Had to call the cops on the maintenance men when I kindly asked them to get out of my apartment they refused and they refused to fix the pipes and ac and blamed it on me even though theres countless of other people with the same problem that live here. They both acted like children I havent ever really seen a 46 year old man act like that. If you want any advice I would suggest you dont work with these children they dont seem like they even care about their own lives. There is a few acceptions I believe theres one person who has been nice majority of the time all the other people who work here are extremely rude and disappointing

I love all of my neighbors and the community here, however, the management and maintenance staff of this place is completely unprofessional, appliances In my apartment have been broken for over a month now, every time you try to reach the office, the calls are never answered. This place is absolutely not worth the money you pay to live here.

Like all the other reviews say, it takes an unacceptably long time to get a response to any maintenance issue. Our AC has been broken for around a month and Im still waiting for it to be fixed. I had a maintenance technician in my apartment last week for an unrelated issue (that also took FOREVER to get fixed), and he said that, for some reason, a week and a half after the contractor said I need a new AC, nobody had ever ordered one. He then promised he would and I would have an update by Friday. Its been a week of me emailing daily, and I still have no update on if the AC has been ordered or if it will ever even be fixed. We have other maintenance issues that have just never been talked about (a broken cabinet drawer that we put a request in for MONTHS ago), or some that they basically just told us to deal with. One example is there are staples sticking up (the pointy ends) where the carpet meets the laminate. The person that looked at it told me to just bang them in with a hammer. How is that an acceptable response? They half fix things or just never get back to you about them. This is a terribly managed apartment complex, and I recommend you take your money elsewhere.

I just moved in June and have had 3 leaks from ceiling in my bedroom, A/C hasn’t been working for the past month in the middle of summer, staff doesn’t return calls, submitted 12 maintenance requests and none have been responded to yet and it’s been 2 weeks. I had to purchase my own air conditioner and fan. This place isn’t worth it, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I’d give zero stars if I could.

Absolutely should’ve listened to the reviews before moving in here. Management changes every few months so there’s no one legitimate to help you. Maintenance team is amazing, however, getting ANYTHING fixed in a timely matter is a nightmare. Went 2 weeks without hot water only to be told someone ‘forgot to order our parts’. Had a leak in our ceiling that we were told to ‘tape a trash bag over’. Multiple pests- thankfully my boyfriend is in pest control and could treat our apartment because the bugs get BAD in the summer. Advice to anyone looking- DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!

Bugs, mold, and poor management. We have had mites all over our kitchen and appliances for almost three weeks, that the office has know about, and no one is doing anything about it. Pest control sprayed and said the mites are coming from an animal or nest in the vents and not a single vent has been checked. We are left to vacuum up mites sometimes twice a day and our kitchen is unusable. Like other comments our AC has been broken and no one has even contacted me about it. We’ve been strategically using fans and windows during the heat of summer. Now with the heat and moisture we are finding mold throughout the apartment. Whenever we call the office or go there in person no one is helpful and they try to play everything off instead of doing their job and getting results. Do NOT live here!

Ok so Ive lived here for a few months now, the leasing agent who showed us the place was nice and answered any questions we had which was great (he no longer works here). It stops there though, since Ive moved in Ive had numerous issues with the apartment from the toilet flush barely working to smoke detectors going off at the slightest temperature change no matter if I change the batteries. Ive submitted multiple maintenance requests and they still havent shown up to fix it. My units A/C has had a known leak since Ive moved in that was annotated since last year, they did a service on it and just charged a leaking unit, which lasted a month. Now its still hot as hell and I have no A/C Ive submitted maintenance requests, left voicemails, been told the property manager will call back and I get absolutely nothing. Ive lived in a few shoddy places before but never in my life have a seen such a lack of care for tenants or just straight laziness from office staff. My recommendation, if you have the money to live elsewhere do it this place isnt worth the frustration.

Do yourself a favor and live elsewhere. The office staff is abysmal and do not return calls or emails. Awful service and I do not recommend this place.

I have lived here for 4 years. And the last year of living here has been absolutely miserable. We moved from a 1 bedroom (where we had almost zero issues) to a 2 bedroom where everything has gone wrong. Hot water issues, ants, MICE, leaking sink, anything that you can think of. You put in a maintenance request and have to follow up daily for it to be done. Most times, it takes them over a week to come fix something. So unprofessional and frankly, it’s disappointing. Do not move here. Look elsewhere.

Love the community, our apartment, everything.I’ll update after my wife and I move, but my experience with Brianna has been impeccable so far. My wife and I are moving from Springfield MO and have had a time trying to find an apartment that will work for us in Middletown. Having answered the phones for more than one management company for years now, they have an excellent response time, up front information, and are willing and able to discuss their properties in detail. I see and hear nothing but good things. Here’s to hoping the apartment is as good as the customer service I’ve had! 🥂

The office staff has been very accommodating and understanding during this pandemic and has never made me feel pressured to keep up. I always feel safe, I love the walking trails as does my dog. Overall I will continue staying here as long as I can afford it. Miychelle in the office is amazing and always goes above and beyond. The maintenance team works fast and is always responsive if I need something. Thanks Middletown Brooke.

Last summer the pool closed three separate times for days at a time. On top of that, my air conditioning broke in the middle of the summer, on the third floor with a dog and they did nothing but tell us you should have tried to turn your air on earlier so we could fix it before it got too hot out... im sorry...what? After two days of no A/C and a LOT of calling/emailing the leasing office, they brought in a portable a/c to keep it cool enough for the dog to be there during the day. It took a week for them to get in and fix the issue, and another three days for them to come take the gigantic portable unit out of my small bedroom.next- building 7200s walkway floods with a single drop of rain and makes the stairs inaccessible so you are left to scale down the short, but steep muddy slope next to them. (picture attached)the best part about the complex is the grills and patio furniture in the summer, everyone is out grilling and hanging out most nights and for the most part everyone cleans up after themselves. The dog park is a nice sell, but the fence is really short. I rarely took advantage of this since my dog is larger and could easily hop over it if he really wanted too.The office staff comes off as very bothered by any questions you have and any time you email them about something you what seems to be a very sarcastic reply that makes you feel like an idiot.my advice would be to stay away from this place, it was honestly not worth the headaches.

I have never lived in an apartment complex until this July 2020. I couldnt ask for a better first apartment community. Brianna and John are so welcoming and helpful. They want us to truly feel like were part of a special community. Events like Chik filet for lunch one time and then breakfast coming soon being offered on site, a balcony lighting contest for the holidays on December 22nd, Welcoming trick or treaters to our apartments to have something special for the kids. I feel its important to meet the maintenance staff to show your thanks and respect for their work. They all have been warm and welcoming. The grounds are impeccable in the summer and fall. Notice the flowers, the mums the general upkeep. It says a lot about those that work here. They take pride in what they do and I appreciate that very much. Im thankful for being a part of this special community. Happy Holidays everyone!!

I usually like to settle into a place for about a couple of months before leaving an honest review and for me I have for the most part really enjoyed living at Middletown Brooke. Let me start with what I love about this place so far, the excellent customer service I get from the management team and the overall friendly yet professional vibe I get from most residents I come across. Lisa in my experience has always been helpful and kind to me with any problem or question I might have. She works so hard to make sure everyone stays happy in the community. If you want to live in a beautiful, cozy apartment with amenities where you can look outside and feel at peace after a long day of work, then this is the place for you. I am very happy my fiancé and I found this little gem in the Middletown/Cromwell area. Now the bad so far Isnt anything major it really all depends on your personality and standards of living. As for myself, I am a light sleeper and enjoy my peace and quiet so since you cannot choose your neighbors you never know what youre going to get and some are more noisy than others. The other thing is the people who walk their dogs dont all pick up after them but most do which is nice. I do hear the occasional barking but nothing to complain about, it is expected with so many dogs in the community. So in conclusion, I am giving Middletown Brooke 5 stars because even though I wish the some of the people they let in here were more considerate of others also living here it is not the managements fault, I am sure they do not know who will be good neighbors and who wont. It is like that everywhere but what makes a 5 star community is how the management responds to inconsiderate residents and how they solve problems. So far I can honestly say they have done a great job. I hope that after my year here I can still think of Middletown Brooke as a 5 star place.:)

MAY 2018 REVIEW: This is a really great place to live. They are very dog friendly and definitely work hard at keeping up the grounds and living areas. There are a lot of young professionals that live here and the entire community is very friendly. Mac, who is in charge of managing the grounds and day-to-day maintenance is so wonderful!! I couldnt say enough nice things about him. He does a wonderful job of maintaining the grounds and making sure all the apartment maintenance requests are done right away. Hes always smiling and very personable. Also, when I was moving out the ladies in the office were great to work with. They were accommodating and really worked with me during my move to make it as un-stressful as possible. Super transparent throughout the whole process and there were no hidden or surprising move out fees. This is a great choice if you are thinking of renting in the Middletown area!

I’ve signed two leases so far with my husband at Middletown Brooke and we’ve had nothing but a pleasant experience. Every employee we’ve dealt with has been pleasant, friendly, responsive and respectful. The property is maintained well, the amenities are very nice, it’s in an excellent location and I’m extremely glad we chose this place. There were issues with ice dams this winter here and many properties along westlake, and being a resident of the top floor we were the first to learn of it! The office was extremely responsive and understanding of our frustration. We did unfortunately have to wait a week for the ice to melt off of the roof enough to have a contractor get up there and physically remove of all the ice, but the office was doing absolutely everything in their power to help make the experience at least liveable. They were clear with the work plan and helped us understand what needed to be done in order to continue on with repair work. They replaced the insulation and ceiling as well as the rug padding and we were good to go! The maintenance team worked late nights just to help us get back to normal faster! The team at Middletown Brooke is truly top-notch.I’m very disappointed that people have left awful reviews because of unfortunate neighbor placement, but that can happen anywhere. No matter where you go, your experience depends on what you make of it. Unless we decide the time is right to purchase a home, we’re looking forward to staying here at Middletown Brooke.

Awful, it has been the worst renting experience Ive had. The people in the office are not helpful whatsoever. The maintenance guys are extremely nice however we had an issue with our heat in the middle of winter. It took 4 separate service calls to get it fixed over the coarse of 3 months. The heat never got above 60 even though the thermostat was set at 68. Our gas and electric bills skyrocketed because the heat was constantly running. We went to the office to ask for some kind of credit since it there was an issue with the heat in the apartment they said no. We told them we would be moving out 17 days early but would pay what we owed in rent. We had the electric gas and renters insurance set to end the day we moved out. They said we had to keep paying until the 17th even though they could have someone move in since we have them the keys and told them the date. Its supposed to be dog friendly and yet they sent out an email saying dogs can only go to the bathroom in a certain spot. The pool is constantly closed for cleaning issues, the one time we used it there was a used band aide floating around. We had mice in the apartment multiple times, even with the 2 traps they put up. They never came back to check the traps. Even with this new owner we have had issue after issue with them. All in all it was just an awful experience

The staff will outright lie to your face, tack on numerous fees to the already overpriced rent. The walls and ceiling are paper thin so you can hear anyone and everyone around you. Our air conditioning stopped working sometime around March/April of this year. We promptly filed a work order, and the response we received from management was something along the lines of we will fix it later when it starts getting hot out. Now, i am very sensitive to heat, and i often break out in a sweat at temperatures as low as 75° Fahrenheit, so i immediately knew that this delay would be a problem for me. We pestered management about this until they finally sent out a repair team to fix the issue sometime in April, but their fix broke after only a few days. We continued putting pressure on them to fix our air conditioning, but they kept on sending their own incompetent repair men who would always misdiagnose the issue, and nothing got fixed.Sometime around late May, they finally decided to hire a professional HVAC person to diagnose the problem, and he quickly concluded that the ancient condenser unit was broken and in need of replacement. Managements solution to this problem was to plop a temporary unit in our apartment and call it a day. Unfortunately, the temporary unit they gave us is barely powerful enough to cool the room its in, and even using the apartments built-in air circulation system in conjunction with a bunch of box fans to move the air around doesnt seem to help much. Even worse for me is that the only location where there was enough space next to a window to put the temporary unit was in my dads bedroom, which is located on the opposite side of the apartment from mine. This means that my room doesnt receive any of the cool air from the air conditioner on the other side of the apartment. So here we are in late June, over three months after we reported that there was an issue with our air conditioning. Managment seems to think that the temporary unit is good enough, as they have started ignoring our weekly requests to have our central air properly repaired. Meanwhile, the temperature in my bedroom frequently reaches 80°, and we havent even reached the hottest days of summer yet. All of this could have been avoided if management had acted promptly when we first reported the issue instead of dragging their feet until it was too late. We have lived here for 4 years and we always knew that the management was bad, but in the last few months they have really exceeded our expectations of how bad a managment company could possibly be. Needless to say, we will not be signing another lease and are looking to move out as soon as possible.

My wife and I began renting at Town Brooke in April 2016. This has genuinely become one of the worse living arrangements I have ever had the privilege of paying over $1400 a month for.We have had numerous issues with maintenance requests not getting addressed, including an air conditioner that was non-functional for over three weeks during the summer one year, and nearly two weeks another year, while the original work order went over a week without acknowledgement, to issues of water leaking from the base of a toilet where the original remedy was simply re-caulking the base. When that did not hold, we were told that the toilet would be replaced the next day, but it wasnt until the next week that the work was actually completed. When the toilet was eventually replaced, the old toilet was left outside of the apartment door for two weeks before eventually being removed. We also had a leak from the ceiling that occurred after a rain storm, that after being reported, was only addressed by painting the water mark on the ceiling. There was also a situation where workers had replaced the stairs within the breezeway, but did not actually anchor the railing to the run. When going up the stairs after a day of work, I was very unfortunately met with the railing flinging out from under my arm, almost causing me to fall off of the stairs onto the concrete below. Simple oversights like this are seemingly commonplace. The complex also seemingly does nothing to enforce pet policies, as evident my numerous dog owners allowing their dogs to defecate in common space or urinate in the breezeways outside of the apartment doors, despite a dedicated space existing for dogs within the complex. There have also been occasions where documentation has been misplaced and the onus placed on the resident for rectifying the back-log. We had a cat when we moved in, which was declared upon signing the lease and the appropriate fee was paid. During our second lease, we were asked about the cat in the apartment, and were informed that there was no record of it being a pet apartment, despite numerous email exchanges occurring up to that point. We were then required to pay the pet deposit again. More recently, the complex claims to have not received proof of renters insurance and added a fee to the monthly rent for that. When another copy of the policy was sent, we were informed that we would not be charged again in the future, but that the fee placed on the account is not refundable, despite having had no lapse in insurance.Beyond this, the apartments are okay at best. The drywall is thin, making it quite easy to hear neighbors at various hours. The layout of the unit that we are in (2Bd/2Ba) is very usable. Parking is often available in front of the unit, but its not uncommon to have to park in the overflow lot in the center of the complex. This lot has lamp posts, but they have not been lit at night for many months, leading to a walk back that can sometimes feel uncomfortable while also providing cover for a group of thieves that has recently stolen wheels off of cars parked there. The mailboxes are centrally located and easy to stop at on your way into our out of the complex, but sometimes packages will be delivered to and held in the office. Likewise, the dumpster and recycling bins are centrally located, but it is a very common occurrence for trash to be piled up outside of it as it gets filled between pick-ups. I have also personally observed complex workers taking recycling and dumping it into the trash dumpster because the recycling was full.I truly wish we paid attention to the trends and signs of living here during the first two leases periods, as weve had nothing but difficulty and displeasure being here, nothing near a home feeling that we would have hoped for while finding a place to live. There are plenty of other options in the immediate area, Id strongly recommend considering one of those, because in my experience Mission Rocks primary goal is not your happiness.

So the rent isnt cheap. You have the deposit, renters insurance, pet deposit, pet rent, monthly rent, and utilities as well. For my one bedroom and 2 cats without utilities the rent is 1,131$, after utilities its about 1,331$, and the unit includes a washer/dryer combo as well as a dishwasher. Though if there is a problem, maintenance or etc., and you put in a request or send an email Ive always gotten a quick response. The office personnel have always been polite and helpful as well. Also the walls are not paper thin, Ive lived in apartments where you could hear the tenants conversations next to you, not here. The only sounds I ever hear come from outside the apartment door. My advice is only sign a 3 or 6 month lease if you rent here because you never know who your neighbors are going to be. My apartment is fine, albeit a little small for the price. Youre basically paying for the amenities and the maintainence free living. The pool and the grounds have been kept very nicely. The office staff has been fairly responsive and friendly. My problem is one neighbor who insists on playing her stereo at nightclub volume to the point where the walls in my apartment vibrate. I have made numerous complaints, banged on the walls, etc. all to no avail. Unfortunately, I signed a year lease so I am stuck for another 6 months, but after that I am out of here.
