Nice clean gym to get a quick workout in and its in the mall so you can go shopping for some new clothes once you get your gym body

Usually pretty crowded but its very clean and you almost never have to wait to use a machine. They dont really enforce the dress code and theres some intimidating characters in the weight lifting area. Personally I think they are funny but I know a lot of people get uncomfy around lunks. Painesville location has less lunky individuals.

Planet fitness is awesome the people are really nice there and it is really clean I enjoy coming and working out 3 days a week

I have the basic membership with a Planet Fitness club in New York. I was visiting family in the area and called this club to confirm the cost of working out as a guest for one visit. I spoke with a very kind gentleman who informed me the cost was $20.00 a day! When visiting other clubs in the past, I was charged $5.00 per visit. He did not know why the cost was so high but listened when I expressed my disappointment that this club was charging this price. Seemed they really are not interested in assisting individuals continue with their fitness if they are not members of their club. I called another Planet Fitness in the area and they charged me $5.00 for a visit.

They keep it clean and functional!! Not the biggest PF out there but pretty nice! Can get crowded in the evenings tho but not much to be done about that

Ill give a 3 star, but the picture of the employee wiping down equipment makes me want to put a 2 star since even before covid they werent wiping anything down, I cleaned my own equipment before and after use but saw hundreds of people not cleaning after themselves which is despicable and I would hope that the employees are watching and cleaning up the equipment after people use it.

So far it does feel non judgemental and they keep it very clean.

We have been coming to PF in Mentor quite awhile before COVID. After this location opened back up and management changed things went down hill. The reviews from a year ago etc. are referring to all of the precious AWESOME staff members that have quit. Most of the “new” staff is unfriendly and unorganized.

Went in at 630am and it was nicely spaced out and a very friendly environment. No waiting for any equipment.

Its planet fitness what do you expect

Very clean and not totally packed most of the time. Limited free weights.

Minimal crowd at time I visited, was able to work out legs and back in little over an hour. Unfortunately some people take dumbbells and/or a barbell to a machine and monopolize that station for a half hour or longer.

This is a joke!!! You need a checking account to have a membership.once you are singed in they take your money for a year. You quit and they take a whole year from you but also goes from $10 to $50 or more a month.

Its my favorite gym, good people working there, clean equipment, I just wish it wasnt as crowded during the day

Pay all this money and eventhough they have a staff they make you wait for help or tanning beds, massage chairs and they are rude here.

Decent when its openToday was the third time since they reopened that Ive shown up at 5 a.m to work out and there is nobody there to open the gym. Members sitting in their cars out in the parking lot wondering what the heck is going on.Completely wasted morning.Once more and Im transferring to the Painesville locationEDIT: Once again this morning, Sunday morning, nobody from Planet Fitness there to open the gym at 7 a.m.Sat in the parking lot for 25 minutes waiting.Got tired of waiting so I drove the the Painesville location and worked out and switched my membership to that location.Nicer facility all around. Newer equipment(that actually works) and more of it.Goodbye, Mentor Planet Fitness, hello Painesville.

The facility is in great shape, routine maintenance and cleaning is performed to keep it that way! This location continues to invest in new equipment and they have a fantastic staff. Couldnt be happier with my gym!

Editing my post, after seeing on the news that PF would begin requiring masks, I returned. However, shortly after arriving, I noticed that about 50% of the people were not wearing masks. I only saw one employee at the desk and inquired as to whether masks were mandatory. She replied that they were only mandatory in between machines, just like it was previously, and that the mandatory mask requirement “really wasn’t any different” from before. I understand that businesses are able to determine what works best for them, but extremely disappointed in advertising that masks were required when they really aren’t. Our memberships are now frozen, considering cancellation depending on how the next couple months go.First time back and didnt notice anything different other than plexiglass around desk. Hard to find hand sanitizer and didnt look like any additional cleaning supplies. I was the only one, other than the one employee I saw, wearing a mask. Only stayed about 10 minutes before someone was right next to me and I opted to leave. Not sure Ill be back or continue with my membership.

Love this club! Cleaning crew is the best ! Ive been to other PF clubs that are no where near as clean. They really listen to reasonable concerns which is greatly appreciated. This was my original postDo NOT know what has happened in the last few months but the energy and dynamics have changed drastically(2am-5am). Something changed but I have no clue what.

First time here as a member and felt very comfortable. I had several questions allOf which were answered thoroughly. The facility was clean. I look forward to getting back in shape.

I really like that it is closer to home than the other location. Very clean and a lot of machines. The staff is nice. I would like to see a sauna in planet fitness as that is one motivating factor for considering other gyms. I would pay more if I could go to the gym, use a sauna, and tan or get a massage all in one place. I enjoy the gym and conveniences that it offers but a sauna would be a great addition and attractive to others that may not join because of that.

I guess you get what you pay for. Cheapest place around, but its geared to the PC police. Its not a place to get in shape, its a place to feel good about owning a gym membership. I havent lost any weight, but Ive got some good likes on Insta

Most of my experience has been good. But nobody can seem to figure out why my card wont allow me to sign up for black card amenities which I pay for. I showed up at 11 am today (Saturday) and you decided to put all treadmills out of commission to clean

The staff are top notch.The space just doesn’t quite feel like it’s enough and everything seems really close together, but this is a minor issue.This place has helped me really take charge of my own health.

Rowing, running, lifting, you name it they have it. Best place to grow physically and mentally. Drinks and food are there too so if you need a re-up you wont be let down. The membership is cheap and best of all you can bring your friends too with the black card.

My 1st day was great Staff was very friendly place was very clean and they have lots of equipment for any workout you wanna do. Highly recommend going there

Mitchel has made my first time visit at this location legendary and informative. His customer service skills are impeccable and I really believe that he needs recognition for his communication skills and warm welcoming. Give that man a raise lol we need more like him

Staff is always super friendly, gym is incredibly clean and doesnt smell like a gym. Perhaps my favorite thing is that it truly is judgment-free; people pretty much keep to themselves, but if you engage with others theyre always kind. I never thought Id be committed to a gym but I always love visiting!

This location is clean and the staff were friendly, it’s kind of small, but they have enough room for everyone to get their workout in with no problems and it is close to the mall if you want to reward yourself for going to workout.

My husband has a membership here and really enjoys it. He has the black card membership. We like that it is open all hours and the black card had other benefits as well. Such as the showers, tanning beds and massage chairs.

I came to Planet Fitness because my regular gym didnt have power. Arial was so sweet. She showed me around and how to use a couple machines. The place was so clean and tidy. Everything was easily found. It was an enjoyable experience. Thanks, Arial.

Fine until the worker ran to kick us off a machine for “maintenance” then went back to the front desk and was on her phone...30 mins later she never went back to the machines so we left.

Employees are nice and knowledgeable, facility is clean, tanning (level 2 & 3s + stand up), message chairs and more. Everything is always clean and functional, memberships are very affordable.

Austin Reese is an awesome member of the planet fitness team, greeted me when i arrived with such a smile on his face! Made entering, and leaving a joy! We need more people with Austins enthusiasm working there!

Bad experience. Went prior to Covid 19 pandemic. Way overcrowded, people just sitting around on machines. Most of the machines were either in use or broken. Staff members are annoying, I was constantly being reminded to not slam weights down or be too loud, even though I barley used any of the weights and ran treadmill. Some workout stations also looked as if they were not properly sanitized. Will never return. Go to Titans instead.

Although I like PF, the cost is reasonable and amenities are good, I hadn’t gone in a while and it seems you’re ready to take my money but not reach out or be involved in working toward my goals.

One day pass is $20 but you can sometimes get a promo freebie from corporate web site. Invite from a friend is $5Policy should be reviewed carefully be fore joining. It might be to rigid for some.

Clean and quiet, Where is FOX NEWS? Need the small lockers changed to larger ones.!!!!! no where to hang dress cloths.

Pricing is great and it is close to home but WOW is it always busy.... Good luck trying to do anything between 5pm and 730pm

Great price. Always perfectly clean, very pleasant atmosphere. Great machines - I feel like Im really making progress on my muscles and overall health! Its invigorating to go there; I always feel better for having gone.

Great selection of machines and equipment. But I dont know what the staff actually does here. I usually just see them on their cell phones or goofing off with each other, no work being done. I truly hope they make minimum wage, because they dont deserve more then that

Woman helping us at the counter was very friendly. Place always seems clean and truly judgement free. If thats what youre looking for in a gym, I would recommend planet fitness. I only wish the music was a little louder but I normally bring headphones and listen to my own anyway.

James the trainer is owning the new TRX classes which takes fitness to a new level to tone and sculpt. It is helpful to have TRX diagrams to refer to on your own time.

Visited the Painesville location today. Staff was great! Love the layout.

We are blessed with James as trainer. Always on time, corrects our stance, arms, legs, whatever to ensure we will not hurt ourselves and get the most out of the session. This means alot to me being 65 and somewhat overweight. He asked me what I, yes, I wanted to acheive. He is engaged with his clients.Mentor, OH.

Clean, yeah but they dont have a punching bag, which is lame.. I feel like too many people work there but at least that creates jobs I guess.. It be nice too if you could slam stuff, glad I got free weights at home

Owners and management do not care about its patrons. Several health concerns at this location including machines the dont work properly. Stay away.

Affordable, close to home. Great value for the mobey, wish it was a bit bigger so they had more room for tread mills as they are the popular item with the new year resolution people. Got tired of going to the gym and not being able to get on a treadmill in a timely manner but would still rate it 5 stars. Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating with smiles on. Always see them wiping down equipment, vacuuming or sweeping floors. Would recommend to others

I am so glad we have Planet Fitness gyms. I love them! I really appreciate the excellent exercise machines and the 30 min cardio/weight training section they have! I cant wait until the one in Painesville opens!

I arrived at planet fitness at about 5am, I went into the locker room to change, and when I walked out there was a manager by the name of Alex, who called me out by name in front of everyone and asked me to go to the front because there was a discrepancy with my account. After explaining to me that I had two accounts, and one of them was behind $27.00, I immediately apologized and offered to pay the balance I had on an old account, (keep in Mind this was my third time there this week) we soon realized that THEIR credit card system was temporarily down and they were unable to process my payment. I calmly asked if they could handle it later with. The manager, and requested to continue working out, The manager Alex, refused to allow me to work out, and actually requested that I left! I was so hurt and confused.i am an African American woman, and there is NO DOUBT in my mind that Alexs’ response was based solely off the color of my skin. Planet fitness mentor has let me down, and planet fitness as a whole has lost not just myself as a customer, but a few of my friends and family as well. I proceeded on to a different gym, and after explaining the situation to the manager that was on site at the willowick location, he not only was compassionate, understanding and patient he also let me work out and even helped to get my Payment and erased some late fees. All in all, that will be my last time at planet fitness. And I hope that the mentor location can receive some cultural sensitivity classes . Thank you for reading and be blessed ❤️
