The website says these locations are open. THEY ARE ALL CLOSED!!!!!! WE DROVE UP THERE. AND YOU CAN NEVER REACH ANYONE BY TELEPHONE. They used to be nice.

Today at the end of that parking lot. (My car was across the street ) I witnessed a parked car with a group of 4 people. A man was punching a boy. After a couple of minutes everyone got in the car as if nothing happened. How shameful. I hope this boy will be okay. There really should be officers in that vicinity. Im sure there inside the building. Please take note. This boy was punched repeatedly.

I was the first one to get here at 8 am they already called 5 ppl in before me. I’m waiting on a cash worker...they only handle cash customers so why does it take this long for someone to call me in ...it is 8:40 and I still have not gotten called!Very poor customer service

This place is 50 tines greater than New Haven. I did all my business within a half hour. Keep up the good work

I have send my paper work with all the information require, they never got it send it 5 times already the close my case, this is the worst office, and all the information is right i was making sure of it, when u call they never awnser then why the give them phones. sometimes the awnser and they hang up becuass inhear people talking. nice work guys.

There has multiple phone calls in regards to making a report against a vulnerable adult. A Social Worker needs to come out and do an investigation with the elderly adult. It has been over two weeks and there has been nothing done. I will contact the office again. The situation is not bad where 911 needs to be called, however the vulnerable adult is being unsafe and needs to be evaluated for themselves and others safety. I am very disappointed that nobody from the office has reached back to me, especially after leaving several messages.

At This location I’ve noticed every time I come here, they have poor service. Everyone’s rude to you even security. They aren’t much help when trying to get the help you deserve and the wait times here are unbelievably long and excessive. It takes almost 3 hours to get your name called, it’s unbelievable. Every time I come here they only have 3 people who come out to call names for people to come in the back but they have a crowd of people in the lobby. This is ridiculous. They should have more workers because there’s always more people who come in and they are always busy, so wouldn’t it make sense? It’s not just this location that lacks all this it’s all locations but Middletown is the worse. If I were you I’d beware and take act on this review I wrote. I’m just saying is all.

My Sister-in-Law Robin G., goes to DSS on South Main Street in Middletown, CT and lives in deplorable conditions in her over-cluttered, mouse-infected apartment in Chester, CT, with not one clean glass or dish, and cooks only one TV dinner in an oven. Her DSS social worker visits Robin outside the apartment! Robin needs a new active social worker. Someone from DSS should tag along with Robins social workerto see what is going on!I have done social work for the State of Connecticut and we were alwaystold the the well-being of our clients is a reflection on us. Robin has beengetting sicker lately in her aparment. She is on oxygen 24/7 and looks almost anorexic when you see her. Maybe she is getting sick from all thedust or the mouse droppings? I dont know. What I do know is Robin needs a new active social worker. PLEASE!!!!!

Worst place ever.. are not helping people in need of help at all..just continue to lie and make false promises. i literally have hjad nop food stamps and my three kids and my husband n I have been starving. going to food pantries that supply u with old expired canned goods and rotten frozen meals on wheels that old people chose not to eat. then every other week one of my family members is going without health insurance. Then every time I go up there they lie, lie, lie and try to convince you that everything is being taken care of and they are working night and day with theirSupervisor on my case. meanwhile I think they are back there playing cards or going on facebook. My family is suffering every day, due to there incompetency. They are supposed to be helping people in need an instead they are hurting us. I have to take time off of my already low payin g job every single week to go up there and try to figure out what is going on n why`we are being ignored and my family starves and the little money I make has to go to medications they are supposed to be covering or food they ared supposed to be helping me get! If they cant do their job they need to hire more people and stop blaming stupid b.s. on computer *GLITCH*

Can never get threw to the toll free number or these numbers they both hang up on you after their long ass recordings. And than if you do get threw you are on hold up to 4 hrs or if you go to office you must take a day off of work. 👿

Rude, punitive and not at all helpful. Its been now almost two months and I still dont have my food stamps.I think they should be helpful not hurtful. They lie and treat the poor with complete disregard.Id be working but kidney failure chose me to be completely unable to work. I have been forced to be poor even with SRI which took me 8 months to get and thats with 8 months of doing dialysis.I have been forced to buy my food, using my SSI Benefits which could have been used to repair my vehicle to get to my dialysis appointments, instead I had to buy food with it. Middletown office should be closed.When they tell you it will be /*^ whatever or in so many days, their really saying its going to be months or not at all.I was told Id get $74 and at the beginning of the next month Id be getting $144 and none of this has happened yet.Like I say my SSI MONEY isnt going towards the bills I need, which I need to get to my dialysis but instead its going towards food, I have to spend over $350 to feed this kidney disease or I can die...They help but right now its just talk and nothing but talk.Useless as I have two days out of the week sick and recuperating them add the running around to suit them, for nothing.I pray that they take their jobs more seriously, because without them many will suffer more than they are already.They know this: and continue to break me down! Very sad for me as I am now struggling because I cant fix my vehicle or buyHoops to jump through and low monthly payments, unable to eat as doctors recommend for kidney failure and dialysis.Living on SSI, collecting $733 a month, after living expenses, I live on $120.00 a month, which goes towards fuel and propane for heat.Unable to work due to broken spine and the diseases, that comes with this disease!.Have to drive to dialysis therefore vehicle needs fuel and must run at all times. Three visits a week or every other day in dialysis or at doctors appointments.
