So, this PF has been my all-time favorite gym. They have great, updated equipment and its kept clean. They have many Equipment Spray & Paper towel stands everywhere which is super important to me since I always thoroughly pre-wipe down any equipment I use. The womens locker room is very large and offers privacy by separating the locker spaces, showers changing booths and toilet/sink areas. The stand-up tanning booths and rooms are always clean and maintained, the water massage tables and chairs are also kept well. ** So, even though the rooftop AC system is down until the end of July when parts come in, the management has gone out of their way to make sure the club stays cool! It was a work in progress to get that all worked out with the portable units, but I just walked in and its COOL UP IN HERE! ** I was also getting frustrated about the AC issue, even to the point where I checked out a couple other gyms (EOS/Esports/La fitness), but none of those offered me the level of equipment, staff friendliness and comfort level at the way THIS gym is setup. I WILL STAY HERE, THANK YOU! The management here is responsive to customers and they really are trying hard to make sure the members are taken care of. Thank you to all my PF staff and manager, I see you! 👍💪🥰

This is a great no fuss, no pressure gym that offers nice equipment that is easy to use. I love the giant fans that keep it cool while I am working out. It is also very clean and well laid out.

Countless days where nobody opens the gym, this morning is the 4th time that Ive ran into in just 2 months of coming here. I have no problem changing my review if you guys can manage to open your business on time consistently. Totally ridiculous to be honest.

Can you please update your voice-mail when you close for the day, states you are open and fully staffed, drive all the way there for it to be closed!! I changed gym and came back because I love it here.. But driving there to find out it closed, its disappointing especially knowing just getting there is the hardest part for some and then the door is Locked 🤨

The club is clean. I just joined this month and have already been charged my monthly fee (again) after being told my bill was frozen for the next month due to the power outage. However the club’s equipment is clean and in working order, there’s enough cardio equipment, and the employees are nice.

This gym closes so early now because of ac issues. This does not work at all with my schedule so I’ve been having to go to other locations. Seriously thinking about changing my membership to another gym that’s more flexible.

So far so good after 2 weeks. Clean, airy and open. Most people still wearing masks. Only saw 1 scrub not cleaning the machine after she used it. Was in last Sunday and the staff was cleaning machines. Nice! Keep up the good work.

First time using this location since covid and since moving to the area. Nancy was great and answered all of my questions that I had. She explained protocols, and was super friendly and sweet. I feel comfortable making this my new home location.

Spent my morning preparing to hit the gym with my Fiancé and when we got there at 9:30am THE GYM HADNT BEEN OPENED YET.No sign on the door no nothing pretty certain nobody showed up to open the gym. Gym opens at 5am on Sunday we got there at 9:30 talk about ridiculous.

Love this gym! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They do a good job keeping all the equipment clean and sanitized.

Why do you have cnn on 5 tvs and no fox News? Some of us dont like hearing the left wing fake news. And the location is hardly ever open all kinds of problems with the ac.

I love this place. Since the mask mandate was repealed they dont care if people wear masks. I counted 21 not wearing a mask. 1 was having a coughing fit 15 feet from me on a machine so I left. I wish they still required masks like other places. I learned first hand you cant count on the members to be smart about it.

Planet Fitness rocks!! I have been a member for several years, and I dont have a single complaint. My dues have NEVER gone up, they have never over charged me, the staff are always upbeat and friendly. I absolutely recommend this gym to everyone, .of all ages (except kids of course)..

If I could give 0 stars I would. You guys just need to close down until your AC is fixed! You guys keep sending us home when it gets too hot! Like just close so we dont waste our time to go there and just get told that you guys are closing at 5 tf? Pls close for now and DONT open until you guys fix that AC. You guys are just wasting other peoples time

Very neat and exciting, 1st time Ive been to a place like this since the beginning of the pandemic.The staff here are polite and professional and very helpful.The best part is I didnt have to buy a membership I came in as a guest now I want a membership.

Ive been going to this gym for over a year because its the closest to my home but its time to find a better place,its hot in there and ac was down for a long time,water is finally back on but hot!!!! also workers sit around on their phones instead of cleaning,,I think its dirty in there 😔 time to find a better place,

Ive enjoyed Planet Fitness for years and have been consistently pleased with the level of service, cleanliness, and facility in six different locations. My current location, central Mesa, has had the added challenge of maintaining a safe environment through this pandemic, including rebooting twice due to mandated shutdowns. Even with the extra burden that this imposed on staff schedules, they have always had personable, professional people on the floor to keep the place clean and assist clients. Since October, Brandy, the new manager, has been exceptionally proactive in all of these issues and makes us feel valued and respected, showing a personal interest in our experience while maintaining the quality of staff and current additional health protocols. In addition to PFs transparent membership policy and no-pressure attitude, this level of service has kept me a loyal member. Thanks, Brandy, and to the PF Mesa crew.

Kind of upset about the random change in hours, which are not accommodating to the 8-5 working crowd. The location and staff are nice, however I’m going to have to switch to another site as this does not work for me.

My reason for only 3 stars is, I joined when u first opened club and it was 24 hours, that is why I joined, I get and understand the whole covid, but I feel its time to move forward and go back to 24 hours, and this whole a/c issue this should never of happen, if u service your A/C every year, your A/C company should of known after this many years, your ready for a new one,not wait til it goes out, now inconvenience once again, and unacceptable

It’s the little things that most gyms miss, but this got them all and then some.As previous posts stated, Staff is indeed very friendly and they have and will stopped what they are doing to help the customer.I didn’t need help even as a newbie. They have clear instructions on each machine on how to get the most out of your exercise. And a QR Code to watch a video if those didn’t help you.Their app shows you which gyms are packed and which ones have little activity. I’m shy so that’s a huge help.The environment itself however is shame free. Signage obliterates judgement. And the staff is not intimidating. They simply let you work and encourage you if you want them to.Each machine has a drink holder and a place for your smart phone if you want to listen or watch something. Or if you didn’t bring your phone, you can plug into the smart auxiliary, also on every machine.Free WiFi at the location I go to.They even allow guests to trial Black Card relaxation equipment.It even the perfect temperature and it feels like natural open air! No stink!

Dont use this gym or this company in general. They will rob you. I paid my annual plus last month which I fell behind in full past Saturday. On Monday they billed again. I called ABC they told theyy cant do anything and said i have to goto a location. Next i stopped in at this location and talked to Angel the shift leader who was busy cross talking with another guy before I came. Who also tried to state i didnt pay February and march. Calling me a liar basically. After i showed banl statements. She said cant do nothing til manager gets there and that it will take another 10 days to get refund. I cancelled my membership and hope all of you do as well horrible service and Mickey mouse business ethics.

I go in and workout, and I love it. I dont use tanning beds, or the massage stuff, but I come in and work on me. There is no judgment, and its just awesome. Ive been going here for a very long time, and its like a home away from home!

He also helped another member change her flat tire one night...wow!Mostly machines, no heavy free weights. Tanning booths always seem to have strong bulbsOne strange thing is that in mens locker room shower stalls are directly (like 4 feet) across from toilets???

I was shopping around for a gym and decided to try their free day pass as advertised on their website (with the mindset of wanting to purchase the membership after trying them out). I get there at 5:15 AM to the front desk attendant saying they weren’t accepting day passes due to occupancy issues. I look around at the 3-5 other people there, thank him, drive down the street to EoS to a packed gym. EoS let’s me try them out for a week. Purchased a membership to EoS that day.

Im giving you 5 stars because I love Panet Fitness!But, go back to normal 24 hour schedule. Closing early is not protecting any more or less people. Some people work different schedule and late night works best for them. A very few some people. When I used to go at 10 or 11 pm or even midnight it was dead slow almost every time. Preventing reaching max capacity is what has been helping covid and social distancing. So why are the hours shortened when so few people show up late at night?The 24 hour schedule is the reason Planet Fitness is the best. Also, I know there are laws you have to follow with hours of operation even if you may agree with me. Alright no more ranting, love you all 😃

Honestly, every gives pf a lot of guff because of the lunk alarm stuff and the free pizza and candy, which are all terrible ideas for a gym, but they are cheap and easy to get to, and even with covid, they have plenty of machines, free weights, and friendly staff. If you are self-motivated this is a great starter gym.

Moved away and they will NOT cancel my membership over the phone. Write a letter or in person cancellations only..... It seemed like a great place until you try to cancel and they’re just as crooked as every other gym.

I cancelled my membership over the phone due to COVID and had no issues a few months ago. My wife just tried to cancel over the phone as she was told she has to come in person or mail in a request. REALLY you just lost 2 return customers for life get it together and adapt like everyone else. And dont even try to reply back how you outline cancel policies in your membership agreement as I doubt they would hold up in court considering the pandemic.

Gym perfectly fits all my needs . The manager and staff are friendly and courteous. The gym is clean and being disinfected constantly . Plenty of parking !

This location is easily one of the best Planet Fitness locations in the Mesa area. The facility has a great vibe! You can always get a good workout and the environment is quiet and functional.... they have a broad range of equipment and all of it is in good working condition! The showers and the locker room is always clean and you always see an employee doing their job as far as cleaning and making sure that everything is in order! The staff is extremely courteous and helpful... I personally transfer to this location because of the positive attitude of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility.. I have been greeted extremely well each day I walk into the facility to work out by 2 very nice young employees that I see on a daily basis as I work out.. Lexi and Alexis,they both have a very positive and upbeat attitude about their jobs... they are considerate and have great information about their product... They both have a no hassle attitude about using the equipment and providing extra minutes on the massage equipment... As a older member in my fifties the small things... Make being a member of Planet Fitness enjoyable when you can actually receive the quality service that they say you will get when they sit you down and write up a membership contract ...

Very convent and only $10 a month for any time use during business hours at the local site only.

I feel like I can challenge myself at whatever pace I choose at this gym. Love the total body enhancement, massage tables, tanning and every piece of work out equipment you could ask for . Rowing, ropes, TRX, weights, stair climber. These are just a few of my favorite things... :) Great job PF!!!

They have everything I need in one stop. I use a lot of their equipment as well as the amenities. Not too busy where I cant workout.

Been coming here for a year now. This place is always super clean and all the equipment is updated. The only issue I don’t agree with is they don’t have a scale! I understand the judgement aspect of it however it’s simply a tool to track your progress. No one is forcing anyone to get on and announce their weight. We’re all there to get healthy and part of that is to know where you are weight wise. Ownership, please consider installing a scale!!

I love working here since I started hitting the gym a few months back. The newer equipment is great with clear instructions if you are new. An the staff is by far the reason I continue to go here. Especially Dominic and Rosemary always great to talk to and on top of everything. I will be sad to see them go one day as I know they will move on to bigger and better things. An that day Planet Fitess will be lesser for it.

This is one of the smaller gyms which makes social distancing & cleanliness even more important.I observed 2 members going from machine to machine & 1 of them also stretching out & touching other machines. Neither member cleaned the machines before nor after.Unfortunately, I made the mistake of addressing that individual only to get cussed out & screamed at & let me tell you how disrespectful this boy was because he was no man.A PF rep came over because it got so loud, however they were so passive with the guy. The government did not open everything up for you to allow you this to go on in your establishment.Bottom line, these are very scary times. You as staff & the members should all be in this together!This gym is shameful. I will continue to go to the new one which is spotless & I will NEVER return here again!

I love how spacious and open this location is. I’ve only had to wait like 10 min for a machine one time, otherwise there’s usually one available. The staff is always friendly & the gym clean in general. The couple issues I did have, they took care of quickly and more than made up for. Love this place!

I love that the club is 1/2 mile from my house. The staff acts like they think of me as family or at least a friend. It is impeccably clean and the members are diligent about cleaning behind themselves. There is pride in the gym and that says a lot.I am impressed with the superb quality and condition of the equipment. It is maintained to the point of being like new. I haven’t seen anything that looks old, abused or under maintained. The innovation and variety of the equipment is all I will ever need.I have bad knees and I am 3 years recovering from a severe posterior shoulder dislocation. I look like I should be lifting 100-200 lbs. Yet as I struggle with benching 20 - 30 there is no judgment. I love that people aren’t even watching. This is the least intimidating gym I’ve ever used and it’s just what I need right now. I will be a long time member, as this will always serve my needs.Thanks for what you do.Roger

Great staff and awesome amenities! The machines are all in great condition and are pretty technologically advanced. The different weight machines time you and count your reps for you. I am definitely enjoying my membership.

This is the planet fitness that I was going to when I lived with my son in Arizona. This is one of the larger facilities. They have pretty much all the machines that you would possibly need. They have a basic membership and an upgraded membership called the black card. Upgraded membership you can bring a friend. Also with that membership you can use the angel machine, the massagers, And the tanning beds. The staff is very friendly, The facilities and the machines are all cleaned often. And the personal trainers are available all the time.

Great place! I love it! I just keep working out and making small gains but I can see and feel that I have changed. My friends and family have noticed too. This makes me push even harder to get to the next level. I can actually resist the pizza now.

Visited this location which is not my home location. I was impressed with the size and amenities. They have A TON of machines. Also multiple tanning beds, massage chairs and hydro massage beds. The price is just awesome! My wife and I pay less for both of our memberships together than I was paying for just myself previously at a competing gym AND each of us can bring in an additional person anytime we go! The staff is always nice. Personal training is free. I havent had the chance to go to any of their classes yet but it seems they offer a good selection. If the other gyms dont change their prices and policies soon PF is going to take over the workout market. I love Planet Fitness!

Planet Fitness is a friendly, welcoming gym for all ages and gym experience. Dawn Castillo, the trainer, designs programs and classes that are motivating and an excellent workout. I have referred friends, who were pleased with the personally designed workout programs and classes.

Is a very clean gym. The trainer I had experience with was very concerned about what I wanted to train for and building up both stamina and strength.

By fair on of the nicest PF I have visited. Friendly staff and lots of clean open equipment to use.

They have everything you need in a gym. My favorite thing about Planet Fitness is no matter your age or ability to work out or train you feel comfortable there. No judgement and the feeling of competition to look a certain way. I go for my health not to be a fitness model. Staff is Friendly also and always cleaning.. Equipment is in good shape also.

I love going here. It is a very great gym where there is no judgment.I enjoy the people that I have run into. No ones like Im better than you because I can do so much they just make sure that you know you feel secure about your surroundings.

I like the general cleanliness of this PF. The atmosphere is calmer than other PF’s I’ve visited which is important to me. Its never hard to find an employee if you have a question and I’ve never encountered a rude employee or customer. Just a straight forward workout without any unnecessary drama or tension.

I usually have a good experience at this location, clean facility and nice staff. However, when I decided to cancel my membership, the team member helping me, MATT SAPP made remarks that were not necessary. He said he likes to mention how many days members haven’t been to the gym, so he stated my number out loud and smiled at me like I was welcoming this type of behavior. I thought it was a NO JUDGEMENT zone? Overall, this gym is great, just needs to retrain MATT SAPP on how to be a professional customer service representative instead of being a douche about it.

Started with them about a week ago, and by far the best customer service! There zero judgement, which definitely makes it feel more comfortable! All the equipment is great and people clean up after themselves. Ive keep myself very motivated to go consistently to the gym, and this location has a lot to do with it !!!

I have been a member for a couple years and dont have complaints about equipment or staff. My bad experience is from two members that just have the inability to mind their own business. I have a service dog and these two people (different times) felt it necessary as I walked by to harshly express their opinion of service dogs on me. My first thought is usually geesh they could use an emotional support dog. But there is usually 1hater in a hundred. Yes, there are many fakes out there making it difficult for everyone. But you can choose to ignore it and go on with your day. However, if you are the hater, look around most people are really astonished and appreciative of a service dog. And the owners, well, I have never met one that wouldnt stop to answer questions for you. I would just like to thank those that quietly go on with there day or stop and say hi. And a big thank you to the staff at planet fitness for their foresight and understanding. UPDATE: reopened and I was so happy to be back. They have done a great job with rules, distancing, cleanliness etc. Every now and then someone thinks they dont need to follow the rules, but the staff and public are on that very fast as well.
