This place may be small but inside is tactfully packed full of machines varying in sizes to meet anyones needs. The prices are fairly decent especially for the largest washer which easily fit a full hamper worth of clothes or comforters. The huge dryers they offer cost less and dries laundry faster than any other laundry mat I have used in the past. I would and am 100% referring friends and family to this facility. Thank you for providing services at reasonable prices

1st time here an I thought it may be too crowded but it wasnt. Very roomie an dryers work good. BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS!! 1 soda in machine was $2.25...!!

Both times that I have been to Big Y, the staff was very kind. They helped me with the big machines that Ive never used, and did it with a smile on their faces. Im sure this is not the best job, being in laundry services, but they sure have the best people.

Really like this place. Has quite a few machines and is usually pretty clean and well maintained. Only downfall is how busy it can get and some of the people that use the place (mainly all the tweekers)!!

Convienent, affordable, clean, busy, big big big washer $8.50, big big washer $5.00, big washer $3.00.The only thing i could say was annoying was there wasnt any carts, so if you have a heavy load, it could be hard to get from washer to dryer.

Spent $8.50 on the Electolux washer AFTER I found a nice tall lady to put laundry detergent in the top dispenser. No stool as found in other Laundermat. NO CARTS to collect from washer to dryers. A man appeared inside shortly after 2000 slamming doors on the washers. I asked him if he had change for a $20 bill after the change machine rejected my $10 bill. A firm NO & A RUDE DONT CARE POSTURE. Stood at the entrance outside smoking one cigarette after the other . My vehicle was just behind him so I couldnt avoid his smoke. The only plus is that there is plenty of parking.

The bald guy in here helped me out today with straightening out my new dress shirts, he gave me free quarters to do so!

Even though The Big Y is located on the west side of Eugene, it is clean and the staff are helpful and polite. I have never had a bad experience there. The dryers are awesome 5 mins for $0.25, I call them micro-dryers.

This is the only place I go to do laundry. You can park right out front and Im able to watch my clothes the whole time

Filthy, have to compete with the clerks working there doing dropped off laundry for counters, baskets machines even! Always too busy chatting it up to offer any real customer service. The clientele can be shady and your belongings should never be left unattended. The open hours and a couple of the extra large machines get points (prepare to clean them before use) try not to slip on the often flooded floors! Too bad...

Cheerful attendant. I like that they require masks and she wasnt afraid to remind people. Could use a sprucing up but she kept it tidy.

Ive used this place late at night. I only used the washing machines so far because the one at home died. Make sure you set the correct settings on your machine BEFORE YOU START FEEDING QUARTERS. If you dont you just lost that money. Theres quite a parade of people coming and going at that time. You dont want to leave your clothes un-attended. There are signs all around saying masks are required, yet few follow. The security guard on duty also wouldnt wear a mask. And gave me a hard time when I mentioned it to him. They have vending machines for change, soap, supplies, snacks, etc.. bring a spray bottle of disinfectant and spray down the machines you use before you use them.

Awesome place during day. After dark alot of less desireables hang out.

Always friendly staff. Always clean. You can pick up liquor.get a a hair cut. Or get home improvement while you wait. Go in with dirty clothes and came out with clean,dry clothes.

There are plenty of washers and dryers of all sizes. They keep it much more clean and maintained than other laundromats Ive been to. However, their security is lacking, as people without masks during a pandemic have been allowed in and often my clothes have come out of the dryer with more lint and hair on them then when they went in. I advise you going in during the day when they have staff in there working.

Quick and easy machines. Sink with hot and cold water and soap dispenser. Doesnt appear to have a bathroom.

Very clean business with multiple sizes machines to choose from. The staff were helpful and friendly. Only complaint, I used washers closer to door and should have paid attention that the smaller machine were on next row, as a result I spent a little more than I planed but that was my own fault and does not reflex on the business in any way

Dont use white hot water selection. Each time I try (3 to date) my whites appear dinghy or unwhashed. Total let down.I do love the open clean feel of layout and pricing is reasonable. Outside white selection Ive not had machine issues and attending staff have always been available and helpful.Honestly, Id love to change my score to at least a four. What a great self-serve laundry. Lots of washers and dryers of various sizes, that are kept up pretty well. Helen, the owner, is on site weekdays and is very pleasant. The laundry is clean and has plenty pf parking. The only downside is that its attractive to homeless people who arent always the cleanest. Helen does a good job of telling people who are not there to do laundry to leave. Ive had a good experience with leaving a large and very heavy quilt to be washed b y the staff there. They did a good job and ended up charging me less than they had originally quoted.

Where I go when the dryer breaks or blankets need washed. Many machines keep this place busy but just next to the liquor store and a decent pub in a commercial outlet makes not watching your clothes for ten minutes more enticing than risky. I have had to wait once for a washing machine but .Well lit, everything works.

Always has running machines, always clean, good prices, just have to be tolerant of the locals...haha

The Big Y is always clean and affordable. There are always helpful attendants there to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Vending machines are always well stocked and there is a t.v. and local papers to read. Plenty of washers and dryers available. Highly recommended. :)

Always do my weekly laundry there. Friendly staff. Some customers are unnecessarily rude to the staff due to covid rules but staff takes it very well.

Very rude worker. Website says they allow and “specialize” in washing / drying horse blankets. I barely got in the door and was stopped by a worker. She said “Uhm is that a horse blanket? We don’t allow those here. They ruin the machines”

Expensive, cash-only after normal business hours. Attendant not there in evening. Change machine takes $1 to $20 bills for quarters. Prices as of March 2017:$2.75 for a tiny washer.$4.50 for standard front load.$6.50 per load for the two big washers, your best bet if youre doing your familys weekly laundry.Dryers are 6-7 minutes for 25¢, youll need at least half an hour even for a single change of clothes.Laundry soap, bleach packets are $1 each from the machine, your standard laundromat price.Quackers is right around corner, can get quick bar food while your clothes are locked in the washers.

There are several things I like about the Big Y laundry. Large washers & dryers plus every other Wednesday between 6pm & 10pm the Mennonite Church supplies Free laundry including soap.

I do my laundry here once a month. A few times the quarter machine was down, and the vending machine ate a dollar once, other than that their industrial washer and dryer makes washing my bedding and clothing at the same time a breeze. No other problems here.

Nice to have a working crew there. There washers and dryers have always been available. Not too crowded.

Not clean and bugs everywhere. Equipment was old and dirty not kept up well. With two attendance working the place should have at least been cleaner. The attendance were not helpful at all and kinda rude. We are in a hotel and this was our first time using a laundromat they could have treated us better instead of making us feel like we were stupid for asking any questions at all. We used a different laundromat the next week Mohawk in Springfield and had a much better experience. Would definitely recommend a traveler to go there even though its further away.

Mohawk laundry better! Machines are quicker, cleaner and always staffed. They have gambling and drinks attached thru a door. Not just that no quarters needed, use can use debit card to start machines.

Came here because of the convenience of it being open late. Will never make that mistake again. The prices are beyond outrageous. I would never recommend this place to anyone, unless you love spending ridiculous amounts of money on a service you can get for half the cost elsewhere!

NO HOT OR WARM WATER AT ALLLLL. NONE. Staff will say there is, but when the wash water comes in COLD she says it warms in the back of the machine. . . . ??? What?? The water on top is going directly into the machine. It was COLD. It was not the prewash. The hot water hose in back was not warm.. . . . So, if you wash with cold water, this place is nice, spacious, reasonably priced and staff is pleasant (as long as you do not challenge her insistence that there is NO HOT WATER; shell get aggressive defending this obvious untruth). . . . Also, if you have them do your laundry, beware; I saw them SHOVING sheets and towels into the machines, with so much pressure they needed a hip to push the arm shoving the sheets that TIGHTLY into the machine. JAMMED in there. Ugh. Lots of soap put in, but no water will really flush loads like that, and they will never rinse.

One of the worst experiences Ive ever had. They would not allow me to only dry my clothing in the dryer told me I have to put my laundry through their washing machine before I could dry them. Even though I hand wash every thing. Then when I proceeded load the dryer and dry my things the owner came over and insisted that I have to wash them before I dried them. He said why would we want your dirty.laundry in our dryer thing is he was judging me by what I was wearing and assuming I was homeless which is illegal and since he physically touched me it can.be considered a hate crime I could afford to do so all I had was enough money to dry. After I told him that its not posted anywhere in the business as a policy and I was going to dry them. He tried to remove my.belongings from the dryer himself I then reached to grab the dryer door and he assaulted me by grabbing my arm and trying to stop me from getting my stuff. Then started telling the other employee to call the police even though I was trying to remove my laundry so I could leave. I wont ever waste my money at this discriminatory business again.

To exspensive..... Seems most always staff has/is useing most all dryers and most washers to do their contracted out wash, dry and folds leaving walk in customers searching for machines. On more than 1 occassion problems with getting quarters there having to go to other near by businesses for them.
