Everything was great till he said my $300,000 liability insurance wasnt enough. Wanted to charge me $30 a day for liability my collision was enough or it would have been$40 a day. Needles to say I didnt rent. I went to the airport where my coverage was plenty.

BIGGEST tourist TRAP in all of Miami.Be very careful. Beside the lousy service.This place is a SCAM. They wont rent to you anything unless they could shove an extra charge, for something you are not supposed to pay. If theyre not able to shove that extra charge they will absolutely not rent. It is a total scan.So whatever you think youre paying. thats wrong. Youre paying for some extra charge.If you go through all the details and they werent able to shove you another charge the guy will simply tell you I dont want to rent you a car.Is it because these races maybe?Is it because they dont have enough profit without extra charges maybe?However youre walking into an extra charge cave hopefully youll make it out alive.If thats the type of service youre looking for? Never again.

TERRIBLE!!! Quoted me $65 for a compact car for the week. Sounds good until you get there, won’t take my insurance which covers rental cars. Their insurance way overpriced(only covers liability). WALKED OUT but I think I left my own keys. Called back to ask about them, left me on hold forever. Hung up and tried to call back and I must be blocked.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They have a short list of insurance companies that they will accept from the customer. If you dont belong to any of them, good luck. Unless you buy their insurance, which is way overpriced, you are not getting a cat!!! The best thing you can do for yourself is to stay away from this company!
There are some charges that arent expected when you check out, so although it seems like youre getting a deal when you book, the total price is comparable to the big auto rental agencies. With that aside, there werent any problems. I was happy with my car. But most importantly, I want to give a huge shout out to Douglas (man behind the counter) who was super friendly and helpful. Whoever is in charge... give this man a pay raise!
They never provide actual charges when you make your reservation online. When I made the reservation online it gave me $150 for three days, however later upon checking in they pushed additional $300 charges.Moreover, I wanted to use my own insurance (widely known) and they refused and said that they don’t accept that insurance.I refused that type of service and had to wait at their office for over an hour until I got a taxi to the hotel.Worst service ever!!!

Great customer service! My car had push to start. I dropped my wife and kids at the airport before returning the car. My wife had the keys!! Mike was very good about getting me back quickly to get the keys. Any problems, ask for Mike!

After not being able to rent a car in the airport for 2 hours due to multiple factors, either places out of cars, not renting with a debit card or doing credit checks I went outside the airport. I was approached by Carlos the shuttle driver of U-save. He asked if I needed a car and said I could rent with a debit card & no credit check. I went down to u-save which is just a couple mins from the airport and was able to get a brand new 2021 rental. I highly recommend this company
Horrible service, worse Ive ever had! If I could give them negative 5 stars, I would. We got there and they told us that they sent me and e-mail and I never responded so they cancelled my reservation. We were stranded in an unknown state and our plans were ruined. Come to find out later they said we still had a reservation, but our car was not ready and we would have to wait. I kept calling but no one could tell me how long we had to wait. I was hung up on several times by multiple people. We ended up having to rent a car last minute and pay double! Then I had to call and wait for almost an hour to get my refund. Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not recommend at all.
I worked in car rentals for 2 years and here are my 2 cents: Dont book with them, youll be sorry you did. Online reservations and deposits are nothing but useless since theyll push for extra charges upon pick up and wont accept your insurance. A $90 online rental almost became a $250 at the office havent I declined it altogether.
I booked my rental through expedia. They offered $9 a day for car rental and $10 for insurance when I got to the rental company they said for extra insurance that is mandatory I would have to pay $29 dollars more per day. I think the whole thing is ridiculous. I keep calling them to cancel and no one picks up the phone. I dont recommend USave to anyone.

Negative experience!!Is not located in the rental center. Have to take a train to the airport and a shuttle to the rental facility.Worst customer service ever. I arrived at the rental car location and as directed I called for the shuttle they took for ever. When I got to the counter no one was there, we waited over 30 minutes at the waiting room the employee never showed up.
Do not use it’s a scam. The price of your reservation is not what you pay. They claim you need to have 400,000 in insurance to rent the car And when you don’t you must pay an additional 29.99 dollars a day... doubled my reservation....

They charged an extra $200 for no reason or explanation a day after I returned it. I returned the car with a full tank and on time. When I called them (their Miami number) it went to their corporate office and got a voice-mail. No call back explaining why I was mysteriously charged this. Avoid them. They have made no effort in contacting me. SCAM COMPANY.

Literally the worst experience Ive ever had with a reservation of any type anywhere in the world. We show up, coming directly from our flight for which they have the info, and they say theres no car available for us. They actually do have cars but not in the class we reserved, so no we just cannot have any car. We asked what to do and they said go back to the airport and try another place. We ended up having to leave with no rental given the hour. No matter what price is quoted AVOID AVOID AVOID. Also the place is absolutely disgusting inside and throughout the whole experience the staff member at the desk could not have been more rude.
Over all U-save provided us with terrific care and service. From the very first moment we came in contact with the shuttle driver we were greeted with a warm smile and such gentle care, very nice gentleman . At the establishment they were quick and efficient while taking care of us . Pricing was very accesible, they were upfront about their fees and specific about the terms of return. The car was in great shape it took us all around town for a whole week with no issues, great mpg, clean and very adequate for the Miami area. I’d like to encourage people to use them as your car rental agency. As they will take really good care of you for better rates than bigger names . Wonderful service, thank y’all so much !

Per day charge is accurate, but do not use if you do not have 250 k + in liability insurance. The service is slow due to the surprising difference in price at the counter. The only saving grace is that the staff is nice considering how upset people can be.Update: 1 star - After waiting an hour and a half to get the car I had to pay $25 to fill it up. But if that werent enough, I only made it 30 minutes before the low tire pressure light came on. Needless to say, I went back to returned the car. This was by far the worst rental experience Ive ever had.
Horrible service. The car I received was disgusting. Dirty everywhere, I even found a tampons in the car. With the COVID situation they should clean it after every costumer. I paid 45$ a day for insurance and my car was 17$ a day.
Personnel is friendly but if you want to get a great deal, this is probably not the right place for you as they make you purchase their excessively expensive insurance cover. Luckily I had the Collision Damage Waiver covered via my AMEX credit card but they made me buy the Supplemental Liability Insurance for $29/day! Clearly a rip-off.

I booked the car and when I showed up at the desk they forced me to buy their insurance, even though I had coverage from my Allstate policy for rentals and from my credit card. They said I could not drive the car without buying their insurance. I have rented cars from several companies and they had never forced me to buy their insurance. When I looked on google if they could force me to do it all the information I found(you could look up yourself) says very clearly that rental car companies cannot force you to buy their insurance if you have proof of insurance, like I had. Their sun pass daily rate for passing the tolls is the most expensive among all rental car companies I have ever used(Budget, Dollar, Thrifty, Sixt, Royal, Enterprise, Alamo). Don’t be fooled by the low rate they advertised, at the end you will pay the same or more than Hertz or Avis.
Had a very smooth experience. The only thing to consider is the price you’re getting online is not accurate and not anywhere close to what you pay, but overall great experience!
U Save was very seamless. They had a car ready and waiting for me! Clean car & clean car smell. I will admit the app I found the car rental said it included fees, however, there were additional fees that I had to pay that I wasn’t expecting such as car insurance & I ended up adding FL Tolls to my reservation too. They ended up upgrading me to a better car for the confusion. What I really liked it is that they were always available to talk to. They sent me text messages on how to find the rental place once I landed. They even called me 30 minutes prior of my drop off time to remind me so I wouldn’t incur a late fee! Very nice! Shuttle taking you to and from airport and rental was nice and clean also fast. Overall great experience and even with the extra charges was all under $65 which was still a deal!

Don’t rent here! They don’t rent cars, they sell insurance. Retails at $2 and charge $50 a day for insurance plus $15 sunpass plus taxs.Cars are dirty, tank was not full and lots of damages on the car.
They lost our car keys and we are here without being able to go after a long and tired trip. After a hour they still can’t figure out where is our car keys. We spoke with Angiely Requenz the manager and she didnt even apologize and just said that they park over 100 cars a week and things just happen currently stranded! No solution in sight. Very frustrating. No work ethic or professionalism.

Horrible horrible horrible. We booked a 6 am car rental and arrived for the shuttle at 5:30. We were assured repeatedly that the shuttle arrives every 15 minutes, and waited 45 minutes for a shuttle. When we finally got a hold of a representative, they said that the shuttle doesn’t start until 7 am. Nonsense. Why allow someone to set up a 6 am rental if you open an hour after that?
I have reserved a car 2 month in advance of my trip to Miami. When I came to pick it up, I was told that I have to purchase an insurance. I explained to them that one of the benefits of credit card company Chase Ink, that I was using to pay for the rent, is insurance (complete coverage). I called to the bank and confirmed it. The U-Save representative refused to let me use Chase’s insurance coverage. He also refused to let me use my own car coverage. In order to get the car, I had to pay $271 extra.
The renting has been good, the staff attentive, pleasant and very friendly. The car was delivered clean and in perfect condition.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I’m going to have to make claims with my credit card company for charges that were added on when I did not approve of them. They’re service is awful. We broke down due to the car we got breaking down and we could reach someone for an hour. We were causing traffic and when they had to bring us a new car they added 300 of charges because they brought me a new rental. When I dropped my car off at the end of my trip, they said that I dropped it off late and that they would be charging me extra AGAIN. I had until 12:00 pm to bring the car back and brought it at 5:00 am. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT rent from this place. Very typical bait and switch tactic. You will get a great price from kayak or whatever online travel place you use, even them directly. Called their customer service, just to confirm the rate and what I need to have to make sure I keep that rate. Confirmed that they will accept my car insurance. However, when you get there, they will start giving you all different reasons why you need to pay more, majority being that they will not accept your insurance or even if they accept your insurance you probably will not have a high enough coverage for them. And it easily triples the rate that they originally quoted you, at which point you have no choice but to take the rental. I told them about my conversation with their customer service but they said the customer service was wrong and theres nothing they can do about it now. Place also looks like a rundown warehouse. And the hell I got from them when I needed to extend my rental by a day. Stay away, stay away, stay away!
By far the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Spent $800 when I was expecting to pay $250. I chose to use my own insurance which they wouldn’t accept because it wasn’t one of the 10 they do accept. However that was not clearly stated when I was renting the car. So we were charged an extra $33/day for their insurance. Did not receive my security deposit of $200 because they claim we went through tolls, but can’t give me proof of what days or times that happened. I know for a fact we did not go through any tolls. Customer service not helpful at all. Very disappointed. Save your money and go somewhere els!

Sketchy place. It will appear that youve saved a bunch of money. Then youll show up and they will not take your insurance or your credit cards waiver. They will also tack on all kinds of extra fees. While theyre doing this, they will act like you are a major inconvenience to them. I would avoid. Youre going to spend the same amount as a big rental agency in the end.Edited to also add...to add insult to injury, our car ended up being infested with roaches and the rental place was completely unavailable by phone. Horrific.

The customer service lady was very rude and lied about extensions on the vehicle. They hung up the phone on me as I asked to speak to a manager when I called back a second time. First of all, you are forced to sign up for expensive per-day auto insurance on top of your personal insurance, which they hide in the fine print and spring on you when youre about to get your keys. They also charge $15 a day for the toll transponder, another extra charge and a huge profit for them.Lastly, be sure to get a RECORDING of them promising to return your deposit quickly. I was almost out $250 because they still hadnt returned the deposit two weeks later. All in all, the car was great but the people running this place are out to nickle and dime you at every opportunity and you have to be careful to have proof of what they say.

Terrible customer service from the very beginning. They are not even located in the Car Rental Concourse of the airport. I ordered this car through Expedia. They never tell you how to get to your car when you rent it through Expedia. Logically, they would have a service desk beside Hertz and Budget Rental. Nope, they don’t tell you that until after you rented a car. You have to search for a shuttle. $1,100.00 from 4/15 to 4/19 and a compact car is not my idea of U Save. When I tried to return the car on 4/19 it was a fiasco and was never even greeted to asked if I could be helped. Don’t waste your time and money on this place. They are rude and unprofessional.

Complete waste of time, especially after being their first client of the day, having to wait 30 minutes for “the boss” to arrive, he already knew that he had to put on a performance to sell their insurance. Other then that, they NEVER answer the phone, there is a $250 deposit fee, that I am now waiting to see if I get the refund. Thank god I had a smooth sail and the car was in good condition but I would not recommend this company. In case you need assistance over the phone you will not be attended. This was the most frustrating and aggravating rental experience I’ve ever had. I agree with almost everything that previous reviewers complained about. My biggest issue was communication. I called their number probably 100+ times in attempts to reach them for several reasons and NEVER got a answer or response. They leave you for dead. The only way I was able to get in touch with them was to DRIVE ALL THE WAY BACK TO THEIR LOCATION. The first car they gave me, the power didn’t work, though it was an easy exchange, this only happened because I drove back to them and said I needed another car. Their prices are outrageous as everyone else has expressed. They have a hefty deposit. Upon returning the vehicle, they were not opened and there was nothing in the contact or anything about how to return the car outside of their hours of operation. This led to me being even more frustrated and just leaving the key in the drop box not knowing if I needed to include anything else. Then I had to race to the airport and my gate. I kept calling throughout the day and STILL didn’t get an answer to confirm they got my return. We will see if I get my deposit back! DON’T RECOMMEND.
It has vehicles in good condition, they are checked and delivered in perfect clean condition. The treatment is close and familiar. Highly recommended.
Just awful!!! Everyone there is really rude. When I returned the car one of the guys was inspecting it and as soon as he was done he walked away without saying a word to me and didn’t even bother holding the door walking back inside, and we had questions and he would just totally ignore us. I will never rent here again plus like another girl mentioned they have all these extra fees our total was supposed to be 300 and ended up being 600 take your money elsewhere
I definitely give this place five stars. The customer service rep Raz, helped us out tremendously. He actually stayed an hour overtime to make sure we were picked up from the airport and we got our car rental an hour after they closed. Stellar customer service. Highly recommend.

Unprofessional, not on time and you will pay far more than agreed to originally.My wife and I booked through U-Save because of the discounted pricing. When we arrived, we waited about 20 minutes for anyone to even greet us. Then, after discussing insurance, it turns out that my insurance was not adequate by their standards; however, Enterprise, Hertz and Avis have NEVER once had an issue with my insurance. This increased the price from ~$58 to over $200. Needless to say, I didnt rent the vehicle from in the end and went back to Enterprise and was in and out within 10 minutes.If youre going to provide awful customer service, and basically have a bait and switch business model, I dont see how anyone would choose to do business with you. SHAME ON U-SAVE. What a way to start our vacation.Please dont give this company your time or money.
The most terrible experience EVER! We came there with our two little kids and had a reservation on a car through expedia. The people in front of us already had an issue as we walked in, but we were hopeful it will be a good experience for us. Michael was VERY rude, he even left the place while taking care of us and he was speaking Spanish to ignore us. We just wanted the same deal as it was shown on Expedia. As we were leaving the place without a car, the customers behind us took 5 minutes to also leave that horrible place. Note to ourselves: do not use any shady rental places.
Similar experience as a previous customer. We booked in advance and were given a price which included taxes and fees. After arriving to the location, which was pretty filthy, it took about 20 minutes for us to even be greeted. The person working the front desk totally tried to scam us. He said our total would be an additional $200 ! I expected the possibility of additional fees but not that much. When we asked why, he stated it was including the “basic” insurance, so we opted to use our own through Progressive. He requested proof of our policy and after being shown he stated our insurance was “too cheap”. We have booked car rentals with several other company’s and have never had an issue with our insurance being insufficient. We ended up walking out and having to Uber back to the airport. We booked with another company and even being last minute, it was still cheaper than this place.

Guys charge you for everything. Rent on line for $90 in Expedia, but the quote ended up being more than $220. Mandatory to but their insurance and $15 of daily tolls. Ourrageous.

We picked this rental place because their website listed a car rental for $300 for an entire week. When we went to pick up our car we were shocked when they told us we had to pay $663 for the week. Turns out they charged us for insurance and a bunch of other add ons that they didn’t tell us about. The building is super sketchy, my husband was sure we were going to get mugged. Never ever rent from this place, stick with one of the big name rental places inside the airport.

Total scam. Be careful when you rent online. They give you low price online and when you are there they don’t honor the price they gave you .the cars are beat up and scratched or has a body damage ( dent)most of them roll up window. Worst customer service ever . I do have pictures and all the documents if someone wants prove .
