Definitely an experience worth what it costs. The tech that did my pedicure was really cool and calm. She made me feel at ease. Definitely will be back for the other pedicures they offer. Highly recommended

I never have a great experience at this location. This will be my last time coming to this one. When I came a few months ago, the man doing my pedicure didn’t greet me when he came to the chair and didn’t offer me anything to drink, which I didn’t think much of initially (you’ll know why it was a problem in a second) when he finished my services he didn’t say anything, he just walked away and began services on someone else. And when I saw him approach the next customer he greeted them AND asked would they like a drink. This time, I was charged $7 to remove gel polish because I was getting regular polish which doesn’t make sense because you have to remove it either way. On top of that, I’ve been here before and gotten regular polish after gel and was NOT charged. My service was rushed and made comments on my feet several times during my service. My toe nails were unevenly cut and shaped. I will NOT be back.

I had an amazing experience here. The manager, Kevin, was so nice and accommodating. He answered all my questions and helped me whenever I needed it. My nail tech, Rosa, was so sweet! She kept asking me questions and seemed genuinely interested. Not to mention she did an amazing job on my dip powder manicure. I will definitely be going back!

This is my second time and so far LOVE IT!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about nail care. Huge variety of services and nail colors in regular polish, gel, and dip. The decor is gorgeous! And you get complimentary beverages so could complain!!

I love Gloss Nails Bar and I go to each location periodically - over 2 years. I do have a main location when their busy, but I will come here just for basic - pedicure and manicure. My concern with this location vs the other locations, the workers are ripping people off by $10.00 - $20.00. Gloss Bar has the same owners and uses the same computer system with prices but when you check out, I see and know their charging $10.00 or more and you can have the same services done at Crosstown and E. Memphis locations cheaper. They are building another Gloss Bar here in Memphis too!! FYI, ask about prices prior to services. Im telling you what I know. Theyre doing a fantastic job but stop taking advantage of peoples pocket.

The atmosphere was good but the professionalism was not. I took a friend to get her nails dipped for the first time. We were sat together but the technicians were talking amongst themselves. It became apparent that they were competing to see who could finish first. Another employee questioned them but they continue their competition. My friends nails were not satisfactory but she did not want to deal with the establishment so we left. I’ve been to the other locations and have not had any issues. In the future I will wait for Envy to have appointments.

Went into this salon 4 days ago to get a fill done. I’ve already had a nail completely lift from my regular nail. It was lifting before I went to gloss and I thought the tech would have fixed it after seeing the nail. I thought she probably did fix it, but she did not. I only noticed when I got home because the nail was catching on everything. The nail also had a chip in if before going in so she should have replaced the nail but she just covered the chip with more acrylic and the chipped part has separated from the rest of the nail. The tech also did not ask if I wanted my nails trimmed so I left the salon with uncomfortably long nails for what I like. It took her about 10 minutes to do my set and that quality shows. Definitely not worth the 40 dollars I spent.

I hate it here. Do yourself a favor and find a nail tech who does one on one work. Not a salon crammed with people. Theyve got TONS of polish but no one to help you. Also, why schedule when youll have to wait thirty minutes anyway. Do NOT waste your time or money. This place is overhyped.

Everyone here expect Angie which did my pedicure was horrible! There attitudes are very unwelcoming and unpleasant! It really makes the whole experience uncomfortable! I run my on business and what people don’t understand is that customer service is most important! Angie was very friendly and professional! She should find somewhere else to work! The man at the front was dry and it’s like a dark cloud over the whole nail shop! No one wants to spend their money with mean people.

The lady doing my pedicure did a half job and was rude. I’m truly disappointed I drive and 30 minutes to come here due to service I received in the past.

I got a gel manicure and pedicure on May 17 by the Wed. May 19 the gel polish was coming off my nails. The lady didnt put any type of foot soak or nail soak in the water. Just did my manicure and pedicure in clear water. I still have hang nails that she didnt get off and she filed my toe nails crucket. This place is too expensive not to get what you paid for.

Jennie is amazing.. My pedicures are always very relaxing. My feet feel so loved. Jason does the very best manicures. Love his work. I highly recommend Gloss Nail Bar.

Beautiful salon, but BEWARE! I decided to give this place a try one day because it’s lovely. Never again. I got a French dip and it was very amateurish and the gal that did it seemed like it was her first time. They lifted and cracked very quickly (within days) and I ended up with three nails that now have fungus/mold spots that couldn’t be removed. I’ll have to let them grow out. Use caution!

Omg the experience was the best. Went with my best friend for a pamper day and we both got the jelly pedicure. It was amazing, the nail techs were so nice and held a conversation the whole time. Very enjoyable experience will be going back very soon.

Yesterday evening I got the gloss nail package. I am looking at my nails today, I didnt yesterday like I should have. It looks like I did my own nails and rushed through it. For the price I paid, $66, I expect quality work. Karla did my nails and she was sweet, but her work looks amateur. I am so disappointed. This was my first time here and thought I found a new nail shop to frequent. My mom goes all the time. The older guy that did hers, did a better job.

Covid protocol is followed so that makes me more comfortable. Rosa does a great job on my nails. She answers any question I have. I highly recommend Gloss Nail Bar Highland Row and ask for Rosa. You wont be disappointed.

Lovely facility. I went for a pedicure and full set. The young lady who did my pedicure was good she took her time. When I sat down for my full set the woman started she then hand me off to this man so she could do her toes he was awful, he had a lack of focus, took an exceptionally long time, the shape of the nails are not all the same, i would have said some but i didnt want to be there any longer. I likely wont return or recommend this place. The customer service is awful and they all could use customer service training. And its just 4 days later and i have a broke nail

I went to Gloss Nail bar on Highland last Thursday. The service was good but quality of service didn’t match what I paid for a gloss pedicure and a manicure with shellac polish. My toe nails were cut too short and my shellac polish on my hands started to chip after 5 days. Unfortunately, I will not return because $91 is too much for pedicure and a shellac manicure when it doesn’t last past 5 days.

I had the worst customer service Ive ever experience here. Im honestly still a little shaken as I write this the next day. I went in at 5:30 after work, they said it would be a 30 minute wait since they are short staffed. I was fine with that, but didnt leave until after 8:00. 5 days later, my dip nail fell right off and two other nails were doing the same. I was out of town for the weekend and about to travel again so I called on Monday made an appointment to come back in to get them fixed. When I show up, Isabel the front desk worker says that they are short handed (again) and that they would get to me when they have time...because she (Isabel) was not the one on the phone. As they were about to fix my dip, Isabel comes over and accuses me of lying on the phone (same phone conversation she was not on.) She tells me that I can only get one finger fixed or to leave and come back at 9:30am the next day.When I told her I made an appointment and would not have come in had I known that I they were this busy she disrespectfully says that she has already apologized for being short staffed, and that maybe I should not come in on Monday afternoons since they are so short staffed and that maybe I should not even come in at all. She made me feel so belittled and small. I told her that I felt so disrespected to which she then asked the lady beside me if she was being rude. (Not what I said)She caused a scene saying she did not want to be pulled into the conversation.Thankfully the technician I believe Sydney was kind and fixed my one nail and super glued the other two. Im also very thankful for the ladies beside me who were very kind and consoling after her behavior. I always make an effort to be kind and have even wrote a 5 star review about another technician when they asked me to. I love to support local businesses but I cannot support when customer service is demeaning.

Ive had many manicure/pedicures and this was best experience. They offer a variety of pedicures for example a detox pedicure thats totally refreshing. I definitely will be returning.

Rushed me through in 15 minutes and left me in the chair and started working on someone else with no assistance with my flip flops or indication they were finished. Literally walked away with and left me.

I enjoyed my pedicure but nail tech rushed my nails and didn’t exactly perfect the style. I thought they were cute but they were somewhat poor quality for me to pay $110. Everybody was nice but rushing because of closing.

Today was not good at all. It was completely rushed. My nails are different sizes and thick. I think what upset me the most was after I had to ask for oil, she very quickly and sloppily brushed it across my hands then walked away! I don’t normally do bad reviews, and I’ve been going to this location since they opened. I’m giving two stars because I used to think this was the perfect salon, and I hope they turn it around with so many recent negative reviews. Since they’ve opened, it’s been a steady decline. The prices seem to have gone up. Clearly you’re paying for the two drinks, but I have not been offered one the past few times I’ve been. I also got charged for a coffin shape, as well as length, (which is what I asked for) but they just did a long square. My nails started lifting after one week (dip) and one popped off the day before two weeks. For the price, there are better quality salons in Memphis. I also used to get out of there for the same service, with two drinks, for $10 cheaper and my nails didn’t lift so soon. I may be back to see if it’s gotten to their opening quality, but not in the near future.

I got a pedicure Saturday and they didn’t not do a full pedicure I would not recommend this place I paid over $100 for service and they they couldn’t even look at it or redo it I basically paid $30 for them to polish my toes

I started going to Gloss in January and thought it was a quality experience until my past two visits. In the last two visits, I have had a fill-in service. By the last service, the nail tech had messed up the gel polish. Then, 2-3 days later, 3 more nails broke. I returned to see what they could do regarding my service and they requested that I pay for another full-set on top of the cost I paid servers days ago. I was extremely displeased because: 1. The nail tech did not recommend a full-set service as the expert 2. I continue to pay for broken nails each service because my natural nails have grown to the point that there are no tips on them and they are weak 3. The “solution” and their mannerisms were not professional. I will not be returning because their prices are not worth the level of quality of their service. I will never recommend Gloss to anybody in my network.

This was probably one of the worst gel manicures I have ever received. I was really excited to try out this place while home in Memphis but it was a huge disapointment. First, my manicure was mediocre and began to peel within the hour. I came back the same day to get one of the nails fixed which they did fix. However, its now been 3 days and the other gel polish has completely come off of multiple nails. I am pretty accommodating but this is just unacceptable because I now have to go to another shop to remove their work and start completely over. For $35 I expected higher quality and a manicure done well. This wasnt worth the price -- the gel was plastered on and likely overdone.

A friend referred me to Gloss Nail Bar. The Nail Bar is clean and has a lot of color selections. I received a pedicure and manicure/with dip (no drills used). The nail technician was Jennie. Jennie was friendly, patient with me as I selected my color (when I asked her opinion between two colors- her color choice was beautiful on my nails) and her work is exceptional. I received lots of compliments on my nail color and nails. My experience at the salon overall was wonderful. As a result of my wonderful experience with Gloss and Jennie, I have referred Gloss and Jennie to colleagues, friends and family.

I went on Friday, August 28, 2020 and recieved an overlay and pedicure. On Saturday, September 5th I have VERY Little polish left on my toes. It has all chipped off and my cuticles look terrible. I paid almost $100 for these 2 services and the quality of products they use are trash. I will never cheat on my regular manicurist again.

I highly recommend Ja$on and yes that’s how his name tag is. But he did a FANTASTIC JOB ON MY NAILS. I previously went to a nail salon that I love so I want blast them but the older lady there did an AWFUL JOB. But Jason restored the damage and my nails came out BEAUTIFULLY.

Atmosphere is nice, the staff is nice. I live the decor here. You get 2 complimentary drinks with any service but you really paying for them because everything is so overpriced. Its really just mediocre quality/service so you could get the same for cheaper elsewhere. You pay for the experience/ambiance really. Ill probably return though

2.5 stars... I only get my nails done once a year for the military ball. My experience with getting an acrylic full set was great. The nails were beautiful and the lady noticed that a few nails weren’t opaque. She didn’t just ignore it and wait for me to say something. She fixed it herself. Then came time to get the nails removed... I was soaking for about 20min and then someone came over. She didn’t have a license number on and just seemed to be working the front desk. The way she had the blade shaving my nails wasn’t angled correctly and/or she was pressing too hard. The middle of my nails started bleeding!!! She didn’t ask if I was okay, she just said “Are you going to give your nails a break after this?” I have about three marks on the same hand with dried blood (its been two days). I will try to insert photos. I left unpleased and probably will not return due to this issue.

I was recommended to come to Gloss by a friend. I loved the environment of Gloss. It’s beautiful inside. I made an appointment, though, several days before. When I walked in I had to wait 15 min for my first treatment, and another 20 for my second treatments. Essentially, I was just another walk in, even though I took the time to make an appointment. Including wait time, I was at the salon for 2.5 hours, and almost 1 hour of that was waiting. If you aren’t going to honor appointments, don’t say you take appointments. It’s all about managing expectations.When I left, I was quite satisfied with my nails. I got a dip manicure, and they were so well done!! However, last night, a mere 4 days later, I noticed a chip on one of my fingers. This is extremely disappointing, since they said a dip manicure would last 3 weeks. 4 days is way less than 3 weeks. I’m definitely disappointed, and will have to consider whether or not I use them again.

Sydney gave me a fantastic Manicure! I stopped by randomly to try out Gloss Nail Bar on Highland on a Friday at 5 p.m. I didnt have a reservation. It was a 5 minute wait. Tons of polishes to choose from. The staff were very professional and friendly. My Mani looks amazing and Ive had tons of compliments on it. Great value and quality service. Ill definitely come back!

The tech started doing the exact opposite of what I asked her to do on my nails. Then she was extremely rude to me when I stopped her from performing the wrong service.Within 8 days, 3 nails were already broken at the tip. The owner stated that they do not guarantee any of their services.I paid 74.00 to get my nails done. I’m highly disappointed.The place was highly recommended by others but the nail tech that I was given was horrendous.

I have come to this location every two weeks for over a year. Today I received the best shellac Mani/pedi by Thuy! She was so gentle and sweet the entire time. She was very careful and you can tell she takes pride in her work.

Gloss doesnt use a drill, which is wonderful. I come here every 3 weeks for the dip. It would last 4 weeks, but my nails naturally grow fast. Lisa is wonderful. She is so sweet and detailed. Im always satisfied. I use her everytime now.

Gloss nail bar is my go to place! I hardly ever have to wait, & if I do have to wait it’s 5-10 minutes. They are so helpful & willing to make any changes to my nails that I want. I got my nails done on Sunday & today I had to spray paint something unplanned & it got on my nails. I went to gloss & they fixed it for free! Great customer service.

I had a pedicure and gel polish on Friday August 31, the tech apparently didnt know what she was going. She did a botch up job on my pedicure and gel polish she never used the UV light she kept fanning my trying to get them to dry in spite of me telling her numerous times this is gel polish. When she tried to put me under the dryer upfront, I asked again is this a UV light. I then proceeded to speak with receptionist and I told her look at my pedicure and nails, she has her to remove my nail polish and asked for my phone number stating someone will be calling me. No one called and Ive been to the emergency room because of an infection on my big toe from using dirty utensils. My foot hurt so bad that my sheet couldnt touch my foot. I will never visit this place again. If I could give 0 stars thats what they will get. My daughter had a manicure and pedicure and her manicure looked a mess. I have a staph infection and spoke with the owner and he stated if I didnt bleed when the nail tech did my pedicure that I didnt get a staph infection . I asked for a refund he offered to redo my nails for $25, my nail polish was brand new and hadnt been opened. The I did not see the tech open a new package, she got the pumice stone out of a drawer that was used before, Im a regular customer at Gloss Nail on Erin and never experienced this. Also Willow did my nails a month ago and I did not experience any problems.

I love them!!! I have gotten powder dip polish for years but Gloss is the only salon Ive used that doesnt use drills and the nails are FABULOUS! They dont upcharge you for basic services such as a soak off or nail shaping like other salons. I am a true believer and a committed customer. Pauline is a MASTER of ombre dip powder nails!!

I have never had a good experience at this nail location. I went today thinking I was just getting a soak off so it would be a nonissue. Well, they pulled them off after I asked twice to have them soaked off. My nails looked so bad and we had to go back over them four times with two different technicians to get them buffed and smoothed because the first guy I had no idea what I was saying when I said I didn’t not want them to look that way and that’s why I requested them to be soaked not pulled. Then I get to check out after this 1.5 hour long ordeal. And a soak off is $5 (what I WANTED) and this ordeal they put my nails through was $12. Would recommend diva or elite in east Memphis ANY day over this salon.

I usually enjoy my service that I receive from Gloss but today I did not receive exceptional service. I was not even offered anything to drink. I asked for a dip manicure however, the tech that administered my service failed to even finish my manicure and I had to ask another tech for the cuticle oil. This particular tech proceeded to the back of the salon and carry on a phone conversation rather than complete the service that should have been rendered. I was very disappointed. I will never let this particular tech perform another service for me again!

After going to other nail shops and not getting what I wanted this was a wonderful experience. Well its been a little while a these people have changed no friendly services anymore hate trying to find a new shop but Im done.🤷🏾‍♀️😤

Negative stars! complete waste of time and money!I went there on my WEDDING day and asked for a simple nude nail polish, same color for both hand and toe nails. The girl sweet talked me into getting dip powder since its my wedding and how special its going to be... anyway after putting like 10 layers on my nails and making them thick as hell, I ended up with totally different colors on toe and finger nails! When I showed her she casually said oh! I didnt pay attention to the colors! really? on someones wedding day? or even on a random day?Also my fingers were covered in scratches and were hurting for a few days after and their excuse was that my skin is so thin and they didnt notice!After my honeymoon (and after being self conscious about my nails the whole time) I went back so they can fix it or give me a refund at least. guess what? I got neither and in fact all I got was a rude attitude!They claimed that polish and dip color will never be the same thing! and of course they didnt mention any of that when they were talking me into getting the dip for my nails and the same color was the only thing I asked for the day of my wedding! let me be clarify it wasnt slightly different it was different in every way possible!
