This was my first time visiting this establishment. And I went for my very first Brazilian Wax and was a bit nervous at first but Jennah made it so comfortable and easy. She is truly nice and professional. I had a brief conversation with LaTasha and she was very welcoming as well and made sure I all checked in and ready to go. I’m very big on customer service and they are phenomenal. The atmosphere is just so light and full of positivity. I already made another appointment and will be a regular here.

I used to see Jennah for brows before I moved out of state. Im now residing in the area again and made an appointment . I trusted that Jennah would hire exceptional brow artists considering how great she was, and I was right. Caitlin did my brows and did a GREAT job! I will definitely be coming back to her.

I go to Caitlin for my eyebrow threading every single time and she never fails to amaze me! My brows always look so clean afterwords and exactly what I want. She listens and makes me feel comfortable! Caitlin does a great tint as well and really accommodates your personal needs. 10/10 recommend :)

Jennah is the owner of Brows and Meows and she waxes my brows every 6-8 weeks. She’s super friendly, professional, and she gets my brows exactly how I like them every time. Consistency is so important. I come from VB to Norfolk cause I trust that she will get my brows looking perfect!

I’ve been a client here for about a year and have yet to have a negative experience and have always left my appointment feeling 100% satisfied. Here are some things to note:Pros: extremely clean, moderately priced, great customer service from front desk and waxers. Latasha was the last person to perform my waxing service and was a sweet girl who was extremely professional and made sure I was baby smooth!Cons: VERY strict cancellation/re schedule policy. They will charge you for the FULL service that you’re scheduled for if you need to reschedule, come in past their 5 min grace period, or if you cancel the appointment all together. However, this is disclosed from the beginning before you book an appointment via email and it’s stated in your forms for any first time clients. I understand that this policy protects the the employees from missing any earnings that were reasonably expected which is fair.Overall I would recommend this place for any waxing needs due to the quality of service they provide but would definitely not book an appointment if you’re someone who will need flexibility due to their schedule.

I had an appointment with LaTasha and she was great! I told her it was only my second time trying a wax since and I have only been to European Wax Center. She played some music and kept me as relaxed as I could be. She gave me insights in my skin and what I could do to improve it and just gave a great overall experience. Thank you LaTasha!

LaTasha is a true professional who takes pride in her work and deliver results! For this to be my first Brazilian, she really created a very enjoyable time for me. We shared much laughter & had great conversation. She just made me feel so comfortable with how patient she was with me & how carefully she handled the wax on my skin made me tell she genuinely cares for her clients and works very diligently to meet their expectations. This place is great i wont go to any other place to get my brows done.The girl I had been going to no longer works here, but Ive since started seeing Caitlin for my needs and shes wonderful.Shes great about getting you what you want shape and color wise on your brows. Shes communicative and works so efficiently.As for the business as a whole, I really dont mind their strict appointment policy, if my plans change ill typically make changes using the vagaro app, which is also how i book all my appointments through there. if for any reason they need to reschedule on my part, they call me and communicate really well, and even will discount my next service. Theyre extremely clean and abide by covid protocols.

No show policy is ridiculous in my opinion. Especially in Norfolk when the traffic is terrible getting to downtown! Make sure there’s no possible way you could get stuck in traffic or you’ll get charged for no wax!! I now go to ulta and use Minna she’s awesome!!

They are always professional and super nice the customer service is outstanding and I’m very particular about places and the service that I’m paying for. Recently moved to VA and very glad to have found Brows and Meows! All the staff are super friendly, been going to Caitlin for about 4 months now and she is the best!

This company has very bad ethics. They will take your money for being 30secs late after the grace period. But it is a “cautionary tale” because they put it in their policies in which the sent me 5minutes right before my appointment while I was driving there and I spent most of my time signing the documents (which was they say you have to signed before you come in which added to my tardiness)No offer to reschedule or other offers of maybe even some type of fee. Not to mention it was good that it happened this way because the young ladies at the front desk eye brows looked very bad, (like boxes on their face) So it was a true blessing. I make decent money so I won’t really miss the $30 but it’s obvious this company probably are desperate for money and probably make their money off of people being late. Either way I recommend that the owners seek business mentorship or some type consultation otherwise I don’t see them being in Business for long or they may even treat their employees bad based on how they treat prospective clients.I feel sorry for the employees and even more sorry for people that don’t listen to this review🤷🏾‍♀️

This place is amazing and Jennah is an absolute doll! Not only is her service beyond reproach, her positivity radiates and that pairing really makes for a top notch experience. The studio is always very clean and I really like their policies. To all those upset by the cancelation policy, they are VERY clear about it when you book - you literally cant miss it. I respect the business for being upfront about it and caring about their staff. I will never go anywhere else for my waxing needs!

I love Brows & Meows, let me start off by saying being a small business is not easy. Especially one in the beauty industry which is so undervalued in my opinion, people kill to look good but don’t wanna pay the people who help them stay looking good. I’m new to the area but have been getting waxed for about three years now and my time here has hands down been the best! My original wax person went out on leave but the front desk was so great in communicating and getting me in for another appointment. I’m pretty irregular with my appointments but it’s never a problem moving my booking theyre always so accommodating. I’ve been going to see Jennah for my past two visits and let me tell you HUNNY CAN WERK!!! I’m on the table no more than ten minutes if that. It’s great conversation while she gets down to business. The waxes are phenomenal, not very painful to me, the decor is fantastic. I also appreciate they are still heavily following Covid procedures to not only keep me safe but their staff. It’s so important to protect one another so people can continue to work and earn a living. I’m very happy with the services I receive, I absolutely want to branch out and try brow treatments one day. Everyone is so kind there as well, I’m always so relaxed coming and going. I would post a photo of my services but they would for sure flag the review lmao. Too much confusion. I have text messages from Brows & Meows flying-in consistently from three separate numbers. One of the text messages from June 28th reads ‘appointment change’ to a pre-arranged appointment for July 5th. I called back within 3 hours of the text on June 28th to clarify and spoke to a representative who asked me to go on their Vagaro app to reschedule the July 5th appointment. I did, and added my name to their wait list for June 30 through July 2nd. Then I was to click on their previous text message for July 5th to disregard the change, but instead it confirmed the appointment. So I called again. I’m counting at least 10 phone calls between myself and Brows & Meows, in the last 2 weeks just to schedule a single appointment. This ends with a huge lack of professionalism. A text message from a person named Leo who could not be bothered to pick up the phone. His text says the company is faultless and that I will get charged $30 for my troubles. It’s laughable. I am a military service member. We’re talking eyebrows. Eyebrows? It should be a simple matter. I’ll take my business elsewhere and I recommend you do.

Ive been going here for about a year now. When I first came I hadnt let my brows grow out & Jenna told me that I needed to let them grow for another 6 weeks if I wanted what I showed her. She didnt charge me for that appointment or anything. Ever since then I have been satisfied with my brows. Ive been going every 4-5 weeks since then & now see Brittani. Jenna did amazing work & brittani does also! I love the energy & how well Brittani knows how I want my brows now. Very good prices & always ridiculously clean! Great environment.

I been going to brows and meows since they was on Bute street however even when they move their new location on 26st i still went because they was good at what they do Amanda was the first to do my first wax ever but she left the establishment in March i believe then I start going to the lovely Danielle but ima just say this after being a Loyal customer and coming late due to traffic and the owner LEO was not professional or giving common courtesy basically kept stating the policy states xyz and insulted my intelligence. Leo BAN me from brows and meows without me knowing until i ask why the site was not letting me book another appointment he clearly text because i said i was gone leave a bad review he BAN me for my opinion im sad to leave Danielle i hope she finds better i have found a new waxing spot where the environment itself is much bigger offer more for the same price i was paying at brows and meows the professionalism with the owner just was sad i never experienced nothing like it but if you ever go there I highly recommend Danielle.

A very unique eyebrow place. Customer service is spectacular. You have to experience this kind of service to your eyebrows at least once. They take great care and very detail with their service. They take their time to meet your needs and provide you with excellent service. I recommend this place!

I have been going to her for a little over 6 months. Its super easy setting up and canceling appointments online.Parking is also very easy seeing as its downtown Norfolk. Parking is free 2 hour parking. Never spend more than a few minutes finding a spot. Also a parking garage near by.She was a very generous rewards program for regular customers. Overall great experience. Will continue to go to her as long as I am in the area.

I literally will not go anywhere else. I go to see Britani once a month for a Brazilian with extractions and eye brow threading. She has transformed my eye brows and my hair growth entirely. I used to go to European Wax Center and I found with their 15 minute time slots, that they rushed and I always ended up with irritation and ingrown hairs. Brows & Meows takes their time with their clients and makes sure you’re totally satisfied with the outcome. I had no idea what a real Brazilian experience was supposed to be like until I went here... I always settled and dreaded going - I definitely don’t feel that way anymore. Britani and the other staff members have changed the experience for me with what an esthetician is supposed to be like. The ladies at the front desk are always extremely helpful. With Covid - they make it super easy to schedule my appointments and even with how I pay for them. I love this place and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I called and scheduled an appointment for a Brazilian wax($60) the day of my appointment my ship secured everyone from leaving due to an injury on the pier (NAVY) . One of the sailors on our ship was badly injured by a forklift so they would not let anyone leave the ship at all . I called to cancel and I’m fully aware of the cancelation policy however they took a completely $60 for canceling . To me that is unfair considering the circumstances . I 100% do not recommended this place . Reason being, what if you are a mother and your child gets sick and you have to take them to the hospital ? Brows and meows is going to take a full payment from you not caring the circumstances . The lady who answered my call was very nice and tired to get the fee waived however the manager did not care at all . DONT GO HERE FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE ! European wax center is cheaper With the same quality as this place .

Jennah is always and has always been amazing. I started coming to her during the summer with very sparse/thin eyebrows and she has really made them come such a long way. It’s so hard to find reliable people to maintain your wants/needs. I come every 4-6 weeks faithfully and I’m never disappointed. I was drawn in by the cute name but the service is what keeps me coming back. I can get my brows and a Brazilian wax done in about 45min here(on a rough day). Amanda and Jennah are efficient friendly and incredibly thorough. It also feels great to find a black woman owned company in the area!

I completely understand the late and cancellation policy. With that being said I also understand the need to maybe reschedule verses that of a full cancelation. This company would rather cancel and lose a client verses doing any rescheduling. Do not use this salon if you have an unscheduled late work day or any other circumstance.

I walked in on a Weds. afternoon, wanting more than just a brow clean-up. Was told they usually only take appointments but would take me. The person waiting on me has a tablet and says she needs to set up a profile (really? Im only here to get my brows done, this isnt plastic surgery). But OK. She gets info from me and asks for a credit card to keep on file. I explained that I am not comfortable having my card on file for no reason. I explained that for todays service I can pay either by credit card or cash if they preferred. She said she understood, but thats the policy. I again said I did not feel comfortable giving my credit card information BEFORE even having service done. I know why its done, by the way. She said she would check with the owner, then came back and said, sorry, but thats our policy. As I gathered my belongings to leave I told her thanks, but no thanks. It must be nice to be so successful you can let a paying customer walk out the door because thats the policy. Do not assume that I am one of your irresponsible customers who makes appointments and then is a no-show.The one star is because I had to give one in order to post. Should have been 0 stars.

So I absolutely love this place and this place loves my brows ! I have never had bad experiences and recommend everyone I can to come here. If you are think iui by about coming like a 1st timer here, let your brows grow out atleast 4 weeks worth of growth. If your a slow grower like me I would say 6-8 weeks but this is just my opinion. Ive been coming here for less than a year but this is my only brow place! Also, they DO NOT DOUBLE DIP! Double dipping definitely is what pushed my away from getting my brows done at nail salons. If you are looking for new options or forever waxers I would definitely check them out. Oh! They also have loyalty cards !!!

I have been getting my eyebrows done here for over a year now and I recently tried a different location as I was tired for driving to Norfolk to have my eyebrows threaded......well that was a bad decision and now I have to let my eyebrows grow out. Jennah has the ability to see the finished shaped of your eyebrows without you having to fill them in. She works with you on the shape that you desire and I have never been unsatisfied. Needless to say Ill be driving back to Norfolk from Hampton to get my eyebrows done. Also, if you are looking at the price of her services yes they are more expensive than most locations however it is worth it and she also will fill in your eyebrows after she threads them if you would like.

I just finished my first experience here and I had Amanda for both my brows and Brazilian.. She was so friendly and showed great customer service. As a business owner myself I totally understand cancellation policies, why they exist, as well as the need to protect your employees.... HOWEVER, these owners are absurd! I’ve consistently been coming to this salon and needed to reschedule my appointment due to an emergency dental appointment an hour before my scheduled eyebrow appointment. I went online to try to cancel (which I’ve never done online before) and couldn’t figure it out. Finally after over an hour of trying to get it to work. I decided to just text the number provided on their social media page. I politely asked to reschedule and was rescheduled, YES, I WAS RESCHEDULED AND AFTER I WAS RESCHEDULE,D, I WAS THEN TOLD I WOULD BE CHARGED 50% for my services that were rescheduled. Literally 23 hours BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT. 23 hours!!! I HAVE NEVERRRRRRRR. With everything going on in this economy this is an extremely poor business practice. Needless to say this will be my LAST APPOINTMENT with this place and I’d warn everyone who goes not to schedule until the day of an appointment if needed Bc clearly they don’t care that emergencies happen. They screw their clients and it’s truly sad Bc Amanda is awesome but the owners clearly have no values in customer service nor customer loyalty. To make matters worse an owner decides to tell me to check my attitude AFTER I’m told I’m charged after I’m rescheduled (who wouldn’t have an attitude) and then has the audacity to text MY PHONE “ARE WE CLEAR”?! Ha! We are clear that you can stop texting my phone and have lost this business and will lose any that would have come from my referrals.Hahahahah Karen?!? Karen and the fact that you don’t understand that not all instances are the same nor did you or your business partner try to shows your ignorance as a business owner. I went in for a brow wax and tint with Britani and she did an amazing job she was very informative about the whole process when it came to getting my brows done. I had been growing out my brows since August of this year because I couldn’t find anyone to do them right until I found Brow and Meows. I’m so pleased with my brows. I’ve been going to Brows and Meows for about a year. I’ve never had better waxing services anywhere else! I was going to Smooth downtown prior, which was fine but they do not specialize in brows. Jennah will give you the brows you always wanted! Her prices are fair and her studio is adorable. She recently expanded and added Amanda, who I also went to and she did a great job on my brows. I also get my bikini done. 5 stars.

I used to get eyelash extensions for extra volume since my lashes are pretty long to begin with, I stopped going to get them done bc of the maintenance. I got a lash lift with Amanda done and she was very professional and made sure to ask me what I was looking for and not just giving me what she thought would be best. She made me feel very comfortable and my results were phenomenal. She was very kind and easy to talk to and her work and reviews shows! I would recommend Amanda to anyone wanting to add something extra to your lashes with very easy low maintenance.

I love going here. My eyebrow and bikini tech Caitlin is professional. Do not knock somewhere until you have tried it. I have no bad experience with this place and my brows are properly trained unlike when I walk in the $8 shop and come up looking like a quack. I love brows and meows

I adore Brows & Meows! I just recently moved to the area and was in dire need of an eye brow waxing. I stumbled upon Brows & Meows from Facebook. They had great reviews. But service was above and beyond once I actually stepped foot inside. Jennah will now be my “go to” when I need some TLC! She is very professional, kind, funny, and actually takes the time to sit down with you and talk to you about your “brow goals” which I have NEVER had done before going here. She was kind enough to inform me on why one of my eye brows seemed so thin. And gave positive affirmation that with moving forward we will get my brows back to looking fuller. In the short 2.5 months since my first appointment I can say that my eye brows have never looked better! I even had an amazing Lash Lift & Tint done! Jennah and the staff at Brows & Meows are amazing and I can’t wait for my next appointment they can work their magic.

Once I got on the table she explained that she couldn’t do what I wanted that I would need to grow them out for another 4 weeks, I have never met someone so sweet & honest! She didn’t try to just to work w what I had she actually wanted me to have what I wanted. So so sweet & personable. She didn’t even charge me for her time. I won’t be doing to anyone for any of my waxing needs. She will be my new go-to!!!

I got Brazilian done by Britani and it was one of my best wax experiences. She made me extremely comfortable and the wax and her technique was painless. This wasn’t my first Brazilian wax but if it is your first time I recommend booking with Britani. They managed to fit me in despite calling the same afternoon they might be a bit busier now so if you’re trying to book be sure to calla few days in advance. Also Brows and Meow is much more affordable compared to other places. I was very pleased I will be coming back.

Ive been looking for a good place to get my eyebrows threaded since I moved to the area and I finally found one. First off, Jennah is very friendly and funny. Second, the process did not hurt one bit. Usually getting my eyebrows threaded is incredibly painful, but I honestly could have fallen asleep from being so relaxed. Last, and most important, my eyebrows came out perfect. She gave me the exact shape I wanted and even let me know about a spot that needed to be grown out. I highly recommend.Just note that when you walk into the building, it might look like youre in an office for a different business, but just go upstairs and sit down. Theyll come out to greet you.
