Id tried this location for the first time, Im new in the neighborhood, but while I was getting my pedicure done one of the workers was badmouthing about a few costumers that came back the next day complaining about her nail polish melted, so the employee said it was her skin REALLY??? I m leaving this review so they can fix this issue for me im never recommend to anyone

When I walked in a already felt alienated. Instead of “hi welcome what can we do for you” I get hi! What you want!? Next the person who did my was too worried about betting on basketball games than the client. So I end up with bubble looking nails, my mail bed was burned with the machine on each finger, and the process for something that would be 1 hr 1/2 would end up being 3+ hrs of my time. Also…the color did not match what is was once it was put on. The only good thing was that the nails lasted awhile but I took them off ASAP because they were too ugly to stare at. Now I’m still trying to grow my natural nails out and it’s been month since I got my nails done. My nails feel so much thinner, sensitive, painful, and brittle. I’ve only had my nails done 7 times in my whole life and I’m 22 so this is rare for me. I did let the nail tech no I don’t do this al out but it didn’t stop them from being rough with my hands. I like the look of nails h it because if this experience I don’t think I’ll be getting my my nails done for a few years.You’ll probably have a better time than I did, but this was my experience.

The owner Nicole was so nice to take me 40 min before closing and Jasmine did an amazing job on my full set French nails . All workers/family very inviting and made you feel important….

I have used Star Nails for over 10 years. I have been always pleased with their service and my nails and pedicure. They are very conscious of their cleanliness and sanitization of their equipment.

I had moved to Mesquite needed to find a good Mani/Pedi salon even though they only go by appointments I just happened in at the right time and they were able to fit me in.Jasmine was amazing....and I will return and book appointments with her in the future +

Come here if you feel like getting mouthed off to. I was a frequent customer and I consider myself a great tipper. I didnt like a style so I requested a redo about halfway through which resulted in Mr. Tony having a fit, slamming drawers, mouthing off and leaving the salon. I would have gladly paid an upcharge (even 2x dip price) plus tip but he chose to be unprofessional instead. In the end the salon chose not to do my nails and the salon manager decided to say I was in the wrong somehow. Mind you I (surprisingly) maintained my voice and manners. Disappointment is the only thing I feel. As a paying customer I expect exactly what I want.

I am a regular customer at Star Nails in Mesquite. The technician who dipped my nails today was highly skilled and very quick. The shop owners and entire staff are always professionals in conducting business. Prices are reasonable. They welcome walk-ins although appts. are encouraged especially the end of the week when it is usually very busy.

This place was amazing!!! They did my dip nails in less than an hour! My nails look PERFECT 👌🏽 for Valentine’s Day! 😊

Everyone here is very friendly! They always do a wonderful job on my nails. This is definitely the best place in Mesquite to get your nails done! After your very first visit they will always remember your name and treat you as if you have been a long-time customer. I have had several different people do my nails here and they have all done a wonderful job.

Terrible experience as a new customer, i asked for a simple pedicure and kept trying to pressure me into getting a manicure and i simply declined. i had to wait for a while until someone came to do the pedicure and over all she rushed it and did a terrible job. also when i was about to leave she gave me a stank face because i obviously wasnt going to give her a tip. would not recommend or go there again!

Id rate -1 stars if i could. TINA was terrible. She was quick and was rough with my hands and even drew blood. I got dip nails and it was clear that some of my nails were longer than others. Then when she finished dipping my nails and putting the topcoat she then proceeded to put cuticle oil on my nails and massage all that dip powder into my hands along with the oil. I hated this service. There are many imperfections with my nails. TINA is by far the worst. I saw some of the other girls also doing nails send their clients to wash their hands. TINA did not do that for me. She seemed in a hurry to get me out the door and the place was not even busy. SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE

Someone told me I should go to this place because they do great nails and did the design I wanted. The place is really small and crowded and for the business they supposedly pull in and the quality the place was trash. Their chairs literally falling apart, I left with small leather pieces from their chairs all over my clothes and hands. I didnt even bother getting names because I knew from the moment my nail tech started gluing my tips on I would never come back. I do know tonys name for sure. So many people have hyped this man up its all gone to his head. Straight off the back he informed me he was the best there. Very cocky, not to mention hes saying this in front of the people he works with not very nice. He did my sisters nails not mine and he didnt even have her wash her hands, he was too focused on what everyone else was talking about rather than the hands he was working on. I was allowed to wash my hands but told I couldnt use soap. Tony makes very inappropriate remarks almost like a prepubescent boy. My nails are misshapen and splotchy (the woman cleaned the sides of my nails with a cotton ball and acetone which ate through the dip powder then just painted over with matte nail polish). I also have a cut to one of my fingers I dont know how that happened they didnt even bother cutting my cuticles. My sisters nails are thick and she wasnt even allowed to wash her hands. I would not recommend this to anyone. I do hope one day they would be able to afford new equipment, furniture and soap.

I used to really love this place but the lady that had done my nails the last 3 times killed it for me. She repeatedly cut me with the little grinder and her only response was beauty is pain, never a great response by the way, it infuriates the bleeding customer. My second red flag, Ive never had ingrowns but the way she cut my toenails almost caused one. The third and final nail in the coffin, I went in for a matching mani/pedi, the colors didnt match, the pink gel on my toes looked so goopy and chunky that it looked like I had gum on my toenails. On the positive side, I really like the owner Nicole and if you do go, get Anna, shes amazing but if you hear the beauty is pain lady then run, no good will come out of your experience.

They have a loyal base of people who frequent this salon. I was a first time customer and went here because of overall good reviews. This place was bland and mediocre at best. No ambiance...none of the four tv’s were even on. Usually I am offered a variety of pedicures and as a male customer, I usually get the full deluxe. However, this wasn’t offered to me during the pedi process. Oh well, I suppose they wanted to get me in and get me out and not bother with adding more $ to the transaction. New to the area and was shopping around. I can go ahead and mark this location off of my list.Also, I speak fluid Vietnamese, and they weren’t saying the nicest things about the African American lady who said she wanted to keep the color they initially put on, but didn’t like.

Literally came on a Sunday when they were 30 mins to close. I called and asked if they could take anyone and they said yes. I get there and waited almost an hour. I had to be at work and let them know. I then scheduled to come in the next day. I come in today to my appoint ment and the older lady is absolutely RUDE. making smart remarks in her language to where I had an app that translates everything to English. All I wanted was to soak my nails off and get a natural set! She continued to let me sit and wait there and walked to sit down and be on her iPad. This lady is absolutely rude and I will not be returning. WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD IN A SALON.

The owners, Nicole and Tony have been serving Mesquite for over 20 years.They are are currently COVID-19 barbacide certified and they ahere to all the guidelines, and then some.I have gone to this salon since I moved to Mesquite in 2016 and I have never been disappointed. They always make sure their customers are happy with the outcome. If you go there one time, Nicole will remember you for life, even if you dont go back for years after your first visit! Her memory is remarkable!Jasmine has done my nails for years and they always look great! She is a perfectionist! Everyone that works there is very talented, and Nicole and Tony both make sure everyones work is top notch.You do need to make an appointment, and they are very punctual. Even back before the guidelines they were fantastic at keeping time, they realize everyones time is very important. If they dont have time, they will tell you straight up. They wont waste your time, they will tell you when they have an opening, and if there is a cancelation, Nicole will call! Thats what I appreciate the most about them!They are always improving the inside and upgrading and updating, and I love being there every couple of weeks! Its my favorite self indulgence and I really look forward to my pedicure from Nicole, she is the best in DFW!

They were ok. Prices are affordable. I had a pedi and mani with shellac color. It was my first time coming and it was busy so i understand the need to be efficient but i felt the services were rushed and sloppy.
