upbeat and welcoming. They are very informative, when they have holidays and the office is closed they send emails and ways to contact someone in an emergency. I will definitely refer them to people I know.

Weve had a great experience renting from Keyrenter. We havent had any issues with privacy, and theyve been very responsive whenever weve had maintenance requests. Their property inspector is friendly and helpful, and always seems concerned that we have a house thats safe and where everythings in good working order. Since weve been here, weve had the front steps redone, new appliances put in, and a foundation leak fixed. The house is in fantastic shape, but its an older home with lots of character, so it needs regular TLC. Keyrenter and the homeowner have been great about helping us keep it up. I would definitely recommend Keyrenter for anyone looking to rent. Theyre professional and great to work with.

Just like any company we take the good and the so called bad and we make it work. my experience with keyrenter Salt Lake had its ups and downs but working with them for the last six years has been positive. I would recommend them to any land lord and tenant. I intend to invest in more properties in SLC, and keyrenter would be my choice of go to management company.

Awesome company, the best rental experience Ive had (and Ive had a lot). They were always there quickly when you needed them but allowed you your space and left you alone otherwise. Super nice people work here, more friendly than everywhere else. They were on the ball with maintenance requests, getting stuff fixed within hours sometimes. Dont hesitate to rent from/lease with these guys, you wont find a better rental company. 5 stars!

As I am reading the bad reviews, they are absolutely right.I had the same exact experience, paid $105 for application fees and was told no one else had applied for this home and then all of a sudden the home was rented to a different applicant! BUT YET! The home is still listed on every rental website. I emailed them and asked why my application was not considered and no response. BELIEVE the bad reviews because I didnt read through them and now Im out of some money and especially during this COVID crisis! Horrible experience.

Bottom line up front: I couldn’t be more impressed with Keyrenter in Salt Lake City. I have been a customer of Keyrenter for approximately 8 years. Initially they managed a rental property for me in Park City, but when the time came to sell the property, their product offering really began to shine. The entire team, led by Collin Hopkins, was professional, energetic and engaging. Our property required substantial repairs and renovations in order to achieve its maximum value. Collin and his team handled all aspects of the renovation, including negotiating with contractors, setting up install dates and following through on all the final details. As an out of town investor, I was particularly pleased with with the hands on approach, they applied to my property, eliminating the need for me to be present during the project. I would not hesitate, for a moment, to enthusiastically recommend Keyrenter, and Collin, for any investment property acquisition or management.

Absolutely TERRIBLE Company! Makes you pay a pet Application fee per pet on top of the fee for each adults to apply. I applied knowing I had less than the greatest credit, but called before hand to make sure there wasnt a big stack of other people interested in the same property. I was told we are the only ones. So I submitted the application as well as the $130 or so for all the fees, only to be denied the next day for information that no longer pertained to us. Denied the refund, even though they were dishonest, and said the very next day that they had multiple applications for the property. Will NEVER Recommend or do business with again!

Out of the many horrible incidents that have happened, I will share two on here:1: We paid for a pool key on our contract and Keyrenter took a YEAR to provide one to us after talking to them about it almost weekly. Their solution during that time? Ask neighbors to borrow their pool fob key. Unacceptable.2: During COVID, we were getting ready to move out and they reached out asking if someone could come and take pictures and give tours while we were still in the condo. We kindly told them no because not only were we self-quarantined, but I was 4 months pregnant and could not risk this. They continued to hassle us about this multiple times after we told them no the first time clearly not caring about the risk of my family.

Unbelievably responsive, get things taken care of right away, awesome system in place. Anyone looking to rent a place in the valley would do well to search specifically for Keyrenter rentals. When Im rich and own 500 properties, Im hiring Keyrenter to manage them:)

The apartments themselves are really good. The only issue Ive come across is maintenance not coming up with good solutions for fixes.

Weve had Keyrenter manage our rental for around 10 years now. Weve seen them grow quite a bit but the customer service and attention to detail have remained the same. If you enjoy the income of owning a rental but lack the same enthusiasm for juggling all the minutia that goes along with it, I would highly recommend Keyrenter who are excellent at that part.

It has been a great experience working with Keyrenter. We relocated from FL. We were unable to see the house in person before we moved but all the pictures they provided of the home made us feel confident with our rental choice. We were able to apply online and pay online which is very convenient for people who cant be there in person to apply for a rental home. Kristin and Jose were always quick to reply to our emails. The application process was easy and quick!

We have a home that we rent out. Before moving to Keyrenter we dealt with another rental management agency that basically caused nothing but problems for us and ended up costing us quite a bit of money. Since moving to Keyrenter we have been extremely happy. They keep us well informed of the condition of the property. We get monthly statements that are in depth and accurate. If the case rises that I need to call to ask a question about the property they are easy to contact and prompt in returning calls. They are a pleasure to talk to; the friendliest staff I have dealt with. When it was time to find a tenant, they were very proactive. A new tenant moved in within days of the old tenant moving out. I am confident that they are taking care of our house! The stress has been lifted. I would highly recommend them to others looking to rent out their property.

We have rented with Keyrenter for a few years now. They are easy to work with and we can pay the rent online. You can also submit maintenance requests online and renew lease agreements online as well. They also check in and do inspections from time to time to make sure that everything is in working order and that the filters etc are being replaced . Maintenance is always quick to respond if there is an issue and we have had a couple after hours where we have needed someone to respond. They are always quick to send someone and get the problem fixed. While I’m not a fan of some of the fees on top of the regular rent that get charged to maintain the account etc, I understand they are there and can appreciate they are for good reason because on the rare occasion when issues do arise we are promptly taken care of and it makes it worth while.

We love using Key Renter! Kristin has been key to the success of our rental properties. She is always on top of issues and has done everything with phenomenal class and professionalism! She definitely goes above and beyond for her customers and we couldnt be happier with our experience overall.

Weve worked with Kristin, Cathy and several others with Keyrenter Salt Lake and theyve all been awesome! We recently decided that we needed to move into a bigger place and searched on their website hoping to find something managed by them. Luckily we were able to! Many of the properties managed by them are pet friendly as well, which was a must for us. Weve had very few maintenance requests, but when we did, they were able to work with our schedules and do them at a time that was convenient for us.

I had previously left this 1-Star review below, but they did work hard to make sure that I was taken care of and got everything that I needed. Jennifer explained that she was alone for a lot during new management changes. As for the previous review, yes, it was not what it should have been. I had no problem while living there, though. They are doing everything they can to try to make things right and going above and beyond and for that, Im appreciative.I dont usually leave negative feedback, but at first, Keyrenter was great. Upon move-out, they claimed I left the house with damage, in which I had taken a video before I left to prove otherwise and have multiple witnesses to the contrary. I was told I would have to pay for it all. Once I told them that I had taken video of everything before I left, I have not heard one thing back about my deposit. They told me it would take 30 days from the time of move-out. It is now over 45 days. The landlords were selling the house and told me that I needed to get out. I wanted the walkthrough while I was there so that they couldnt claim anything, but Jennifer told me that she had it scheduled after I had left. Thats why I took pictures and videos. Without me there, they tried to claim much damage. Thank goodness for videos and pictures. I have been gone over 7 weeks now and am still receiving late notices, yard requirements, and I still have not received my deposit back, nor any communication back from my multiple emails. Very unprofessional! I would not recommend this rental agency at all!

Excellent place of business! I have been very busy with a new job, and so communication on my end was very difficult. I was able to text with Collin between my other engagements and still get the rental process done very quickly (less than a week!). I would definitely recommend doing business with them to anyone else.Editing this review:I just wanted to follow up on this. After a year of renting from KeyRenter, everything has gone very smoothly. Any time I have had an issue with the house (heater, dishwasher), they have always been quick to dispatch someone to help/solve the problem. They have also been excellent at following up companies that may have dropped the ball or changed schedules. Essentially, they have done all of the hard work any time Ive ever had a problem. Ive been renting through Keyrenter for the past 4 years. They have always been incredible helpful and accessible - via phone, email, web portal requests, and even text message! Anytime Ive had repairs - from something as large as a toilet leaking through the ceiling above + water coming out the bathroom fan to something as small as the toilet wouldnt stop running - they respond quickly and get a repairman out immediately. They have made renting a breeze. Also, I LOVE THAT I CAN PAY RENT ONLINE!

We worked with Julian and Danna from Keyrenter for our routine inspection this week. Communication from Danna was impeccable: she texted and emailed with plenty of warning and a concrete time frame for our inspection. Julian was prompt, professional, and polite. It isn’t always comfortable to have someone in your home inspecting it, but Julian was very respectful and it was a great experience.

Ive been renting from Keyrenter since October 2014 and I highly recommend them to anyone in the salt lake valley. Kristin Hacking is the person we are always in contact in. When we moved into our new apartment in May 2015, she made the process much easier and helped us out with any questions we might have. Im very happy with Keyrenter and would us them in the future if I were to ever move.

Brooke has been a pleasure to work with, and she has helped my wife and I with patience throughout the application, lease agreement review and execution, and move-in process. Dont apply unless you want it to be given to someone else after you were already approved. I am beyond dissatisfied with how they run things. We paid for our application and were approved, received the phone call that we were approved and even set up a move in date and that we had 24hrs to put in the deposit. 20 minutes later i received another phone call telling us they were sorry but someone put in a deposit for it already and we could not have it. In those 20 minutes when i thought i had a place to live i called another place and canceled my application. Im not quite sure how someone could have put in a deposit before we could since it was supposed to be first come first serve and we had been the first people to put in an applications. I am also very sure that our money was taken out of false pretenses due to the fact when i called him to express how upset i was he informed me that someone had applied for a different property and after being approved they decided it was not a good fit anymore and decided to take ours. We had put in the application Friday and according to Collin these people changed their minds Monday, and instead of calling us to inform us we would not get the apartment, our application was still run, our credit was still pulled AND we were told we were approved for it. Only to have someone else decide they wanted it instead. I am beyond upset and I cant believe this is how they do business.

Rented a house for 2 years from Keyrenter. During that time, response time was very slow. For example, our dishwasher was broken last year, and it took them months to fix it. The sprinkler system stopped working, and it took them all summer to fix it (just in time for us to move out). By that time, the grass was dead. Then they charged us hundreds of dollars for the dead lawn! Not only are they keeping our entire deposit, theyre charging us money on top of that! We offered a compromise settlement, and they didnt budge so I guess now were headed to small claims court. Such a stressful situation.If you must use Keyrenter, take lots of pictures when you move in, and assume that you wont get your deposit back. If there is a problem, be relentless, thats the only way they respond.

We had our home managed by Keyrenter Salt Lake for 5 years and they did a great job! We have worked with Nate and his team during that time. We appreciated the way they handled correspondence and took care of our home overall. Andrea, personally, oversaw our home during a time that was trying, as our tenant became difficult to deal with as far as having work and maintenance done on our home. It became a legal issue at some point, and Andrea persevered until we were able to come to a legal agreement between us and our tenants wherein they agreed to a move out date, allowing us access to our home and enabling us to finish the work that needed to be done. Andrea did not give up during this exhausting battle with our tenant, she was amazing, and we are so very grateful for her diligence and ongoing effort in our behalf. I would highly recommend Andrea to oversee your home!

We got a email and text a week in advance that Chris would be coming to do an biannual house inspection. At first we were very concerned cause we didn’t know anything about this, but nonetheless we worked with it. From the start Chris was very prompt and professional, he was able to meet our needs of providing us with a text an hour prior to his arrival to ensure we were home (we wanted to be home during the inspection) and explained to us what to expect. Upon arrival, he was very respectful in the sense that he took off his shoes, cause we try our best not to wear shoes on the carpet. So big thumbs up on that part. Chris was super quick, maybe 10-15min most and we have a pretty large townhome. We let him know of the issues in the home that we wanted fix and he was able to let us know when it should be fixed. Overall, positive & professional experience with Chris.

Weve rented from KeyRenter for two years and they have been an excellent management agency. Everything is handled professionally, and they take great care of the properties and tenants. They have an online site which makes it easy to pay rent and file maintenance requests, and they work closely with the landlords to ensure that those are addressed quickly and that everything is satisfactory. They periodically inspect the properties to make sure that things are in order and to prepare the heating/cooling systems for the new seasons. Our manager, Lupe, has always been very responsive and helpful. Weve been very happy to have found Keyrenter, and our landlord through them.
