Rented a Mini Van for a week vacation in Destin FL. And I must say the staff was super nice, vehicle was perfect, and the online reservation was super easy. I will only rent here from now on, folks say yourself a lot of time and heartache with other companies. Trust Me this is the spot!!!!!!!

Terrible experience! Despite the already bad reviews, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try budget (Town East) anyways thinking people only write reviews when they have a bad experience, BUT I wish I wouldn’t have. We booked a SUV WEEKS in advance and we arrived the day of pick up to be told that they didn’t have a car for us nobody bothered to even call us ahead of time either so they put us in a small car, when we got in the car there was trash left everywhere inside, it smelled like marijuana BAD and I refused to let my daughter ride in that car. The lady said we could come back later and see if we could trade the car we didn’t have until later, we we’re leaving for vacation HENCE WHY WE BOOKED THE CAR IN ADVANCE!! We ended up having to go to the Irving airport location to get a new car and they were great! Needless to say, save yourself the trouble and go directly through the airport location or reserve elsewhere, cause this was unprofessional and a hassle.

This place literally ruined our family vacation. We reserved 3 cars two months ago for our family trip to Tennessee. They call us the day before we are to leave and tell us they have no cars for us. The day before really! So I called the corporate number trying to find a car for our family, I explain what happened the guy says I get can you two cars to pick up at the airport, he said it would be the same reservation and they would honor the price on our original reservation. I ask do we need a credit card he says no I am reserving 2 mid size SUV! So we all get in the car travel all the way out to the airport at our appointment time and guess what they don’t have any SUV MID size! So they not only screwed us once but twice. No we are running around trying to find cars so that we have enough room for our family trip. They should be ashamed of themselves and should have made it right with us.

This has to be one of the most unprofessional locations. Stay away from budget Mesquite Texas. They did not have the 7 passenger SUV I rented. No one checked the car when it was returned by previous renters because it had damages and I had to clean the inside. No one in my family smokes and I was transporting little girls. Was charged for smoke smells. Funny. NO ONE CHECKED AFTER PREVIOUS DRIVER. I had to call to have charges for smoke removed from my card. Even worse, Im being charged for the damages. Thankfully I have the form. I will be filing formal complaints.

I’ve used this Budget rental office to rent my vehicles on several occasions and customer service has been excellent. Rokiah is very professional and goes over and beyond to make sure your rental experience with them is one of the best. I’m in and out with all my needs met and the vehicles are always nice and clean.

I reserved a car and when I arrived at the counter they told me that she didnt have a car available. I asked if she could call other locations and she said she could not. She did mention that some car were on their way but she had no idea when they would be available.

I rented my car September 2, 2020 and turned it in September 9,2020. I paid a $100 (hold charge) and here it is October 7, 2020 and I have yet to receive my refund. Ive called to get this issue resolved but the reps are saying theyve sent over the fax to my bank and keep giving me case numbers. My bank has no knowledge of this. Im only giving 2 stars because of this. The price for renting the car was perfect and done in a timely manner.

Yes I was charged for a vehicle I rented that was dirty and had stains and pet hair inside as well as smell of cigarettes. When it was rented to me I had asked for compact car but she was out of vehicles so I took a returned vehicle to make my trip..I am allergic and do not smoke. I suffer from serious case of asthma. Love The rental and I alerted the agent of stains inside. I wasnt able to clean it up but should of had to anyway. I was impressed with truck just sad of been mistaken as the one before me who left truck in uncleaned condition. Thanks again.

I rented from Avis back in Oct and the vehicle I picked up was extremely filthy with sticky soda residue all through out. I had to clean the vehicle before being able to use it for my trip. So then I decided to use budget this last time and ran into the same issue extremely filthy with food crumbs and chocolate smeared allover the back seat of the vehicle, the lady at the front desk looks at me like Im crazy cause Im asking for the vehicle to be cleaned. So a man comes and get the keys from me takes the vehicle to the garage then brings it back 10 mins later. All he did was vaccum the drivers seat floor. With all that Is going around with Covid, why are your vehicles not cleaned, let alone Disinfected?! Hopefully this will encourage better cleaning procedures for future rentals

The information I was quoted on the phone did not match the information at the location. I reserved a compact and when I got there none were available. She upgraded me at MY EXPENSE!! DID NOT OFFER TO GIVE ME THE PRICE I WAS QUOTED EVEN AFTER I EXPLAINED THAT WAS YOUR ERROR. She said the reservation center does this all the time. I was also not informed about a $100 deposit over the phone.

When I returned the vehicle I was told to go vacuum the interior or I would be charged $400 due to dog hair, we did not have a dog in the vehicle ever.

Was not happy when dropping off vehicle. No staff was there until 5:45pm to drop off when I got to location at 5:10pm. Had myself and another customer call corporate to complain about no one being at said location. This is the first time I have ever had any trouble with Avis. Hope this will be the only time with the Mesquite Tx location.

She told us that before we left and after we return the vehicle.From there we spent our mileage driving to Dallas love field budget rental car and they really tried hard not to put us into another one but did end up giving us a different vehicle eventually. At this point we are about four hours late into our vacation drive to Florida. We were put into another vehicle that reeked of marijuana.We got to spend our vacation driving around smelling like marijuana. Apparently budget doesn’t mind putting families and vehicles where it reeks of drugs. Now our biggest concern is will my has been pass a drug test when he returns to work if he’s randomly checked. And of course our children’s clothes smell like marijuana. On top of that we got to cross the state lines and drive we’re at the illegally smelled like marijuana.We got to spend our vacation driving around smelling like marijuana. Great customer service

Yesterday was a horrible experience, went to rent a car waited 10 minutes until someone noticed I was there because they were in the back eating . Got the quote & everything I didn’t have enough on my card so I let her know I will be going to the bank to deposit, I went back she asked for my license & card then my social that I found odd I didn’t know that they need your social but in case any identity theft happens I know who to blame !! She then went up on the price & said oh no I need a credit card ! Like really if that truly is the case why didn’t she make it clear before I went to the bank to deposit it all made no sense . On their sign it says we do not accept chime cards NOTHING ABOUT ONLY CREDIT CARDS !!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE WAIST OF TIME AND CANCELED TRIP !!!

I picked up a 2019 Chevy Tahoe to take my son to college. The online reservation process was very easy. When I arrived at the location I expected to be there a while but the attendants on pick up and drop off were very fast and friendly. The total time online picking out a car, picking up and dropping off only took about 30 minutes. This is the only place I will rent a car from. Thank you!

Speed and Reliability

I had the worst experience with the customer service at this specific location. I had rented a car and paid for the service a few days ahead of my trip. When I went to pick up the car, I was told that it hadn’t arrived from the airport and I would have to wait 10-15 min. While waiting, I overheard the clerk explain she gave my car to someone else. There were several walk ins all waiting for cars as well. I ended up waiting an entire hour before the cars finally started to arrive only to witness another clerk give the car I was waiting for to a walk in customer. When I asked what was happening, I was told “first come, first serve.” I’m a very patient customer, but this made me so angry considering I had paid for the rental a few days before. By this time I was so frustrated I called the customer support line. They apologized and offered an upgrade, but I had to pick it up at the airport. The customer service there was completely different. They were so helpful and attentive. Bobby made sure to redeem the experience. In the future, I’ll just deal directly with the airport location, even if it further away.

I was there For an hour and a half. I want to be turned away. She helped other customers on and off. Very upset.

We have used Budget for many years for our rental car needs. I love the Town East location, but the staff is always friendly even when we use a different office. Vehicles are always clean and well maintained. Ease of pick up and return is great and any issues are addressed immediately. Thank you Budget!

The vehicle was not ready at our pick up time. They had to have it washed but did a really bad job of cleaning it. The windows on the inside were so dirty we had to try to clean them some. The staff was unorganized. I will go back to Dollar.

Trash service! Do not go here!

Normally good, but recent bad experience will probably keep me from coming back. Ordered a passenger van more than a month before needed. When I came to pick it up it wasnt here. Clerk tried her best and secured another one from the airport. It was filthy. They worked hard to get it ready to go. But overall our trip was delayed by three hours because of their incompetence. Really disappointing.

Normally I would post rates as a because Im not sure whats out there to get a 5. But after being told that the Love Field location only lease cars to people that show their plane tickets, Ive switched to the Town East Location which in my opinion was a better choice. At the Love Field location for their fast lane customers I get a text 20 minutes before arriving there the car will be locate. At the Town East location the counter person actually gave me a choice of cars that I preferred so thats a plus. So overall the Town East location made my expectations. Great Job.

The staff was rude, they left open alcohol under the passenger side seat and hair in the car and then when I returned the vehicle tried to charge me 250 to vaccum dog hair out that was left there after the previous person rented it.. they didnt clean it before they gave it to me then tried to change me to clean it.. the experience was horrible..i dont feel valued as a customer and thats fine..i just wont be back.. and Ive always rented with budget..worst experience ever

Awesome service I love picking up the vehicles at other locations besides the airport because of the fees. This location was great from the manager to the employees they treat you like royalty speaking to you when you first enter the building they were quick made certain that I was satisfied explain the process when I needed to drop it off and I was on my way. You can go to any budget Rental if you great customer care go to the Mesquite Texas location.

So I reserved a car on Friday, prepaid it with customer service traveled almost an hour from where I live only to be told that they dont have any cars available after talking my money...I DO NOT RECOMMEND

If I could give this place a zero I would!!!! I have rented from this company for years and in particular this location to many times to count for business matters. I scheduled yesterday and used my card online. Once I arrive to pick up a van to attend my grandmothers funeral out of state I immediately learn their is a new owner. They did not have my vehicle that I reserved. Then to top things off i was denied not because of a lack of funds but because she claims my credit was denied! I literally have a business account with this company. I’m very upset and would stand in front of this business with a sign to warn customers. I feel discriminated against

Staff was very friendly and quick. But the vehicle offered to me was an AWD/4WD vehicle, but it was not and I found out at the worst time.

You nearly sabotaged my entire vacation with a last minute Equifax report that I have no time to dispute. That should have been done the minute that I made the reservation several days earlier. Fortunately the person at the counter helped us to get around it. Also because of that, I was rushed into the car only to discover on the way home that it had been leased to heavy smokers and not treated properly for that. I managed to get rid of the smell, but that isnt my job.

Reserved a vehicle a month ago, received a confirmation call the day before my reservation. The day of, I was called and told they did not have the type of vehicle i requested and were waiting for cars to arrive the airport. I was advised not to even show up until I received a call back from the location. Never received a call back. Spoke to several people on the 800 numbers that just referred me from department to department. I was ultimately told I would need to pick up a car from the airport and that the rate would not be the same, which is completely ridiculous considering that you all are the ones that could not fulfill what was ordered. And when I asked to speak to a supervisor, the line magically disconnected. I have dealt with this particular location for years and have never had a problem. This information will be shared on every platform I have access.

Paid in full for a vehicle and when I showed up to pickup the car the Budget this happened. As my Uber was pulling up to the door the employee (Sonya) who was standing outside, looked at the car and quickly turned and locked the door. I found that odd, but I went up to door and found people inside and considering that I already paid in full for the vehicle I knocked and let them know I had a paid reservation. The employee responded through the door that she didnt have a reservation under my name. So I reconfirmed I did, and she left and returned a few minutes later and said yes, I found your reservation but we are closed. This was at 12:04 pm. What was the problem? She was rude, lied and for all the time she spent asking me questions she could have just given me the keys to my paid vehicle but she preferred to just leave a paid customer standing outside like an jerk. Sonya Im sure you got some satisfaction from that moment.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! Worst rental location Ive ever been to. Reserved my car 3 weeks ago for pickup at 8am, waited until 9am and no employees ever showed up for work!! This is not the first time this has happened. Rented from here last October and the employee was over 45 minutes late, and then upgraded the car to try to convince us not to complain about her being late. Very rude and unprofessional employees.Take your money somewhere else!!

I really appreciate and commend this Budget rental place (MQ2). I am a regular renter in this office and every time I rent a car, they are going beyond expectation and they always take care of their business that the renter will be satisfied. The employees were all friendly and wearing a smile all the time..They always make you feel you are part of their family and they are so interested in every persons story and it will make you feel so comfortable talking to them. I rented a car that had a strong smoker smell in it. Their policy says no smoking. I would have thought the car would have been de-smoked before renting it. Normally I have pretty good service with Budget but was disappointed for the first time.

I rented a car on 12/4/2015 and it was to small. I asked if they had something a little bigger and for a mere $10 more, I received a full size car. What impressed me the most was the kind and friendly service I received, and when I realized the vehicle I rented wasnt going to work, they did everything to ensure I was a satisfied customer. Staff is very unprofessional.I called twice to confirm my price of my rental and both times I was told the same answer. When I went to return the rental, suddenly the price shot up $300 for something that was not disclosed when I made my reservation. I assure you, the car I rented was not worth $750. The tire had slashes in it, there was no spare. The inside was filthy with dirt and stains, the inside smelt of heavy, headaching fabreeze, the alignment was off and the steering was super lose. Now I understand I didnt rent a Cadillac, but maybe these people should take a little more time and pride in their work. I guarantee that the car youre picking up to rent was probably just returned a few minutes ago from a previous customer. Save your money, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

This shouldnt even be a 1 star..Worst place possible to rent from. They always have an excuse to why you cant rent .Apparently no one works there. Today was the 2nd time ive had to wait over 45 minutes for a worker to even show up when they are supposed to open at 8am...we waited for a hour and there was at least 6 people there to drop off cars..

Supposed to have a fullsize car at 9. 9:35 still no car. Paid in advance online the night before. Offered me a truck. Then someone brought a car in and had to wait for it to be cleaned. 9:55 finally get a car. Very disappointed.

Very disappointing! Even though I booked a reservation in advance, a vehicle wasnt available when I arrived at the appointed time and destination. No remedy was available from representative Sophia (declined to provide her last name) when I called customer support. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I was forced by the website to give at least 1 star, otherwise I wouldnt have.

Misleading closing time for Sunday. Employee I talked to on the phone rudely told me I could come to pick up my reservation on Monday.

Literally the worst experience I’ve ever encountered in the car rental world.The lady behind the counter was awful. She said I needed two forms of ID. I’ve been renting cars very regularly for roughly 10 years. I’ve never been asked for two IDs before. There was no email stating this “new rule” however this was included in the email. Stating I needed one ID unless invalid. I showed my frustration and the miscommunication between her and “budget” and she immediately got defensive. We got into an argument and I had to leave. Awful experience all around. Budget you need to state this in the emails. I completely missed family funeral because I was unable to get another reservation.
