I have been going to Star automotive for a while now and they know what they are doing. I have a 2008 Land Rover and they have been able to fix every issue thus far with my suv. They try to get work done in a timely manner, but always best to let them do their work at their pace. “Have alternate ways of transportation “. I just had a fantastic experience with Star Auto Service. I needed a tire repair. I showed up without calling and they still took care of me even though their mechanics were busy. Very friendly staff I will definitely go back for my auto service needs.

Needed a coolant hose connected to the water pump changed. While the price of the hose was surprisingly high, the labor cost wasnt that bad. Dropped the vehicle off Wednesday, they called Thursday evening to tell me it could be picked up either later that evening or Friday morning. Picked up my vehicle Friday morning. Wonderful older couple who handled my phone calls, information and invoice. Got suggested this business by my father and when they heard my name(Im a junior)they recognized it. Very nice experience. Will be back for more aervice.

Although Joey is wonderful I would have to say the lady at the front desk Joey stepmom Miss Mary is actually the leader of the shop! They treated me with such good service and made sure they kept me up-to-date with what was going on with my car. I needed severe work and not only did he have it done and a 36-hour. I have a whole new car now everything is like it was when I first got it no lights on whatsoever. I was referred to this shop and I am so excited that I was. What an absolutely great place. My warranty didnt cover the task but Mr. Joe did what he could to save money and still provide an excellent job. I live nearly 200 miles away and I needed the confidence this would be done correctly. Job well done zMr. Joe.

I really appreciate star auto, especially Joey telling me exactly the problem and how it affects the vehicle. I work at take 5 oil change so if I cant figure out whats the problem with one of my customers vehicle I just send them over to Joey.

I’ve never had any car Maitenance or service provided to the level that Joey takes care of his clients/customers. If I have any car issue at all, I contact Joey and I am given an immediate peace of mind that the job will be completed in full, swiftly, fairly priced, and to the highest level of service. I have quit going to the dealership for my regular service intervals and any other car shop because of Joey and his excellent customer service. Joey will go above and beyond for his customers every single time. - even going to his closed shop on a holiday to change a car part for me so that I didn’t have to drive 4 hours for the holiday without AC. Check engine light was on my car, I called here Miss Mary got me in the next morning but it was too early so I came back the very next day Miss Mary is excellent. Her husband Joey it’s amazing he got my car in that evening it was like 4:00 PM so he called me up before anything was done and told me that in the morning he will be calling me and letting me know what it what will be the cost so the case was that I had a broken wire on top of my horness which is electrical. I didn’t know how much more money this car was going to cost me i’m a female just riding no nothing about mechanical work lol!! I went in with a 40-year old Oldsmobile which had given three mechanics no end of trouble in diagnosis. The folks at Star Auto had it back to me in 48 hours, having diagnosed and fixed a half dozen problems with it no one had even suggested looking at. I then drove it about 3000 miles. It ran better than I have ever had it run, was faster, and got significantly improved gas mileage. But most importantly, the cantankerous car made it, which I wasnt sure it would before seeing them.They gave me a fair price for work no one else even figured out they needed to do. They were also extremely communicative and friendly. If I ever need car work in New Orleans again, they are the only folks I will take my car to.

They were able to take care of my vehicle via walk-in. Very family oriented business, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, honest and informative. The Star Auto Repair team is the best. This mechanic butchered my friends 2009 Chevy Colorado. We brought the truck in for a new timing chain and they returned it totaled with steel shards in the oil. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS. I would highly recommend ANYONE ELSE. When it came to owning up to their mistakes they tiptoed around it and would not be honest.

Mrs. Mary is always pleasant, compassionate, & warm towards every issue I have had with each vehicle. Mr. Joe and Joey, Dave & Dustin are extremely knowledgeable, there is no guessing at what the problem is when I tell them what its doing, they KNOW. Repairs on cars are NEVER cheap. But I find Star Auto to be fast in repairing and getting my car back to me knowing Im in dire need of transportation. So in closing, I have in the past and will continue to recommend Star Auto for any vehicle repairs if you want reliable and honest and friendly service.

I went in with a blown head gasket, they fixed it right. I had went to 2 other places and the others said there was nothing wrong, but I knew better as I had oil and coolant mixing. Star Auto fixed it fast and cheap for a mechanic shop. Being a family owned business is a plus. They are good people and when I break my truck again its going back to them, because I know I can trust them to get it fixed right and fast.

I recently had to find a new auto shop closer to my house, so after googling nearby mechanics, I tried Star auto. I few weeks ago I needed a new water pump for my truck, and today I needed a new shock on one of my wheels.I can easily say this the nicest bunch of people you could hope to bring your vehicle to. Theyre very professional, have good prices, and are extremely fast. Theyll drop what theyre doing to help you out, and thats very hard to find. Ill definitely continue doing business with them in the future.

They quickly diagnose the problem with your vehicle and correctly repair it. While all auto repairs are almosr never cheap wherever you go, I have never felt that I was overcharged or charged for unnecessary repairs. I trust them to do a good job and they do.

Team went far above and beyond to help me fix my car. Cannot speak highly enough about these mechanics.I had a systemic problem with my vacuum system causing multiple oil leaks. I had a blown gasket on the crank casing which they repaired. It started leaking again in about 2 days, and when I brought it back they helped me diagnose a blown PCV valve, and let me go home and fix it myself. They then redid the gaskets again free of charge to make sure I was set right in the end. Ive driven more than 10k miles since they fixed the car and havent had a single problem since.Highly recommended for any mechanical problem you may have.

Brought my vehicle to them to have it checked, they kept it for 3 days to diagnose it but it was only suppose to be one day they charge me almost 300.00 dollars just to tell me I need new engine.My car was running rough but after they checked it,it run but die every time I stop, it wouldnt like that before I brought it to them.They didnt do a professional job with the wire that i had temporarily fixed,when the mechanic took the top valve cover off my engine to check it they messed up the wire that I temporarily fixed,they rewired it unprofessionally which why my car run worse.I would say the owner son very nice but they very slow and charge outrageous prices.I wouldnt recommend them to anybody I would have got better results going to neighborhood mechanic than them.
