This location is right off Airline; next door to Urgent Care and the Dollar Tree. The staff has been helpful since I joined in this city. I’m usually there when it’s not too crowded but even if it is, there is still space to exercise efficiently! COVID-19 preventative measures were in place and everyone seemed to abide by the rules!! I have the Black Card and when I need to use the massage chair/bed, it’s always available and free of funk! Overall, I can get in and get out to exercise without issues!

I went in to cancel my membership and I had to pay an outstanding balance in cash and was told that my account had been closed and I would get am email. I forgot to check my email about it and I checked my bank account, there are charges for Planet Fitness and I cancelled in March. I am tired of PF lying to customers about cancelling the membership and still charging me without my knowledge. I dont even live in Louisiana anymore! Theyll get another visit by me and Ill make sure they give me a refund.

Crowded, but still plenty of equipment, a very nice, affordable gym. First time using the gym and all systems were down so I couldnt use anything I came for and the staff was a bit rude. The cleaning woman was especially rude and then I asked the counter people if the system would be fixed soon or was ongoing and they said I mean its not permanent, I dont know. Which is fair but when I asked if it had been going on all week or just today, she rolled her eyes and said I. Dont. Know.

Planet Fitness is clean, no one bothers you, the equipment is kept in good condition, and there are lots of different things to do at the gym. The facility is well maintained and there is a wide demographic of people which truly makes it feel as if anyone is welcome. However, it can get crowded at the peak times but that is to be expected. It is also a great price for everything you get.

My original review outlined a billing error and unresponsive behavior from the management of the club on a local level.However, I was approached by an individual from a higher level in the company who was extremely sincere with an apology, rectified the problem, and promised to contact the local club to ensure that this doesnt happen again. Because of this individual and his positive reflection upon the company culture as a whole, I am appending my original review.

Its clean and a comfortable place to work out. The equipment is pretty new, too. I like this place a lot.

Staff is kinda sassy and it’s not uncommon for them to open two hours late on Sunday.

Get your workout on and for a very nice price you can also have tanning booths, which I never use but also water jet massage beds and massage lounge recliners. Thise I do use. For a sound body and mind this is a no brainer...

Usually love this gym, in fact I’ve always loved this location. But I was expecting a workout this morning 3/15/21 but when I arrived there was 20+ people standing outside. Someone did not show up to work on time. This was very irritating. When I called the gym it said it was closed because of Local Ordinance, I had just been there on Friday. Communication would have been nice, like a sign on the door or something. The whole gym was lit up but no one inside. I ended up leaving shortly after arriving. This is disappointing and irresponsible.

My first visit since Covid began. I was sincerely looking forward to being able to exercise again. Just during stretching I counted 10 people not wearing masks. After one exercise I had to leave. It wasn’t just that people weren’t wearing masks, it was that they had no masks on their person. Not a mask tucked into a pockets of outfits with no pockets, no masks hanging off wrists. Cell phone conversations happening and stair climbers spewing labored breaths across a quarter of the gym. This tells me that people feel empowered here and know that they will not be asked to mask up. I approach the front desk and a very polite person there told me they were “working on getting their guest to wear masks at all times”. It’s a year into a pandemic and you are “working on it“. To the credit of the front desk they did ask me if I would like to freeze my account until I felt more comfortable. That’s great, turn away the people that want to do the right thing and give more space to the mouth breathers who can’t comply with safety guidelines.Working in a bar I wear a mask for 8 hours at a time while constantly moving, bending, lifting and carrying. Your guests can wear one while lifting weights. I understand the reluctance to force your employees into confrontations but the health AND safety of your guests should be paramount.After vaccination I can still carry the virus to others so I don’t know when I’ll “feel comfortable”. Shame on you PF for making you guests choose healthy exercise or possible Covid infection.(Originally one star I upped this to two only because the staff was extremely courteous and are clearly following orders that come from the top)

Best gym deal by far

Went here Saturday April 3rd 10am. Got inside, asked the girl at the front desk what the wifi password is so I can log in to my account and prove Im a member so that I can workout. She says there is no password which is probably why its so sketchy. I didnt say anything, I simply proceeded to try and log in. Nope. Wifi not working. So I told her since without pulling up my membership, I figured I wouldnt be allowed to enter. She immediately cops and attitude with me and says I can talk to a manager on Monday. I said, Im not that worried about the wifi, I want to know that I can enter here since Im a paying member. She says very rudely, well go workout then... Frustrated by now I said, since the wifi is not working causing me to not be able to pull up my membership on my phone, you as the employee should be able to offer me a solution instead of an attitude. She wouldnt look at me and didnt respond. Wont be coming back to Planet Attitude. To the owner, I hope you can find better than this girl to represent your business.

Nice place to work out, however you can spot some that are not wearing mask or wearing incorrectly.

It was packed way over capacity, I counted two people wearing masks. I was too scared to enter. Virus counts are going up and planet fitness is doing less to protect, I am contacting authorities.

This planet fitness is pretty good. Tons of cardio machines which is good, except they are never all being used, so in turn i feel they take up space. The free weight area is fairly small. Staff is pretty nice, and they seem to work on keeping it clean.

Love this location I live in the East, There is a Planet fitness on Crowder Blvd that I refuse to go to because the staff is not as friendly as the staff in the Metairie location plus it has more variety of equipment than the one on Crowder I enjoy my workouts here.

No one wears masks. People walk into the facility not wearing masks. There is no enforcement on wearing masks. I have been a satisfied planet fitness member for years, but now I just feel unwelcomed.

This gym is an absolute scam. I inquired about a free trial 8 months ago. Never went to this gym due to covid restrictions gym was shut down for months. But you guessed it, i was charged 25 dollars for every month this gym was shutdown. To top it all off I’ve been calling this local gym and HQ only to be sent to voicemail by a robot. 7 months, $200 down the drain and still have yet to step foot in one of these gyms. Never in my life have i felt more scammed by a franchise. I’d give 0 stars if possible

Great price for access to a lot of equipment and a lot of hours of availability.

2 weeks in a row all the customers are sitting outside waiting to get in, no staff here on time for the 6am open. Getting frustrating, not sure what Im paying for if I cant use the gym when I arrive. Both times I waited 15-20 minutes before leaving. Time to seek out a 24/7 gym experience I suppose.

The gym is very specious,great environment but the only problem was the front desk guy was a little rude.

The gym is adequate. Ive been a member of many gyms all over the country. I will say this is by far the most crowded gym Ive ever joined. That being said; the place is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I wish a gym of this caliber would come with more amenities (spa, sauna, steam room...), But Ill take what I can get for now.

I love the size of this location and that they have the ropes. Not all locations have them.

I always go at peak times and man there are always a lot of different machines to choose from. I am a middle aged person and I have used all types of machines and to me they work perfectly fine. Facility is great, clean. Staff is super friendly. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I looked around before signing up and this is the best deal, you cant beat their prices. I like their billing practices, honest upfront. No hidden fees, contract is easy to understand. And best of all, massage lounge is great. I am really getting my moneys worth

Why the staff always late opened up on Sundays?

Ill never join a planet fitness again. Yes, they have options to transfer your membership. However, I moved 2,000 miles away to an area where all the planet fitness are closed and I still have to pay a cancellation fee equal to six months of my contract. Ive never been to a gym where as long as you could show you moved over 250 miles away, you couldnt cancel your contract without paying a fee.The logic planet fitness doesnt want you to realize is that your contract is with THAT planet fitness, not all planet fitnesses. I cannot continue to go to the planet fitness my contract is currently with. Therefore, the fact that they offer transfers and I decline to transfer doesnt mean Im trying to get out of my contract because my contract isnt with all of planet fitness. It means I cant continue to go to the planet fitness I currently have a contract with. Btw, theyll defer the cancellation fee but if you ever go back to planet fitness, youll have to pay the $60 before you can sign on with them again.

The staff here is awesome. The gym is always clean and in top shape.

Every time I come to this gym the total body enhancement is broken. This is supposed to be a perk of black card membership and it is listed on the website as at this location so maybe use some gym fees to get it fixed.

Love this location. There are tons of options for workouts. Even if you don’t want to lift weights you can find your groove here. There’s enough equipment for everyone. I would be aware tho of peak times as this location get super busy after work during the week around 4-7

This is a great gym. Open 24/7. Super clean huge facility. Staff members very nice and helpful. There is always tons of equipment to choose from. Zero judgement from other patrons. Amazing low monthly fees!

Had a great workout. This Planet Fitness location is always clean. The staff is extremely supportive, helpful and always cordial. All of the equipment is well maintained as well as clean. Your fellow patrons tend to be welcoming and friendly. The only negative comment is that the restrooms need to be maintained more frequently do to a few people not being courteous when using them.

Love the design and space. I like it but oddly enough I couldnt find the bar bell for benching and squatting only the machine versions. Maybe Im missing it but please consider adding a regular station for free weight barbells for bench press, deadlifts and squats.

The manager FARRON & Rep GENEVA were extremely rude. FARRON is unprofessional I think the owner Danny needs to replace him. When Mike was management at this location the environment was much more pleasant. I’ll never return to another planet fitness ever again. Today was my first day in and last day. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE

Once again I had to ask someone to please allow me to work through in the 30 minute Express. This time it was a trainer taking up the machine with there client.............I asked very nicely to allow me to work through (they occupied the machine for over 15 minutes) and was told to use next one so they could finish. I sent email to management that this happens quite a bit 2 months ago and was assured it would not happen again. I PAY GOOD MONEY to be there and should not have to fight just to use a machine. Well it happened again and cancelled my membership..............also will be advising other to do the same being they have the same problems with people not being respectful to those of us using the 30 minute express.

When I was researching gyms to join, this seemed like a great place to join. Plenty of parking in front, friendly staff members who were passionate. I chose not to join because of the lack of a pool. Great place otherwise and very clean.

I have been going to Planet Fitness across the country for the past 4 years. The Metairie location is my main location. This facility is always clean, the staff is very friendly, and they have plenty of options to fine tune your workout. Plus, the music is awesome!

Great environment.

The facilities are very nice and the gym has ample equipment. The staff needs to be trained better. When I signed up for my membership, the person at the front desk did not explain anything to me or help me understand the perks that came with my membership. The staff has consistently allowed people to use the black card member only area without checking their membership status or even requiring them to sign in on the papers to get in line. The staff offers no enforcement of the rules and allows people to jump in on the 30 minute workout equipment as if its just extra equipment instead of a circuit workout. If the staff here was better trained the gym would receive more stars from me.

You cannot beat the price. Very good equipment and Classes. But the parking it’s hard to get in and out of unless you go there by 6 AM.

There’s plenty to do around the gym for a good few hours (for both the Gretna and Metairie locations). The points/perks system is also really cool. I like that it gives me an extra sense of achievement after a day at the gym. The employees are always nice, but I feel you should have more people on staff. Two isn’t enough all the time, especially if a lot of customers come in at once. Overall though, PF is great. There’s nothing I dislike about it!

A great place to work out. I have been there many times. My son loves taking me there. I started going there to retrain my crippled leg. It helped. You can lift weights on the exercise machines. Or go track running on its track. They gave me a card key to lock my stuff in the locker. Go there if you want a good way to exercise.

Don’t go here it’s a worker who will call a tow truck on you!!! He said he do it because he enjoy seeing it.

Go either in the first two hours when they open or before they close to avoid the mid day crowd.

Great place to work out. Clean facilities, plenty of space to work out, machines are usually always available when I arrive no matter the time of day due to the amount of machines at this location. The only down-fall to this location is the lack of parking during peak hours. The parking lot is small and it is shared with other businesses. Upside is there is a larger parking lot across the street if you dont mind crossing that road (not the distance but the issue with the amount of traffic passing through). All in all I give this location five out of five stars!

Planet Fitness is an easy way to get fit. You can get right to it, exercise and you are done. Its mostly machines and weights but if thats all you need then its a good fit. the price is right too.

Best Planet Fitness location in the NOLA area. Custoner service and cleanliness are great! I have been going there for 2 years and never had a problem. Ill tell you one of the biggest things for me is THEY KEEP IT COOL ENOUGH :). I have been to several other gyms in the area (including the other PF location) that just dont keep the temp low enough and I appreciate so much that this one does!! I have asthma and a low heat tolerance and so this is beyond important to me.

There open 24/7 you can go at your convenience, and there is enough equipment to get and stay healthy.

Decent gym for the price. If you are looking for just the basics in a gym this is your place. There are no classes just machines and a few trainers and if you pay for the black card you get to use the tanning beds, hydro massage beds, and massage chairs. My only complaint is i wish their stretching area was larger so there was more room for stretching.

I go to this gym almost every day. Clean, spacious, friendly staff. Rarely have an issue, if at all. Could use some squat racks but youre still able to get a great workout here.

None of the patrons seem to know theres a huge parking space in the back. Real nice facility. Locker rooms in good condition, equipment in good condition, tanning rooms always clear and clean, very kind staff. Very seldom are there any weights crashing. Been going for a few months now; even with the new years resolutions, I still can find a treadmill to run on at 5pm. Theyve got a lot of cute little calender of activities, but I havent engaged in any of their classes. Free pizza on first Monday of the month

All I can say is Rachel(one of their trainers) is absolutely amazing!!! I started here at the end of March and told Rachel I need to lose 40lbs, by My wedding day in May!...working with Rachel helped me to learn what I should be doing in the gym but helped me correct my awful eating habits due to her extensive knowledge in nutrition. By May 22, I had lost 44lbs...now Im down 56lbs. She has truly been a life coach for me! Thank you Rachel, planet fitness is lucky to have a dedicated trainer/coach like you!

Set up a wifi password and make the bottle filler automated so I dont have to press down on the button to keep he water flowing.

Tried to have my membership situated and the boy at the front desk told told me he CANT do what I asked (a simple downgrade) and told me to do it online. He insisted. When in fact Im having it downgraded right now and it is at the Crowder location. If I can get it done here it should be possible at the gym I signed up for. If you wanna be neglected come here.
