I reserved a car from this location on 9/3/2021 online to assure this was more than enough time to have a vehicle ready for pick up on 9/23/2021 to go out of time I received a call around 9:15 saying they had to cancel my reservations.....I have NEVER had any problems with this location before...I chose this location because its less than 5 min from my house.....THE FACT YOU CALLED ME A COUPLE OF HOURS BEFORE I WAS TO PICK UP THE RENTAL IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL....ABSOLUTELY NOT HAPPY...How is that even possible to not have a rental I reserved it 20 days ahead of time...SMH....SO DISAPPOINTED!!!
I just wish there were better vehicles. The vehicle we had was wrecked prior to me and the alignment was off. Looking at most of the vehicles, they seemed outdated or had cosmetic damage. Some of the vehicles did not look like rentals they did not look like the rental standard.Overall the staff was friendly and the process was quick. The vehicles need a serious upgrade for the price that was paid.
I chose this location because it had better reviews than other places. I spent money to take an Uber to get a car. I get there and they refused to give me a car because I presented a MasterCard with the PayPal logo since it is “internet based”. What does that even mean? It’s a MasterCard. Would not accept my electronic Apple Card. Basically told me I was out of luck. Would never recommend.
I rented a car online (mistake #1) in April. I called a week before I was expected to pick up the vehicle. I was told that I would need to have a major credit card available for the rental and that this was a new policy that took effect in April 2021. Understandable. I called my parents, in-laws, and siblings and no one had a major credit card, so I drove to the location to see if there was anything I could do. The woman that greeted me refused to help. I asked if I could speak to anyone that would be able to help and she became irritable and coarse. I asked why she was being rude when I just needed to talk to someone and she decided to get very defensive and started rolling her eyes and smacking her lips to get me out of the office. Another worker handed me the brochure with the customer service number on it and asked that I call the customer service line to see if they would override the credit card requirement.I was told by customer service that I would need to speak with the manager of the rental location, but I did not want to encounter that woman again. So I cancelled the reservation and decided to talk to another company who has the same credit card requirement, but were willing to work with me seeing as I (or any family members) dont have a actual credit cards that arent debit cards. They even game me the same price as long as I put down a bigger deposit.This happened on 07/09/2021 @ 3:30PM at the Gus Thomasson location. I did not catch the womans name, nor would I want to at this point.
Good. Professional. Understanding.Waited for me to pick up when I forgot my drivers license and he had to go all the way home to get it.When I returned the vehicle after closing time no one was there.I should’ve called first. But I left the vehicle and kept the keys. They accepted the vehicle the next day and did not charge me for keeping the keys until the next morningDallas trafficThank you soooo much

Please do not rent a car from Mr. Matthew Davis at the Gus Thomason location. My parents rented a van, got upsold for numerous upgrades including a premium roadside service. They were driving to Florida. Tires popped twice to Mississippi and they were stranded numerous hours in 100+ degrees. They called and was put on hold, then told sorry call your insurance by Mr. Davis. Luckily our insurance assisted. After paying for couple of patches on the tire, it was not deem safe to drive back. We called Mr. Davis again to leave the van in Miami. He basically said “I don’t know, can’t help you”. Thankfully we brought to a honest and reputable hertz vendor in Miami. They confirmed our suspicions that we have the premium package, should have received help from hertz and NOT insurance or our own pockets to patch the van and fend for ourselves regarding the drop off of a unsafe van. Hertz Miami even felt so bad for our treatment, refunded us $500 themselves. Do not trust the shady Gus Thomason location or the advice of Mr. Davis. My parents are senior citizens and could have been killed on the side of the road. Forget ethics or compassion..but you are a business and my parents paid for a service you lied about and refused to cover.

This location is extremely unprofessional. The young lady up front played with her braids the whole time while speaking with me. She spoke extremely fast and rolled her eyes when I asked about getting a discount. I made reservations on line and she said it was too early to process it. The manager didnt even give me the courtesy to address my concern. Just an unpleasant experience and I would not recommend this place to a dog! Be aware of BAD customer service!!!

First time using a rental company ... reserved a Sports Car, got a Chev Camaro CONVERTIBLE! ... Nice. In and out in less then 10 min. Will use them again
Had a reservation for noon on a Saturday for two days. Hand then my credit card. They said it didn’t go through and that was my fault because I didn’t have enough available credit. Hand her my debit card with thousands in it and the lady says the card isn’t going through. It is my business debit card. Never have any problems with it. So then I have to go get my mom so I can use her credit card since I couldn’t use Apple Pay for my Apple credit card. Then they tell me that I would have to pay extra to add an extra driver to the car aka ME. Hahhahaha I had to say thank you and walk away after that. This place is a joke. I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Maybe that is why Hertz is almost out of business.

You didn’t feel pressured and they really was concerned about what you wanted, plus your satisfaction and that what their competitors sometimes forget. Nice friendly service, but the floor needs mopping
The customer service is horrible at this office and on the phone. I received the vehicle with a very strong smeel of cigarret, half of the gas in the tank. I payed for one type of vehicle and they gave me another one. It was really bad experience.

I rented a car from here thinking I would give it a try since my insurance recommended them. However, the customer service is horrible and you do not get a solid answer from these people. I called them to see if there was another car they could provide me with and they said NO I told them I did not feel safe in this car because it has blind spots that prevent me from seeing cars which I need to see all my surroundings. They have not even bothered to call me to tell me they have another car or anything. They just keep telling me we can promise a specific car will if I told you I do not be safe you should be jumping on the phone and finding me a car. I told them it also was jerking but again they are not listening to me. I should have went to Enterprise the people I have used for years. Using Hertz was my biggest mistake and I would not have anyone else use them at all. It might just be this location if it is someone needs to get in there and fix the issues they have. I called several times and was placed on hold for over 20 minutes no apology or anything just that it was busy. You do not do business that way and if they think people will come back they will not. This is the worst experience I have had with renting a car.
Worst rental car I’ve ever had. It smelled terrible, was dirty, & the gas tank was nearly empty.

They gave me a dirty rental didnt insist on giving me a vehicle that was lease half clean I will never come to this location again I called asked questions about the price I was charged they get a attitude each time I called I wouldnt recommend no one to this location I been a hertz loyal customer for awhile hertz never gave me a dirty car or 7/8 of gas that wasnt full luckily I called customer service and asked could I change out the vehicle someelse where Ill pay $700 to a rental place that appreciates my loyalty

Alexis was awesome, very courteous and informative. She took care of me beginning to end. The malibu was clean and had all the bells and whistles in it. If you want a truly great experience, come to the mesquite Hertz location.
I had to be out of town yesterday and had previously used enterprise without a problem. After waiting for an hour at enterprise we (me and my father) were told they didnt even have the car we reserved with them, and they couldnt get us anything until 4 pm. So we called this place. They were very nice, and while someone was helping us the man I spoke to over the phone handed his co-worker the keys to a car he had given us a rate for. We were in and or after about thirty minutes with the car we needed. Honestly, Id use this place to rent a car again.
State farm sent me to Hertz with my reservation number after I was in an accident. I get there and they have no cars for me to rent. I started to panicked because I couldnt miss work.The two people working that night were able to find something and get me into it. The lady helping me (I dont remember her name) was SO freaking nice, funny and just great. I was so upset after the accident and trying to get a car so I didnt miss work. She explained everything and I cant say enough good things about her.
I have used this Hertz rental establishment last March they were very helpful. The pickup was extremely easy we were in and on our trip in less than 30 minutes. The drop off was just as easy. We will be definitely be using them again.
Horrible customer service. Came out of the car to open a gate, door closed behind me... Car locked itself while keys were in the ignition. The car is on, the dog is inside and their is no way for me to open the door. I called and asked for help, they told me it was my problem and their road side assistance would charge me $240 to come unlock it. What kind of car rental company doesnt have spare keys?
Bad customer service. So rude, they put me on hold for many times by purpose until the working time is finished at 12 noon. and they were laughing on the phone with each other. Never get from them again!!!
Left one of their rentals at a repair shop as I was advised by them to do. They didn’t pick the vehicle up for 6 days and charged me for this time. No notification as to why, no communication, just $244 taken from my account. I saw this after a few days and was told by Hertz customer service that everything was fine and they were within their right to do this. Only the body shop stating that the vehicle was left there unattended for six days helped my case. Hertz made a huge mistake and took money out of my account without notifying me to let me know why. I consider that theft.

Wide variety of cars and SUVs are available for rental. Call your reservation in as early as possible to get the vehicle you want. Sometimes they have to call around to other locations to find the car you want and get it delivered to the location nearest you. Last minute request limit you to whats there on the lot. Also, its a good idea to pay extra for their insurance where you have zero responsibility to the vehicle in case something happens. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only complaint I have is about the Lobbys appearance, its dirty and dingy.
I dont usually write reviews but when im very satisfied i do. My car needed repair and i needed a rental until its fix, i ended keeping Hertz rental for 3 weeks. It was a life saver, bottom line. Go see Justin, this guy had everything ready in minutes and answered all my questions. Very professional service, i would go back when in need of a rental again.
My husband and I bought a 2017 Nissan rouge from them last night and we had such a great experience scott was a very good salesman made sure this was what we wanted her in a year or so we are coming back to get my hisband a new car to thank you!!!!

I asked to be picked up from a paint and body shop the guy on the phone giving me the run around about calling another location, when hes only 9 mins away he was very dry on the phone like he didnt wanna be bothered just very poor customer service here I wont be back thats not how you treat customers. If you dont feel up to working stay at home.
