If I could give a negative -10, I would. I took my truck to this shop Affordable Auto Repair to have a exhaust pipe hanger weld back on. I never got a price until the mechanic had supposeingly finished the work. $150 was my total according to the young lady at the counter. I couldnt believe a $50 job was about to cost me $150. I paid and left. However, I made it home, 5 minutes away. And the pipe was hanging. A simple tac weld job just got real. I go back the next morning and the owner is in. I showed him the problem and he immediately started making excuses. He asked me to go purchase a new hanger for them to try to repair the hanging pipe (Straighten up their screw up). But, the not so funny part is theyre over charging and not doing quality work. Pretty much not doing any work. I left and found a guy at Action Auto Service to get it done right. Upon entering Affordable Auto Repair make sure you have a premium lube with you. Cause if you do business with them you will definitely end up getting screwed!

Made quick stop this morning to ask to use air pump quickly because my tire was very low and gas station was further up. Employees the were not to friendly and they charged me $1.00 for the one second air machine use. Ridiculous just ridiculous.

I would not recommend them to my enemy. I took my car there for a diagnostic and went back to pay just to find my car had been broken in and parts stolen off. The manager talking about he’s not responsible for the car once it’s taken out of the bay. This is why you can’t do business with Black owned Business this right here!!!!!!! This place needs to be closed down!!!

Do not take yo car here u they charge me a 1000 dollars to fix my thermostat, water pump and radiator.. wen I got my car back the next day it didnt crank up, something underneath my car is rattling an my back up sensor goes off when theres nothing behind me... And the son got mad cuz I brought my car back up there n call the police to ban me off the property.... Horrible service, an if u a female take a man with u cuz they will finesse u

Im only giving 1 star because thats as low as I can go. My first indication that this place was shady is when I tried to pay with a card but they told me that all the take is cash and Cash App. These people are horribly unorganized and unprofessional. Its more like a hangout spot than a mechanics shop. They told me my entire engine needed to be replaced, but I went and got a second opinion and all my car needed was a pulley replaced. Drastic difference! That was my first and last experience with them. I will never send anyone to them for service and I strongly discourage anyone else from doing so either.

My car is driving worst than when I took it to them. After spending to much money.

These guys were great when we were on our way to vacation they got us in tht day maybe only took 3 hours. It had a good bit of problems the wheel broke off. And they didnt charge to much

When they name their business Affordable Auto Repair they wouldnt lieing they are respectable people they told me what they was going to do to my car and they are quick

My friend went to this shop while I was on the phone with him! They gave him a quote & price & told him that he would be taken care of. I’m a mechanic myself so I could tell when they started to play games with him. My friend asked them what all would be done & they explained it to him. My first problem with them was the mere fact that they only have him a 90 day warranty for a severe car problem. Everyone that knows anything about cars know that severe issues are covered under warranty for AT LEAST a year. 2nd issue was the fact that I heard them lie about Not having a part that my friend bought & took in to them. It was sitting literally on the tool box. They ONLY found it when he said he had his receipt. Last but not least, the attitude they gave him was very unprofessional! I’ve done more than my share of work in an auto repair shop. The way they treated & handled him was way past poor. No manager or worker should ever run a business if they truly wont take the time out to fix what needs to be fixed. His car had to be taken back TWICE for the same issues & they kept adding issues on top of the previous issues. Long story short, he took his car to another shop, got a 2 year warranty, & his car actually fixed. No games or anything. Sad to say that it took him $4000 first but in the end, everything worked out. Don’t waste your $$$ here !!!

I Won’t be going back it seems to me they just want your money & all their doing is smoking, watching nasty videos and eating. Oh and their not affordable 😂the lies.

This review is long overdue. My apologies. My experience is nothing less than fantastic with this shop. I was in town for only two days and had to have work done on my Ford Explorer before I continue on a 600 mile drive. Not only was I short on time, it was on a Sunday and Monday. I got quotes for a simple tune up, a broken door handle, and a bad alternator. The quotes I received from one Firestone was over $1500, and from a different Firestone it was over $1800. These guys did not cut me any breaks, but their costs were a lot lower and were extremely fair compared to that of the chain stores. They were fair and extremely friendly. They treated me and my family with courtesy and respect. They were also very forthcoming and knowledgeable when they explained to me what was happening with my car. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are clearly the neighborhood shop that you want working on your car. As my family lives in Memphis and I travel there several times a year, I will literally drive to them to have my car worked on again, and my families cars. You guys are fantastic!!! Probably the worst repair shop in Memphis. They are not capable of fixing suspension issues with foreign cars.

Very professional and friendly. My car was seriously overheating. They found and fixed the problem within minutes. I recommend these guys.

I took my car there to get tire change and spoke with older gentleman who I was more than pleased with, he told me that I needed alignment on my car due to the fact that tires were being worn out on inside. Came back to get alignment, the repair man came in told me I needed ball joints,so I said well just do that instead of wheel alignment, he said sorry to late already did it, drove my car off the lot and my car was swerving all over the place. I took car back told them what was going. I left went another mechnic who then told me that my alignment could not have been done and if it was it wasnt suppose to due to other worn parts needing to be fixed call them while on the phone and told them what mechanic said, was told that I can bring it back and they will put on machine and I was hung up on. II got a Statement that the work was not done properly from mechanic. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE.

They misdiagnosed my trucks problem and it on died the same day. They wouldnt rectify the problem at all. A complete waste of money and THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. A horrible mechanic shop!
