Scheduled an appointment for 12:30. There was one customer at the chair already. For the next thirty minutes the barber was slow and even stopped completely at times to chat with the customer at the chair. Doesnt make sense to schedule an appointment when the barber cant be held to a schedule.Two stars because the receptionist was understanding and nice.

I used to get $9 haircuts at one of the local quick service places. I tried Roosters because it was close and I’m hooked. Want to feel like a man? They will treat you pretty much like a king with attention to detail, hot towel on your face, a neck rub, soft drink if you want it, and shaving your neck and edges. I have grown a beard mostly so I can get a straight razor shave like I’m the new sheriff in town. Now I understand why women enjoy spas. 2.5 times the cost but I’m not 9 years old anymore and have outgrown fast food like haircuts.

Looks nice and clean, decent reviews, but the shave I got was absolutely terrible. I think the reviews are purely for haircuts. Even though I had 30m for my beard grooming appt and showed early (and was seated early), the stylist/barber who saw me wouldnt do a head shave too- I already use clippers and razers myself, so my head wouldve taken 5m to shave. Regardless, she refused based on time. I left well before my 30m were up. I politely offered a bare minimum tip and left.She seemed to be very uncertain about grooming my beard in general. Will never return.

Yes I know its a little pricey....but compared to what? You get a great haircut, in adult setting and by a professional barber not someone trying to build up a clientele....skip a pizza this month and get a nice hairstyle

Had an appt at 11:30. Front desk lady called me and asked if i was coming in this is at 11:34. I was 2 mins away and when I arrived at 11:40 clock switched to 1141 and she said since I’m 10 minutes past we will have to reschedule. Extremely unprofessional they don’t deserve my money

Walked in for a beard trim ended up getting that and a awesome fade. Jenn is a great stylist and Ms.F (full name unk at this time) did a marvelous job on my beard. Jenn followed up with a hot towel shave...new spot as of NOW!!

I saw Abby, she consulted the kind of hair cut I wanted and then offered suggestions to make it look better for me personally. If you are social, she was great to talk to while getting your cut.

Very nice barber shop with extremely friendly staff. Walk in appointments are not allowed so make sure to call ahead to schedule. Prices are a little higher than other barber shops in the area but is worth it for a relaxing experience.

The regular Barbershop I go 2 was booked up, so last minute I decided to take a risk by visiting Roosters for the first time. Kim was who cut my hair and I Will never go to anyone else again! No lie. The customer service was excellent and her technique was even better! 10 out of 10 highly recommended!!!!

I scheduled a haircut right before a friends funeral. I scheduled it for 12pm. They called and said that the stylist had a conflict and moved me back to 12:30. Due to the heavy traffic around Providence I wasnt able to find a parking spot until about 5 minutes after my appointment time. I walked in and was met by the stylist with a scolding tone. She started by giving me a list of why she couldnt cut my hair now. With being a little out of sorts with my impending circumstances, I politely said, OK, thanks have a good day. I hate it, but her attitude has solidified my business somewhere else.

I have always avoided this place because it was a little pricey. But I finally decided to try it and I am so glad I did. What a great haircut and service I got. I highly recommend going especially if you are tired of hit or miss haircut places.

Kim cut my hair today, and gave me a beard trim. I am very pleased. She takes her time, cuts your hair the way YOU want it cut. Very professional. Found my new place for a haircut. Thanks Kim!

This place has always given me a nice haircut. Usually i am nervous about new people cutting my hair and possibly making mistakes but i have had three different barbers there and they all do a great job. And after the hair cut you get a hot towel placed on your face while they wash your hair. I wont go anywhere but here when i want to get my hair cut.

Honestly the worst haircut Ive ever had told them to trim it up and they cut off the sides and dont even touch the top so it looks like Ive got a birds nest on my head and my hair hasnt been cut at all looks way worse than it was before.

Ive had almost everyone in the place cut my hair and have never been disappointed. They all do the post cut massage a little different. And each one defaults to a different amount of conversation. I like to talk while I get my hair cut and some of them are better suited for that than others.

Was greeted with a warmwelcome. Loved the atmosphere. Casey did me and my buddy. Haircut was not exactly what I asked for, but Ive had worse. I will just say she was not very talented in the back rubbing department but maybe next time we will get someone with more talent. I think with a different barber, I would definitely come again.

Ive been going to roosters since they opened the first store in Providence main. I wont take my hair anywhere else. Friendly and professional Ive never been dissatisfied here.

This is the best place in Huntsville to get your hair cut but... Ive been going there for about 9 months now and I get my hair cut 2 times a month and I tip the young lady that cuts my hair no less than $10 per cut. With my job having very inconsistent hours I have had to reschedule my hair cut appointment for the same day 2 times last minute. Both times they decided not to help me out and charge me for a full 2nd haircut.... This is a little over kill for someone who is very loyal and tips very will... I can see $10 or $15.. If this happens again I will no longer visit this barbershop.

Expensive, $26 for haircut, shampoo, hot towel, quick shoulder massage, and a cold beer or drink. After trying a few different stylists Ive found a couple that do a great job. Lindsey & Heather. Conversation was good, they took their time and did quite well, and are easy on the eyes. Lindsey does not use a disposable razor. Also if you request a straight razor for your shave she can use that as well but they will charge an additional $10. Use the Roosters on Providence.

I would recommend this shop to no one. I made a reservation to get my head shaved and was given a young lady who had never used a straight razor. Because of a language barrier she could barely communicate and tried to use electric trimmers. And she asked if she could call over assistance and I said please. Instead of the experienced barber choosing to cut my hair he was going to instruct her on how to use the straight razor for the first time. Her lack of experience and anxiety resulted in several lacerations. What should’ve been a relaxing 45 minute experience turned into a 22 minute disappointing adventure. I’m hoping for the best in escaping a blood- borne disease.

Its taken me a long time to find a good barbershop and I think Ive finally found it. I always get treated well, and the barbers and receptionists are always friendly. The cuts are a bit on the expensive side but well worth your money. I wont go anywhere else.

Waited an hour for a haircut while 3 other employees stood around doing absolutely nothing. After my haircut was done it was no better then one from somewhere such a great clips. Don’t waste your time.

Had an apppontment at 10:00 with Shannon. Showed up at 09:50 was greeted and offered a drink. 15 - 20 minutes went by so I asked the receptionist what the deal is. Standard answer: She is running over. I am wondering how long they would have let me sit there before saying anything. At least have the courtesy to give the customer an update when you run 15 - 20 minutes passed their schedule appointment time. Wont be going back.

Had a great 1st time visiting. Took my 80 year old dad to get a cut, shampoo and shave. He loved it and well be back.

The girls that work here from the receptionist to the stylist are always friendly. I always leave here with an awesome haircut. After coming here I doubt I will ever go anywhere else to get my haircut.

This is my favorite place to get my haircut. The staff does a great job at making u feel comfortable by offering beer or water while u wait. They also do a great job on the haircuts that include a short shoulder massage hot towel on the face and hair wash. It is a little pricy but i dont mind paying the price for a nice consistent experience.

Based on favorable recommendations from friends, my grooms party and I made reservations the day of the wedding for haircuts and shaves. The hot towels, massages, and pampering is nice... but the true test of a barber shop is the haircut. I have to say it was one of the most disappointing ones Ive ever paid for. The barber didnt listen to what I asked for, cut the top too short, and didnt offer to fix it or ask me what she could do to make it better. The best I got was a slightly indignant Sorry. I could have been a jerk, but the stakes were too high on that day to risk someone with an attitude hacking on my head. Even the cheap places let you take a look at your cut and fix problems. The backs of all of our heads were cut exactly the same... regardless of the style of the cut. Im a bit of a perfectionist, and the trim around the ears and fade from side to top was ragged and uneven... probably not noticeable to anyone else, but I noticed. The biggest disappointment had to be the disposable razor used for the shave. I use a better quality razor at home, and if Im at a barber shop, my expectation is an old school straight razor. I had some wicked razor burn around my neck the next day from theirs.If youre looking for pampering, atmosphere, or sports and drinks while you wait, Roosters is the place to go. Its a classy joint, and feels good just to walk in. If you want a good haircut, or an old-school shave, find somewhere else. Youll pay (dearly) for atmosphere and fluff.

The staff is unorganized, rushed, and rude. I made an appointment and still ended up waiting about an hour to be seen. The stylist was nice enough though, and my haircut was alright.Bottom line, if youre in a pinch or need a quick cut, I would consider them. I wont be coming back if I dont have to though.

I went to roosters yesterday 01/25/2013 they were excellent. They finish your hair cut with a straight razor which I like because I think it makes your hair cut look better. I will be back again.

Rooster's is fantastic! I've been going there for years. I can get a haircut, beard trim, eyebrow wax, back wax, a massage and free drinks (water, coffee, soda, beer, whatever)! The only things they don't have are mani-pedis and a personal trainer! If you are, or want to be, crisp, clean and metro, you've got to go to Rooster's.

I bet management at Roosters hired people to put all that garbbage up about everyone elses barber shops and said go to roosters instead and then to write up a bunch of crap about how good Roosters is. Thats just my theory. Yall have a good one, and if you dont believe it happens just google disinformation agent and youll see what Im talking about after reading a couple articles.
