Bartons is a beacon of light in the mire of repair shops who just try to separate you from as much money as possible. Got a quote within an hour of dropping off vehicle that was almost half of two other shops. Repair was not debilitating so allowed me to use vehicle for a few days while waiting on parts and had the vehicle fixed the same day they started repairs. No surprises and great results! Cannot recommend them enough..

Ive been using Bartons for the last 3 years and I cannot stress enough how amazing they are. As a woman, it can sometimes be hard to find a mechanic I can trust. I fully trust Bartons. Theyre always honest about what the issue is and how to fix it. They outline all the possible options and help you make the best decision for you. I’ve been taking my car here for a few years now for routine maintenance and even som bigger jobs. Every single time I’m met before I can get out of my car by a technician ready to help me out. These guys are very trustworthy, knowledgeable, and won’t try to oversell you on services you don’t need. It’s hard to find trustworthy folks nowadays so it’s nice when you find a gem like this place!

We were on our way to VA to visit family in the hospital. We started having power steering issues. We called Barton because they were the closest to where we were on 40. They were able to get us in right away and established that we had a power steering issue due to a recall. The staff was friendly, efficient and took the time to go over the issues with us. We highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

I just needed a tire plugged. I went to the Walmart that the tires were purchased at and was told there was no hole. Then I went to Gateway Tire at Poplar and Holmes and they had a 4 hour wait. So I went to Bartons. I was They showed me was stuck in the tire. Patched it and I was gone 20 to 30 minutes later. Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable and easy to deal withIve been there before and have never had an any issue with the work done. Highly recommend it for any car related issues.

Very efficient and honest! Really appreciate the transparency here and they take the time to explain what is wrong with the car. Was having AC issues. Brought my car in at 7am and it was ready to go an hour and a half later. The chain companies around here said it would take all day. Such a nice neighborhood business.

Since I was told that the headlight on my car needed to be fixed outside of just replacing a bulb, I decided to search the internet for a car repair shop close to where I was. I had come across Bartons Car Care and called them. The initial person I spoke with was very kind and pleasant to talk to over phone. He told me it is preferable to bring car in the morning time, but he told me to come on in. The mechanic who approached me as I pulled on the lot was awesome. He listened to my concerns and took my car into the shop and the repair was made in no time. They actually saved me a lot of money from what I was told by another shop who wanted to charge $150 and it wasnt even necessary. I really appreciate the care, concern and honesty shown towards me at Bartons. You guys are awesome.........keep up the great work!!

Asked for an oil pressure switch to be changed and they knocked it out same day. They also checked for oil leaks and changed my oil. Good people, price was fine as well. Definitely will use them for future auto maintenance.

I simply love this place. The service is good, the people are friendly and there are no curtains being pulled over your face. Everything is up front and honest, the way it should be. They dont do heavy mechanical work but the have no problem suggesting the right place to take your vehicle for those problems.

This is my favorite local auto shop - I have always been impressed with the outstanding service. This auto repair place was recommended to me from my former boss, as well as many friends. I brought my beloved old Honda CRV there when it started having issues & an used car I was thinking about purchasing to get a professional opinion before pulling the trigger. Today Bartons helped me with my Subaru Outback and the service reminded me that I really only need to come to them for all of my car needs. I feel like the staff is straightforward and solution orientated, which I really appreciate.

My neighbor recommend this auto shop about 3 years ago. I been taking my car ever since. Everyone was nice and professional. Love these guys. Getting engine mounts done on my car as I type. Relocating, had to be sure car was up to par. The downside I have to find another mechanic shop in my new area.

Bartons Car Care was amazing today. They helped my daughter repair minor damage to the underside of her car after she ran over debris in the road. She said they were so friendly and helpful, and the cost was very reasonable. I am in Middle Tennessee and am so thankful that they were there for her.

Ive read many reviews on Bartons. I dont read ANY who are a part of ANY Automotive industry. No one really knows how their work is or has a professional technician look at their vehicle. Who am I? A retired automotive professional from one of the American Big 3. 8 years in a dealership hired into the Corp. Wore many hats during my career. 1st was a tech that repaired/investigated buy-back vehicles from the BBB and courts. Onto the job as the scan tool development engineer, then to OBD-2 diagnostic specs for EPA/CARB and calibrations. Last was a Transmission calibration engineer. My experience may lead to to decide yourself.Purchased a car in Memphis. Bartons was the place it was serviced it for years. As an actual technician perspective, I would NEVER EVER USE this place. As about a year wore on, I a got First hand look to correct a horror story from this place. One problem was coolant leaks. 3 repairs/visits they replaced the radiator cap and each return/comeback, Bartons sold another radiator cap that NEVER fixed it. Root cause was the overflow hose was FULL and plugged with Stop Leak. Next and simple. The air filter was BROKEN and has collapsed inside the housing. The filter media only covered 2/3rds of its area allowing unfiltered air/dirt/large particals to pass into the engine. When the head gasket blew, all the valves were worn out from this simple broke filter when they leaned and broke the plastic stays. (Car ran this way for 30,000 miles and 5 service visits where the filter had to be removed to repair other areas.) The timing belt idler pulleys were so tight a pair of vise-grips and a pry bar was nec to break these bolts loose and replaced. The timing belt was VERY LOOSE and only had 11,000 miles on it. So loose and not installed properly the belt teeth were cracking. Poor install and LOW GRADE PARTS. The transmission oil was worn out and black. This lead to an overhaul.In this state there is No recourse for owners to go against a shop. Unlike Michigan has. If the state had this, I would have a court case to present these problems to a judge. Other states close places like this.If you decide to use this place, its your vehicle. Personally I wouldnt allow them to put air in a bicycle tires. I have the repair records. Places as such need to be investigated.

I have an Audi which Bartons does not work on, but I had a flat and they were very nice and fit it into a very busy morning. They helped me immediately. They have worked on my Fords for years and I have always been happy with their work and efficiency.

Excellent and quick service at an affordable cost. As a student from out of town, I needed multiple fixes on my car and Bartons always came through, and at much better costs than anywhere else. Bartons is the only place I would recommend for repairs and maintenance.

I have been there a handful of times in the past few years. The friend who recommended me to that place mentioned that these guys actually care about fixing your car and not just finding ways to make money from you and its exactly what I have noticed myself.They are knowledgeable, fast and straightforward and wont waste your time. The last time I stopped by for a diagnostic, they changed my oil for free.

If they perform a service and do work on the vehicle and it breaks down again soon after, they take care of that as well. Dealership told my wife that she needes new brake pads and an oil change. Wisely, she asked that I drop it at Bartons. Pads were fine and oil still had 1000 miles on it. They even fixed a loose wheel well panel, no charge! Honest folks 100%. 10/10 would reccomend.

I took my car to Firestone after I started noticing a high-pitched squealing/whistling sound coming from the alternator. They wanted to replace the alternator belt, tensioner, crankshaft pulley, and idler pulley for almost $800. I called Bartons for a second opinion, brought it in the next day, and was told all that was needed was a new alternator belt. $115 later and my car is purring like a (very quiet) kitten. Im glad to have saved the money and glad that Bartons spared me from getting BSd by the other place. Thanks guys!

My car broke while visiting Memphis. I was referred to Bartons. Two mechanics took the time to test drive and examine the problem right away. They advised that another shop would be better for my bad CV joint and directed me there. The fact that they were honest and didnt take advantage of me when I was obviously in a bind says to me these guys are high caliber. The shop they referred me to, Stigler Alignment, proved to be excellent, too.

The mechanics here are all mechanically savvy, and they are quick to refer you to a specialist before getting into the deep end. This is just the place for basic service, diagnostics, and light repair on your mainstream auto.
