Hertz rental. Considering the place is in one of the busiest travel airports in the US, the service was not too bad. The week we were there if you didnt have a reservation, there was no cars. The lines in the other car rental places were honestly 30 plus deep. The car we rented was a Chevy Spark. It was super clean. It only had 3,500 miles on it. Overall, I would rent from them again.
We rented from Thrifty, which happened to be closed when we got to the counter, and we were redirected to another rental place. They were quite busy, since everyone had be redirected like us, but they handled the people quick and efficiently. My checkout person was really friendly and had me set up within 5 minutes. Once downstairs, we were able to pick the car for our rental and just go - no check out, no stopping to let them know which car we took. It was great. Highly recommend.
The car central houses all the car rental agencies. We had rented a car from budget and prepaid but when we got to budget they said no more cars.Luckily other car rental agencies had Cars but we ended up paying alot more.We originally rented a convertible from budget for $360 and ended up renting a convertible from family for $610.The car was like new and we enjoyed it. The guy selling us the car felt like he was scamming us since he was going around all our questions. He told me one thing and charged me for another. Its only a couple bucks but check your agreement before leaving.
Initial service was good, however; we stayed in line almost 3hrs waiting to get to the counter. It appears that every customer in the airport was waiting on them and they just werent staffed for that amount of foot traffic. Almost every person had reservations and being in line had us 3hrs late for our pickup but they still accommodated
Avis is the worst. Get ready to wait more then an hour or more, to get your car. They ran out of vehicles. When I was in line. Be forewarned!!!Corporates cut back on Staff. Only 1 agent to work the counter. Not blaming the customer service agent. Theyre doing a professional job by themselves. Not blaming them. Corporate office cut back on personal, even though people are still traveling. Avis has to do better period by staffing the Miami international Airport location, to meet customer expectations!!! Will open my options up next time I travel to Miami. Loyalty only goes so far
No problem whatsoever. Smooth transaction. They explained to me everything I needed to know. A city I haven’t been to, this was a plus for me.
Our rental was fine, the return went smoothly, but picking up the car was another thing. We have never gone through such a rigamarole to get a car. For one thing, we had to walk what seemed like the length of a football field. My husband asked someone by the Avis desk where we could pick up the car we were sent downstairs. We were second in line. It too about 15 mins.,only to find out that you have to an Avis member. No one else in line, so back upstairs with our luggage, where my husband stood in line for nearly 2 hours. At first there was only one person to take care of all those people. Finally two more showed up, still the line crawled. We didnt just show up expecting a car, we had reserved one online already. We were very disappointed in the service.
Rental center was fine. Hertz gave us a return location that was no longer in business in the ghetto and couldnt get anyone on the phone. Finally found this location. Overpriced and under-quality service when I use Hertz. I try to avoid them at all costs.
I had a reservation for Sixth Car Rental I was under the impression being that I paid for the rental in full online that I will be able to get the luxury car. They wouldnt allow me the luxury car without a $500 extra deposit. Then the insurance I had brought prior to the rental only covers the rental not the other person if I get in a accident.
The distance from the main airport to the shuttle to get to the car rental center is way too far. There needs to be a better way to get there without all the walking with your luggage just to get to the shuttle to get to the rental car center, other then that the center was nice and the different rental car companies were all together but still separated.
Very quick and easy. We used Avis, and they were super friendly and informative. It is a bit far from baggage claim, to get ready to walk and take the train there. But it’s impossible to get lost, there are signs everywhere leading you to the rentals.
Came here for a heart attack. Not me, a customer. Im an emt. Seems as good a place as any for heart stoppage.
Fast and really clean area. Friendly and very good organized. Always Im hiring here my car. Good service and recommended!
Very peaceful and all employees at tge Enterprise desk and delivery of car were superb. THANK YOU.
It took a bit to get threw the original line, especially because only one self pickup kiosk was on but out of the ten people we watched try to use it only one got it to scan there ID. It wouldnt work for us either. They guys downstairs are great. We had a problem with our mustang and they let us swap it out with almost anything we wanted.
Its been over 7 years since I rented a car from MIA International Airport. So at first it looked like a maze to get to the rental cars pickup. Following the signs were a little difficult at first. And finding parking should have been easier. But I guess the location caters more to people coming off a flight. Either way, its cool to see all rental companies are all under one roof. Makes it easy if you need to switch up. The only issue is I rented a car from Avis and went to the garage to retrieve the car. There was no inspection of the car like Im used to from independent rental locations. When I got home, I saw the car had front bumper/ hood damage. But overall the car center was easy, convenient and efficent.
Sixt is the best. They even give free Cuban coffee
Almost impossible to find from the terminals. Signs just guide you all the way to nowhere and you have to pull over to find it using Google Maps or whatever. So frustrating.
The structure is very easy to find your way around. The company I rented from was very under staffed
Had to get a bigger car and was able to do it with no hazzle.
There were several rental terminals closed and they consolidated all of them into one line. There was literally over 100 people in line waiting for a car. The staff was very helpful and nice once we finally reached the desk, but that took forever. After a day of flying, no one wants to spend several hours standing in line.
Except for the very long walk to the center, everything else was good. Signs are a bit unclear about where to get your car. I was not sure what floor I entered on so noting that somewhere would be helpful.
The Agent was awesome however he was the only working the line was long and the Agent decided to take a break leaving him alone knowing the place was packed. Its a shame Alamo needs to hire more people
I would love to say it was a better set-up. We rent from Sixth, but all the rental companies were busy and what appeared understaffed for the quantity of people coming in on an early Tuesday afternoon. I will say that gentleman at Sixt who helped us was amazingly patient and kind. P.S. My word of advice to anyone, ALWAYS make a reservation as soon as you know youre going someplace. Have a blessed day to you all!
Great Variety of cars rental agencies in one spot. Prompt service and got a great deal on a Cammaro SS from Hertz! $300 for 3days with insurance included!!
I was waiting in line for over 45 minutes to see a rep to take care. When you see theres lots of people they have to add more window clerks, not to flirt and spend time with the females. Also the way I was treated with such NO respect and no manners. Whatever I said or asked he answered me nothing what we asked. For example, I had made my car reservation in advance online my card was charged and they took extra money for security deposit when finally I got to the window, first I greeted him, then I gave him my printout of my reservation, he asked me for my drivers license and cc and I gave it to him. He charged it again the total amount plus $250.00 for security. So I was charged twice. I asked him why is he charging me again, he didnt answer me. Today Ill be bz with the bank and discuss all charges on my card.
Picking up car from Sixt is a loooong prices, maybe 10 customers ahead of us, 4 associates at any given time working, still took more than an hour. Cars are good, but after multiple delays and a hike through the airport you want this process to be fast. To be fair: returning is a snap! You arrive, they guide you to where to park, before you have your luggage out of the car they already check around for damage, fuel, miles etc. Show your name and email on their phone to make sure its correct and then tell you all is good and theyll email the bill. All in all maybe 10 minutes! I highly recommend only returning cars to Sixt not renting (if that was possible).
I rent an Avis car, the process of getting it was very professional and smooth. The Kia car is almost brand new. Clean and ready to take off.
Super easy and friendly staff at Enterprise when we returned the car. They even gave us a refund because the car smelled like smoke when we first got it.
Huge improvement from the past! Incredibly spacious, even clean. Very easy, smooth connection to main terminal via the MIA-Mover train. No bus shuttles!
Actually way easier than I thought it was going to be. Plenty of signs to get you in and out. Everyone we had to encounter was friendly and helpful. It is a long way from the main terminal. So if youre coming or going make sure youre planning the time to get from car drop off back to your flight departure.
This centralized car rental location is easy to get in and out. I really like this location versus what Ive seen at many other airports.
When you book through a search engine website READ THE FINE PRINT. I was able to rent a vehicle and pay for it up front UNTIL it was time to get the vehicle. At the budget counter I was told they couldnt give me a car due to me using debit card. I do not like using CC for this transaction. I had to rent off site with a shady company and had to pay a ridiculous amount to rent a smaller car. Worst experience ever.
One stop shopping for a rental car! The best set up possible as oppose to Philadelphia International Airport. All of the car rental companies are under one roof. Very organized as well. I first experienced this at Phoenix Airport. All airports need to be like this!
DO NOT expect any assistance after midnight from some of the rental car places. ONLY AVIS and ALAMO were open after midnight (per my experience) on a Friday night. Have UBER /LYFT accounts already on your cell... probably the fastest way to get to your hotel other than having friends waiting to pick you up.
I was happy, got a New Car with 5 miles still in shipping mode.It was a Kia Sorrento, I must say, my impression of KIA cars have changed somewhat, car was nice and spacious with alot new technology.Rental center was crowded, to be expected since many others were closed due to the pandemic.Line was long but the counter person was very helpful and polite, explained everything and did not pressure me to take the extra insurance coverage.Rental agency was Budget
They gave me a great deal just didnt like it when they did a credit check
Great deal o. A weekly rental while I was here. Car was mid size brand new 2021 impala. Great service at Hertz🙂
Take the tram from the airport and find the area for your dealer by following the signs. With Hertz, the attendant directs you to the area of cars you can pick from and off you go. Very fast.
Easy to locate, well organized, easy to get in and out. All cars are alphabetically organized.
Ace rental charged way more than the quoted price at time of reservation. They said we would be going through toll roads and suggested we get the toll pass, so we said sure but we didnt go through one toll on our way to the keys, so I feel this was misleading. I will ask for a refund on that!! FYI if they ask will your spouse will be driving just say no because they will charge you an arm and leg if you say yes.
Yeah it definitely seemed like you were in a cattle car just getting processed through. Very very very long walk from the terminal. Has to be a better way, the train is not even in the right place to get over there.
Budget had 800 ppl in line with 4 agents.LOLOk Ok, not 800, but at least 40 ppl were ahead of me and 12 behind me. I waited in line for 1.5 hours before giving up.Be prepared to wait UNLESS you are 1st in line.
Bad experience in the night. Hours and hours for take the car. I dont recommend this in the night you have to sleep in the floor.
Relatively easy access from the airport. Signs were clear with directions. Only negative was just 1 exit booth open. Apparently that issue was corrected during my stay in line.
What a disaster. The lines are huge and most of the employees dont care and just take their sweet time walking slow and not immediately taking the next customer on line. The lines are so long it blocks the flow of traffic through this portion of the airport. The saving grace was the nice older Hispanic lady who helped us get our rental!
Easy to use once you get to it. A long walk from Gates to get to the Miami Mover train.
Pleased with the price but communication on how to find and locate vehicle was not great as well with the opportunity of upgrading vehicle.MeekandZekeOn Twitter: @meekandzOn Instagram: MeekandZekeOn YouTube: MeekandZekeOn Stationhead: MeekandZekeOn Facebook: Meek Zeke
Avis cars were we in poor condition and not well maintained. The transmission failed on the first car that was kept for 2 days of the rental. A lower class car was provided for the last 5 days with no adjustment to the rate charged.
The lady we dealt with at the counter was very rude but the.guys downstairs who handle the cars were.very helpful and very quick to get us taken care of.
Very far away from the terminals compared to other airports. Long walks and a train ride. The lip of the train is not flush with the entrance door so it was very hard to push my cart onto the MIA Mover train. They should smooth that out. Also the train entry and egress are the same aide. When I got to the rental place it was also not clear where to return luggage carts.
Waited an hour in line to get a car I pre reserved. Everything was fine once I got thru the line.
We made a reservation with Hertz and needed to pick up the car in Miami. There is a tram that will take you to the rental center so factor that time when you return the car to make your flight. The Hertz members were friendly and fast.
Good...but 2 hrs waiting line..and the car got broken at the 2nd day n have to change it
A clean facility with all major and local rental car businesses. It is well connected to local ride-share and public transport as well as airport shuttles and coaches. It could use more seating amenities so that visitors dont sit and lounge on the modern planters and installations.
Excellent service. Use them every year for my family vacation. Never had any issue. This was year 3 of using them.
Great service and cleanliness. Needed more direction on the floor for guidance to and from rental. Not just a general shpill from the counter worker.
Rosemary at MIA Avis was amazing! We needed to exchange the vehicle we rented in Fort Lauderdale an hour before and Rosemary went above and beyond to get us the right vehicle. She was super nice and super helpful. I had really thought our vacation was going to be ruined because of what we got stuck with but she took the time to get our vacation back on track. She was great to visit with while trying to square away paperwork. Thank you Rosemary so much for all your help!!
Its horrible you have to walk miles to get there. This is the worst airport when it comes to renting vehicles..
I waited in line for 2hours and 10 minutes which is 12 minutes longer than the flight from Houston took. The staff was friendly and courteous, but the wait was ridiculous. When I asked if this was uncommon, the response was no, its like this every day. Additionally, the car was not clean. There was a half full coke bottle, the inside windows and dash were dirty.
Rachelle at Enterprise is AWESOME.... So are the other guys, but I have to give Her higher notice... She went above and beyond Her duties to help us.. Great team at Enterprise and the Miami Rental Car Center..
I used Hertz. I reserved online. It was a very polite lady that helped me to check in at the airport. I got a good rate online because I was flying from another country. I only had to present my boarding pass and license. No surprises at all and I dropped the car in a location that only Hertz has...That was WOW Hertz! Love to have options! I was expecting surprises, extra charges and a bad car but, I was suprised. The Chevy Malibu was a beautiful drive. If u dont speed it will give you 350 miles with half tank....my 5 cents. Drive safe... and protect ur self.
Wow, what a terrible experience. Already had a long flight and then proceeded to wait 2 hours for our rental car because the employees couldnt say no to people without reservations. They should have had one very long line for people with no reservations and allowed people who actually plan ahead to get their car much more quickly. Horrendous!
Really nice, easy to get to from.the airport. Be careful on that tram over, its quick.
Didnt honor the initial rental agreement ended up paying double for a pos Kia that sent us on a wild goose chase from Miami to key west
This place was okay but I would rent from Royal the cars are nice and clean and I feel like you can get in and out budget had a line halfway through the airport
I reserved my car a few days in advance. A drop top Mustang. Even as I arrived late due to a flight delay, my car was waiting for me in the reserved section of the parking lot.
Packed but efficient and for it being in Miami very reasonably priced. 4 stars only because you can get confused entering the place
Quick and easy rentals, but this center is just too far from the airport terminals. Its a long walk and monorail ride, about 10 minutes. Staff is friendly and service is great at National. Just wish it was closer, especially travelling with a lot of luggage and little kids.
Advantage Rent a Car is a big NO-They ask for an utility bill when you are at their counter, I bought the insurance online, they said is only a waiver, they make you buy their insurance-Miles are limited 150 daily,-My portable personal sunpass they reject it, they want me to pay an extra fee for their sunpass-When you add those extra fee price go really up-All this apply for locals only, do not fall in their cheap price TRAP. Very disappointing.
ABSOLUTELY HORIBBLE. Dont ever go here the guy was rude and didnt explain ANYTHING went home without a car and tired wouldnt even want to refund me, please dont waste your time PLEASE DONT GO TO BUDGET
It is not normal for me to give five stars, but the Rental Center at the Miami airport makes for a quick in and out. When you pick up the car, you sign your documents and proceed to the car where the keys are waiting for you.To drop the car off, simply follow the clearly marked lanes to the return spot. Drive to the end and park - leave the keys in the car.So easy and convenient.
Lets wait until I get my credit card statement. Alex is good at AVIS. very good.
There are a lot of rental cars companys, and its easy to find in the airport
Its a pretty long Miami MIA Mover tram ride from the airport itself. It works though.
I was very happy with the service and they are very friendly!!!! Deposit returned just as stated. Good company to Rent from. Thank You
Very long walk and waiting time, the lady a the counter was very professional, it calmed us down with a smile and attitude after 3 hrs in the line and after getting to the car spot and the spot was empty, ended getting the car and the color I wanted it!
Expedite...convenient and comfortable. Tram takes you directly to the airport...
A bit tricky finding your way to the tram that goes to the terminal but ask for help and youll get there. Convenient and fast rental car drop off.
Advise had my car ready, it was easy to get to my car, signage was good. Only negative is I couldnt get the GPS to get a signal until after I left the parking garage.
Very helpful.. took a while to get the rental squared away, the workers didnt know their inventory, but overall were helpful in correcting the problems.
Be prepared for a long hike to get here from the teminal. Facility was clean with all the big rental companies but stay away from Thrifty. They ruined a good portion of our celebratory anniversary trip.
Got a Alamo rental omg.. it STANK AND WATER WAS EVERYWHERE ON THE FLOORS.. JUST NASTY
We rented with Hertz. It was very easy to get in and out. We were able to pull in, park, and leave our keys in the front seat. There were trashcans nearby to easily get rid of our extra.trash in the car. You can take the people mover from there to the airport without issue.
We used budget. Very fast and easy with a big selection and nice vehicles.
DO NOT GO THERE IF YOUR TRYING TO RENT A CAR WITH OUT A RETURNING BOARD. AN DONT HAVE A CREDIT CARD THEY DONT DO DEBITS. ITS BETTER TO DEAL WITH THE OUTSIDE RENTALS IF YOUR LOCAL OF COURSE
Great choice of cars at this venue. I had Advantage this last time, and Hector took great care of me. My van had some issues, but it seemed like it was serviceable. I was told that they are selling the vans fairly soon
What a crazy place. Book with a lesser known like SIXT. The wait is outrageous. Not many places to sit and wait.
Didnt like the fact that there is no one to speak to when returning the car. I was charged extra for things I never requested.. had to cal the company later on to get the fees waved. Would have been better if someone was there speak too
