I believe the “manager” maybe impacting the quality and duration of the staff. I’ve been going to this location for a year and have had 4 different people, all of whom left abruptly. If you like having the same person to ensure the same experience for get it at this location. I just bought 2 packages thinking that the staff person would be there to administer my services, but no today was a different person. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he wasn’t in for the rest of the day, but called me 5 minutes after I left. He left an unprofessional voicemail saying “I guess you wanted to talk to me but I’m not in until tomorrow “. Sounded like my college kid who didn’t want to hear from a professor about not doing work. The people I had except for today were great! Personable, and skilled. My question to all of you reading this is… why is this location burning through so many people. Until today I thought the unpleasant guy that I spoke with here and there throughout the year was a part time student who didn’t care about the job nor the experience he was delivering … rude, unprofessional and who cares attitude…no big deal. But now I know he’s the “manager”. Wow! I found out my packages are transferable to any location. Although I live 5 minutes away from the Polaris location I will take my chance at another, praying to have a better track record there. Also looking to inform whoever owns this location of the poor management and experience offered at Polaris!

I have been a returning customer to Waxxpot polaris since 2 years because of thier friendly and professional staff and quality of services. (Subtracting a few bad experiences). However the last week, i had to get the brazillian service done, (the only available time for me that week), so I called and she put me down for 1 o’clock. I was there in the parking lot at 1pm sharp, however since it was raining hard, i took a few minutes till the rain slowed down, told them over the phone, i entered the waxxpot at 1:05 and the front desk customer service representative told me I was late and that they wont be able to take me because i was late. I told her that I already mentioned in the phone that I was in the parking lot, and i will be in shortly, she still insisted that she couldn’t take me in and that I should come in at a later time. If this is what you do to your returning customers for being only 5 minutes late due to a legit reason, I may be making a wrong choice of being the loyal returning customer.Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed!
The experience Ive had at this Waxxpot location has been fantastic! Hannah, my wax specialist, ensures that I feel comfortable at every appointment! She is welcoming & upbeat, and she answers all of my questions I have about the services. The staff is always friendly as well! I would definitely recommend Hannah to anyone I know who is looking for waxing services!
Waste of money & time.Had to go for re-waxing immediately -there were couple of patches not been waxed. I felt the entire staff inexperienced - as rather asking for the feedback at the end they were asking for the next appointment. Cant trust that your waxing is completely done. Very UNSATISFIED (Service Taken- full arm/legs/underarms/stomach)
I got my eyebrows and a Brazilian yesterday, the lady I worked with was super nice! My brows look great however... I had an awful reaction to whatever they used after the Brazilian wax and when I got home I looked closer and along with the reaction there were chunks of my skin gone... and with that there was still a lot of hair and I could’ve done a better job by myself at home... overall the experience was fine but I will never be going back! I’m never getting a Brazilian again either this time ruined them for me.
I was WOW’ed by Waxxpot Polaris! Ambrosia was a wonderful esthetician with so much knowledge. Lindsay the receptionist was awesome too. Prices are lower than normal salons I am familiar with! This was the fastest wax I’ve ever had and perfectly done. They speed wax and with no flaws, a huge timesaver from the previous experiences I’ve had. Already rebooked and getting my brows tinted next time too!

First waxer was great knew what she was doing. 2nd time there got another female and I could completely tell she wasnt comfortable and didnt know exactly what she was doing with being waxed so many times before. Not to mention I Definitely didnt get my moneys worth the 2nd wax because it wasnt done properly and was patchy
I visited Waxxpot for the 1st time and the experience was amazing! Typically, my eyelid and brow areas are red and puffy; painful to the touch for 24 - 72 hours after the service. But at Waxxpot my experience was the opposite and more! The brow waxing was not painful at all. From management to the technicians, everyone is nice, professional, and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable. And the availability hours are very convenient Monday - Sunday (yes... they are opened from Monday to Sunday). I will be an indefinite satisfied customer at Waxxpot (especially the Polaris Columbus, OH location)!!!Thanks you.
I have never had a Brazilian wax before and was incredibly nervous. I scheduled the appointment for 4:15. As I was walking out the door at 4:00 I got a call from Lexi asking me if I was coming. I said that I was walking out the door. She proceeded to tell me that my appointment was scheduled for 4:00. I told her that it was actually scheduled for 4:15 and that I was in my car getting ready to leave right then. She informed me that I would have to move my appointment because there was someone else who was scheduled at 4:15... Even though this was the establishments fault my appointment was being moved. I decided to cancel my appointment for a combination of reasons. 1) I work in customer service and have for years. I have never treated a client or patient this way that due to our mistake the client had to be moved. 2) I had already read negative reviews and decided to give them a chance anyway even though (and especially since) there were a lot of reviews about the front desk person specifically. 3) I was already nervous and this just rubbed me the wrong way. Pictured is the time of their call along with the time of the appointment in the confirmation e-mail AND the confirmation text. I will not be scheduling another appointment here. I was really looking forward to this so this is quite a disappointment. Also Lexi was very rude and acted like there was something wrong with me that I wasnt there, and didnt offer another person to do it at the same time even though being new I would have been fine with that. It was just very non-accommodating.
All in all good and the services were performed well. The staff has always been very nice. The only reason it didnt get 5 is because I feel like they usually try to upsell me and get additional procedures.
Such a friendly environment and I have never had someone give me brows like Lyssa does!!! Im so glad I found her! My brows are so even and perfect and beautiful!!! Ill never let anyone touch them but her!
I was recommended to go here by a friend and was incredibly impressed with my services!The facility is very clean and everyone who works there is very friendly.Lyssa is the girl I usually see there for my eyebrows- she does my brows perfectly and really listens to make sure its exactly what I want. She also does other services for me there and I have been incredibly happy with everything. The pricing is also incredibly reasonable.If you go here make sure you see lysssa! Shes the best.
As I walked in, I was not greeted by a friendly front desk girl. They seemed annoyed but since I was there and waiting for my appointment, I asked her about some of the other services. She did not know anything about the services, and she rudely commented that the waxer won’t have time anyways today (which I did not inquire, this was just for possibly later down the road, since I was new to waxing). I eventually got back to a room and the waxer did not consult with me on my brow shape and was not wearing gloves! She just started waxing and I was too afraid to say anything because she already started. When she was done, she showed me the finished product and I am not kidding, I looked like I got more than 3/4 of my brow taken off. They looked so bad. I luckily didn’t have to pay anything since it was a free service, but I will never ever go there again! I’m so embarrassed and I have never felt uglier. I don’t think the girls that are mentioned below work there anymore, main reason I felt comfortable enough to go in. Omg worst decision ever!
Had an AMAZING and quick service with Jasmine. She was full of personality and there was a very small amount of pain. I’m not going to lie I was a straight werewolf down there. So the fact that there wasn’t a lot of pain speaks to Jasmine’s skills. Definitely will be going back! All of the negative reviews don’t listen just go for yourself and ask for Jasmine, she’s great!
First experience at Waxxpot. I am very pleased with the customer service, cleanliness and how fast it was for my brow wax. Lani was very professional. My brows were not as clean as I prefer but I will be back for other areas! So happy I came across this place.
A few weeks ago I went to do my eyebrows done, I didn’t realize and they made an appointment for me. They called me today saying that I missed my appointment (30 minutes after the time of the appointment) and that I will have to pay the 50% of that appointment that I missed. NEVER going to that place again because first of all I didn’t know that I had an appointment or neither they called me to ask me if I was able to go, and secondly nobody told me about this “24 hour cancellation fee”
Went for the first time last week. Ashley did a great job and was very professional. The prices are competitive and the location is easy to get to. I will be returning again!
I’ve been to Waxxpot before to get my brows done and had a good experience however this time I schedule a Brazilian. The procedure was more painful than any place Id gone before and even left my skin red a week later. Not only this but when I got home and looked closer they had missed so many patches and I was completely prickly after she’d assured me that my hair was long enough to get waxed (after growing it for 4 weeks.) I feel like she completely rushed the process and gave me no direction on after care besides “don’t get sweaty”. I’m very upset I spent so much money on such a bad outcome.

It was incredibly painful including removing a layer of skin that I am still irritated and red a week later. Also I had to go home and shave because there were so many spots missed. I scheduled another appointment because I planned to get a wax every month but now I will have to find some where else. Just hoped for a better experience given the price and the personal referrals!
Ashley took care of me last week for a Brazilian and she was AMAZING! I’m so thankful for the waxxpot team. It was a training and I felt like I still got the same phenomenal service waxxpot always delivers.That & your packages are good at any location. I had my first experience with waxxpot at Polaris and I was disappointed. I was referred by a friend who I went with. It was incredibly painful and has been sore for much longer than should be. Also I had to go home and shave because there were so many spots missed. I scheduled another appointment because I planned to get a wax every month, but I don’t plan to get another ever again.
I’m upset with how I was charged. My total was $69 for a Brazilian and a lotion, however my card was charged $123. When I went back she told me that because I used a debit card there was a preauthorization hold and that it’ll fall off in 3-5 business days. If she knew that was the case she should have notified me before charging my card for that amount.
First & last time going. Worst wax I have ever gotten. & the girl at the checkout charged my card incorrectly by doubling the tip amount I asked her to leave.
