The car was fine. Returned to a different city (Orlando) and shuttle service went well. What I did not like was how the lady at the rental counter kept slipping things in. First, she tried to make me get comprehensive coverage even though my insurance covers rental vehicles. I had to call my insurance agent and have her talk to them before she agreed to not add it. Then she added some coverage for $15/day that would pay my deductible in the event of an accident. Thats nice and all, but I could have done without paying for it. The issue is that you have to sign/initial on one of those tiny credit card machines and its pretty tough to read everything. Ill probably go with one of the bigger companies next time

The representative was excellent. I made the mistake of reserving at Miami and not FLL. She said no problem. I an fix that. Not only was I able to a rental, she transferred my Miami rental to FLL. She did all this with a great attitude and big smile which I could see in her eyes and with her mask. She was excellent.

⚠️Important: If you need Roadside assistance, this Miami office DOES NOT pick-up the phone. There is no 1800 number for help.My rental was given to me dirty and with a screw in the back right tire. I only found out when I arrived near Orlando from Miami. This is dangerous for me and my family especially with the current rainy weather.They don’t pick up the phone in the Miami office. The 1800 is only for reservations and even they told me that I just have to try over and over until someone picks up the phone.I called a dozen times. Finally I called my insurance (State Farm) and they patched me through to a live person. A man who was extremely passive aggressive and rude. He patched me through with someone else who said will call me back, they connected me with Brignoni Towing. Towing company did a great job, friendly and fast.Thankfully we weren’t stuck on the side of the road, but at a families house.

The rental agent at Miami airport (MIA) tried to charge me for my daughter as a driver AFTER I told him she was not, and tried to tell me I must use their sunbelt toll pass or I would not be able to get anywhere in south Florida, and if I inadvertently used a toll road, the fines would be more than the entire rental, which is not true, its a $25.00 fine. He obviously thought I was a first timer in the area, which I am not, I travel to south Florida two or 3 times a year on average. He actually went as far as to tell me I was crazy to not purchase the Sunbelt pass.I also booked for a full size car, and wound up with a Nissan Rouge, which is some sort of crossover suv deal. When I book a full size car, I expect a full size car, period. After all their little fees and such, there was no good deal in the purchase. I could have booked with any of the larger, more reputable companies for the came amount.

Well here I thought I was saving some money - ended up paying double what I thought I was going to pay. They charge for so many things and they fail to tell they are optional. I wish they would be more thorough at explaining all the different fees. Or when you book online at least give a warning or a real estimate of the total as opposed to a low fake estimate. Honestly for how much I paid I’d rather have used a better rental company.

Do not rent a car from here. Me and a group of my friends rented a car from here and they lied to us about adding additional insurance coverage, when we already had our own, full coverage, private insurance. We showed the man the insurance card and paper work showing we had full coverage, and he lied and said we still had to pay the additional $80 anyway.We later called and talked to a woman on the phone, and she explained to us the additional coverage was OPTIONAL, not mandatory as we were told when picking up our rental. She then went on to insult our intelligence by saying some people think they have full coverage, but really dont, so thats why we were told it was mandatory. She then bluntly said she is not refunding our money and to call a different number, a number we could never get a person to answer. Funny how they pick and choose who they think has full coverage or not, even when they are shown proof of full coverage.As far as the car itself, the rims looked as if they were going to fall off. They use plastic rim covers on ALL of their cars, literally ALL of them. I took a picture to make sure we would not get charged for damage if the flimsy rims fell off. It makes the car look cheap. Also the inside of the car smelled and you can tell they did not vacuum it out from the previous person. Be cautious when renting here, they are liars and do not care about customer service. They will tell you anything to get whatever extra money out of you when picking up your rental, and then later tell you there is nothing they can do to fix their errors or their lying employees.

This is the worst car rental Ive rented a car before. The person in the counter was not polite, I asked for the pacifica as I reserved and he told me that there wasnt any at the moment, so they gave me a grand caravan. When I went to the pick up the car I notice that there was a pacifica in their lot. When I went to the car they gave me I noticed the car has some scratches and the back bumper was out, so I told the woman that was there at the moment to annotated all in the diagram of the car. I went inside the car there is an awful smell, but I decided to go. As I was driving I saw a small roach in the radio area, I killed it and move on, but then another one comes out from the same area and I freaked out. When I stopped the car I checked out the entire car and noticed that the car wasnt cleaned inside and outside, and the worst, a third roach flew out of the car. I called costumer service and they tried to pass the call to the rental center in Miami International Airport where I rented the car but, of course, no one answered. I called again and they told me that they cant do anything, that I have to deal with the local rental center. WORST costumer service EVER too!!!

Rented an SUV for a great price very nice and clean. My only issue was being charged for insurance daily when I clearly stated I had my own insurance and the older male agent asked to see my card. I didnt mind the cost for the tolls Im sure I went through plenty of them but $20.00 a day. Update! They refunded the insurance charge mistake. I appreciate the response back from the company. I would definitely rent from here again.

I’ve never rented from ACE before and was worried they were going to harass me like other car rental places. (Extremely large deposits, proof of round trip tickets, etc.) They were extremely nice. Process was fast. Will definitely do business again.

Anthony in customer service with Ace gets five stars! He by far made up the 2 shuttle conditions to pick up and drop off the vehicle. We were not totally satisfied with the vehicle they presented to us. Was not clean and found out it had mechanical issues as we traveled. However, Anthony is one of the BEST customer services representatives that Ace could have! After our vehicle broke down in the middle of nowhere, he found someone to rescue us and never quit communicating with us until be finally made it back to Las Vegas, NV to return the vehicle and make our flight home. Customer service people like Anthony are hard to find! We just cannot say enough good things as to how well he handled our somewhat scary situation!Browns & Sims

They tack on over $200 of surprise charges from the expedia booking. The whole experience felt slimy and was treated like I was dumb. I have heard car rental are like that, but I travel a lot and never felt that until this company. I would highly recommend others to use a more reputable company. As for the company yes taking advantage for customers will get you profits in the short term, but to flourish in a industry try treating your customers with some respect. Update.. My point proofing in ACE’s response to me. They are implying I am dumb for not reading their terms. Which I wanted to but when I asked questions about things. I was asked to sign I lied to and treated like I was dumb. Also I see others have the same issues with this company please don’t blame customers for your failures.

Where do I start? The service was terrible from the moment I approached the counter. The woman who was supposed to be assisting me was on her cell calling people instead of dealing with me. She never asked for the insurance and tried to bill me $300 for protection. She was so rude and non-communicative. They didnt have the size vehicle I requested and gave me a minivan (no problem, Im on vacation and Im not one of those people). The problem with the car though, is that it needs an oil change and has low pressure in the tires. I will never rent from them ever again.

I noticed some bad reviews for this place so I started not to rent with them but I’m so glad I did! Our flight to Miami was a disaster and they lost my bag so when we finally made it to the rental car center I was exhausted and so aggravated. I had a reservation with Enterprise but their counter wasn’t staffed properly and the line was so long it would have taken hours. I looked over and saw their counter and there was no wait. The people were so nice and helpful and upgraded my vehicle for free just because I was having such a rough day. We were out of there in 10 minutes. The return process was also very hassle free. My deposit has already been refunded and I just took it back this morning. I would definitely recommend based on my experience with ACE!

Just wanted to say that the clerks at the Miami airport actually tried to scam me into getting their own insurance through ace. At the check out process he spoke incredibly quick when it came to a break down of costs. He added the sun pass (ok with this because Miami is full of tolls) and then told me my options for insurance. I have never purchased insurance when renting a car, I’ve only used my own personal insurance but I’ve only rented a car in 3 states so I asked him. “Do I HAVE to purchase insurance from you? Is it required?” His answer was yes. After this point I was a bit angry since I was not notified about this extra $200 expense I wasn’t prepared for but what was I going to do since it was mandatory in Florida (in my mind) to purchase this insurance. If it wasn’t for the lady behind me tracking me down to tell me I could use my own insurance I wouldn’t have known. I ended up going back and I had to argue with him to refund the money back to me (and I have to wait until I return the car to receive the refund) his words were that I should have known better but it was him that informed me my only option was to purchase an insurance plan at an additional cost. Definitely was not happy and definitely will not be renting with ACE again. I’m not sure if the workers get paid a commission off of the add ons but he was not happy when I requested a refund

“READ THIS IF YOURE NOT FROM MIAMI”I rented a car at ACE Miami Airport for the first time and it was a complete scam (and they know it) I have rented many cars before in many states and nothing like this happened. I booked the car with all taxes and fees included for $90 and when I went there they charged me $300, while I was there I found out that they had just done the same to a couple that was waiting next to me. I had called the company to ask about how much they charge for full insurance daily right before booking and they told me $20.99 but as soon as I walked to the front desk they told me they’re charging me $38 plus other charges which I did not want or knew of. Do Not Rent Here, go to Avis or Enterprise.

This place is a SCAM. They tell you they don’t take your insurance to make you buy theirs. I have Allstate. I saw the nasty reviews, but they were cheaper so I booked them and a backup at Alamo. Of course, Alamo takes Allstate. I had a great experience with them. Don’t rent from ACE.

Usually, I do not like to leave bad reviews unless the experience it is beyond bad. Got to Miami and after an hour wait because only one employee was there I got that they ran out of cars, even though I had booked it and confirmed.If you are a fan of the movie Planes, Trains & Automobiles this is the place to use. You will have the real life experience. More realistic than any ride in Universal Studios!

Rented with Ace before at Denver airport and they were great there. Company itself is okay, prices are competitive, but some employees are trash. This time I had William at this location who was horrible. Was pushy about charging for toll pass which he insisted I would need to get to South Beach (not true at all if you take straight shot through the city). Then asked really fast which insurance I wanted (not giving me the option to decline) to which I answered the basic coverage. Even after saying I didn’t want it, he told me my total and walked off thinking I would swipe my card without noticing. When he came back, I told him to cancel it and print out what he was charging. Added the toll pass and the “basic” coverage he charged me for was CDW (collision damage waiver) at $26. I asked again was Basic the cheapest option at $26 a day, to which he said yes. Clearly collision coverage is not basic but I went with it. I knew he was lying but at this point I didnt want to argue with him. Horrible service, even worse salemans as he lies to make his sales. Had his name tag concealed, for obvious reasons, and I asked him to flip his nametag around, after he overcharged me. If William G is at the counter when you go, just go to another renter.

They clearly state that they have unlimited miles on kayak and on their site. Other rental car companies are clear that they have millage limits, UNLIKE Ace. They advertise unlimited miles, then hide a small disclaimer that there is a different millage policy for locals. Sad that they have to trick people into booking with them. Be clear like your competitors!

When a customer requests or refuses a request. Then that should be honored. Do not add charges that the customer didnt want. Also inform the customer ahead of time about all charges. Stop hiding charges. Now refund me the $107.68 you charged me for the insurance I didnt request.

Horrendous experience. They wanted to charge us for additional insurance (which would have been more expensive than the entire rental fee), which only got resolved after an hour on the phone with our booking agent; the car had more damage than indicated (shocking I know) and no checkout personell to report the damage and after all this, and once we finally had the kids and luggage in the car, we realised that the car smelled like cigaratte smoke (which I am sure ACE will fine us for as well)...will never use them again.

The guy at the counter told me I needed to sign up for the Sunpass for tolls which was around $10 per day. He made it sound like there was no other option but looking back I’m convinced I was being taken advantage of. Why couldn’t they just bill me for the tolls after I return the car? That would have saved me a fair amount of money. They also tried to convince me I needed extra insurance which I declined because of my own car insurance coverage. It just seemed shady.I have to say though, with the exception of the above, everything went smoothly. I don’t recommend renting from here. I recommend looking at the reviews on Google and Tripadvisor for various car rental companies in the area and choosing based on that, not solely on the cheapest price.

Be careful these people will scam you. Prices always change when you drop off your car. Be aware of the hidden fees. The management and staff at Miami airport is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. They only had want your money and cannot help you with anything. We are very aware of how many people have experienced this. This is the worst car rental experience. I gave them one star because I could not give them Zero. The gentleman who served me is definitely terrible. He pushed me to buy rental insurance, even though I told him clearly that I already have our insurance. Even after he pretended to know and checked my insurance card, he still told me that my insurance does not cover rental car. After I talked with my insurance agent and got a clear answer that my insurance covers the rental, he gave up. At the beginning, he told me that I will have a Toyota Corrola. However, he gave me a Nissian Versa instead of the Toyota Corolla. I questioned about him why it is not Corolla. He immediately lied that he never said a Corrola. When I started to pay, it showed that the price was $100 higher than the price I booked on line. I questioned him about that. He changed the price back to my price online. He was simply fooling around. After I told him that I will a write review for ACE and asked for his name, he refused to tell me. Obviously he cares more about his own reputation than his company’s reputation. I hope ACE could dig out who he is and have a better training for him.

When I read the reviews I saw that they were pretty bad but yet decided to give them a chance If I could give 0 stars I honestly would!! Please don’t rent from this company you will regret it and loose money I promise you that!!! When I first rented the car everything seem just fine and like everything went good but when I finished my contract and returned the car they refused to give me my $200 deposit back because “apparently” they went to some “charges” that they honestly didn’t even knew how to explain. Horrible customer service with attendant threatening to cancel contract and leave you and your family without a rental car because you are complaining.on March 17, 2021, I was supposed to pick up my car at Miami airport, my flight was delayed by 1 hr and I have asked for car pickup at 2 thinking that I will give them ample time to get it ready. In short, I arrived between 2-3 late (the flight number was given to ACE during reservation). When I arrived at the desk, a guy (his name maybe Antonio but not sure) was extremely rude and he told me that the SUV I reserved is gone since I am late and he can only give me a sedan for the same price. I accepted since I did not want to ruin my vacation but he went on to try to sell me more stuff and warn me about smoking in the car of course all in his rude tone and attitude.When in car, it smelled like smoke and my kids refused to get in from the smell. I went back upstairs and complained about the smoke pointing out the big deal they made out of not smoking in the car as I was signing the paperwork but they end up giving me a smoke infested car. The gentlemen start raising his voice and threatened 3 times to rip up the contract and leave me without any car while pointing his finger at me.This behavior was unacceptable, rude, illegal and can be tried in court. I will stay away from this company who employs people like that.As a follow up, 2 weeks later after I sent an email as per the automatic reply below and received no reply; Bunch of crooks and liars.

We rented for four days. Front desk was nice, the guy that give us the car did not inspect our car. He told us to check it ourselves and handed us our key. The car rinks cigarettes terribly, so we had to purchased air freshener for the car. We ended our trip early and returned the car a day early.

Excellent experience. First time booked from Ace Car Rental on my employers ID90 Travel online process from 3/8/2021- 3/11/2021. Once we arrived at Ace Miami airport counter, we didnt have to wait long to retrieve our car rental. I think the clerk went beyond excellent costumer service, she was amazing. She greeted us with a smile (even though she was wearing a mask, you could still tell she was smiling). The car she gave us was practically brand new (a 21 Nissan Sentra) drove very nice and smooth. Very well pleased. And Very glad she told us about the tolls. Hopefully, the next time we consider renting from Ace again. We get the same experience from their clerks.

Overpriced car insurance that is mandatory according to their policy. Miami Airport ACE hung the phone up on me 10 times when trying to ask about an issue I had with the vehicle (nail in tire). Mid Size vehicle was not what they advertised. Worst car rent I’ve ever had in my life.

Car was ready even tho I was early. Picking up the car was easy. Car was practically brand new. They did however strong arm me into a liability insurance I am certain was not necessary since I bought insurance through trip advisor. I was I a hurry so I only argued a bit before just giving in. HORRIBLE!!!!! They sent me a bill that was already calculated and sent before arrival . Upon arrival multiple fees were increased and after the front desk representative told us that a 10 dollar a day toll pass equated to an extra 120 . I felt like my intelligence was tested... after 12 hrs of travel and 2 layovers I was fed up and just wanted to go to my hotel . I still have yet to see any response from the customer care email or the front desk at the Miami international airport after multiple calls . Picked up a day late for the reservation. Turned away immediately by the first attendant (too bad didn’t got the name), he didn’t even looked up the reservation and just said no available cars. Good thing a second attendant (Carlos!) arrived and helped us. Saved the trip! Quick, efficient, honest guy and gave us the car we reserved. Price charger is as what was reserved. Return of car was smooth and flawless. Hope they can get rid of that other guy coz he ruins the company reputation. Other than him, this rental service is highly underated from the bunch in Miami airport.

These guys were the only ones that adequately staffed their rental counter at the airport. I only waited mins to get a brand new car. The rest of the counters had people lined up and waiting over an hour. Had a mix up with the coverage but Felix was able to fix it, and very timely at that. My daughter rented a car from Ace in Miami on 12/13 and I wanted to say we were pleasantly surprised. I had read some bad reviews but learned that we needed to bring in a copy of her insurance policy showing that she had full coverage on a vehicle and property identification along with the credit card that was used to guarantee the rental. Except for the long line, the experience was very good. The poor man behind the counter had his hands full as one of the workers had called in sick and he had to man the entire counter by himself. He was very polite and helpful.The only thing I didnt like was having to pay approximately $65 for the prepaid toll charges. We werent familiar with electronic tolls so to be on the safe side we went ahead and paid Ace only to find that the actual charges were very little. The car was very nice and the return policy was very easy. We did purchase gas at a station close to the airport so we wouldnt be charged extra for not having a completely full tank but had to pay about $1.50 more a gallon than we could have only a few miles away. I will definitely consider renting from Ace again and happy they are improving their service at least at the Miami airport.

Over priced. Take advantage of people visiting that are from out of State. They lie about prices and options that you have a right to decline. They will make you purchase all inclusive tolls and insurance to make more money. Overcharged. I paid deposit and they took more money after I returned the car. I was thinking I had a 250 deposit coming and they charged my card over $100 and said I didnt pay one after turning the car in. .if I could give 0 stars I could. When I called to get my deposit and ask why I was charged extra they kept hanging up on me and leaving me on hold. After calling back they continue to lie and say theres nothing they can do about it. Most horrible experience ever. I will never recommend this company. What was supposed to be $1093 turned into almost $1700 for 13 days. Car was still dirty with trash in compartments. Not sanitary especially with covid. Reports will be made to BBB and health dept. This company is also known as Roam Car Rental. Take a look at your statement.

We had a fairly smooth car rental. I was with friends and this was the first time I was even somewhat involved with renting a car. If you do it right, this place can be cheaper than larger rental agencies. I would compare this company to an airline like Spirit or Allegiant. The base cost is much lower than its competition. If you dont pay attention however, extra fees can rack up quick.For example, they charge ~$12 a day for tolls. My grandpa told me with Alamo its just included with the car. We used UniPass which saved us money ($20 for the transponder which can be swapped to other cars indefinitely, and tolls were only $11 total for the trip). Thats just one example, there are other potential fees that can rack up; read the fine print ahead of time. But as long as you do your research regarding fees and add-ons you can save money here.Also, they accept debit cards which is appreciated as my friends do not have credit cards.Checking in and collecting the car was fairly simple. They do try to sell you on add-ons, but they dont press too hard if they see you did your research. We waited about an hour in line, so they should have had at least one more employee, if not two.Overall I give it a 4/5 stars given that while the wait was long and theres fine print to consider, it was affordable for three college students.

I was a bit skeptical after i rented car from the bad reviews but i must say that the price i reserved is the price i paid no additional charges. Did have an $200 authorization but was given back to me at end of rental. Car was decent and Ace actually was the cheapest rental place out of all the others. I will rent from them again

Horrible service off from the start. Not sure if these guys get commission because I always rent a car since I travel alot and this guy kept pushing me to get stuff in a rude way. Come to see that I look at my final reciept that I got charged for pre paid fuel in where I would never agree to nor did he verbally tell me which is illegal! And I had returned it with a full tank of gas in which the person who I returned it to gave me a paper indicating it. Beware of their hidden charges! I rented the car in Mia Airport May 24-27 . Recommend Hertz instead!

Avoid if at all possible! Or at least make sure that you read the fine print and bring a copy of your proof of insurance. Admittedly, we did not read the fine print when reserving the car. We have however, rented cars in Florida from different rental agencies on umpteen occasions in the past. NEVER have we been forced to carry a print out of our proof on insurance from our home state. Because we did not have a printed copy, we were forced to pay ACEs exorbitant rate for daily insurance. While this requirement IS in the fine print for ACE, I looked at my last rental companies fine print and nowhere there does it state that this is a Florida state requirement. This leads me to believe that its either a scam, or ACE advertises an artificially low rate knowing that most people will overlook the fine print. We would have been many dollars ahead renting from another rental agency after it was all said and done. This issue coupled with ACEs long lines/wait to check out make ACE a never again for this family.The car was decent though!

SCAMMERS!!There is a manager by the name of lucky. One of the worst customer service representatives I’ve ever met. Lied to us about multiple things their customer service department always hangs up on you. Including this guy. We are advised to drop our car off in Orlando when we drove there after 200 miles their location was closed stuck in Florida for multiple days and guess what instead of refunding us they charged us a $200 fee that was supposed to only be $50 to drop off at a different airport. We are actually come combining a legal class action lawsuit against them and are asking all with the same stories I’ve read over 1000 reviews with almost the same thing. And we are taking them to court please contact me on this message for further details

Please dont rent from these ppl they will double charge you and dont tell you when to bring the car back. I rented a car they ask me will will I be returning the car I told the th 27th around 3 pm then they told me it be 309.58 they charge me that and then after I returned the car the next day I was charge 152.00 for a late fee when I returned it 1 pm and not 3pm and the I was told I was supposed to have it back at 10am so please dont rent from these pple im going to report fraudulent charges to the back since I cant get intouch with anyone about this issue

Overall my experience was great with ACE. I read the reviews and was worried about some others experiences but it turned out hassle free. First off I strongly recommend reading the terms and conditions for your rental as it clearly states that you will be required to purchase their liability insurance, UNLESS you provide ACE a copy of your own insurance. Once I showed them my insurance and they entered my policy # I was not charged any additional fees. It was a pretty seamless process and I would definitely use them again as they had the cheapest rate for my stay. Only reason I give 4 stars is because the odor in the car was slightly unpleasant but not unbearable.

Bait n Switch at its finest. Get ready...to find another option. Cuz this one wont likely be the best.Apparently, you must pay tolls even if you dont use them for a very high daily fee and liability which is an option or is it?😬I reserved for $200 and by the time the fees added up it was $400.Not the best way to do business - at all.And not to mention added stress while traveling. Buy for the absolute worst customer service and rental car system. The managers name is lucky at this location hangs up on you does not help you argues with you on the Phone then hangs up on you. They told us we could drop a rental car off in Orlando we drove 200 miles there to find out their location to be closed for two weeks my wife got stranded in Florida by yourself as I was already going through security getting our bags through. My wife had to drive to Florida Tampa Bay. And she got stuck there for two days. They fraudulently charged my credit card three separate times for unrecognized charges. Their phone system is terrible I just found out that they actually only have one customer service rep that handles complaints. Don’t ever rent be aware fraud, scams, terrible customer service

Do Not rent from this place. They are thieves. I rented my car online for $200 (taxes and airport charges included ) and by the time I returned the car they charged me $$600 I called costumer service after receiving my bill, and the lady basically told me I am a lier.First of all, they charged me full coverage and liability insurance, when I had already told the person at the counter I did not want it because my personal car insurance covers rental insurance. Second, they charged me almost $100 of taxes and airport charges which were already included in my original payment of $200 ( I have proof) I extended my car rental for one day, and the guy told me “ $120 and you have to return in at 3pm” I returned my car at 3:20 and when I asked costumer service they told me they were charging me $60 because I returned my car late, because my car was supposed to be dropped off at 1:40. I told them that’s not true and the ladies response was “ well, we have cameras here” and I asked to please check the cámaras, and I did not get a response. Basically this company steals from from. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I have sent emails and calls with no response. I will not let them rob my money, so I have decided to get ny lawyer involved and he will take care of this situation. I tried in a friendly nice manner to get answers and my money back and they would not cooperate !!! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM !!! Besides all this problems, the people at the counter are sooo rude !!!!

Car was fine. The service and all the hidden fees are terrible. Rented through Hotwire for $290. After additional fees and taxes and the toll pass which either you pay $18 per toll or $10 per day (no real choice since Florida doesn’t have toll booths). Total reservation was $520 for a car rental that was supposed to be done at $290. Go somewhere else.

This by far the worse place to rent a card from. Rented a car from 2/8/2021-2/13/2021 the first car we rented we had to take back due to it having low air in the front tire. When we came out to the car it was low to the ground so had to take it back n get another car. Everything was fine until we returned the car. They came up with this big lie saying we scratch it up. Which I know for a fact was a lie due to us not going anywhere. These people are scam artist looking to scam out a few bucks smh please do not rent a car from them or you will regret it.

The price you pay online isn’t the price it turns out to be. Not sure why they don’t include airport fees, state taxes etc when you book AND pay online. Anyway, regardless the car was okay, higher mileage than other rental car companies, mine had almost 40k miles. Lastly and most importantly. Ace rental car has the worst sign in the parking lot for pick and drop off. All the other companies have brightly illuminated signs showing you where your car will be and where to return the car. See attached photo for what ace has, not sure how anyone would be able to find that from across the 10+ rows of cars on level 3. Upon returning the car the agent wasn’t present, leaving me wondering what to do with the keys. After waiting a few minutes someone appeared, after taking the keys I received an email 15 minutes later saying the car was at 7/8 of a tank even though I filled it up 5 minutes prior to returning it. For this, you’re charged almost 15 dollars which would be 5 gallons of fuel at current reasonable gas pricing. And unless the tank hold 40 gallons, it’s a huge money grab.

So i booked reservations before i got to miami they told me my price was $274 for a rental that i wanted plus $200-300 deposit depending if u used a credit or debit card got to that rental place and my total was wayyyyy higher they added a whole bunch of fees or whatever they did and my total was $480 something plus a $200 so really my total was $600-700 the cars are good atleast the one igot (toyota camry) but i was told that i was getting a chevy sedan before i came i really wasnt worried about which car i got in bc of the long wait just to get to the rental place i was just soo ready to go but yeah idk All these car rental places are getting janky and more janky each day.

I was blown away by the service with the Ace rental car at Miami airport. The kind lady who checked me in was professional and helpful. The gentleman who retrieved the rental car for me was quick and funny! Then while I was driving, 20 minutes after I left- I got a flat tire.... it was dark out and in a place i wasn’t familiar with.... i called back and the same lady who checked me in was the same one answered the phone when I called about The flat tire- I was obviously upset and flustered (not at her- just in general)... she couldn’t have been more helpful, understanding, calmed me down and sent someone within 30 minutes with a new car.... George was amazing and helpful, kind, and a great guy! I am so thanful to be them for fixing the problem so quickly and so professionally. Thank you both for “saving” me tonight and for being wonderful humans who care- means so much to me and I am so grateful!! Will recommend ACE to everyone and already have told the story 3 x tonight! Bait and switch. Canceled my reservation the day before I was supposed to pick the car up. Didn’t bother to notify me so I was greeted with that news. Fast forward to rebooking the same car for the same days... a couple hundred dollars more without any reasons. Just avoid this place. It doesn’t end up being the great deal you were hoping for.

Staff was nice but deceiving! They forced me into cdw a when I had my own insurance. I was charged so many fees I clearly was not aware of. They put this little computer asking me to sign after I declined many options apparently my signature meant more! The car had many scratches and I made sure to take pictures before so wasnt charged for that. I was quoted $128 for two days and left paying $234.25. Overall the car wasnt too bad and it worked for my stay. I have never had a great experience by any car rentals so Ace is just average on the scams compard to other companies. Oh and they hardly pick up their phone and if they do they put you on hold and hang up after 15 minutes. Not the experience I wanted but the experience I expected!

Gisela at Ace really helped me out. We landed in Miami late and the rental company I had originally booked with (and prepaid in full) closed earlier than their posted hours. After many calls and visits with managers I finally gave up and went to Ace. Gisela was friendly and helped us get to where we were going. The Male employee was downright rude. I had a reservation that apparently meant nothing. He wanted to charge me $500 retainer on top of the money for the car. He then said if I dont have full coverage insurance ( I dont own a car), then I couldnt rent a car. When I first walked to Ace, several people leaving and one said if youre trying to get a car, good luck! He didnt lie. I went right across the terminal and got a car with no problem?! Whats up with Ace???? Anyway, they wont have my business any more.

I don’t understand the other bad reviews. My experience was really very good. Gisela help me with my reservation and was very informative and nice. She explained the different upgrades, which I did not sign up for. However she continued to be helpful and patient in answering my questions. So far, the car is doing great. My boyfriend and I arrived at the rental office at 11:45 pm. There was one man/employee standing behind the counter waiting on someone and two more people ahead of us. At 12:03, the man/employee was still waiting on the same person and said he closes at midnight and wasnt taking any more customers. I mentioned I had a reservation and called and confirmed the week before that I would be able to pick up the rental after hours and was assured that someone would be there. This person did not care about anything but getting out of there. All the other rental companies stayed open for customers that had reservations and some were there until almost 2 am. He is lucky I did not get his name but it is whoever the Ace Rental Co. at the Miami International airport had scheduled on Friday, March 19th 2021 on the closing shift. After hanging around at the airport for almost 2 hours, a gentleman by the name of Helder Diaz was doing work on the computers at the Ace rental counter. We approached him and explained the situation and he gladly helped us out after finishing up with computer upgrades. We were able to get our rental and leave the airport to start our vacation. Thank you so much Helder! Seeing as I am in the customer service business, that is what I call going above and beyond for your customers. We had a great vacation thanks to him. The other gentleman that worked the closing shift that night needs more training on what good customer service is.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY!! This company is a scam!! Rented a car through Hotwire for Roam Ace Rental of Miami for 6 days rental and was charged $281 in February. When we returned the car we were charged another $191!!! Spoke with 2 different employees and they say this is the add’l fee for turning in the car 5 hours late, because of a delayed flight! When we called them to let them know it would be late they said they would have to charge us an additional $24.99 (daily rate). $24.99 doesn’t equal $191!! When I called to dispute all they say is email us.......nope!! This is theft and we will not stand for it!!! !! I have contacted Hotwire and informed them of all the negative reviews (should have read them before renting) and they are investigating! Have also contacted the BBB and my CC company! DON’T LET THEM SCAM YOU!!!!

So pretty much the same experience as everyone, got told that I needed mandatory liability insurance when their form clearly states “Optional” if that doesn’t scream legal scam I dunno what else does, I mention to the gentleman that was assisting us that I had insurance he said liability is still required as my cover that purchase states full collision coverage, plus my credit card gives me rental coverages. The car that was rented drove horrible, pretty rough ride for a recent model car, rear window on the convertible won’t align and left a gap causing water of course to fall in, it’s a (Ford Mustang defect).Overal was not happy with “Mandatory Insurance” gimmick so if you rent from them be prepared to pay more.
