This is a second time with Enterprise that I didn’t get my rental on time. All those bad ratings are worthy. It is good to follow those bad ratings and make decisions. I thought they would keep their schedule this time but not at all. I was supposed to pick car at 11 and now while I’m writing this review it’s almost close to noon as you can see attachments. My earlier experience with enterprise is I never got my rental car that day. I don’t want the same situation to happen here but, good luck to me*****updates****OMG, I was super impressed by how I was dealt when I went to drop the car. Kate was an awesome customer service representative. I really love the way she dealt. I was absolutely frustrated by my earlier experience. But all my bad experience came to end by the way she dealt with me. Hope, all the other representatives do the same care to customers. It is my convenient location for car rental. I like to get them good rating and make good business.

I’m not very impressed with these guys so far. Last week in the storms my property took on some pretty severe damage. Including a large tree falling on my house and my main family vehicle which is a Ford transit. So the next day I have a tree company come out to start work on removing the tree so I can get my van free. It had minor damage but I was going to have it towed in just to be checked out didn’t figure it would be gone long. The tree company calls in a crane to remove the rest of the tree from the house cuz it was just too big to cut and drop.Long story short due to several issues the crane tips over and smashes up the van even more. So now I have there insurance authorizing us to get a rental vehicle in the same class. I’ve been calling Enterprise since Tuesday trying to get this worked out. They can’t find us a van, I’m now at a week without a family vehicle, I’m talking to them yesterday explaining the situation and the rude woman on the phone actually asks me so you guys are always together ? You have to have that type of vehicle?I own a transit because we are a large family, we do a lot of things and my kids are active in many activities. So yes we need a large vehicle. No one calls us back and updates us, can’t speak to the same person twice, doesn’t appear that they’re actually trying and on top of that asking rude ridiculous questions on the phone. Have some class, I’m not trying to be a pain, I want what we need while my stuff is being repaired in the shop that’s all, seems pretty cut and dry, they’re not working with me. I will not give them my business nor will I recommend them as they lack the professionalism and the skill to do their jobs effectively.

Requested a premium car to carry 3 people. Upon showing up - was upgraded to a SUV which was smaller than a midsize. We were not going to fit all our equipment and carry ons. Asked for something bigger - agent got a little snippy. Told her to work with us - which she ended up doing.Car we ended up with was fine - return was easy. But they change what you order and see what you will take.......

Worst service ever! Wish I had the option of giving zero stars. The day I am to pick up my rental I am told its not available. After calling the corporate office and every other car rental place with no luck, I get a call stating my rental is ready to pick up. When told I was notified earlier in the day it wasnt available I was told several times no one called me to inform me of that and the rental has been setting there all day. The woman there is the rudest!! Not sure who she is. I refused the rental and notified corporate of their unprofessional behavior and rudeness. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else, even if it costs more money.

Called to make a reservation for a vehicle to pick up on a Friday afternoon and return Sunday afternoon. There were NONE available. BUT, if I picked up Friday afternoon and returned Monday morning, there was availability! Trying to scam 1 freaking day out of me! DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED

There is a lady manager that is very rude, I booked in advanced, they call me a day before to still confirm my reservation I said yes, show up next morning was 5m late the manager lady said she done rented the economy car out now I gotta get a luxury car triple the price, she said supply and demand, so I paid triple the price save your self a headache recant at another location, this is the 2nd time this has happened at this location in Middletown like the lady manager has no like I’m not a kid don’t need talked down to I’m trying to do business

Ill continue to return here.Its a needy place and you might have to call several times to get what you want. For me I always want a Toyota. Always been simple dealing with them once I arrive.

We rented a truck from the Middletown Enterprise to get to a cabin we reserved for my birthday in Indiana. About an hour away from the cabin the truck started messing up.I called Enterprise because they closed in less than 40 minutes, they said nothing was reported from previous renters about the truck, I kept losing my signal so had to call back several times, only to be told if it continues either call in the morning, or call roadside. Finally arrived at the cabin after a long struggle to keep the truck going.I obviously called roadside & explained the situation because I didnt want to be stranded all night after barely making it to our destination, had planned to go into town & grab dinner & some things to make breakfast, instead we waited 2 hours for a tow to come get the truck & take my husband to get another vehicle. After waiting 2 hours I get a phone call from a tow company from Kentucky that he just got a call that we needed a pickup & ride along, & that he was an hour & a half away, by this time its 9pm weve been waiting since before 7pm, no dinner, stranded in the woods. Tow guy gets to us about 10:40pm & the branch he was going to take my husband for a replacement closed at 11pm therefore we were stranded with no vehicle, no dinner, no breakfast, & all I did was talk to roadside & corporate for the majority of my trip.I called the closest branch in Madison when I woke up & was told he was alone at the store & had no replacement for us, he made some calls & got us a vehicle & roadside sent us a link for an uber pickup the night before, got a message back telling us no ubers were available, did that 4 times. Called roadside back to let them know there obviously was no Uber or Lyft option where we were, so they told us to call local taxi companies & theyd see about maybe reimbursing us for the ride. Both taxi services were a good ways away & would either be $60 or $100. I called roadside again to let them know that taxis were out as both were too far & I had already explained we needed to be out of the cabin at 11am & we had no way to leave, as the closest branch was a 4.5 hour walk from the cabin. I called the Madison branch again & was told his guys should be back around 1 & he could send one after us then, so I took that offer.I called roadside again hoping they could figure something out, this roadside agent finally asked if anyone had offered to deliver a vehicle to us by tow truck, & nobody had even given the option. so he set that up, we waited on the cabin porch in the heat from 11am until 2:10pm after countless phone calls & nothing but aggravation during our whole trip. I called the Middletown store to explain we were still waiting for a replacement after being stranded since the evening before, & we were supposed to return our rental at 2:30 to which she said obviously we wouldnt make it in time & we could drop it off overnight with no issue because she was putting a note in our contract for that.So we get a truck finally & go into town to grab food for our 2+ hour ride home. I check my call logs & in less than 24 hours I had made & received over 40 phone calls from Enterprise, Roadside, & Enterprise corporate, so most of my supposed to have been relaxing getaway was me on the phone explaining the situation over & over. So much fun!fast forward to Saturday, I get my bill & am being charged an additional day, after being told that wouldnt happen.So needless to say I dont plan to depend on Enterprise for a rental ever again! & I dont suggest anyone else do so either. I will say that their customer service people are wonderful, & I adore Corey from AAA who brought us a truck finally, because the tow truck that came & got our truck the night before should have brought us a truck then, but that would have been too easy.

Some of the rudest people I’ve dealt with in a professional setting. Basically calling me a liar and didn’t believe I had a drivers license, because my current one is expired (which they said is fine) and I had a temporary motorcycle license that was current. I’m guessing she thought that since my drivers license was expired and my temp motorcycle license was up to date, that I no longer have a drivers license? We are allowed to have to use our driver’s license past the expiration due to Covid. She persisted to argue with me telling me that “they don’t give you a separate ID for a motorcycle, they just put an endorsement on the back of your drivers license.” That is completely false with a temp motorcycle license. They DO in fact give you a separate one for your temps. Not only that, if this lady had any common sense, all she had to do was look to see when my motorcycle license was issued and she would see that is was issued to me BEFORE my drivers license expired. This place is a joke.

I had an overall great experience with Enterprise in Middletown. Everyone was friendly and also quick to reply to several inquiries I encountered. I needed a car after being in a car accident, and Enterprise and the Collision center worked together to get my loaner all worked out. I highly recommend Enterprise!

We went to this office this morning to pick up our rental truck the supervisor by the name of tierra started off being nasty and told us we never called to reserve anything and they had nothing for us. We tried to show her our call log from Friday when we reserved it and show her when they called us Saturday to confirm but she said that wasnt their number and shoved a business card in my husbands face and told him to look at the computer screen, of course I went off after she did that to him, we called that very number and it rang in the office and tierra quickly hung it up. I will never recommend them to anyone and if they dont do something about tierra they will continue to receive bad reviews and no business. We ended up going to hurtz and received great service

A great experience all around. I rented an Intermediate SUV for a family trip to FL and they provided me with a brand new Mitsubishi Outlander. The staff was knowledgeable and very polite. Reserving the car online was quick and easy. Highly recommended.

I had to rent a car for 1 day business trip. The Enterprise assistant helped me check out the car and was very helpful and courteous. When I turned the car back in, a different assistant was there to help me, and they were friendly as well. The rental process went very smoothly.

Ahhhhh, Where do I begin? I went to rent a car at the Middletown location (the sales rep was nice enough) and emphasized that their location was the only car rental in the area... Last week, upon check in, it was in the 40 degree temperature, and the companys COVID policy requires that the reps come outside and make their customers stand out in the elements, while registering, signing in, processing your payment, etc. We both had on masks, but that wasnt enough. My suggestion is to limit the amount of customers inside- not service them outside! To add insult to injury, when I returned the car to the airport, the agent tried to accuse me of damages to the cars alignment. This held me up for about 1/2 hour, as I had a flight to catch. The car was returned in the same condition/scratches that were already there! People, PLEASE TAKE PICS OF THE CARS YOU RENT! Needless to say, I wouldnt recommend, or wont be using Enterprise again!😡

This was my first time renting a car and I have no complaints about the experience. I first reserved the car online a few days before my trip which was an easy process. Went in the day of and customer service was great and they got me going pretty quick. The car was also great. Very clean and easy to drive plus great gas millage. Dropping off the car was just as easy as picking it up.

I have used enterprise multiple times prior to my most recent rental reservation. All, including the most recent, were from the same location. I have had nothing but great experiences with my transactions, up until this recent rental.The first issue I found to be problematic, was the website would not accept any offer or promotional code(s) that were being advertised, even within their own website. Nor was it honored or considered when confirming the reservation verbally with a representative.The next problem, which was the most unprofessional and in a sense offensive to me personally, was when I was on my way to pick up my rental to ensure it was ready to go, ensuring they were acknowledging my detailed option available for curbside pick up and how it was of great importance to me personally, considering the COVID 19 pandemic we still are undergoing. They advised it was, told me it was a Nissan Frontier and was upfront waiting for me to arrive. I was more than pleased, until I get there and no one greets me or attempts to assist me. I was forced to go up to the building, where I had to stand for some length of time. During that time, I got to witness and listen to a representative up sell the exact vehicle that was confirmed as MY ready curbside rental to another customer. Seriously?! A different employee came out and I was finally acknowledged with no explanation for what I had just encountered, only was provided a extremely downgraded option instead being a Nissan Versa. Too top it off, during inspection we find it was out of gas, completely. So I then was forced to wait even a greater length of time while they went to put gas in it.What should have been 10-15 min turned into an hour. Was not the vehicle I was advised was ready, then sold out from under me, in front of me. It was not honored as curbside pick up as I needed it to be. Was not such a great experience as hoped and been previously known to be. Frustrating and disappointing ........

I reserved 2 cars in advance online, 1st, a car in my hometown, with a MasterCard debit/credit card, for drop off at CVG. At same time, a 2nd car for pick up upon my return, AND GOT CONFIRMATION for both. Dropped the 1st car off at CVG Airport. Flew out of state (4 days). When I returned, and went to pick up the 2nd rental at CVG Enterprise desk, I was told the same card (debit/credit) I used for the 1st rental could not be used because it was a debit card, and that I needed a major credit card. They told me it was their policy. However, when the reservations were confirmed for both rentals online, I read NO WHERE that a Debit Card was not accepted. The reservation reads Rental Checklist: - Bring a valid driving license. - Provide an acceptable method of payment in the renters name. See your pick-up locations policy for details. I admit that I didnt read ALL the details & policies, however one would think that when the confirmations were made, the confirmation details printed out might include forms payment not accepted in bold print UP FRONT! There I was stranded 40 miles from home. I asked to speak to the manager. Pedro told me, when I showed him the confirmation print out, & business card which was given to me by Andrew the Mgt. Trainee at the 1st pickup, hes just a trainee, he made a mistake. No help what so ever! POOR! F- . If there were minus stars, I would rate them minus 5!

The staff were very friendly and professional. They got me in and out quickly when I picked up, and when I dropped the car off. I would have given them five stars; however, when I went to pick up, they didnt have the size/kind of vehicle that I had reserved, which was a bit frustrating. I reserved the size that I did due to the number of people traveling with me and space that we needed for luggage and whatnot. They did offer me two options (a mustang convertible or a pickup truck) which would have been upgrades, at no extra charge, but they were not practical vehicles for the trip I was making, so I ended up with a small sedan. This has happened to me a few times when renting with Enterprise, which is always annoying, but overall it was a decent experience and I will most likely rent from them once more.

Ive been renting from Enterprise on about a monthly basis for over 10 years and this location is the best Ive seen, hands-down. The staff is always friendly and fair, and they have always gone above and beyond my expectations of service. Theyve always been helpful in picking me up to bring me to my rental, and taking me home when I return. They were great friendly and picked me up on time. The car that drove us to the office reeked of cigarette smoke. They planned on giving me that car for the week but offered me a different car because of the smell. The only other car in my size category reeked of swisher sweets. I didnt have time to fight for something else so I settled for the smell of swisher sweets. it was embarrassing having guest in the car asking me if I was a smoker. If you say the cars are smoke free then you need to hold your customers to that standard. The car only had 15,000 miles and already was so stinky.

I could not have asked for a better experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They had my vehicle waiting for me and warmed up (it was a very cold day.) Upon returning the vehicle they gave me a ride back to my house.I will definitely rent from them again when I need a rental vehicle. The price was reasonable, I was given unlimited miles, and the staff really knows the meaning of the words customer service.

I tried to reserve a car online for pick up at 2 pm at the Lebanon, Ohio location. I arrived at the designated location and wasn’t able to enter the building due to Covid restrictions. I placed a phone call to let them know I was there to be told they didn’t have any cars available. Overall a waste of about 60 to 90 minutes without even an offer to check at other locations to see another Enterprise location had an available car.

I spoke directly with the Middletown Ohio branch where i was picking up the car to get info on where the enterprise drop off was at the Cincinnati Ohio (CVG) airport. I was dropping the car there in the morning when took a red eye flight. I was told it was not attached to the terminal, but was with all the other rent a car companies and to follow the signs to the car rental returns at the airport.I did this in the morning allowing an hour extra to return the car and get to the terminal for check in. The INFORMATION I WAS GIVEN BY YOUR AGENT WAS TOTALLY WRONG AND I ALMOST MISSED MY FLIGHT. it took me over an hour to find the return and it was ONE HIGHWAY EXIT AWAY FROM THE AIRPORT EXIT!!The woman working at the desk did drive me to the terminal to help me and I was the last person at the gate, barely making the flight and hurt myself rushing to make the flight. I am handicapped and have difficulty in terminals,I trusted the information given to me by the rental agent and it adversely effected my trip. Things would have gone smoothly if I had been given correct information by your Middletown agent.

Reserved full size car like I usually do online, double checked by phone. Got there, he said were all set I upgraded you, I said great to bigger car or van? He said no a pickup truck. I have nothing against pickup trucks, but not to travel 500 miles and need to have all my family and their stuff with us. Always nice and one time that I had a reservation for a fuel economy car, they didnt have one there for me when I went to pick it up. So they let me upgrade and choose whichever vehicle I wanted that was on the lot, and of course I went with the nicest and sportiest one they had! It was almost $100 more per day but I got it for no extra charge! Super friendly and helpful!

The rental experience was fine. The return however, Im thoroughly disappointed. I use enterprise exclusively and have never had this problem. Returned the car on a Saturday. Didnt receive a call until Tuesday that my rental deposit could not be refunded to my card for an unknown glitch in their system that wont allow them to put money back on my card. Again, Ive been renting from Enterprise for 15+ years and never had this issue. So they tell me they have to send me a check but they are going to expedite it so it gets to me quickly. Great. A little bit of an inconvenience since I rented on my debit card and that money is out of my bank account and not a credit line, but they are getting it done quickly. It is Thursday so Im thinking check will be in the mail today or delivered by FedEx/UPS/etc. Not in the mail, not delivered by special carrier. So I call to inquire and I am told oh, well yeah, we did expedite the process because it usually takes 4-6 WEEKS to get a check in the mail. Excuse me? No. This is my deposit refund and entirely YOUR fault (or your systems fault) but I should be happy because you orchestrated me getting it back sooner than a month and a half later??? So I explain that my understanding from what I was told was that they would expedite both the check cutting and the mailing. Again, since its your screw up. Oh no, its going regular USPS and I should expect that snail mail takes longer. And they called you Tuesday so the check wouldnt have gone out until yesterday so theres no point in expecting it any sooner than 2-3 days from now. For a deposit I should have gotten back at the LATEST on Tuesday. And youre going to make me feel like Im asking to much that you overnight my check, which I will then have to take to my bank to deposit and it STILL not be available for another day. Entirely unacceptable. And I wont be renting with Enterprise next time. Hint: if you screw with a customers money, at least have the decency to try to resolve the matter and DONT put the burden on your customer to get their money back from you in a timely manner. Never had anything like this happen in Chicago or any other location.

The Manager Chris at this location provided me with excellent customer service. The staff at this location is phenomenal. I drove all the way from Mccluskey body shop in Cincinnati, Ohio to this location because the Enterprise location on Reading Rd service sucks! They could not help me. I made reservations at that location because it was closer, but their service was terrible and not professional at all! I had to call a relative to take me all the way out to the Middletown, Ohio location because the Manager Chris was so apologetic for the treatment that I was receiving so he offered to help me out if I came to his location! Best service ever! Highly recommend this location! Everyone is always happy and pleasant!

The only complaint I have is when I went to rent a car a couple of months ago, I received my confirmation and then was called back to tell me no car was available in Middletown but I could go myself to somewhere south and pick one up. I asked if they or someone could go get it (not me). My car was in the shop so I had no transportation. One of my friends from work took me to Hertz in Monroe.Other than that one time, Ive been very satisfied!

I feel the need to write a review concerning my poor and disappointing experience with Enterprise. As this was my first experience with Enterprise, I was not aware of what was included or not with a car rental. Upon arriving to one of the locations my debit card was charged for the $30 refundable fee. That I understood. But then I was taken outside in the freezing cold to sign and initial paperwork without being properly informed of the charges. I was informed I could either use my own insurance if an accident occurred or be covered through Enterprise. I was NOT told I was paying for this nor that this wouldnt be covered by the insurance company that was paying for the rental. I was convinced to go with Enterprises insurance because it was what most people do. As a customer new to Enterprise, I wanted to do what the employee thought was best. But now I feel taken advantage of and angry because I was not aware of the charge. Upon calling and making the employee aware of my frustration, I was told that they remembered the situation EXACTLY. That they had certainly told me I was paying for this. They had nothing else to say to me. I hope this is not how you treat all of your customers. I find it poor service and will be sure not to recommend anyone to this location. I believe your employees need to learn manners when dealing with customers i.e. not taking them out in the freezing to cover paperwork, and how to be apologetic on the telephone.

Enterprise picked me up and took me there so I could pick up my rental car. There were 4-5 employees in the office that afternoon and they treated me as if I was the first on site customer of the day. It turns out I was their first on site customer of day. While I waited for a car to be checked in and checked over and gas put in it, the chit chat was funny. Then they rented me a way nicer vehicle than I thought I would be getting for the same deal. So that was a nice surprise. Ill visit them again.

I cant tell you how fabulous everyone has been here at this Enterprise location. I recently began renting for my job travels and see them weekly. From the manager Chris always saying hello and making sure I have everything I need, to every other employee who always goes the extra mile to help me.I would especially like to recognize Alex who was sweet enough to look for and find a receipt that I desperately needed to submit to my employer. He pulled it out of the trash for me when I called frantic when I realized I left it behind in the car I have just returned.I cant tell you all enough how great this place has been to me! Fantastic and Friendly Service each and every time!!!

We send all our customers to them... Ppl crash their cars and we get them out of our office and line them up with Enterprise. We have never heard anything bad about them from our customers. Plus we use them when we need a car for our vacations.

We had an excellent experience with Enterprise in Middletown, Oh. The customer service was great, the Jeep Cherokee was new and exactly what we needed for our trip. Our check in and return were quick and painless. We will most certainly use them again in the future.

Vehicle was scheduled a week in advance, when I went to pick it up there was no vehicle available. I was informed that I could go pick up another vehicle at another location, when I informed them that I was not able to do that they advised they would go pick it up. I asked about them dropping the vehicle off to me they advised they could not do that. I came back in a couple of hours to pick the car up and they advised they had already gave the car away. When I tried to get an explanation on why they would give the car away after everything that had happened when the young man stepped up and advised I needed to leave or he would call the police and made smart comments. When I got my phone out to video the conversation he went a sat down and said he never said that. There is no supervision at this store.

My Wife had reservations a week in advance for a car while hers was in the shop, there was only 1 person working the desk and she had to wait for over 45 minutes on her car because it wasnt ready, when we finally did get it, it was dirty inside and out. If it wasnt for someone else insurance company covering this rental I would of went elsewhere

I was down in Middletown Enterprise, they didnt have a car. They gave me a truck. I dont like trucks. So I drove all the back to Miamisburg and the gave me a smaller truck that smells like smoke and its so dirty inside. Im calling tomorrow hope they make this right!

Horrible experience . Scam Artist. After waiting an hour to get vehicle employee did walk around with me in the dark while raining. I pointed out ding in drivers door and scratches on lower ground effects/air dam passenger side. Turned vehicle in after hours a few hours late due to holiday traffic. Was charged an extra $200 on my card without telling me. Then to make matters worse was charged $500 more for deductible for scratches on bumper which turned out to be scratches on ground effects I had pointed out on walk around.Employee doing walk around didn’t even have paper to mark down the minor ding and scratches I pointed out. Told me they were aware of this.Was never given any paper work.Was told it would be emailed.Another lie as I never received email.Cant wait to go to court as I was smart enough to take pic’s before I pulled off their lot. I have been told from several sources this location in Middletown Ohio Charges people’s credit/Debit cards for Bogus damage when you don’t take their outrageous overpriced insurance . The only difference between Enterprise of Middletown Ohio and Jesse James is Jesse James rode a horse and carried a gun!!!! #Crooks#ScamArtist!!!!

Ive been renting through here for some time. The lady at the counter was rude, and I had the paperwork to get the car but then was told because my bill showed a back balance even tho it was paid in full I had to leave and go get a paper from the water company showing that they owed me. They charged my card $250 this has never happened and this was for a 2 day rental. I did happen to get 81$ back. For a car that was to be like $90. The pple that worked their before this woman who I was told just came back from leave have always helped me out. She just didnt care. Very unhappy about this situation. Was also told she has made this company lose customers and employees.. A 2 day trip almost cost me what it did to rent a van for a whole week. And I had a car this time. Before renting ask for the underlying fees they tack on. Very upset about this experience. No place else thats close to rent from so I have to use them. This was my 1st unhappy experience with them.

First of all, I would like to say that I have rented from this location once previously without issue. Now the but....But this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had when dealing with a rental car. I called the day before to be picked up from my home at 8:30 AM the next morning. When no one had arrived by 8:40 AM I called back and was told by the Representative that no I hadnt called because I wasnt on the list. Instead of arguing with her I just requested if someone could please come now. The fact that she or no one else offered an apology or even acknowledged the fact that they left me hanging is really what stings. The thing that sent me over the top was that when I arrived it took longer than usually to check in which made no sense to me because I filled all the information out online the night before. And when we finally get to the vehicle to do the walk around they were attempting to rent me a Chevy Malibu with a smashed in front grill. When I said i would not like this particular vehicle the young lady who by the way was the same woman that told me I didnt call for a pick up, looks at me funny and asked why I didnt I want to rent that vehicle. I shook my head and said i would rather take another vehicle like the Jetta please. Long story short, I will never rent another vehicle from Enterprise EVER! especially from 3552 S Dixie Hwy, Middletown Ohio 45005.
