After a month of being lead around on what was wrong with my car by other mechanics, these guys quickly found the issue and got me set up for it to be fixed. It was a very long backlog wait to get my repairs done but thats hardly the fault of the shop and more of the current times we are in. I appreciate the hard work these guys did!

I would recomend Razorback Transmission if youre having problems. Very courteous people. My truck runs, and shifts like a new truck, and the work was finished ahead of schedule.

Being someone who knows how to work on his own vehicles I did all I could to my Honda Element before having to take it for a professional inspection. I took my element to get a diagnostic on my transmission as it was having some issues and they did an amazing job by telling me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and now I know how to move forward with it. They are very nice and professional folks and know what they are doing. I would definitely recommend!

Spectacular service

I had a great experience at Razorback Transmission! Staff was super friendly, took my issues seriously and kept me informed on the progress. They also returned my vehicle in a timely manner and even took it to the shop next door (Razorback Tire and Auto) for me to solve an idling issue. Got a trans fluid and filter change for about $280, which is considerably pricey, but seemed worth it for the quality service I received - especially when this area of the state is so lacking in quality automotive care.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Hearing “transmission problems” from my mechanic was a terrifying experience, but Razorback Transmission was open and honest with me from the start. Guiding me through the process, no up-selling and a thorough explanation of what is wrong/my options are invaluable aspects of customer service with me - especially when it comes to my car. This wonderful place did that in spades! I hope to never have this kind of problem again, but I would return here in a heartbeat if needed.

I went to Razorback Transmission shop on Tuesday September 26, 2017. Met a wonderful guy named Tony.He checked my daughter’s vehicle to see if she had a transmission problem. Rebuilt my transmission for a 98 Silverado K1500. They were very professional and honest. They quoted 1800-2600, ended up doing the rebuild for 2500. Its an older truck, but it shifts very softly and smooth now as opposed to third/fourth gear slipping or unavailable. I would recommend them for transmission services.

There is a reason Jacob is no longer here. we have done quality work for over 50 years now. customer satisfaction is top priory. always has been and will continue . the other fellow wanting a price over the phone for a change over like that is impossible not knowing what you are going to run into. apparently he could not get a price and did the proper thing and took it it to be repaired. for the price it was more than a 15 minute bleed job it seems.

Honorable owner that will do the right thing by you

They rebuilt a transmission in a 2010 Ford Escape on Nov 21, 2018 and less than 1000 miles later doing exact same thing. Im not the original owner and I know warranty is non-transferable but you would think a reputable shop would be willingly to at least look at thier work within the first 1000 miles. Tony said hed be glad to look but wuld have to charge me, he couldnt fix the 1st time not going to let them try again and ve charged for it.

I took my Acura here after another automotive place had tried a few things but ultimately told me it was my transmission and I would have to go elsewhere. My car was coming up with an error code that dealt with the solenoid and it didnt seem to want to go past 2nd (automatic). Razorback Transmission informed me the wire to a solenoid was broken. They fixed it and recommended a transmission fluid change. The last time I had it changed was when I was still taking it to the dealership (dealership was pricey and it was several years ago). My grand total was just under 300 and my car of 10+ years drives great for having 190+miles!

This was a false rating to drum up business. I only did it because everett Bolin my boss had kept asking me but now Im no longer there! Do your research people a lot better out there for your money!

Very pleased with the service we received.

I was having trouble with 2nd gear in my 2004 jeep rubicon. Initially we thought it was the syncros and wouldnt be too bad. Upon further diagnoses the whole transmission and clutch needed to be replaced. The price was great for the work that needed to be done they had my jeep back on the road in three days. I got an outstanding warranty on my new transmission and she shifts like butter. I had no idea how bad she was until it was replaced. Everett kept me informed the whole time and anytime I called with a question, he had the answer ready. Their professionalism and friendliness were a breath of fresh air and I will recommend anyone to them. If you want great, dependable, local service for your transmission, you found it!

Great experience with this group when I had to have my transmission changed out.

Terrible place I called them to ask how much they would charge to bleed some clutch lines they refused because they didnt install the clutch which doesnt have anything to do with the lines its a separate system which consists of the clutch master cyl,clutch slave cyl,clutch dampener and the lines themselves, and then offered to do so if they installed a new clutch which was completely unprofessional and not needed my issue was I installed a new clutch master cyl on a car i swapped to 5 speed from automatic all of these parts were new and the engine and transmission them selves where professionally built its simply a pita to bleed by yourself the person i sppke too was rude from the beginning to the end. i ended up having discount tire and auto bleed the lines for less then 100 bucks
