I couldnt have had a better experience, then my class at Gracie Barra Kendall. Eric, the gym owner, welcomed me like a student, whose been training for years. All the students were nice and respectful. Sébastien, the instructor, was very professional, helpful, and jovial. I couldnt recommend anywhere else if your looking for good lessons, rolls, and experience.

I took my son there and they wouldn’t even allow him to try the free class. Really bad customer service!

Amazing place to learn grappling. The two black belts/mentors are very efficient at communicating and instructing a martial art that’s very difficult to say the least.

Fantastic experience I had. Very friendly people, amazing atmosphere. I learned quite a lot in the time I was there. At first I was hesitant joining because I had never done any martial arts before this but I have never regret joining it. Both instructors Erik and Sebastian are amazing people, rolled with them a few times and overall feel like they deserve this place to grow even more due to how good of instructors and people they are. By the way, if you’re also looking for a place to do fitness then this is even more of a reason to join. Oh and lastly, if you’re not fit already don’t be discouraged from joining, when I entered I used to be quite overweight but overtime I got much better and lost a lot of weight, such as how many other people there have.

This gym is incredible!!! The coaches are really talented in educating the class room and real professional. The best jiu jitsu gym in Miami by far.

After being out of martial arts and any type of physical activity for 16 years, due to injury, this gym has realy made me feel welcomed and safe. The morning classes are great and they have a shower for those who need to head straight to work. So glad i joined!

I figure I give it a year before providing feedback on the academy so here it is..... I wanted to start bjj for the longest time and finally made the decision a year ago. Professor Darnott and coach Omar are exceptional instructors who are well versed in the art of Jui Jitsu and follow the Gracie Barra philosophy of transcending borders of countries and cultural barriers. They bring all of us together, giving US a sense of family and fraternity which is really appreciated by all. There is a sense of individualized training during all class blocks. The training times are accommodating to our work schedules as there are early morning classes 6:30-7:30AM Midday classes 3PM-4PM and evening classes 7-8PM . Their childrens program is their pride and joy which reflects on the childrens faces.

This place is amazing! Having done Jiu-Jitsu for a few years now, I can clearly tell you that this school is the place to be. Erik, the head instructor, is very knowledgeable in what he does and wants you to learn. I have never been to a school that makes you feel like family as much as this one does. Everybody is extremely friendly and welcoming. Best of all, you are receiving world class Jiu-Jitsu training. If you are completely new to Jiu-Jitsu, this is the place to be. If you have been doing Jiu-Jitsu for a while like myself, this is the place to be as well. Definitely give it a try as you won’t regret it. 10/10!
