Rented a 2021 Audi Convertible... Check-in was easy... drop off was even easier... car was clean, Practically brand new. Had no complications what so ever. Had my own insurance, only add on I paid for was the SunPass... No hassle at the counter... from the time I got there it took all of 15 -20 minutes. After I finished at the counter, the car was ready and I was able to pull off no issues...
We got the SUV it was gross. There was gum and popcorn in between the seats. I whole waffle house use coffee cup rolled from under the driver seat while I was driving. Thank God it did not roll under the brake. I thought Sixt was to go to for quality and service. With how filthy the SUV was has me questioning if it was clean at all. This is very concerning especially during these time of COVID
Not first time renting from them, but first time in US. Read some bad reviews below and was expecting some difficulties. Never happened!Rented a car for 14 days to travel with family (end of July 2021). Booked a car directly from sixt website 2 weeks prior to my arrival.In details. Easy to access location from terminal (3 minutes ride on special train to car rentals terminal). On arrival there was a small queue, but waiting time was no longer than 20 minutes. Some other rental companies looked much more overcrowded.Manager was very fast and polite. I wasn’t offered to buy something that I don’t need, also nothing was included in my booking without my accept (as some people mentioned before). I was offered a no-limit toll roads package, which I accepted as if your drive a lot in FL – it really helps and saves time. But is cost money. Yes.Only total amount of rental + $200 deposit was blocked on my credit card.The car was very good,
Great service at the counter. I even got a free upgrade. Overall it was a nice and modern vehicle but the interior could have bin cleaned better.
I am giving this review because I had booked a vehicle (Mercedes sedan or similar) and when I arrived for pickup they tried to give me a Toyota 4 runner or Jeep Cherokee. I am not seeing how an SUV is similar to a Mercedes sedan other than it has 4 doors. Any way I was forced to pay extra for a dodge charger sedan instead of just being giving an available sedan at no extra charge since it was your mistake for not having what I originally requested. I tried asking for a sedan for the same price but the staff member told me my only options were take an SUV or pay an extra $12 a day for the charger or $18 a day for BMW. The whole point was I booked 1 thing and was charged more to actually get what I requested, this I am pretty upset about. Other than that everything was good. Car was nice, staff was nice, easy return.
Great experience with my rental from Sixt in Miami. The costumer service from mrs. Mariam Ramirez was outstanding and the best there can be. She helped me with a great accommodating SUV option and the best price. She was very attentive and very helpful in the process of the rental. The car was amazing and fully loaded with top of the line technology and with so much leg room. Thanks to Mariam and Sixt for the satisfactory service and i will be definitely booking with them in my future rentals.
We rented a BMW 330I for a week and a half and we had such a great experience. The process to rent was super easy and we were pleased with how clean the car was. Not to mention the car only had 1,000 miles on it. It was brand new! Definitely recommend, we will be renting from here for now on!
I received the best customer service in this rent a car. Not only by the agent who issued my rental (Mateo), but by receiving hot coffee from the place while waiting. The staff in this place is great, I will definitely go back to this place.
The car was very dirty with multiple scratches and stains. Not everything was on their list of known defects when picking up the car. The line to pick the car up is long and then you have to wait to get the car. I usually like Sixt, not this location. I will say that everyone was nice to deal with.
I normally use these guys but not anymore stick to Alamo or Budget... Rented a truck but when I showed up they tried to give me a Van instead. Were extremely unhelpful even gave me an attitude when I asked if they could cancel. Now I am stranded and to get a truck I now have to pay double the price. Fix your computer and get your act together. Do not offer cars that you do not have and most of all offer better customer service. I am extremely disappointed with this agency. I attached a photo to show that no one is even there just 2 unhelpful employees. This company is going in the wrong direction.UPDATE:When I asked the second guy if maybe they had a truck in another location he didn’t check the computer and told me that if they don’t have it then none of their locations have it but sure enough just 10 minutes after I leave the airport I decide to look just to see if the guy was lying and damn the location in downtown had a truck. These guys suck
Do the math on the in and out mileage and keep in mind you get 875 complimentary miles. Still havent gotten the $869.20 back yet and also there is no phone support, only email. Still havent had any response to email either. I would look else where. They even gave me a 20% discount due to the condition of the car but then overcharged me $869.20. And that was on the 9th of August and no response to any email. Look deeper than the reviews on here. The 20% was to give a good review but it is not deserved at this point.
I had an excellent experience! My agent was patient and knowledgeable. He assisted with upgrading my vehicle, the entire process was quick and painless. I appreciate an expedite process when on vacation. Also the return was fast which was perfect because I was running late for my flight. Will definitely rent again!!
Six years ago I rented a vehicle from this location and it was by far the worse experience I have ever had and I swore Id never rent from Sixt again. After a excellent experience from the Sixt Denver I gave the Miami location another chance and this time it was by far the BEST experience I have ever had in renting a vehicle! Alejandro went above and beyond to make us happy and give us the BEST customer experience! WONDERFUL improvement ...keep it up...we WILL return.
Overall a good experience. The only reason star was taken off was because as a Loyalty member there was no dedicated aisle and/or Rep to assist, so you have to wait in line with everyone else. The car/car class we prepaid was not available, but due to our Loyalty Membership, we were upgraded. Since we prepaid and locked in a MIDWEEK SPECIAL (you have to google or search Sixt mid week specials) and provided all info in our profile, once at the counter, we were on our way quickly.GAS/FUEL…Please consider refueling before you get to the airport as the price at the gas station right outside the car return center for regular was $4.39 a gallon. We had just left Little Havana and paid $2.89 (yes ($2.89) a gallon for regular. As you get closer to the airport the price goes up.
I want to give it 2 stars for getting the rental car. Was horrible took an hour! The car was good and in good condition. Returning is 5 star experience; fast smooth and quick!
Waited in line for 45 minutes only to be told they didn’t have a car in my class available (which I booked months in advance) and I would have to wait around until one became available (after I had already been flying for 8 hours and waited in line). So of course I pay 300 extra dollars to upgrade to a different vehicle just so I didn’t have to wait around even longer. Felt like it was a scam to get you to upgrade at the airport. Definitely will not be using Sixt again. However, if you feel like being tricked into a higher priced car, definitely book with Sixt, at least the car will be nice, but you’re going to pay significantly more than your original reservation.
I received a great deal on the car! The staff at the airport location were very nice and efficient. They even gave you coffee while waiting to check in for your reservation! I would definitely rent a car from them again. It was my first time renting with them and overall the process was very straightforward and without issues.

The whole process of renting a car went very smoothly. This was our second time renting with them and both times we were impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the cars. They were both newer models with not a ton of miles which was nice, they didn’t skimp on the safety features either.We signed up for the Cadillac CT6 or similar class and got a newer Volvo from the Miami, FL airport.
Absolutely DECEPTIVE! And worst customer service. Stood in line forever to get to a customer rep who then deceived me into purchasing their basic coverage which I thought I was actually DECLINING the coverage!!!! But they phrase it in a way where you think your declining it, but youre declining their EXTENDED coverage and then they just default you into paying for their coverage and AT NO TIME was it made clear to me that I was paying for additional coverage. He then told me that I needed to swipe my car for the $200 deposit. I did. I then saw my bill was for $292!!! $200 deposit and $92 for the insurance coverage I did not want or need! He did not say the total was $292. He said I would we swiping for $200. Also, after you get your paperwork... guess what you get to go downstairs and stand in ANOTHER LINE just to get the keys. Worst car rental experience Ive ever had. And Ive had plenty of bad ones. But usually they are up front with the extra charges. I was actually ripped off due to deception.

My boyfriend and I rented a car for 4 days. They said that it would be $245 and that included the fee for being under 25 and we would not have access to their luxury vehicles. We asked if we needed to fill up the tank before returning the vehicle and the attendant said they’d just charge us whatever it takes to fill up. We were given a Toyota Camry, the vehicle was clean with some dents and scratches that were in the description. We returned the car on August 30th and my boyfriend was charged $433 on Sept 1st. $95 for being underage (which we were originally told was included in the price but okay, whatever) and $150 for gas. I own a Toyota Camry and it doesn’t take $150 to fill up the tank.
Great car, gouged by hidden charges.I loved Sixt and used them for most all of my business travel. My family and I rented a car from the Sixt at MIA for a week. Great check in experience, negotiated upgrade to an Audi that was wonderful, and drop off was easy.Then the charges started coming in via email… first they tried to tell me the tank was 7/8 full and charge me $50. No it wasn’t. I filled it up outside of the airport and have a picture of the dash when I dropped it off. 4 emails later, “we are so sorry for the confusion! We will issue you a refund later today.”3 months later we get a bill for $450 for tolls. Excuse me, what?! We drove to the Everglades and a few beaches, but $450?! Upon further reading the actual tolls were $58 and then they charged us a $5 “processing fee” per individual line item. $3 toll? $5 service charge. $0.23 toll? $5 service charge. $0.68 toll? $5 service charge.Several emails later they apologies for “duplicate charges” and took $100 off, but that’s still absurd. They said “we believe we followed sound business practices and we hope with time you will agree.” Zero percent change. The manager at the service desk when we arrived told me flat out, “you could get a $60 sun pass for your tolls but I don’t you’ll incur that many charges. Tolls are $1-$2 a pop.” Nothing about a processing fee.What a rip off. I until this is resolved, I will never use Sixt again. And I will make a point to warn everyone I know about the shady money grabbing techniques. Such a shame.

I never received it and was charged for $200.93 with no explanation. Sixt phone customer service doesn’t work. Only in Miami can this happen because the bad car return check knows people won’t pull out a gun and shot her in the head so she can be as retarded as she wants.The vehicles came defective and made the long term drives extremely dangerous. It is likely that they purchased their cars from leftover in the factories that not allowed to be sold anywhere else. Both vehicles I got, all brand new, Yukon XL and Land Rover Discovery could barely go more than 5 hours then got towed by sixt and exchanged. Rain brushes for windshield not automatic, gas cap and exterior came broken. Obviously the broken parts did not come from any car accident.DO NOT RENT HERE, SAVE LIVES

I have had memorable experiences with Sixt in the past, but this was horrible, the Sixt employee who attended me at the counter treated me so badly that it made me think about canceling my reservation with you, on the other hand your interest is too notorious in selling me Every More and more things and not offering me a service that I already had contracted, now for me Sixt is the same as any other company that rents cars, before I thought it was better than other companies, it is no longer the case.You must offer a service that avoids customer contact with people when picking up the car, that way we do not have to understand with your employees who seem to work out of obligation in your company.
Amazing service, great cars. A big thank you to Mariam R., so competent, so helpful and very friendly. Our car was in an excellent condition - almost new and very clean. The flatrate for using toll roads is quite pricey as well as full coverage options. However, the rental is very relaxing and comfortable using both. We had to contact the service due to early return (cancelled flight). Our concerns have been managed conveniently and the early return was simple. We would use Sixt here again.
Love Sixt! Been using them for 6 years now when they first started out. The cars they offer are top notch. Maintenance, cleaniness, and performance never disappoints. Price is reasonable too.
I have rented vehicles from Sixt in a few countries. The vehicles have been superb and friendly customer service. The website was easy to navigate. I had an issue with billing once and it was quickly and favorably resolved. That alone is reason rent your vehicle from Sixt. Prices are fair and affordable.

I finally come to see my mother after 18 months and rent a car from these con artists only to see a new and improved invoice where I was charged a Volvo S90 rate for a Jeep Cherokee. The White adjacent are absolutely losing their collective Caucasoid minds.
The convertible was great but they try to rip you off! After car was dropped off, $106.20 was charged in addition to the amount on the receipt. Car was returned early, tank of gas at the same level as when picked up, had my own insurance policy purchased from Allianz at the time of booking plus my personal full coverage State Farm policy that we provided extra, so no valid reason for additional charges. Call them to question the extra charge, dialing through their phone system, they got no one to pick up the call, instead they are instructing you to write an email. What? I actually did write that email, but of course, as anticipated, NO ONE replied. I had a bad experience at the hotel as well, with an extra charge added after I checked out, so is this something specific to Miami? I travel quite a lot but this never happened, to get ripped off and have to fight to get wrong charges removed. This is theft!
Waitin on line for more then 1 hour when I got the counter they told me they didn’t have the car class I paid for.Don’t waste your time doing a reservation you still have to wait online like the ones with out it.Manager was rude with people.They will try to charge you a lot of money for deposit.
Our vehicle was returned 6 hours prior to what was listed on the bill which incurred $118 in extra charges. At the time that it claims I returned the car I was half way back to Cleveland on my flight. Impossible. It seems that they need more competent employees that will do their job in a timely manner and now I am forced to turn to other ways of recouping my unjustly charged money. I even asked the employee if the vehicle was checked back in when he checked the fuel (which he assured me it was) and took a photo myself of the fuel amount (which is time stamped) so no charges could be added. This is ridiculous. I will be adding this poor review to every social media site and contacting BBB about the return of monies. I can assure you that I will inform everyone I know that Sixt is incompetent and will steal money from customers. The only negative experience I had on my entire trip was with this company. Luckily I have proof of this companys mistake.
Not the cheapest place but just like everything else in life you get what you pay for. Great service my car only had 4000 miles on it. Easy check out and check in. We have kids their seats were comfortable too. Highly recommend.
I rented a car for 6 days and they charged me for cleaning excessive sand out of the car. They sent me these pictures as evidence. They charged me $110 to shake and clean off the mats! I will rent through Hertz next time, at least they dont charge ridiculous fees to clean mats.... I didnt realize that I shouldnt actually USE the car....
Beware of Agent named Sophia!! Rented a car for 10 days, pre paid for the service in advance via website. After 3 weeks we got an extra charges for $170 for supplemental insurance liability, after I specifically told her that we do not want the insurance!!! I guess the easiest way for them to make the commission is to slam you with an extra services without your knowledge, because you are getting charged only after couple of days after you drop of the car, so there is no way for you coming back to the same person to complain if you live in another state. Customer service over the phone is no help too, they told me to sent the email. After sending the email 5 days ago, just received the reply today, stating that all my charges are valid as I signed for the service. I did leave a signature on blank computer screen, but when I asked for the receipt after that, I was told by Sophia their receipt machine is not working, but not to worry everything will be sent to my email. But the only thing that was sent is extra charges on my credit card for the services that I never requested.
Will never rent Sixt again, and neither should anyone else. Worst car rental agency that I’ve ever used. I got a flat tire on my way to return the car at the airport. Sixt told me it would be 90 min before someone could help with the tire. I had to fix it myself because I would miss my flight. In rushing to the airport, I had no time to stop for gas and figured it would be slightly more expensive to have Sixt fill it, so it wasn’t worth missing my flight. However Sixt CHARGED $278 TO REFILL MY TANK!!! Now when I try to call and talk to someone I get the message that there is no one to talk to and I must reach out via email. I’ve done this multiple time with no response. My rental was supposed to cost $560 and in the end was $798, and Sixt will not allow me to dispute this or even talk to someone about it. AVOID SIXT AT ALL COSTS!!
Spoke to Roimel G, not such a good representative to Sixt rental car service. Im fully aware the pricings for the car rental is beyond his reach, but when asking him for the cheapest insurance for the vehicle he tried to give me the most expensive option. I tried to ask him why all these fees and taxes added up to more than what ive seen online and he had told me “this is america”. Sixt rental car service is known to screw their customers over and to charge hidden fees and just add extra fees on top of fees and taxes and charge the highest amount of insurance that will litterally add up to be (More) expensive than the car rental itself. The only reason I gave a 2 star is because my rental was upgraded automatically due to my car being unavailable.
Great experience overall!!! I had a reservation ahead of time so the wait time was minimal once I reached the counter. There was a lot of vehicles to choose from and the one I reserved was available. The only hiccup was on the return. I was told that I had to wait for the branch to open up so I could return the vehicle but that turned out to be false. Luckily I did not miss my flight. However it should be known that if you have a 7am flight, there is a bus driver whose shift starts at 4am and you hand your keys over to him/her and they will drive you to the airport. Thats the return process! Make sure the gas is topped off and that is it. They will email you the final receipt and if there are any disputes it will be done via email. I will certainly rent from them again and I suggest others to as well!
Very bad attention. They treated me badly, they did not explain the costs to me at the end I rented for the same money in Avis. I went to six x that I rented several times in Europe and I had no problem here.
Sixt was so smooth! We rented from them at Miami International Airport. The orange signs made it easy to find, and the workers were so helpful. Our upgraded car was especially nice!
1.5 hours wait time before getting in front of a counter employee when picking my car up. Claimed it was a one-off but same wait time / size of line when dropping the car off. No other company in the centre had anywhere near this situation.
Rented a BMW X1 for over 2 weeks, I forgot my transponder in the car on 08/13 reported to SIXT lost and found immediately after 15 mins to check it and send back to my home address in NJ, no one responded to me for all this time, I have been updating and reviewing my lost & found claim nothing happened!! Lately the biggest surprise to me that SIXT rented the same car to someone else who has been using my transponder sunpass card and charged my account 22$?????????? What a Mess my sunpass transponder was in the car, I reported after 15 mins from dropping the car and still they just told me on the phone without checking we dont have it in addition, I realize someone else rented same car from SIXT and has been using my transponder card on the front windshield and charging my account!!!!! What a Joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick, quick service. And always given choice of cars and colors in my tier. All other agencies lined were long and barely moving. I walked right up to Sixt and was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Not sure why so many people haven’t heard of them. Have to make sure you try and book 25 days in advance to qualify for deep discounts. Always have high end cars for not much more than a basic model at other agencies. Always renting a Mercedes, Volvo, BMW, Cadillac, Range Rover, or Jaguar. Cars are always in clean, mint condition. Been using Sixt for at least five years! Cheers!
Once we did the paperwork no one was there to give us the keys. Waited over 20 min for the car I didnt request. Then there was the whole gas fiasco. I couldnt find a station with any and had a flight to catch. We check several stations with no luck. Now you ant to price gouge me at $9.99 a gallon when it was not our fault. We made it to our gate 5 my Im before boarding due to this. We never had a chance to eat breakfast because we were hunting down gas that wasnt available. The chance of me using you or recommending you are extremely low.
I always ask for prepaid tolls. They are no longer giving print outs upon rental or return, make sure to ask for yours. After this last rental I received a a charge for tolls $400 and now they say there is no phone support. They are obviously trying to make up for lost money during covid in this sneaky way. I only used sixt for years, I guess Im going back to my hertz gold.
Worst place to rent a car from. I rented a car and the bumper was messed up and was holding on by wire. I was told I could bring it back and exchange it for another car. When I brought it back I was charged 200.00. I called the company no one could explain nor give me my money back. I sent emails and was given the run around. I would never recommend this company to anyone
I paid for a 4 series BMW and got a 2 series BMW at the same price. I did not have time to argue this at the airport, but based on how unfriendly the staff was I knew i wasn’t going to be reasoned with. Disappointed
The check in and check is quick and efficient.Great pricing as I upgraded my car at the location.The only complaint is they need to incorporate checking your bags at the rental site.Its a good mile trip back to terminal with your bags.
Poor customer service skills both at the rental center and on the phone with the exception of the lady at the reservation counter and return; thats why I gave it three stars. I originally reserved a van with Enterprise but when I went to pick it up, I was told that in order to return it to a different location, they would need a major credit card. The only problem was that I didnt have one. I went to several other rental places and they all said the same thing. It was around 10:30pm at the time and everyone (party of 6) was exhausted so we decided to take the shuttle to our hotel for the night. After checking in, I searched for last minute car rentals and the most affordable was Sixt. I called and explained my dilemma to the gentlemen and he told me that without a credit card, I was only able to get a full size or smaller car. Clearly I was not going to be able to get a van anywhere, so I reserved two cars for 3 days for $800 under my husbands name. After reserving, I did a little googling and found out that they charge an additional driver fee. At no time during the reservation process did the gentlemen inform me of this. Had I known, I would have reserved one car under my name. I called back to ask if they could either transfer one of the reservations into my name or cancel and rebook it in my name. The lady I spoke with said that in order to put it in my name, shell have to cancel one of the reservations which comes with a 3 day nonrefundable cancellation fee. She asked me if I wanted to proceed with the cancellation, which upset me because in what world does it make sense to cancel the reservation, only for them to keep my $400, and then make another reservation for $400 when I could just pay the additional driver fee which was $45. When picking up the cars, the lady at the counter was very nice and pleasant. She asked me why I got two cars instead of one larger car and I explained to her what I was told. She said that the info I was given was incorrect. That I was able to reserve any car using my debit card and return it anywhere with the exception of their luxury cars. She was nice enough to fully refund me for the two reservations and got me a 7 passenger SUV for $670 which included an upgrade fee of $260. At this point I wasnt even mad. I was just glad I got an SUV that fit everyone and it was still cheaper than getting the two cars. The lady at the key pickup booth was very rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. She wouldnt even look up at me when I told her that I needed to report some damages which werent noted on the receipt they gave me. She pointed her finger to the car return area and said with an attitude that I needed to go over there. It took about 30 min to record all the new damages. I read a lot of negative reviews about people getting billed for damages that they did not cause, so I wanted to make sure everything was documented. The car wasnt cleaned well. There was still sand all over. The return process was fast and easy. No complaints there. Ill probably use them again in the future for last minute reservations only. Would not recommend to anyone though.
Although we had pre-paid reservation, we have waited almost for an hour. there is no enough staff. there was eleven kiosk and was just 5 workers. i never prefer to work with sixt again. Don’t prefer this company.
Mismatched information between what I have booked in Costa Rica and what system shows at airport branch. Due to this, I had to wait for almost 3 hours to get the car. Also, the car had a strong smell of cigarette.
Picked up a rental in Orlando, FL only to drive back home to Miami, FL. I reserved a vehicle online which was a Camry or similar, when I get there they didn’t have any vehicles in that category available. The agent convinced me into upgrading which I did to avoid going through the rental process elsewhere since someone had given me a ride to the rental location. When I was done paying for it we stepped outside for the agent to drive the car up and hand over the keys, apparently it had just been dropped off because the agent said it was a little dirty and offered to run it by a quick car wash and I accepted. As soon as she finished, drove up and she stepped out the car she handed the keys over and told me to return the vehicle with the same amount of gas and told me we were all set. Since I was in a bit of a rush at this point and had someone waiting for me in the parking lot I drove off I figured since the agent didn’t do an inspection of the vehicle with me it wouldn’t be an issue. Well I was wrong, terribly wrong! When I dropped off the vehicle at the Mia Intl Airport location, the agent inspected the vehicle and started marking multiple damages such as scratches, I asked him what he was doing and he said he was documenting the damage on the car but that I shouldn’t worry about it and proceeded to warn me to always do an inspection before driving off because rental companies take advantage of those who don’t. I understood what he was implying and would definitely keep that in mind for my next rental but again was assured I should be fine. Long and behold for the first time ever with a rental vehicle, I received an invoice for damage totaling $600-700. Ironically, I decided to rent from Sixt because i figured they were a reputable company and have heard atrocities from other rental companies, I’ve also rented from Sixt at the Coral Gables location in the past and never had an issue. This company or this location are taking advantage of customers to bill them for damage they did not do and I can’t imagine how many tourists are having to go through this it’s shameful. Had an amazing experience at Sixt Rental car in Miami international airport. The rental service agent was amazing and was so helpful with questions that I had. We were able to discuss upgrade options along with life situations. Very personable and knowledgeable with the process. I look forward to renting there again, hopefully very soon!
This location was not a good experience. I have rented from Sixt before. I had reserved a Luxury vehicle (BMW) in the month of April and reserved 2 weeks prior to my trip and had made a payment. Upon arriving there was a long line, long wait. When I finally reached the counter, I was made aware that there were no available luxury vehicles and that my vehicle was unavailable as well. At that point I just wanted a vehicle so I could enjoy my trip in Miami. I was given a Mazda. When I returned my vehicle I spoke to the manager to make sure I would be getting credit to my card seeing I was given a Mazda and not a BMW. Alejandro Kan (manager) reassured me I would be receiving a credit. Two months later in June I see a new charge to my account from this location. I tried to dispute and contact a Sixt representative yet they refer you an email for customer support. You send an email and they say someone will reach out to you within 14 days. Fast forward to August...Still have not heard from a representative from Sixt. I logged into my Sixt account and have a rental agreement showing that they owed me a credit to my account yet they never credited it that amount. My credit card company stated because it is past 60 days...I would need to reach the merchant. I would not refer Sixt in the future as my unresolved charges have yet to been resolved. I would appreciate a Sixt representative to reach out to me with 48 hours of this post to offer me the credit of my refund owed!
Ingrid Parra was AMAZING!!!! I came in frustrated because of my delay of flight and my reservation was for earlier but she pulled it up and made it so much easier. She was so quick and GREAT!!! Thank you Ingrid so much you made my experience at SIXT amazing. She really made my vacation sooo much better and I am so happy thank million times!!!
I usually like using Sixt Rent A Car in any city that I travel. However this was the most horrible experience that I ever had with a rental company. I waited in line for almost an hour just to find out that they did not have the vehicle category I booked available, I had to get a more expensive vehicle then I originally budgeted for and they offered no recourse for their mistake. I would have been better off going to a luxury leasing company in miami instead.
This was my first time trying out SIXT. I was nervous but went for it. When using other car rentals, I typically declined the added insurance.. SIXT said this is required?? Hmm well at almost 12am. cancelled flights with 3 kids, and lack of sleep for 24 hours so I was already so tired. I don’t know maybe they saw the word “dummy” on my face. The liability insurance was added!Sixt has a very nice setup with about 8-10 countertops for registration however only 3 reps were there. The line was super long. I waited almost an hour in line. Once I get to the garage.. the attendant had on her phone. My husband and I looked at each other for a few seconds and giggled because at that point we had just about enough. We knocked on the window, she didn’t greet us- just looked at us. I hand over the slip and she grabbed the keys. She slipped out the booth and started walking around the lot. She came back and said, oh this is a new car that was delivered and they didn’t put the parking location on the document so I don’t know where it’s parked at and started at us. I’m assuming she wanted us to walk around the lot looking for the car because she was giving the key to us! So we did! We found the car!! This process was exhausting. We get on the road and put the defrost on and the wipers on because it’s raining. After a while we realize the wipers suck in this “new just delivered “ vehicle. And on top of it the windshield has this oil like substance in the inside and outside. We stopped at the gas station and washed it off because the more we used the wipers the worst it got..Would I use them again? Idk let’s see.. it could of been just a bad location??
More times than not, something goes wrong when I rent from Sixt. The Good - nice staff at MIA and a nice car. The Bad - long lines to get the car, high prices, and at the end they billed me 2 times for 1 rental. Contacted them to resolve and got no where. Eventually had to launch a dispute through American Express to get resolved.
I had very bad experience with Sixt Rent a car today. Waited in line about 1 hour with my kids. They still didnt gave a car for the price I Reserved for. They tried to triple charge me. Manager was very mean to me, told me if you dont like to can leave. Im not recommending for other people. I would give even 0 stars
Miami Airport Sixt Rental spot took over 1 hour wait time to get my receipt so I can get my vehicle. There should be a line for people who already answered and agreed to all of the rules and terms and options and paid in full already so they can just go straight to the car pickup. Instead had to wait over 1 hour and when got to the agent, took only 7 minutes as he asked the same exact questions I already answered online. What the heck was the point of doing anything online at all? Not to save time thats for sure. Also they surprise you with a large $500 deposit?! Why if the vehicle has full coverage insurance, and you take the No Fault options why would you still need a $500 deposit? Makes no sense. There should be separate lines for those that already did everything online and those whom are inquiring and selecting vehicles and what insurance, GPS, tollEZpass, options in person, for the agent to upsell, etc. Besides the long draining wait time the rest of the car rental was great. But waiting so long for useless repeated questions was draining and such a sore spot I would never use Sixt Car Rental again.
Waited 45 minutes with my 3 kids on counter line. They spent another 30 minutes at counter to checked in. Counter lady said wait for another 10 minutes the vehicle is getting ready for you. After 10 minutes they said we don’t have vehicle for you and refuse to accept the booking.
I was very pleased with the service that I received by the lady at the desk she went out of her way to make sure that we had the best Experience possible
Truly unethical company! Save yourselves and go to a more reputable company like Avis or Enterprise. The first car they gave me was nasty. It was in a dark garage so I didnt see it until I got home. After traveling for 12 hours, I had to back to the airport to exchange it. They lied and told me it was Expedia who charges $5 per toll if you dont have a transponder. Expedia told me it was Sixt and they often give out misleading information. I got another car even though my gut told me to cancel it all and go with someone else. I had manager do a walk through with me before I left. Upon my return, I did another walk through and left. FOUR days later I am getting a damage report even though I had paid A LOT Of money for coverage. Mind you, they charged this without approval but I kept it because I could not bare dealing with them again. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. Very unethical practices from start to finish. I will gladly get an attorney to fight these allegations. Nothing happened to the car in my possession. A TRUE SCAM!!!!!
The vehicle I rented from SIXT locked me out with the FOB in the car. This is an impossibility but it happened to me. I contacted the Company emergency number I explained the car was running, the keys were inside as well my cell phone and luggage and I was on my way to the airport. The rep took my info and said someone would contact me back shortly. No one ever did and I was not able to get another operator on the line. I had to get AAA to help me get in the car. The experience was not a pleasant one,.
One of the easiest and most smooth process of renting a car Ive ever experienced, especially with it being at an airport!!!Will definitely be renting from this company again. We were able to use The cars navigation system which came in very handy.
Standing since 1h in line and waiting to pick up a car; only half the counters are availableWhy does it have to take so long to puck up a car? what about (digital) onboarding and focusing on customer experience?
Car had roaches in it. Customer service over the phone was not very helpful. at the counter they were great. And the security deposit required for the rental was not explicitly clear on the site (maybe it was in fine print.... but i guess that was the catch). What would have happened if I did not have the availability on my CC?????
Horrible cancellation policy and horrible customer service. They tried to charge 2x the rate of the other rental services at the airport for a lower quality car. After wasting an hour with unhelpful customer service, I ended up having to do a chargeback on my card and walked over to the Enterprise counter a few steps away and got a better car for half the price, and better customer service to boot. Will not be using Sixt again.

I was skeptical at first beings some of the reviews I read never using them before but honestly it was one of the best experiences Ive had with a rental place! I went in with a plan b because of the reviews I read and left with a new go to rental place.. we had our car with 15 min, easy return, no extra fees like everyone claims with a reservation and I received my deposit back 3 days after car return!! I have never received a deposit back that fast, I would give 10 stars if I could...

I was charged $400.00 more than I was quoted when I booked my rental vehicle 3 weeks prior to my trip. When I questioned their salesman, he told me my original quote did not include fees and taxes. Then he tried to upsell me a for other expenses! Come to find out after reading other reviews, that Sixt agents will regularly add additional expenses that are not necessarily required (such as their insurance), and tell you that they are. Only after emailing the manager and complaining about their shady business practices did they refund my money. The car was nice, but I will never rent from them again. What a terrible way to begin a family vacation to visit Miami.
This was my first rental with Sixt. I found the wait time at the airport to be great and the agent that helped me was fantastic. My problems began with the car...a Mercedes Benz, which I got for a great price btw. The first one had low coolant....brought that one back....next one had low oil....but the 3rd time was a charm and the car worked great.I was a little turned off at the lack of apologies from any of the staff....It felt to me like they though I was being more of a nuance. There was one agent who finally understood my struggles and tried to bring around our 3rd replacement car close to second car to make it easy to transfer bags.
I’m nervous I haven’t rented the car yet I hope I don’t have any issues as I was reading the reviews. I’ll come back next week to post a better review if it goes well
The car rental was great. But i did not expect to be charged 66.00 for gas. That is the only reason for the two stars. Im back in my city and three days later I have yet to see my invoice or the break down of these charges.

Had a great experience at Sixt in Miami. Got a Brand New Volvo S90. It was really nice. Great Price as well. I will rent from them again.

Was a little late coming in on the flight. They still gave me a rental no questions asked. Previously I had changed my original times due to the airline changing our flight. They also did not charge for that change. So I will now be a repeat customer. Enterprise lost my business when I waited over an hr. With my family downstairs in the garage. We watched as other came and went from other flights. I did a lot of business with them but that didnt need to happen. Now Im a Sixt customer.
I was a bit skeptic at first, due to never using or hearing about this company. From reserving the vehicle, checking in at the front desk, picking up the vehicle and returning it. 100% satisfied. I would recommend this company to anyone. Website is user friendly, cars are in great and new condition and returning it couldnt be any easier. Ive read a few reviews stating that the company is pricey. I actually did my research and found them to be one of the least expensive. And the quality of vehicles is top notch. Wish I couldve rented the Range Rover but it was a bit out of my price range.
A nightmare from the start. I rented a Mercedes for our honeymoon and soon as we got into the car it reaked of weed. Then it had half a tank of gas and I was told to bring it back full. Then to make it even better, an hr into the drive it told me there is no oil in the car. So here I am on my honeymoon getting the car serviced and wasting an entire day. The kicker is as of now, I have to pay for the oil change! Another fun fact, we waited 2 hrs at the airport to get the car, I understand everywhere is under staffed. But when you have a guy just walking around offering shots of expresso and not on a computer helping the line its a joke from the start. I cannot get a day back from my honeymoon so I want this car fully refunded asap.
Worst customer experience. They charge you for anything even if it’s their own fault.
First time renter from SIXT, it wont be the last. Great car and great deal.

Great experience. Picked up at Miami 2 weeks ago and dropped of at Ft Meyers. It was perfect, booked in advance, rates were better that other companies for same vehicle. Customer service and the vehicle were great. I’ve used them before, they do a good job.
Woooow. Jean Franco checked me in and was very exceptional. He made sure my entire group got a bottle of water and welcomed us to Miami. Theres no Sixt rent a car without the men who port in the vehicles and make sure you have the keys to drive off. So thanks to Henry and Jose you make a big impact on the Sixt brand and show what great customer service looks like. Thanks Guys, you made my vacation even better.
