I literally had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT AVIS! Do not go there save your money & go somewhere else 0/10 would not recommend! It’s one older lady there and she is as rude as they come it’s so many things they should’ve told me before coming up there they were very unprofessional. I couldn’t even get the car the day I reserved it after they had already taken my money.
Horrible customer service. I called ahead to let them know I was going to be coming to pick up my reservation. I had gotten delayed on my drive from Florida due to hurricane clean up in LA. I got to the mall and the GPS took me to the sears parking (great place for your address, pick a closed chain store) I got there 15 mins before closing but couldnt find the location. I tried calling the number 3 times and no one would answer the phone to help me. I ended up flagging down mall security and he told me where it was.I got there right at 12 on the dot and the employee locked the door as I was approaching. I got up to the door and she came out, I told her I had a reservation I had called about and I needed to pick it up. She advised that it was 12 and they were closed. I asked if she was really going to leave me hanging as we use them as a preferred corporate partner and have pre-existing agreements. Her reply was Yes I have a family to go home to. I said that was fine could I have the name of the independent owner of this location.I was handed a business card with the owners name. The only information on it was a phone number that just rang back to the phone inside the business (which no one will answer anyways apparently) and a fax number. There was no e-mail or any other way to contact management.After I was given the card she promptly closed the door in my face and locked it. If your company uses Avis I advise you avoid this location and maybe the company as whole as there is no way to rectify situations like this with Avis itself. There is no flexibility offered and service is very rude. I will be using our other preferred partner Enterprise for future business travel in rental vehicles. There apparently is no accountability within this company and Im going to be sure to let our corporate account person who manages these bookings to know how this affected business we needed to do in Dallas.
My husband and I needed a 7 passenger car for our family vacation. We booked and paid for the car a week before we needed it, went in to pick it up and was told that we needed to have a major credit card to rent a car with 7 seats, even though we had to the deposit money on our debit card. We had to cancel the reservation for that night, and my grandma was able to rent the car the next morning. We were put in a Ford Explorer which only has 6 seats, when we requested and paid for a 7 passenger car becausewe had 7 passengers. Not to mention the tags andregistration on the car we rented were SIX MONTHS EXPIRED. Won’t be using this company again.

The car that I rented was a compact. I was given a mini van. I was charged a extra day for being 20 minutes late. This was not my expectation of a low fee weekend.

The associate that works at the Mesquite location on Town East is very sweet. She is very helpful, and she has wonderful customer service, but I had an incident where two juveniles stole a truck and crashed into my rental car that was parked and unoccupied. I called Roadside Assistance, and that whole experience was horrible. They had absolutely no customer service what so ever.
Didnt have the car I selected. Couldnt add my 18 year son as a second driver, but was told on the phone to come in and add him.
No great customer service and never tells anything about any charges. And they charged me more then less then great again. Mrs.Roiah Ali for her to be a manager she speaks rude and does not keep her word, plus over charged me the 1st,2nd an 3rd time. 1st time she told me they were going to charge me 31$ a day but charged me 33$. Then when I went to re rent the same car she told me to bring it up to her so she can check the car in and she would help me go online and re rent the same car for 27$ a day but she didnt hep me and she charged me 39$ for the same car that was for 31$ at first! She informed me that she had been working there for your company for 20 years and if that is the way she deals with you guys company Im sorry but I would not refer anyone to Avis off of 3000 Town East Mall Suite D no more. Ans also they never answer your company phone at that location for nothing I can only reach them every blue moon as well as my insurance company( Allstate) WHICH is one of the best insurance company out here like I was thinking Avis rental was a GREAT RENTAL COMPANY TO COME TOO!

I was quoted 288.00 for a 4 day rental over a weekend, when i went to pick it up for that weekend they told me they misquoted me and it would be 577.00. When i was quoted i asked the man if that price was right and he told me yes that there was a promotion for that weekend. Then when i get there they didnt have the type of vehicle i reserved and said they were upgrading me for free but chaged me double and said there was no promotion for the weekend rental. I feel i was lied to all the way through the process.
First time renting from here & will not be renting there again. Was mislead on the options of adding additional days to rental and the policy could not be fully explained upon return of the vehicle. I was offered a discount on the vehicle because it smelled like smoke but ended up paying way more than what was initially discussed. Will be sticking with Enterprise from now on!!
I was told that if I wanted cancel my reservation 2 days before I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $50 when the site says you just need to cancel within 24 hrs. When I got back to the location they said I was going to be charged $250 for smoke damage when I didnt smoke anything while I had it. And the lady had on a mask so I dont know what she could be smelling anyway. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The service was amazing, quick and easy and the lady that helped me i think her name was Sonja or Sheila I cant remember but she was such a beautiful kind hearted person who made sure that I was taken care of, i definitely will be using them again in the near future
I use Hertz any other time because I get excellent customer service. I rented a vehicle for 10:30 only to be on the phone for 20min for them to hang up and not call back. 3.7 is way to much credit for a -1 experience. Avis no more of my money thank you very much Ill stick to Hertz.
I am very displeased with the Mesquite location. I rented it on Monday 04/13/20 because I blew the motor out on my personnel vehicle. It was due back on Saturday 04/18/20 in which I did, but I had no idea that this location closes at noon. My husband pulled up to the front door right at 12:02 p.m. in our personnel car and I pulled in shortly after 12:07. There was no one in sight. So we left the keys under neath the mat. So today I get a call at 1:05 p.m. from Rokiah saying that she needs the keys to the rental. So come to find out, they have no spare keys to the vehicle and that I had to get a locksmith to unlock the car and she also informed that I was still being charged for the rental. So of course I was very upset. So I was charged an additional $47.14 on top of $75.00 that I had to pay for the locksmith. Its just heart breaking when I already had to ditch out money to get my motor fixed and then this happens. But no worries, because I will never rent from here again, and your associate Rokiah is not so friendly.
Terrible customer service here now. I have been a customer for over 5 years we rent 1 car each year for a family vacation and it has always been great until now. My girlfriend recent went to go pick up a car we had reserved and it started out with a asian lady saying the car was not ready yet. She then proceeded to say they had cleaned the inside of the car but not the outside if my girlfriend wanted to wait they would clean it when they had a chance or she could take the car and wash it herself and get reimbursed. So she took the car which after checking hasnt even been cleaned inside and went to have it detailed. Also when she agreed to take the car they made my girlfriend back it out of the garage where it was at instead of driving it out for her. While there was a mechanic or whatever guy sitting right there watching doing nothing the whole time. The next day we went to get reimbursed since we picked it up at closing time on previous day and the asian lady was not there instead it was the branch manager. The lady stated she couldnt give us a reimbursement without talking to the owner who was the asian lady. So she called her and she said she did not agree to a reimbursement and there will be no money give back. Maybe it all happened because it was 12:30 ish and they close at 1 but still thats not how you conduct business when all we were supposed to do was pick up a car. Now we are dealing with corporate over this BS and probably will not rent a car here again until ownership changes.
Terrible experience with the Mesquite location. The employees there tried to up sale me on a vehicle because they didn’t have the car I reserved available. I let the employee know that in the past Avis has just given me the next available vehicle if they do not have the car I reserved. I told them I needed to be somewhere at 12. I made the reservation for 10am. I sat there in Avis and called the corporate number to ask what was the policy when it comes to not having the car I reserved. Corporate stated that the Avis employee should honor my reservation and provide me with the next available at no additional charge. So I let the store manager know. She said okay I will give you the next available. She then disappears for 45 minutes. I am still waiting. She asks me if I can wait until 11:30 for a drop off car. I told her no, I cannot wait I have to be somewhere at 12. She then disappears again. I am still waiting on her to bring me a car. Time is just passing by, no workers are anywhere to be found. At 11:30 a compact car arrives for drop off. The worker said there is the car, you can take it. I asked the worker if they were going to inspect the car before I drove off in it she said no. I asked them if they can clean the car like they do every other rental. The car remained sitting there for another 20 minutes. I asked them again if they can clean the car because I do not want to be liable for anything the previous driver did to the car. After waiting for over an hour my sister who was with me confronted the workers and asked them what they were going to do about the car. The employee began to get very angry and violent. Screaming “try me little girl cause I’m not the one I’m not the one. Come on cause if you wanna go we can go” I finally just said please can you clean the car so we can go. What a terrible experience, I am so disappointed in Avis on Mesquite.
Customer service at some locations was really bad. I was charged $1, 038 at the Mesquite location supposedly as deposit. The receipt said I was returning the car in Florida. The lady just told me to call my bank so they could release the money. The same lady told me to take the car into Sears Car Center to take care of a tire that was showing low pressure.
Quality of service was not good. Do not use the location in Town East Mall. They do not have a large selection of cars. Rep that works there is very short with people.
The car I reserve is never available at my reservation time. I ALWAYS have a vehicle issue.
Lady that worked today August 20th at 7:30 am was so rude at the counter when I dropped off, maybe it was to early for her but really needs some customer service training on how to communicate with customers

Ive used this Avis every week for the last couple of months - Rokia (spelling?) and her team are great! Theyre always willing to make the process as quick and enjoyable as possible. Would recommend this location!
The rental should be cleaned properly,but other than that the customer service is excellent especially if you use the online application.

Dave is wonderful. We rented about a year ago and he provided the best service. We return this year around this same time, and the whole process was a nightmare. We did not rent from Dave this time but from Clyde. He screwed up the entire rental agreement and payment as well. He could not give a clear answer in regards to whatever question we asked. Never again. That was unacceptable.
The car that I was supposed to get was not available and the price was more than I had reserved the car for. I had to get a car that was available and I was not happy at all!
I am a very satisfied, long term Avis user and rent a car 3-5 times per year. I recently rented a full-size sedan for 5 of us to travel. I was a little concerned going in how comfortably we would travel, but when I arrived at Avis, we were upgraded to a new large SUV that not only fit us perfectly, but drove smoothly and quietly. Thank you Avis!

Got in, got out fast and easy. No issues and the staff was very courteous and helpful. I suggest having a reservation, as they are usually very busy and rarely have any cars without one.

Reserved an economy car for 8am. Got there and they had only a Mustang convertible and a SUV, for a much higher rate. Was told it was because I reserved for 8am and didnt arrive until 10am. Nothing in paperwork says anything about reserved cars being available only at that time, and that is nothing like the awesome experience we had at the Enterprise in down the road.

I was a bit tentative to rent from an off-airport location but these guys were great. Avis is always my go-to rental company, and this lot handles both AVIS and Budget. Frequent renters that are used to Preferred status at the larger lots might be a little irritated at the fact you MUST wait at the counter here to pick-up and drop-off; but do try to be kind to the staff....they are having to pull double duty as counter agents AND lot attendants, as this location (unlike the bigger airport locales) does not have separate staff. Michael (my attendant) at this location was very friendly and professional despite some irritable customers with some rather rude comments (It was spring break week and many arrived for pick-up at the same time). I was in need of a class V vehicle for a week and received a very fresh Dodge Grand Caravan with many options and accessories which was a dream to drive. Both the rental check-in and check-out was handled quickly and efficiently with no hassles or problems. All staff members are very good at letting the customer know exactly what is in their rental agreement. Older AVIS pros already know these rules (if you choose to fill up yourself, bring in a receipt from within 5 miles of the drop-off, yadda-yadda), but this is very helpful to those unfamiliar with renting from the company and nice to see them taking the time to educate the customers instead of just pushing them off the lot when things are rushed and the lot is busy. Ill be more than happy to return to this location for an AVIS rental and recommend them. NOTE: Due to size of lot, availability of vehicles may be limited. If possible, I would (as with any smaller location) advise pre-booking to assure rental availability.

Rent abuses. Half an hour they charge you for a day. thieves
